As Kendra made her exit from the room, glad that no one trie to stop her, she spared a glance behind her as the Question gave his threat, and she felt herself instinctively clench her teeth and practically choke back any biting comments she had been so tempted to make. You're not helping yourself, Kendra, she told herself, taking a deep breath. Just walk away. As she was about to continue her exit, she was able to see as Tea, or Armoury as she was also called, slapped Question in the face. Kendra raised an eyebrow. While a small part of her had expected Sarin to show aggression towards the Question, she had not expected that from Tea. She didn't know much about Tea, who seemed from the outside to be a nice and relatively normal girl who would probably be easy to get on with, and she hadn't really given her a second thought. In the past, Kendra had only really noticed those she felt she had to be wary of - the Question now being one of them - or people she felt she should make a stronger allegiance with. Tea didn't really fit into those categories before now, but that slap, something Kendra had been restraining not to deliver herself, had really given Kendra respect for the other girl, and she felt a need to show at least some sign of gratitude towards Tea. As Tea exited after her, Kendra slowed her pace slightly so she could be beside the other girl. "Thanks," Kendra said. "I mean, you didn't have to do that, and it might not have been the wisest move... but thanks." The words came out slightly awkwardly and unnatural. How long had it been since Kendra had shown real gratitude towards another person? She couldn't remember. She'd kind of cut herself off from everyone else since Juliet died, never allowing herself to get too emotionally involved with others. Even on Paradise Isles, there had been a barrier between her and the Amazons, something that had made it so she had never truly been able to connect with them. Then again, the Amazons had been wary of her as an outsider, and while they had eventually come to respect her power, she'd never been one of them. If Kendra hadn't been so proud, she would have admitted she felt loneliness at this realisation, but she couldn't admit it. She had to remain the self-dependent person people believed she was. Maybe that was why didn't want people knowing about her past, about her deal with Mammon. She didn't want others to view her as the classic damsel-in-distress who needed to be rescued from the big bad dragon. She wanted people to believe she was capable, competent. She wanted respect. Though... maybe some long forgotten part of her did desire friendship, but that was secondary. The only person she had really cared about had died, and now there was this huge hole in her heart that Kendra doubted she could ever truly refill. The only thing Kendra had left was her power and the strength it gave her to keep moving on regardless, the image it gave her as the soothsayer, the oracle, the self-reliant warrior who could see the future. She didn't want the Question to take that away from her. What kind of person would be left if she didn't have that? "We haven't been formally introduced," Kendra continued after a pause. "I'm Kendra, but I'd prefer if you called me Cassandra." She smiled, or rather tried to smile. She wasn't sure how sincere it appeared. "And you're Tea, right?" She decided to say this now, in case she had gotten the other girl's name wrong in her mind. Best to try and memorise everyone's names at this point and at least try to get to know her teammates on some basic level. Not... not because she wanted their friendship. It was purely so they could work together as smoothly as possible in future missions. Yes. That was the only reason.

The last thing Tea expected as she made her way back was to be talked to, so she nearly jumped a foot in the air when she heard a voice beside her. "Huh? O-oh, yeah. Um. You're welcome" she stumbled a bit before getting her act together "I'm sorry if I made things worse for you. I just. One's past is a precious thing. And just hearing that man violate yours without any concern, and for such a stupid reason. It sounded like he was practically forcing himself on you. I just got so mad!" Tea turned to look at her teammate "Oh, but I'm not usually like that. I-it takes a lot to get under my skin and... and... *cough, cough* Um... Let me start over" Tea closed her eyes and derezzed her armor, before bowing to the girl she now knew as Kendra. "Hello Ms. Cassandra. My name is Tea C. Sun the V. But you can call me Tea. I hope we can work together efficiently as teammates and get together wonderfully as friends" she said, in a manner where you could tell she had been up all night rehearsing this "Er, um... if you'll let me"...

Dana chewed her lip, watching The Question awkwardly after he was slapped in the face. Her suit glowed in an aurora of different shades of red, yellow, and orange, like the flames of burning coal. She opened her mouth to speak, but said nothing. She sighed, watching Tea and Kendra socialize. Standing up, Miss Mountain let her curly blonde hair rest on her shoulders, walking quickly past The Question so he wouldn't say something negative to her.

11:40 am Killian stepped out of a convenience store on the corner of Grell Avenue with an energy drink in hand. Something about it reminded him of a fruit he'd eaten before back home on Cargg. It had been relatively quiet the last few days in Star City, and Killian didn't get out of HQ nearly enough. Once in awhile he used to go exploring in the woods of the park with Shock, since she'd been gone he hadn't really thought much about it. He was a musician back home, played something like a guitar with more strings and more bells and whistles. Music shops in the 21st century were something he enjoyed. But suddenly, the out of costume hero heard a commotion down the street. Traffic started getting slowed down with plenty of beeping and cussing civilians to go around. Several people were trying to get video on their smart phones. The Rogues of Central City moved west. Star City was an easier place to set up shop for awhile and get a decent score. Retiring was always something Snart [aka Capt. Cold] had planned on, and he was losing the race against the Flash back in Central City. The last few successful jobs he used his cut to upgrade his tech. Now the Rogue quite literally had a cold gun, or rather cannon, built into his left arm. Along with a tech'ed out Heatwave, a new Top, and Girder the Rogues robbed two banks across the street from each other. When Killian got close enough he knew he had to get back to the team. Searching the neural net, Killian transferred his consciousness and duplication power to the first Ditto he felt at HQ. The duplicate however still felt the need to help and saw civilians trapped between busted up cars. His strength still formidable he went in to assist rescue crews and what little police force was in the city. His blue eyes' glow finally pierced the contacts, burning them away. Girder managed to catch a glimpse of the young hero and remembered the confrontation with Young Justice and the Flash back in Central City years earlier. Within minutes of the original Killian transferring his consciousness and duplication power to a new body back at HQ, the duplicate was attacked by an enraged Girder. Back at HQ... Killian was in the body of a Ditto currently raiding the fridge in the kitchen. With a spark of energy in his eye he raced toward the monitor room to activate the alarm. But before reaching the button he blacked out and hit the floor. There was no question, it wasn't a duplicate's pain he felt, rather his duplicate was just killed. The team had yet to hear the news of the twin robberies in downtown Star City. The clock on the wall read 11: 48 am. How long would it be before another duplicate or teammate came across the floored Ditto in the hallway leading to the monitor station? ~KL~

Dana Quinn, who as been sitting quietly (clever girl) in the room the entire time, scurry's past as I still ponder on the recent developments. Her shoulders are hunched, while her pace is rushed. [i]Deduction[/d]; Miss Quinn is hoping I wont notice her. Ha! Doesn't she know who I am? Noticing things is 'my deal' , as the youth of the day say. Luckily for her I have other things to occupy my attention at the moment though. I leave the room, studiously ignoring the Ditto Clone as I do, and make my way towards the monitor room. I am convinced that Cassandra's mysteries are all tied to the her sudden journey to paradise isle, and that if I can discover the reason for her trip then I will be one step closer to making her accept my help. No doubt the League will have details on her history, and I should be able to hack into their system through the terminal in the monitor room. After all, how difficult can their system be to crack when they allow an oaf like Hawkman to access it. Anything more complicated than a four digit passcode would probably stump that cretin. My plans are interrupted (most of my plans are rudely interrupted. It is my curse to suffer for the deeds of other. This time I am willing to make an exception though) when I come across a prone Ditto, lying just in front of the Monitor room. Again I feel the world around me begin to slow down, Cassandra's problems taking a back seat as a new mystery presents itself. Quick scan reveals victim to be alone. Assuming Kargitte physiology is similar to that of a human's, an assumption supported by the medical records in Ditto's file, I go to feel for a pulse, then check his breathing, finally pulling his eyelids back to inspect his eyes. Deduction; pulse present, breathing normal if slowed, pupils dilate when presented with direct light. likely victim is alive, though alien biology presents room for error. A through inspection reveals the body is unharmed. Interesting. No immediate reason for his current state. I cast my mind back through the Kargitte's files, recalling every fact perfectly, searching for an answer. It comes to me in a flash. Ditto is a duplicater, yes, one who shares a telepathic link with all his 'clones'. Apparently any trauma any of the clones suffer travel down their neural link to reflect back onto the original. One of the clones must have displayed their usual level of intelligence and gotten itself into a serious spot of trouble, getting so badly injured that the original suffered sufficent trauma to pass out. I sigh at the stupidity of it. I can smell violence on the air, the oncoming rush of some action heavy adventure. This 'Young Justice' was proving to be a dangerous place to be, especially for one such as myself who prefers not to get involved in the more direct aspects of vigilantism. I cross into the monitor room, leaving Ditto where he lay for someone more suited in the tending of injured alien leaders to deal with him. I activate the alarm and, while awaiting the arrival of my team mates, begin scanning for local emergencies. No doubt it will save us time later.

Kendra couldn't help but smile - a real genuine smile - at Tea's nervousness. Kendra couldn't say she was an expert on people, but she could sense that Tea wasn't just a nice person, but she was a good person. Perhaps a little naive, but good. And cute. Kendra felt a flush of embarrassment at that thought. Okay, that's going too far, she told herself, and quickly composed herself. She held that warm smile and placed a hand on Tea's shoulder. "I hope so too," she said. She was about to say something else, when the alarm sounded. "Huh?" She glanced all around her, caught in momentary panic. It was only after a second that she understood what was happening: someone had sounded the alarm, meaning that something was wrong. Kendra switched in a more serious mode of thinking, and glanced at Tea. "That's the alarm," she said. "We need to report to the monitor room right now. You coming?"

Seeing Cassandra lips curl into such a warm smile GREATLY put Tea at ease, as her nervousness began to ebb away. For a second, she thought she saw the woman's cheeks go light pink, but it was probably a trick of the light. She placed her hand on Tea's shoulder for the first time in a long time, Tea felt like she actually belonged. She was about to convey her gratitude when the alarm went off. Not sure what was going on, she turned to her new acquaintance as she spoke. Now that she knew what that meant, the pieces fell into place "Of course. Let's move!" she said, serious and exited at the same time. Her first mission as a hero (maybe?). She wasn't gonna pass that up! Grabbing Cassandra's hand she dragged her along directly to the monitor room (one of the few places Ditto actually showed her, and the only one she actually mapped out). When they got there, Tea's heart plummeted for a brief second as she saw the Mouth already there. But she quickly recovered when she noticed Ditto's body. She darted over and checked his vitals real quick. He was fine, but she was couldn't figure out what happened "Hey. Mouth. Stupid question, but do you know how he ended up like this?" she asked, pretty damn sure the jackass would have some condescending remark to make regarding her inability to figure out what happened.

Jin was resting against Gabe, drinking in his warm comfort. There was something else she'd wanted to tell him, but she didn't want this time to be over. He and her and the warm sun, and nothing else. It was perfect, and she didn't want it spoiled by her problem. Apparently the universe had other plans, as the alarm started to blare from the rooftop speakers. "...damn." She frowned in annoyance, then lifted her head and kissed Gabe gently. "I suppose we'll have to continue this after we fix problems." Getting up, she felt her ears whine in annoyance and the dull throb present (and ignorable) in her head flare into a red scream of pain. "Nngh." She flinched and then hid it. "I'm gonna get my gear." Smiling at him, she headed down to her room. She moved quick, but as soon as she sat and started to yank her clothes off, her head complained, sending an intense wave of pain through her skull. It took all of her training not to scream, but she suddenly felt her stomach twist violently. She barely made it to her garbage can before she started to vomit.

Cassandra and Tea are the first to respond to the alarm, Tea bumbling over to Ditto's body to check his vitals. She then asks me if I know how he ended up in his current state. At least she shows a admirable level of self awareness as, yes, it was a stupid question. "Of course." I answer her absentmindedly, calmly awaiting the rest of the team to arrive.

Kendra followed after Tea, though she didn't have much choice as Tea, who was much stronger than she looked, pulled her along by her hand until they reached the unconscious body of Ditto... well, one of the Dittos. The Question was there too, much to Kendra's disdain, and she smirked when Tea addressed him as Mouth. She was starting to like Tea more and more. Kendra raised an eyebrow as Question responded, rather absent-mindedly, that, yes, he did know what was wrong with Ditto. "Greeeeeat," Kendra said, stretching the word out as long as possible so its sarcasm was truly conveyed. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest. "Care to share that tidbit of information with us, oh wise one?" Her tone probably turned out a lot more bitter than she had meant it to, but it wasn't as if she was talking to someone she respected, so it didn't really matter that much.

A sigh of displeasure escapes my lips as I turn to face Cassandra. Her sarcasm is hardly condusive, though I should have expected as much from her. She presents herself as an intellectual, one who considers information as power. There is some supporting evidence to her act, though like all those possesed of her crude type of cunning it is very easy to rattle her cage, to disturb her air of superiority. Now she lashes out, as transparant as glass. "Yes, yes, I'm sure if sarcasm was a science you would hold a PhD, but the fact of the matter is that the answer to Ditto's current situation is really very obvious. Someone who considers herself 'the smartest person in the room', should be able to figure it out toot-sweet. Especially as I managed it with my distinct lack of powers." And there you have it. I have cut to the core of Cassandra's dislike for me. It isn't my direspect for others privacy, or my blunt attitude. After all, I have my suspicions that she employs similar means to achieve her goals when others present themselves as an obstacle. No, her real problem is that I more than likely usurp her role as 'the smart one'. She views me as the Cassandra 2.0. She needn't worry though. Mother says they broke the mould when they made me, though I am inclined to disagree. There was no mould for my development, as I am completely unique. Never before was there one like me and never again will the world see my like again. I care very little for "taking someones place". I leave that juvenile behavior to the uneducated masses, all willing to climb all over each other to reach the top. "Though as I can hardly resist the temptation to truly earn my new nickname, thank you for that by the way Miss. Sun, I will elucidate, just this once. You see Mr Darukk shares a psychic link with all of his many doubles, which you would no doubt know already as I imagine it common practice for one to read up on their teammates. While this link does have it's advantages, wordless communications and being able to transfer the 'prime' conciousness at will amongst them, it also has its drawbacks. Chief amongst them being that any damage the doubles suffers is reflected back upon the original. If the damage proves sufficent, say the death of a double, then there is the possibility of the original 'blacking out'." "Upon discovery of our comatose leader, and already being aware of his weakness I activated the alarm, knowing you would all come toddling along at a pace that suited you all." I stop and check my watch. One minute and twenty two seconds, and still most hadn't arrived, a shameful display. I shake my head and tsk theatrically, for no other reason than to annoy the two woman. I admit I am a little ashamed that I am lowering myself to their level. "I have since checked the police broadcasts in the area, fairly certain of what I would find. Sure enough, there are two consecutive bank robberies just off of Grell Street. Suspects appear to be Captain Cold, Heatwave, Spinning-Top and Girder. All of the Flashes Rogues, and all considered extremely dangerous. My theory is that one of the Ditto's came across this disturbance and relayed the message back to the original. Ditto-Prime then attempted to set off the alarm, but his double was injured, or more likely killed, before he had the chance." I stop to let the information sink in, while cursing my own arrogance. I'll probably have to explain that to everyone else now too!

Miss Mountain was lurking nearby and managed to hear the entire debriefing of the situation, fortunately for The Question. She felt she was coming off as weird and creepy with the silence and stealth in her walk so she cleared out her throat before speaking, "What are Flash's enemies doing in Star City?" That was the first time her teammates heard her voice.

At the Question's comments towards her, which came off almost as the verbal equivalent of a slap to the face, Kendra felt her hands tighten into fists, before she relaxed them again. She waited as the Question explained the situation before speaking again. "No, Question," she said, coolly. "You obviously do have a superpower. Your power is that every time you open your mouth, everyone in the room gets the powerful urge to throttle you." It was then Miss Mountain made her presence known and Kendra glanced round at the girl. "Maybe they all got sick of being thwarted by the Flash and are trying to, err, 'make a living', in a different city," Kendra suggested. She grimaced slightly at the thought before glancing back at the unconscious Ditto. They must have done a number on one of his clones for him to end up like that.

'Left jab... Right cross... Jab, cross, hook, cross, roundhouse... Stay focused... Stay relax-' The thought was cut short by the ringing of the alarm. Beck sighed as he wiped the sweat from his brow, and stepped away from the bag. 'Always something,' he thought to himself. Not many knew he kickboxed. It wasn't a technique he employed often in combat, simply because he didn't have to. Why bother, when he could simply whack an opponent with a chunk of ice? That said, it wasn't entirely a hobby; he took up a form of hand-to-hand combat at Ice's request. It was, however, extremely satisfying. He removed his gloves and handwraps as he ran to his room to suit up. The alarm could mean anything, he had to be ready. Now out of sweats and into costume, Beck skidded out of his room and ran down the hall towards the monitor room. He noticed the fallen ditto and other heroes gathered around through the frame of the door. He rushed in during someone yelling. It sounded like Kendra, but he wasn't sure. "... No, Question, you obviously do have a superpower. Your power is that every time you open your mouth, everyone in the room gets the powerful urge to throttle you..." Oh boy. Having missed the Question's analysis of the situation, Beck stooped down beside Ditto briefly, before realizing that the others would have checked vitals before he got there. Standing back up, he looked around at the faces that were actually gathered around; Kendra was there, as well as the Question, Armory, Miss Mountain... All new. Their real names weren't coming to him. Didn't matter right now. Nothing -or anybody- would have knocked Killian out from there, so something must have happened to one of his clones. Could that happen? He knew Killian felt their pain, but Beck had never seen him knocked unconscious from it... "Maybe they all got sick of being thwarted by the Flash and are trying to, err, 'make a living', in a different city," Kendra suggested. Thwarted by the Flash? Were his enemies attacking Star City now? "If something's going down, we need to get out there now. And, you two. Cassandra, Question. Play nice."

Gabe tried his very best not to swagger into his room. He'd already failed to keep his smile from looking like a Joker impersonation. Combine that with a stroll, and his teammates would think that something had happened to him, that he was sick, that he'd gone off the edge. If there was something Gabe Harlan didn't do, it was swagger, especially after that kerfuffle with Granny; that old lady sure had a way of draining her prisoner's energy... by the end of it they're left looking like Sleeping Beauty. Gabe laughed, then gasped in shock. What was happening to him? First he's strutting, then he's laughing at his own terrible jokes? If there was one thing Gabe knew, it was that Sleeping Beauty was no joke. One of Granny's best operatives, she'd given him and Fenrir more trouble than most -- that woman went to great lengths to please her master. Gabe shuddered. He was thankful to find focus replacing his too-good-humour. He put his costume on, every part but the helmet, and checked his wristpad, an upgrade courtesy of Jin. Opening the program he'd installed to it, he checked his readings. BLOOD PRESSURE 120/80 BODY TEMPERATURE 122ยบ F HEARTRATE 72 BPM RESPIRATORY RATE 20 BPM RADIOACTIVITY 0 Bq Satisfied that he was safe to go out into the field, Gabe ran to the monitor room, carrying his helmet. Frowning as he passed an unconscious Ditto, he entered the monitor room. He immediately felt the tension in the room, and the frown deepened. Ditto's reason for taking a nap, he could easily understand; assuming that this particular Ditto was Killian, then the only possible explanation would be that something had happened to one of his clones. That, or he got lost and thought the wall was the way into the monitor room. However, the tension was less easy for Gabe to wrap his head around. What could the tension possibly be about? Charles, Cassandra, Tea, that new girl, Miss Mountain, and Beck were in the room, and, defying all laws of physics, Gabe's frown deepened even further. He probably looked ridiculous. But he didn't care; his concern was elsewhere -- where was Jin? She should be here by now. "If something's going down, we need to get out there now. And, you two. Cassandra, Question. Play nice," said Beck, and Gabe suddenly understood where the tension was coming from. Great. The team know-it-all versus the team scryer. Wouldn't that be a battle to behold? "Sorry I'm late," he said, breaking the silence, "But as Beck said, we should probably go. The guys that aren't here yet will catch up." He turned to walk out of the monitor room, speaking over his shoulder. "Beck, could you fill me in while we make our way to wherever we're going?" Beck nodded. "You got it, boss." Gabe shook his head inwardly. That was professional. What a great example for the only senior member in the room to lead. Gabe laughed. Yeah, he needed to work on his leadership skills.

Tea sighed as Cassandra (Okay, that's too long. I'm calling her Cassie. If she'll let me) and Mouth started arguing. Luckily the others, she assumed, had begun to arrive. While she had yet to meet any of them, one of them, identified by one man as Beck, had identified that same man as Boss. That and his demeanor clearly put him in charge. Standing up, she stepped over to Cassie and placed her hand on her shoulder "Hey, ignore him. As sad as it is, his brain is useful for mission. Off mission, we can always kick his ass" she said, offering a smile and chuckle, before rezzing her armor "I'm ready when you guys are"...

Dana clicked a button on her suit's belt and the suit responded by forming a semi-helmet on her head, spurring a crimson visor over her eyes. Dana's uneasiness faded away as she began to feel in control; her vision was red as a result of the technology that covered her peripherals. The visor scanned the area for objects subject to her geokinetic powers. "I was born ready," Miss Mountain said in response to Tea with an obvious joking tone, but she did mean it. She was as ready as ever, actually. She couldn't wait to get back in touch with "the good ol' earth". The terrain that she knew and loved. She'd only been separated from the ground for a mere half hour, but just thirty minutes seemed like a whole day to Dana. On most occasions when she'd been separated from contact with the ground for more than only two hours, she cuddles with the earth and kisses the ground immediately when her feet are back on the ground. Dana felt her stomach growling and immediately scurried to the refrigerator where she subsequently wolfed down a beef sandwich that she had stored in there. With her huge appetite and the fact that they were going on a mission where she would end up using her powers she had to eat. She looked like a tiger on its prey as she finished the sandwich in a matter of twenty seconds before walking back over to the team.

Kendra tried to make herself relax when Beck asked her and the Question to play nice, but it was only when Tea spoke up, placing a hand on her shoulder, that Kendra felt her anger start to melt away. Keep calm, Kendra, she thought to herself. You're better than this. She nodded to Tea slowly, letting out a small sigh. "Alright," she said. "Yeah, you're right." She then glanced at the other team members around her. "Unfortunately, I'm not quite ready." She gestured to her clothing, which was her old costume back from her Foresight days. "I need to go get my armour and spear. You guys go ahead. I'll try and catch up." She then turned and started to head to her room, where her gear was.

Bolt wandered around the headquarters with wide eyes, marveling at the size of the place. "My God, this place is big for a base. I wonder if they have any video games or pinball. Damn this place is so cool!" he said to himself as he walked through the building. He had recently been introduced to the team by Static Shock who had a thing with lightning powers just like Nikolai had as well. But Nikolai was more than just a lightning powered superhero, he was a hero with a sense of humor, many called him the Lightning Bolt with a big mouth and he liked the nickname. "I wonder if I could suck out all of the base's electricity, probably not but it would be cool if I could" he again said to himself. Only then heard the alarms going off and he guessed that it was time for a mission, this excited him and he quickened his pace as he searched for the rest of the team. He eventually came across some of the other members of the Young Justice team and he waved at them. "Hi, the name's Bolt and I was invited here by Static and I hope to be an asset to the team. It seems like there's a mission, right?" he said to them with indicating the alarms.

Killian had been floored. His duplicate's death in downtown Star City at the hands of Girder got the best of him and he was out cold for at least five or six minutes. The team managed to get past their petty arguments and teleported into the field soon after Hellfire stepped in to take point with Frostbite also seemingly deputized. With less chaos in the headquarters one of the duplicate Dittos managed to find the original laying in the hall leading to the monitor room. He took a mental note that the telepathic link between the duplicates is broken when this occured, and then sat Killian up against the wall and tried to snap his maker out of this unconscious state. After another moment or two the original Carggite came to and snapped back into place realizing what must be going on. Starbolt approached the two Dittos. "Sorry, but I need your health and exp..." the floored original Ditto said to his duplicate absorbing him for a bit of an energy boost. "The others went ahead, Tori. We need to teleport downtown and FAST!" Seconds later... The area of downtown Star City where the two banks were robbed looked like a warzone. At least four cars were over turned, the team spread thin against the four Rogues, civilians still in harms way, and the body of a Ditto in civilian clothes lied dead. The multiple man and Tamaranian hit the scene and Ditto created at least a dozen duplicates to get the civilians out of the danger zone. As his duplicates did their thing he took the scene into his head and came up with a battle strategy. "Frostbite, contain Girder! Hellfire, do something about Cold's new arm! Everyone else combine your efforts to put out the fires of Heatwave and knock the Top off balance!" the alien leader exclaimed as the super fast and spinning Rogue threw cars in his wake. ~KL~
