And it keeps repeating over and over again. He's stuck in a cycle of Anxiety and Apathy. The few times he's lucid he a pretty fun person to be with. He loves to tell stories and loves to play music, but these skills have been hidden to his worries of being mocked for them. History: Conrad's mother walked out of the relationship with his father after his birth. His father told Conrad she left because she was sick and couldn't care for Conrad in a way that was healthy, Conrad always took that excuse as a lie, and he always felt like she left because he wasn't worth her time. Even from a young time he was muddled by self-doubt and anxiety. But for a time it was pushed back to be trying act like a normal child and had an easier life from stress even with the missing mother figure in his life. He taught himself how to play the flute and violin. He had to teach himself since him and his father always had money issues and his father could only afford him the instruments but never a tutor. He was talented in the fields of music. During high school he took up writing as a hobby, he was decent at it. He was also decent at school. He could never make friends for long since they all found him annoying and needy. But he always acts like it was no big deal, but it was, his father could see that. His late high school years were harder due to the random hours he stayed awake and fell asleep at. His anxiety started to show up more often, as he often had mini panic attacks during tests and finals, he feared he would be mocked whenever he panicked so he hid himself away from the rest of the class more and more. He eventually just became part of the scenery in the classes he was in. He graduated High school with modest grades and no achievements. He wanted to go to college but due to his family less than ideal income he had to take a job to pay for his entry. He got a job at the library as a secretary and occasional cleaner. It took him four years working there to pay for his school books and his entry. It would've taken him two years to get the money, but he took many days off and used some of his money for anxiety medication and therapy. It helped for the other two years. But when he enters College he decided to stop using meds and stopped going to therapy. Believing he was cured of his anxiety. He will start school in the next semester for now he's making extra money for other things. he hopes his college days will be better than his High school days. He isn't someone you'd call for tactical advice, or any advice for that matter. Seo also tends to be very curious and enjoys a good talk with someone if he gets to learn more about them. He is also somewhat bold, and can act like how he does around friends, when he is around strangers. He does, however, tone himself down sometimes if he feels the people around him aren't feeling it. History: Seo was born and raised a happy child. His father was a pharmacist and his mother a teacher, together they lived pretty well and he was living in a middle-class family. His father loved sports, and would often have Seo play them with him when not at school. Seo was ok with this, he was an active kid. He enjoyed most of the sports his father introduced him too, but his favorites were boxing and basketball. Now in middle school he would never really have the chance to box much, due to the lack of other kids his age and weight who were interested, so he was usually found in the BBall court. He was decent at it, but didn't stick out much, others on his team were usually the ones making most of the points. As he entered high school, he was able to switch it up more. He was quite lucky to go to a high school that had a boxing team, even if they weren't all that spectacular. He was one of the top three on his team, and usually was competing for 2nd place. It was during this time in high school that he figured out what he wanted to do with his life, he wanted to coach. He found great joy in helping others improve their athletic abilities, as well as their academic ones. He decided to follow in his moms footsteps, but instead he wanted to teach at the college level. Name: Touko Shiragami Age: 19 Gender: Female Arcana: Strength School: New Light University Occupation: Part timer at a department store, and also, a manga artist, though her work isn't serialized. Weapon: Silver Rapier Personality: Touko is quirky, energetic and a bit silly at times too. She hates gloomy moods and likes to lighten them up however she can, even if it means to ridicule herself. Still, she is very secretive and hates being asked about the past. She tries to always have a smile on her face and tries her best to sympathize with others, unfortunately, though, she is also dense as the sea itself and fails to read the mood or take up hints. Several people have tried to approach her with ulterior motives only to be sent back home when they realize Touko is oblivious to anything romantic and yet, she claims to be an expert in romance. Don't ever tell her you have a crush on someone, or she'll try and act as the cupid over your relationship, and often mess up too. She is also a manga artist, and a rather prideful one at that. While her art is good and she isn't the kind of arrogant person to shove her art up your face for you to praise it, she will still take it rather bad if you ever insult her work, being the sole thing she can be sensitive about. While drawing, she gets immersed so much into her work it is nigh impossible to get her to pay attention to you, unless you use her pen name and internet nickname Shiro Tokami. She also talks in Kasai-ben, though if you point it out, she'll become flustered and try to correct her accent however she can, no matter how hard it is. History: Born in Kobe, Touko sports a heavy Kansai accent that is rather common where she comes from. Her father is a succesful businessman with several companies to his name, despite looking like the boss of a Yakuza group, while her mother is the complete opposite, a stay-in housewife that seems so calm and reserved it is hard to imagine her ever marrying a man like her father. Touko's father is a perfectionist, and since Touko was young, several disciplines were drilled into her head. It was overwhelming, to say the least, but she coped with it for the most part of her life, given that her life was never normal. It was stressful, to say the least, and when she entered middle shool, she just had to do something about it. Let some stress out. A single answer came to her. The eight grader syndrome, or Chuunibyo. All throughout her middle school, she pretended to be a vampire. It was silly, her circle of friends was reduced to just a few people but, to be honest? She was happy. Definitely so. Even if her father tried to make her some kind of perfect robot, her way of trying to escape reality through her vampire games was the happiest time she ever had, but of course, she wouldn't be able to hold up her chuunibyo persona for too long. After middle school and into high school she had a fight with her father. A big fight. After said fight, Touko left her house and started living alone. She went to high school, graduated and now is on towards college, about to study architecture. Appearance: (Ignore the Pokemon stuff plz.) Leo is a tall young man, standing at 6'0". He is physically fit and quite strong, with a toned athletic physique that he is quite proud of. Due to living in a tropical place most of his life, and because he often goes outdoors, his skin is lightly tanned. His face is round, free of blemishes, and rather boyish. Marked by large expressive blue eyes, a small nose, and a usually smiling mouth. These features give him a rather youthful appearance. He has short, close cropped black hair, with messy bangs that cover his forehead, and go to his eyebrows. A strand of hair on top of his head always stands up, no matter how much he tries to comb it down. Except for the top of his head, and eyebrows, the rest of his upper body is void of any hair. For clothing, Leo generally wears what is comfortable. Usually, whatever he pulls out of his closet that day. It usually includes a pair of jeans or cargo shorts, and sneakers or sandals on his feet. He can often be found without a shirt. This is because he was rather scrawny when he was younger, so now that he's put on a little muscle, he likes to show off the results. When he must wear a shirt, it will usually be a skintight tank top, or something low cut/not buttoned/zipped up all the way, and without a shirt underneath. He's not comfortable wearing cloaks or heavy clothing that covers him up too much. He will dress up for formal occasions and colder days when he needs to, but he usually takes it right off when he's able. He wears a pair of aviator goggles on top of his head. He doesn't use them, he just thinks they look cool. His favorite outfit is a red, form fitting tank top, with black stripes on the sides, and a zipper down the front on the top, and a pair of jeans held up by a belt on the bottom. His sneakers are red and black, and have wheels in the soles. The wheels can pop in and out when Leo puts weight on his heels, allowing them to function like roller skates. He carries his things in a simple pink backpack. Personality: Leo is a bright, cheerful person, with an optimistic view on life. He can often be found with a smile on his face, even when things look bleak. As such, he often makes jokes, and does silly things when the situation is tense to lift people's spirits, but his attempts to make people laugh sometimes backfire. He believes there is some good in everyone, and for that, he is very trusting of others. A genuine nice guy, he is always willing to help someone in need. Often putting the needs of others ahead of his own. Sometimes though, he can be too nice, to the point of gullibility, and people often take advantage of him for it. Leo is very outgoing and social. He likes meeting new people, and making new friends. He is not afraid to strike up a conversation with a random stranger. Being used to having to watch over his little sisters, he's become accustomed to taking care of people. He is loyal, empathetic, and very protective of those he cares about, making him a good friend to have. Leo is very energetic. So much so, that it is very difficult for him to sit still and concentrate on one thing for long periods of time. Because of this, he likes to actually do stuff, instead of sitting there reading about it. While he is able to think quick on his feet during intense situations. he often acts impulsively, and jumps to conclusions without thinking first. Unlike a lot of guys he's known, Leo is the type of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. His feelings are there for everyone to see, and he's pretty easy to read. For example he cries openly during the endings of sad movies, and is affectionate towards close friends. Due to his cheerful nature, it is usually difficult to anger him. Leo is not perfect, and is prone to having bad days just like everyone else. When he gets overwhelmed, he has really bad angry outbursts where he just lashes out at the most appropriate target. That said, Leo isn't one to hold grudges for very long, and is very quick to forgive people. Leo has an affinity for cute things, and is not ashamed about it at all. One of his favorite things at the moment, is the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which he watches regularly with his youngest sister. He is an unabashed Brony, he has a collection of merchandise from the show, and often makes references to it in everyday conversation. He's aware how silly it might look for someone his age to be liking a show aimed at little girls, and generally he has a good sense of humor about the whole thing. (However, he does get defensive if someone makes fun of him for it.) He's had bad experiences with bullies as a kid, and he fears having to experience that again. He likes fantasy and fairy tales, and he developed most of his idealistic beliefs from them. He also likes other things some would consider childish as well. He can cook well, due to having to make dinner for the family when his mom was working. He particularly enjoys making (and eating) desserts, though he keeps it in moderation. History: Leo was born in Miami, Florida. He was the oldest of three siblings, and the only male among the three. His parents' relationship became strained after his father, Leroy, lost his job shortly after the youngest daughter was born, and the family started experiencing financial troubles. It was not helped by Leroy turning to Wine to drown his sorrows, which worried the rest of the family. Leroy and his wife, Luisa, often argued loudly during the night. While things never escalated to physical violence, but the yelling still made the three kids uncomfortable. Despite the drama, Leo tried to put on a brave face, and hoped things would work out in the end. Eventually, Luisa got a promotion at her job that made up for the loss of income, but by then, the damage was done, and Leroy filed for divorce. Leo currently lives with his mom, and his younger sisters Lilly and Lucy. He is much closer to his mother than with his father. They were not wealthy, but they weren't poor either. Being a single parent, Luisa often had to work long hours, leaving Leo responsible for looking after his sisters, and taking care of household things while she worked. Unlike a lot of other boys though, Leo didn't really mind this, and actually enjoyed it. As a result of this, he became accustomed to taking care of people. He also learned a lot of domestic skills, and became very good at cooking. He was a rather scrawny child, and he was often picked on by bullies who thought he was weaker than them. It did not help that he was a sensitive kid, and he had a taste for things that are usually considered girly by others. He would come home with bruises on a regular basis. His father did not help matters by suggesting that living in a house full of girls was turning him into one. While all the bullying upset him, he kept up a cheerful demeanor in front of others, not wanting to burden them with his problems. He believed that if he thinks positively, things would get better. Around the time Leo entered puberty, things started to change. His mother announced that her office was transferring her to a place called New light and that the family would be moving there. His situation began to improve when he started High School. Deciding that he no longer wanted to be a wimp, and a constant bullying victim. He started working out and getting into sports, which resulted in him putting on a little muscle, and making new friends. Due to his social personality, he quickly became quite popular on campus, particularly with other girls. He also maintained good grades. Life was actually starting to look up. Despite how well things were going, he didn't let it get to his head. He still remained the same sensitive kid he always was. Now that he's a senior, the time has come to start thinking about his future. Leo is not exactly sure what he wants to do with the rest of his life yet. His eyes are a piercing green with pronounced crow's feet which come from smiling. As well as a few small scars including a particularly prominent one that leaves a bald spot halfway through his left eyebrow, so it looks like he has the normal one, then two slightly smaller ones. He's reasonably well built and a bit tanned from working a lot of labor-intensive jobs with small and large scars crossing his arms and hands. Personality: Friendly to everyone he meets, even total strangers, willing to risk himself to help those in need. He's very harsh on himself and his own shortcomings, seeking to excel at everything he does, as such he tends to overwork himself. Takashi is usually a very laid back person, willing to take whatever blows life gives him in stride, and keeps moving. He doesn't let much get under his skin and has an abundance of patience. She is extremely talented in terms of academics and the arts, and she also has quite a warm and friendly demeanour. She is usually polite, and courteous; and is usually seen smiling while doing something or other. However, she is actually suffering under a heavy case of ennui (look it up if you don’t know what that is) almost to the point of nihilism. The reason being that she is in a position in which she could have whatever she wanted, and she has gotten pretty much everything she used to want. Life has lost much of its value for her, and she no longer sees the point in it. History: Akiko was born into a wealthy family that owns a large number of businesses, but they do not currently have anything in the area that they live. They had moved to the area 5 years previously to establish something in the area, but not long afterwards Akiko’s father committed suicide. Whatever they happened to be working on at the time was stopped, and Akiko’s mother and her father’s business partners took over the company. However, unexpectedly, Akiko appeared strangely unaffected by her father’s death. She was more melancholy for a period of time afterwards, but that was all. Her mother thought it was strange, but didn’t press the matter any further. Akiko’s father committed suicide with a golden revolver passed down through the family for an unknown reason. In his will, Akiko inherited the gun, along with an odd letter. To this day, she has never told anyone what the note said. Weapon: This Book Appearance: Personality: At first glance, Aiko appears as a shy, quiet and hard to approach girl. Once you're past first glance, this doesn't change. She is slow at opening up to people, and even slower to trust them. This is because she has a fear of being judged by others. Even when she finaly opens up, she doesn't change much. She's still the same timid girl, only now she trusts you, and will be there to help, if she can. She spends more time with her books than with others. History: Most of Aiko's life has been uneventful. She comes from a rather wealthy family, so she was free to do a lot of things most others wouldn't be able to. However, her fathers work also forced them to move to a lot of different countries. During this time, Aiko learned to speak several languages, but she also became more secluded, spending more and more time on her own, reading, rather than meeting people. This was because she knew that they'd probably move soon, so meeting new people and finding new friends, as she would loose them anyways. So she didn't develop strong social skills. However, she always did well at her new schools, scoring the highest on her tests. Two years ago, her family moved to New Light, a place she really started liking, so when her parents had to move again a year later, she chose to stay. A decision that was met with mixed reactions from her parrents, who were pretty overprotective, but at the same time, they wanted her to not only learn to live on her own, but also to find people to rely on. He's socially awkward, never feeling to be a part of anything, the boy stays in the corner in classroom, though for that reason he managed to get some pretty high grades. While in the kendo club he reveals part of his true colors, having a much more challenging and violent side of him. Shiro's head is something twisted, he looks at the world as a putrid garden, however he acknowledges there are some flowers worth of being saved and those flowers are what makes him put his own head on the line. Violent, silent, cold, calculating, deadly, all those words could describe him, but distant, shy and caring could do it as well. History: Not much about this odd boy is known. What is known however is that his relationsip with his father was complicated and he was taken away from his Family after the death of his mom and sister, leaving his father alone, who apparently was the one behind everything. Ever since that incident which the boy refuses to talk about with anyone, he has become more and more reclusive and would become violent towards any sort of bully who could show up, he calls that as a revenge for everyone who they had hurt and bullied before. These aggressions took him to the principal’s office every now and then. Nowadays he live alone at a house in the middle of the city, a distant relative of his pays for his expenses and he Works as a translator for some extra cash, he’s also part of the school’s kendo club to release some of his rage. Her primary motivation in life is to do right by her family and friends. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, but she prefers not to be pushy about it outside of a truly serious situation. She can come across as a cold and reserved person, as she tends to maintain a polite and formal tone with people, but she rarely means ill and will try to be friendly with those that speak to her. As part of a group, she tends to take on as much responsibility as she can, assuming she isn’t stepping on anyone’s toes. History: Born the second child in a family of five children, Lucrecia was initially raised in a household of mild prosperity. Her dad’s job as an engineer kept the family living comfortably, and Lucrecia wanted for nothing for 13 years of her life. However, Lucrecia’s father lost his job one day, and never fully recovered his confidence, becoming something of a broken man. The family’s fortunes dwindled, and the lot of them were soon forced to live in a shoddy apartment. Her mom tired of the situation, and left her dad, eventually finding a successful career of her own to pursue. Lucrecia and her siblings ended up in between two worlds, as they lived with their affluent mother one week and their povertous father the next. No matter where they went, however, neither parent was really there for them at that point. Mom was busy working, and dad was busy feeling sorry for himself. There was a gap to fill in the family, and Lucrecia eventually took it upon herself to fill that gap. She essentially became the mother of the family, keeping house and looking after her siblings, both older and younger, while also living the life of a student. She was never the most outgoing of people due to her busy schedule, but she wasn’t unhappy. She was almost happy to feel that she was able to keep everything flowing smoothly in their household. Amazingly enough, Lucrecia was able to perform well enough to earn a scholarship while still up-keeping her role in her family. She took the opportunity and entered New Light University, though sometimes she wonders just what she really wants to do with herself and her higher education. Nevertheless, she continues with her studies, focusing on political science which she feels a certain affinity towards.
