The destruction of her own shikigamis sure came as a surprise for Miria. The only that could determine whether they were shikigamis or not was obviously another Onmyouji. The imminent sense of danger that fell upon her was about to make her run, but no, it was obviously not the right choice. If they were an onmyouji as well, then they had shikigamis. If they had shikigamis, then probably, one was already tailing her. Miria hurried to an alley where no one could see her. "Tch. Amateur, thinking she can go against Miria-sama, Genius Onmyouji. Sacred Gear!" A black pouch appeared in her waist, opposite to the one she was already carrying.
She hurried out of the alley and saw the two wolves approaching her. She was not going to run, that was what she had decided, so she quickly took two black talismans into her hands. "Servants of water, heed my call! Order!" Miria says, slamming her two talismans into the ground and creating a water barrier there. For a strong shikigami, she'd need more inchantations than that, and those wolves behind her wouldn't let her concentrate. She turned around and ran away, while she took one of the black talismans and one of the human looking white ones in her other pouch. "Ashes we are and ashes we become, servant of fire, take shape before your master. I beseech you, servant of fire, be reborn from the ashes. Order!" She stopped as the black talisman ignited in fire and lit the human looking one. Before long, the ashes fell to the ground and she put her hands together. "Shiki of fire, come, for I have given you an offering. Help me burn my enemies to pieces. Ashes we are and ashes we become..." She continued on reciting like that, and the ashes gaining a red shine to them. Before long, she smiled at her enemy, or their shikigamis, at the very least. "I hope you are aware of the principle of the Mutual Generation. Order!" She separated her hands and then brought them together in a clap. Soon, her shikigami materialized into a big, raging tornado of fire, with a barely visible face.
The two wolves arrived to where she was, growling and barking. "Oh? I see that you truly are skilled. Such a high level shikigami in such a short time, you have to be a prodigy to accomplish that. Still, talent will not hinder experience AND talent." One of the wolves said, with the voice of a woman, probably the owner of the shikigami. Miria remained on guard. The wolves threw themselves at the fire shikigami, fangs first. "Of course I know the principle, brat. Wood feeds fire, fire dries earth, earth refines metal, etc, etc, etc... Let me show you what a real battle is like." The voice sounded again from the wolve, as it perched itself on Miria's fire shikigami. It seemed to be burning but no major damage.
"What?! Are you crazy!? Your shikigamis won't last like that!" Miria's fire shikigami was about to take the wolf into its hands and set it apart, when the other one tackled it head first, making it fall down. Miria seemed surprised, seeing her shikigami falling so easily. The wolves started biting on it and ravaging it salvagely, the fire started dying down and Miria felt that the spirit was jsut about to leave the talisman. She put her hands together, while cursing whoever this woman was. "Order!" The fire shikigami collapsed in on itself and returned to the talisman. One of the wolves moved back in time, though, before a bursting geyser of flames came out of the talisman, effectively making the other one disappear.
"Haha! As I thought, you are good! No one has ever gotten the opportunity to banish one of my wolves, you are the first one. Still, you see now? Even if that shikigami was powerful, because of the shikigamis that you used earlier and your fatigue, you can barely do anything good with such a nice shiki. I've had the upper hand since the beginning." The wolf said, conveying its masters will. Soon, another talisman swooped in, replacing the wolf with yet another wolf. "Now, what'll be your next move?"
