@Sini I came up with some different Pros and Cons for my nation and I just wanted to roll them past you.

Pro: United We Stand: Your people are united in cause and motivated to meet your ever-increasing standards. The skilled make gains in their respective fields while the unskilled work to bring those creations and gain a reality.

Con: Overly Ambitious: The ambitions of your nation’s leader permeate through all classes, but sometime some get a bit too zealous. Border tensions are increased as peasants believe they can take land as they wish and trade disputes are more common as merchants say they can set huge taxes on goods. Obviously this doesn’t do diplomatic wonders, but they’re just jealous of your nation’s drive to out do them.

Hmm, I could indeed go with a nomadic nation. Especially with that Infantry to Calvary ratio of 3:1. Anyway, I'll get to work on my sheet.

I'm filling out Khumer's sheet bit by bit. Trying to make it as exceedingly unpleasant as possible and fill the token brutal realm slot and sorcerer-kingdom cliche quite fully. That in mind, with myself ideally situated along that southwestern mountain-spine and the hills & flats east of it- rather than the western delta on the map-in-progress, which Cap'n wants to take, although he's presently sorting out his sheet- I should probably sort out some vagueries about how Khumer's interacted with the states of Jukku, Arman-Arhus, and Vathcras. Plus, going a bit further back, and even now with far-ranging slaver parties, Fulmen and Azraca-Terus. Among the ideas I bounced around with Cap'n was that the western delta was another Khum successor in personal union with Khumer that screwed the pooch on maintaining control, falling to slave rebellion and internal conquest from the previously subjugated Bedouin-alike tribes. Considering the somewhat migratory nature of ethnostates in the theme and time period, I can't say if the states and peoples on what I've tentatively thought as the old heartland of old Khum- particularly Jukku and that inland sea- are the same peoples who threw the Empire out, along with the neanderthal quasi-men that forged it, but either way there is undoubtedly bad blood and recent warring with Khumer regardless.

Oh, right, I forget too quickly. Vathcras is a wonky Aztecy-Maya-y realm with golden-haired butcher-kings. I get the feeling Vathcras and Khumer are either going to really like each other or be constantly trying to out-brutalize the other side in intermittent warfare between their respective petty kings and priest-lords. Possibly both.

@Sini

I want to put a claim down on the map, but I don't know if I should put it here or on the CHAR page. So for now, I'll put it here like a scrub.

Also because I'm a scrub, I don't know how to put in images >.>

ESSENTIALS
Population Density (Population - 8,000,000) - Highly populated, regionally dense; A large amount of manpower for the military and economic purposes, with social infrastructure strained more at a regional basis. Civic projects range from affordable to expensive. The nation requires a stronger agriculture to sustain itself.

Economy - Slow Growth - The economy is performing well, though there is room for improvement. There are certain limitations on the economy that are bottlenecking real growth, such as a restriction in supplies or insufficient demand, however. There is some unemployment and economic unhappiness among people in the lower income brackets. You are heavily dependent on trade.

Urbanisation - Heavily: Many towns and cities are present in your nation.

Technology - Modernizing: The industrial infrastructure is in the process of improvement, and this is a teething process. But the economy is seeing increased activity because of this investment. New technologies are becoming domestically available. However, there is a degree of dependence on imports, including in terms of the expertise to modernize the economy. Metallurgy is on par, iron lies within your capabilities.

Domestic Political Stability - Ethnic violence

GEOGRAPHY
Largely consists of plains, desert, with tropical areas

RESOURCES
Mineral Deposits - Extensive deposits of metals and minerals.

Valuable Mineral Deposits - Trace deposits of rare earth metals, predominately silver.

Unique Materials - Wine (as in, exquisite wine), textiles

Agriculture - crops and small livestock based, food surplus slowly shrinking

MILITARY
Military Focus - Decent army and navy, good infantry and cavalry ratio (6:1)

Military Recruitment - Volunteer Force Military, additional levies in wartime

Reliability - Levies are of decent quality, generals are competitive and play at politics

Military Size - Large, relative to population: requires considerable upkeep, harder to equip/supply quickly, they put a strain on your food production and economy; seasonal levies

Military Technology - Rapid Modernization, your nation does not lag behind the rest of the world, and even sets the standard on some levels.

Military Training and Morale - Decently Trained; High Morale, levies are of good quality with poor morale

Military Leadership - Incompetent; Rose to their positions through inheritance and election; loyal to themselves

Military Reputation - Popular domestically; considered large and dangerous by foreigners

Siege Equipment - Obsolete, you prefer to besiege enemies and starve them into submission

Strengths & weaknesses
Pro: Monolithic: Your nation is a monolith. It stands astride the world like a colossus. Or at the least that is the impression it conveys to others and works to cultivate. An intimidating nation might just avoid conflicts it would rather avoid.

Con: Gluttonous Pigs: Your people just can’t keep themselves from eating more than their share. Actually, more than they’re, their neighbour, and the merchant across the streets share too now that we think about it.

There we go, got a little Historical Events section in there with all the stuff between @Cyclone and I's nations. Will probably begin adding some more stuff in.

Also looks like I can't be the Commonwealth anymore. :(.

Oh yeah, hey @Terminal, how goes the Bestiary-type thing, if you don't mind me asking?

Hehe, I say Commonwealth but mine's really more of a Monarchy as well, at the end of the day. Sounds cool.

I just realized- I say in my sheet that I'm importing wood: anyone wanna be the other end of that?

I wanted to be a commonwealth as well... dammit. I'll just have to an empire then.

Also,@OneEyedChurro, my nation doesn't have the most prestigious timber, but it managed to make a damn fine fleet so it must be something worth while. If you're willing to trade a good amount of food or metal, then we could start a trade agreement.
There's also some fine pearls and dyes on the market too~

turns out these commonwealths would likely be pretty...common.

yeah that sucked, I've got nothing better though. and I am physically incapable from delivering a punchline.

clock you're a fleet-strong nation too? That's too many co-oincidences, You're not also from Hong Kong are you?I'm beginning to worry that you're my evil twin.

This actually might be something we wanna roleplay out once we get going. Might be interesting.

And don't feel the need to switch from a Commonwealth to something else- I had just gotten used to calling Arman-Arhus "the Commonwealth" and I just won't be able to do that anymore, no biggie.

You can be- I was just saying I won't be referring to Arman-Arhus as "the Commonwealth" anymore since now there's more than one "the Commonwealth"'s. Not saying you can't be a Commonwealth if you want to.
