Camille Mahroug - Reporting Back

Pain killers were a godsend in this particular situation as the concussions she had received wouldn't just heal up with just band aids. She inhaled deeply, knowing that she had to move fast before that thing would come back and haunt her. She stood up, taking a second to stabilize herself, after all her body was pretty sore from all the fighting. She walked toward the exit, grabbing one of the obligatory medkits hanging on the wall. As she walked out, she opened the kit in order to extract a small syringe. She directly injected it in her neck, the effects would follow almost instantly. Her stamina would be restored for the most part and her many bruises became lighter in appearance. She then took one of the large bandages and wrap it around her left arm, that arm covered in small burns from Light's sudden chemical attack. But that would be after disinfecting the wounds with a vial of alcohol. The burning sensation made her squeak in pain, but in the end it was more than worth it.

As she patched herself up, she had already walked a good distance, closing multiple random doors behind her so that Light wouldn't find her specific path on her first go. The biggest threats attacking the underground were handled with Cedric being forced back and Light having been trapped for a set amount of time. Camille had done her job right. There were police force, but they could be dealt with by the mutants who had the environmental advantage on them. Her posture was straight again, as it was more crippled and irregular when she wasn't patched up. It didn't take long for her to join her mother at the boss's quarters. As she opened the door leading to it, she couldn't help but notice two men fighting with some strange creature who had assaulted one of the men. She recognized Isaac almost immediately since they were colleagues, but it took her a few extra efforts to remember the second man.

"The leader meta and Light have been dealt with by yours truly~... But what the heck is he doing here?"

She glared at an apparently submissive Sebastian, the man who was once their little prisoner but had the audacity to leave. She found it stupid and more or less arrogant to come back after his little stunt.

"Ugh never mind, I'll kill him plus tard. Jaden can go kill those on the building~ So what's the plan now mama?!"

"Great... Stuck in a Vaccuum. That girl is soo lucky I can't touch her." Light said in great annoyance as she rattled around inside the cleaning device. It took some time before the device turned cartoony, allowing her to struggle a bit better until she finally busted out of it. She found herself in a sealed off room, but now that she could stand things weren't as bad.

"Oh well. Cedric got an evac. Maybe next time there wont be civvies present. Sometimes morality can be annoying." Light said ot herself, pulling out a bundle of TnT and blowing up the container she was in, recompiling herself from the pile of ash that was left from being at ground zero.

Having time to thoroughly look around, Light saw that there were various people, most of who were awoken by the huge explosion, strapped inside some weird machines. Not all of them were alive, but the ones that were, Light freed. Much to some of their annoyance, Light pointed the way out, grabbing and setting up a nearby latter out of the supply closet.

"I don't know what you were promised to be test subjects for whatever experiments Isabella was doing, but it isn't going to end well. They'll just clone you if they succeed then murder ya. The corpses along the way out should be evidence enough." Light said to the group of experiment prisoners, explaining how they should escape so they didn't get shot before she went looking for the french girl.

Despite her speed, the clone was caught by the tendrils. Hissing softly, she was pulled towards Jaden. She even briefly considered chopping her own arm off - it was just a physical manifestation so it would grow back in time anyways. As it stood, however, she didn't need to engage in self-destruction as he kicked her away. Rolling to a stop, she was on her feet within seconds. "It's mistress, Jaden McFadden." The clone stated clearly, leaping up in a quick dash that would have been followed by a devastating blow from her sword.

Instead, the sound of a helicopter drew close and she chose to roll away from Jaden. "The next time you see her, you better hope that you leave her untouched. I will have no choice but to split you from end to end if you proceed to harm her." Giving him a quick nod, the clone sheathed her blade and dragged her hood up. As she spun, she dipped down into a crouch before suddenly exploding into a million dancing slivers of light. They seemed to float for a second before gracefully floating down to the ground where they evaporated.

Ruby

Ruby was lying, waiting like a cat ready to pounce on the unfortunate mouse which had been lured out by the scent of cheese. She picked up on Alto's beacon almost as soon as it was placed down by her so-called rescuer. She lay in bed for a few minutes, waiting, knowing that Harper would arrive within a minute or two. And so he did, jaunting into her room and subsequently, her trap.

Ruby laid for a few extra seconds, pretending to be still asleep. Surprise was her friend here and once he turned to leave, she would have the perfect opportunity. Just as she heard the door open, her hand grasped the small device she had engineered a few nights beforehand. Spinning with a surprising speed for a measly technopath, she levelled the device at him and slammed her fingers against the side buttons. It spat two hissing cables which imbedded themselves in his skin and delivered an instant electric shock.

Getting to her feet, she retracted the two cables and pocketed the device before creeping closer to Harper's shuddering body. It was hard to tell but she was very certain that he was out cold. "I'm sorry, Harper, I never wanted this... They forced my hand." She whispered, her hands shakily turning him over - Harper was a tough nut and he could very well be awake. "Try not to get yourself killed." Ruby whispered once again as she slipped a small phone into his pocket.

Spectrum was curious to see how this mission would go especially since he was working with the mysterious Owlman. Charles didn't know too much about the hero, but he wasn't sure if the hero's communications skills was not going to possibly jeopardize the whole mission. When he saw the hero indicate for them to go into the building, Spectrum followed him in and looked around to see what they were getting into.

His rainbow aura illuminated whatever was inside in case it was in any darkness and he hoped that his powers didn't get them busted by any guards of the corporation.

The Owlman laid his makeshift shield on the ground once they got inside, noting the scorch marks and melted crators. The run in here hadn't been unnoticed. Then the room was bathed in rainbow light, casting everything in a strange pallet. The dark room was suddely like something out of The Masque of the Red Death, but it was necessary because it had been black when they'd bashed open the doors. The police must have already cut the power in anticipation of a siege, and the buildings brutalist sensibilities didn't allow much in the way of windows.

The reception area wasn't very homey. Stark walls with benches set intermittently along them. A circular desk standing at the center of the room, deserted. Behind that, stairs leading up to an elevated platform overlooking the room where you could take the elevators up further. Since the walls were bare down hear save for some bathrooms the emergency stairs must be up there.

"You hear anyone?" one of the black suited SWAT officers said, striding up behind him. The Owlman turner and was thankful that five of the men had chosen to follow them in. He shook his head no. He didn't hear anything alive in the room. The man nooded, "Right, lets get somewhere more defensible before anything else."

The Owlman lead the way upstairs, ears open to give early warning of any trouble waiting for them.

Jaden

Jaden gave a small clap of applause at the constructs flashy disappearance, before turning his attention to the current battle. He could go into the base, but he felt a Meta presence enter the tower. None of Isabella monsters would be able to hold them for long, so that was where he was need.

He rushed to the building, snatching to policemen as he ran. They gave out a strangled scream before his tendrils covered them entirely, reverting them into easily consumed mush in a matter of seconds. That'll replace what I lost to Eli, and more. He thought, his inhuman mouth taking a pleased grimace as he entered the building.

The darkness didn't bother him, as he expanded his pupils to let in as much light as possible, giving him form of night-vision, which mixed with his hyper-sensitive hairs and heightend sense of smell, via reshaping of his nasal structure, he followed the scent trail they laid down uo the stairs, but he did so silently, spilliting into 6 lizard-like creatures, around the size of a person, that scaled the walls like geckos, quickly finding the invasive group by the shine of one particularly conspicuous hero.

The main body sent orders to each of his 5 counter-parts, and they each went after the policemen stealthily, moving to be right above the group. Once in position, they would shoot a barbed tendril down fri, the sealing, aim for their heads or hearts. If they were not defected in anyway, they would hit, and the one hit would be reeled back into the darkness with lightning speed and dragged away, their screams echoing through the building's interior

Bad Dog!

The Morton family were enjoying a beautiful day in the park. Dad was flipping burgers on the portable grill he had brought from home. Mom was laying out various goodies on a blanket, including a cake to celebrate dads promotion. Billy and Suzie were playing tag not far off, laughing and tumbling over the grass whenever one of them caught the other. Birds whistled sweetly in the nearby trees and a squirrell bolted across the grass with a nut in it's mouth, scurrying up a tree to secure it's prize. The sun beat down overhead but was counteracted by a gentle breeze, setting a nice temperature. It was altogether a perfect day.

When the food was almost ready, mom shouted for the kids to join them and they came running.

They weren't the only ones.

Bounding out of the trees, causing a number of birds to scatter in surprise, came a vicious looking beast. All muscles and teeth and heading straight for the Mortons. Mom was quick to scoop up the kids and get them out of harms way but dad seemed to be frozen in fear and when the massive dog barrelled into his legs, he was sent tumbling head over heals to the ground.

The dog had no interest in the idiot in his way. All he wanted was the food. He made a beeline for the burgers on the grill, toppling the entire thing over as he leaped at it with forepaws forward. He didn't even pay any attention to the small fire he caused on the corner of the family's picnic blanket. He was too busy chomping down on the dropped burgers.

Pulling himself back to his feet and putting his hand to the back of his now aching head, Dad took a moment to get his bearings and when he spotted the dog chowing down yelled "Hey!". The dog only continued eating until he heard "Bad dog!".
He turned and informed the idiot "It's Jake"...Or at least he tried to. Only a small growl came from him. Jake turned his head to return to his burgers but as he did so, he caught sight of a rather delicious looking cake.
"Oh. No no no" said the human, waving his arms in a feeble attempt to get Jake's attention. But Jake's attention was already firmly locked on the cake. His eyes glazed over slightly as he licked his chops. He pounced upon the delicious treat as though it were prey, making short work of it. "No! No! No!" yelled dad as he dug his fingers into his hair. He made a step towards Jake but the dog quickly turned his head and let out a loud bark. So loud, in fact, that the soundwaves it caused sent the annoying human tumbling to his ass. Jake continued to fill his belly until he heard a young girl cry and his head snapped up again. He turned to see young Suzie with her back pressed against her mother as she watched their picnic be destroyed. The dog felt a twinge of emotion himself at the sight of the girl. Damn it. She ruined it.

Jake regrettably turned and ran off, his emotions conflicted by the crying girl and her brother yelling "Coooool!"

Out of earshot of the crying, Jake began to relax again. He hated crying kids. The sound hurt his heart as much as it hurt his ears...Okay, maybe not quite as much. But other than the crying, this had been a pretty good morning. He had spent most of it in the park, thoroughly enjoying the open air. He had spent almost an hour chasing ducks around the pond, hassled a couple of hipsters, gotten briefly stuck in a tyre swing and scoffed some burgers and cake. He was still hungry though. Damn it, why was he always so hungry?

He began to make his way slowly out of the park. Maybe he could raid some trash from behind a restaurant. They always threw out such good stuff. But then all hell seemed to break loose. Sirens everywhere. Gunshots. Screams. People running. Jake had no idea what was happening but ducked behind a tree just to be safe. His curiosity quickly got the better of him though and he ventured further out, eventually finding himself near the a police shootout with...What were those things? He had no idea but an even bigger question was why was there a massive hole in the ground. Curiosity only caused him to inch closer.

They were up the stairs when he heard the sounds, little pops too delicate for the ears of a human to detect. But to an owl they came through load and clear in the darkend interior. He leaned back a little, as though stretching, the special feathers of his face funneling sound from the ceiling into his two asymmetrical ear holes and allowed the sound to paint a mental map of the ceiling. There were other sounds now. Shallow breathing. Heartbeats. These sounds spread out inside and outside the creatures, painting them in sound even when the eye could not see them.

How long would they let them go? How close too the emergency stairs would they be allowed to get, before they attacked? He couldn't warn them subtly. When he made his move it would, by necessity, be loud. But that didn't mean his setup had to be. He slowed down, allowing Spectrum and the police to pass him on their way to the door, put himself behind them. The men were in tight formation, ready to form up and clear the entryway to the stairs.

It was the only thing that let him protect all of them.

The five shadows on the ceiling drew in their breath as one, and their was a sick organic sound as five things flew through the air at the cops. Not the creatures themselves, no, something else. Something long, tubular. He could see them as cleary as though he were looking at them. They flew only slightly past him befor his arms were sweeping through the air, sliding the disgusting things into talons like bear traps, gathering the all up into his hands which he clutched and pulled. He screeched a warning and jerked his head to try and get them to keep going as they turned, and the apparent leader nodded and hurried his men through the door. The Owlman focused on Spectrum and repeated the head motion even more urgently.

The sound seemed to echo off the walls of the infirmary as though amplified to a level that didn't seem possible. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
A pair of doctors rolled their eyes at the seemingly neverending sound. It grated on their nerves. That of course was it's desired purpose. Nate had never liked doctors...Well, maybe one...But for the most part he hated them. Always poking and prodding. It was annoying. The doctors definitely thought the same about him.

Now reclining in a needlessly uncomfortable chair with his feet propped up on the bed beside him, Nate continued to crunch the Doritos between his teeth with as much sound as possible. He had made sure to bring a big ol' bag too, just to prolong the torture. Of course the sound wasn't aimed entirely at the docs. The unconscious ass in the bed was his main target. Nate, now changed into his street gear, popped another Dorito into his mouth as he eyeballed Eli. He tilted his head slightly to the side and squinted before coming to the conclusion that, no, he in fact did not have psychic powers. Not if his attempt to psychically wake Eli was any kind of proof. Well that was disappointing.

He instead turned his attention back to the pair of doctors who had been assigned to watch over the good Mr Craigh and after a brief staredown, popped another Dorito between his teeth.

Crunch.

Not long after the two the doctors were replaced by a rather plain looking nurse. Eli snapped away. His mind was racing wondering what the hell was going on. With movements based on nothing but pure instinct, Eli grabbed the nurse's throat. Before he had time to realize what was happening, Eli heard a crunch that was much too loud for the realm of possibility. Eli simply looked back still auto poilet and set the bag a blaze. It was the he realized what was going on and unless somehow he had been out long enough to get him Apature, he was safe.

"Might wanna drop that bag." Eli said knowing that even the chips themselves were flammable. He quickly let the nurse ago. "You okay?" He asked the nurse not really caring. He knew he didn't hurt her. Maybe scared shitless but not hurt. "Run on and get me Eva Adams and tell her to bring me some clothes and a pair of jeans." He told the nurse.

"You need something boy? Cause I ain't so pretty as to justify you lookin at me like at."

Chilli heatwave. Nate giggled slightly to himself as the the flames consumed the logo on the bag. He quickly tossed the flaming Doritos aside though, seemingly not caring about the possible dangers of such a reckless act. Luckily nothing else caught on fire. He watched the nurse flee and crossed his arms over his chest. Still with his feet on Eli's bed, he smiled and replied "I dunno, maybe in a certain light..." He waved his hand vaguely in the direction of Eli's face before pausing for a moment, screwing up his face and adding "Nah...You're right".

He casually glanced down at the still burning bag of chips before returning his gaze to Eli. He should probably try to avoid a similar fate.

"I'm just here to check in on my new colleague" he smiled. With the skill of a great actor, he pretended to have a sudden realization. "I mean...you do work here, right? The boss doesn't just take in any old mass murderer that comes crashing into the building does he?". His tone almost implied that he was joking around but Nate was actually curious about what Eli was doing here. He was somewhat concerned about the implications of the reformists being associated with a known murderer.

"Stick around long enough and I guess you'll find out." Eli cocked his head slightly, he had seen this boy before but where? Eli started waving a crooked index towards him. "Now see I know you from somewhere, somewhere in the last day or two... Did I did bang your sister?" The words may have sounded light hearted but his face showed no signs of joy or joking. It was something cultivated in his upbringing, dry humor.

For the second time today he noticed. His chest wound was bleeding, something wasn't right here but he had no clue where to start with it. He instead did what he knew to do. Placed an erupted hand over the wound and seared it shut.

Eli was more than used to the stench of burning flesh. It was no more foreign to him then the smell of fresh cut grass to some or the smell of the sea to others. Yet even he had to admit, the smell of ones flesh burning was bad.

The "Talk"

((Collab between Bee, Raijin, Santa and Savato ))

Isabella was a bit surprised, and admittedly, a little humiliatingly frightened, at Sebastian's escape, but thankfully, Issac - she should give him more subjects in the future - and Camille - what a wonderful brat - had come to her rescue, giving her the advantage once again. Regaining her poise and hauteur, Isabella spoke:

"Sebastian, Sebastian Sebastian, I don't have any personal animosity towards you," a minor lie; she hated being manipulated, but she can cast that aside for now, "it's just that you were preying on enough pawns to make the rest feel like doubting me, and no leader can survive being doubted by her followers." Isabella sounded reasonable enough.

Sebastian smiled at Camile, ignoring Isabella entirely.

"Great see you as well Camille, hows the eternally childish body and addled mind treating you. Speaking of addled minds, where's Jaden. He and I have much to discuss, but that will have to come later."

Sebastian found himself a chair and sat down, looking completely relaxed despite the fact that he was very much outgunned at the moment. "I must say Issac, quite the impressive specimens you have here. Unlike Isabella, you make sure each of your creations are absolutely perfect, or as close as you can get. Isabella just throws spores at whatever moves and gives it power, only to get mad when said abomination get knocked over like bowling pins by her enemies. Oh, and I must say that my 'preying' as you call it, though lets be frank and call it torture shall we, it flows more eadily off the tongue and is quite closer to the truth."

"Anyway, what do you expect when you rule by fear and doping, getting weaklings high on power, only to have them be massacred by the hundreds, it's not a particularly effective way to raise an army, one of any true worth that is. But then again, who am I to judge, for I have no army at my back, no forces willing to die for me. I'm just an insignificant speck, a drop of blood that goes unnoticed to the world, and I'm quite content with that. A true testament to my modesty, no?"

It seemed that Sebastian had recognized the small fry of the team and didn't hesitate to remind her of the fact that she was indeed quite small given her age. Camille rolled her eyes at the disgusting young man's remark before making her dandy way toward her colleague while the redhead entered one of his ridiculously long speeches. She approached the short scientist whom she considered possibly their best asset in this organization, excluding herself of course, placing her gloved hand on his shoulder. She was still shorter than his petite figure, so a little boost by standing on her tip toes would help her smooch the young man's cheek with her cold, damp lips. The smooch lasted about a second and ended just as Sebastian tackled the army subject.

When that strange little moment of affection was over, Camille beamed at the talkative fugitive with a rather seductive look. She knew what kind of crazy and disgusting fuck he could be, and she would tease him. She quickly paved her way toward a nearby shelf which held random antiques. She promptly grabbed a pretty looking plate with blue patterns on it, only to mercilessly throw it at Sebastian's infuriating face as if it were a Frisbee.

"Punaise FERME TA GUEULE, Jeez no one gives a single butt about your ceaseless discharges of crap!"

Camille shouted out of the blue, almost as if she was angry at the pretentious man and how he dared to present himself this way to her mother. Indeed, she was ticked off by him, but that was because she was fully aware of how manipulative he could be. Luckily the need for real violence was absent considering the situation he was in. Even Light wouldn't stand a chance against the people in this room teamed up.

The child-like female still waited her mother's response as to what she would do, but spending a little more time throwing things at Sebastian was something she'd be willing to do.

Isabella fumed at Sebastian's points, points that poked holes at her means of control. However, before she can respond, Camille threw things at the redheaded offender, amusing her and almost - almost - bringing a laugh.

"And what do you suggest, Sebastian? That I rule by love and friendship like those 'Reformists'? That I rule by genuinely looking out for the hoi polloi? Even if I do that, the fact that you were going after essential personnel, Metahumans who didn't need my alterations, and torturing them to death, well, let's just say that it deprived me of people whom even I didn't want to lose. No, my leadership methods work, and even if they have drawbacks in the long run, said drawbacks can be accepted."

"Besides, it's not as if I don't pay attention to strength; after all, as Camille said, I managed to defeat Cedric 'Starchild' Wessex and Light. In fact, we might be on the verge of victory."

"Which is why I will be magnanimous. Torture and kill the Reformists instead, and don't come near us any longer. If not, then you won't leave here alive."

"Isabella, don't be so short sighted." Isaac said, wiping his cheek and pacing slowly towards his dragon.

He put a hand on its side, feeling one of its familiar vital points. He found that it was still healthy, but he knew that it didn't have a long lifespan. He had grafted metahuman parts onto a base body, added life, added growth. It grew like he wanted it to, with a few pushes along the way. The trouble with accelerated growth was short lifespans, and there was little Isaac could do about it. A large complex beast like the dragon had taken a long time to grow and nurture, and it would all go to waste if it was killed or it outgrew its life expectancy.

"This dragon took time, Mr Lyone. An army of weaklings has its benefits." Isaac said, studying the dragons life signals.
He withdrew his hand and turned back to address the group.

"But I agree with you on some points." Isaac said. "What we need now are not weaklings. We need stronger units. Quantity can only go so far."
Isaac paced back to the beast-man, taking a step for every word to accentuate the point.

"And that is why I wish to use your strength, Mr Lyone. Isaac said. "Quality takes time, and it'd take time we don't have."
He touched a vital point under the beast-man's neck and measured its vital signs.

"As I said before, an army of weaklings has its own merits. Ms Lancaster has proved that she is an effective leader, and her skills have benefited us." Isaac said, withdrawing his hand and turning around to face the group. "Regardless of our individual grudges, it is necessary to band together, lest we face annhilation; and that is why I suggest we put our grudges aside for our ultimate long term goals."

Sebastian easily deflected all of Camille's projectiles with his blood tendrils, his face remaining as calm and passive as ever. It'd take more than a bratty temper-tantrum to get him to lose his cool.

"Now Camille, the adults are talking, so please stay out of it. And stop trying to act your real age, it just comes of as creepy and strange unless you're a pedophile, which I'm not."

Turning back to face the adults, Sebastian listened to Isabella's counter and Issac proposal, deciding to respond to the former, grasping at any chance to deflate her ego.

"I suggest you become an actress, and that's all I'll say about that. And about your supposed victories over Wessex and Light, I ask you, are either of them dead or in your possession? No, Wessex was escorted out by some of your flunkies when he offered them a better deal, and Light is Light. I know from reports I that she's an impossibility to kill and that her abilities could make her one of the most devastating metas there was if not for her morals, so excuse me if I doubt your little pet was able to do more than delay her a little. And what has these small setbacks to your enemy cost you, your base of operations, the name and reach of your company in all likelihood, a good chunk of you forces, possibly even your new pet project if you don't get Wade out of here in time. All of this loss, because you acted rashly and tried to kill Miss Olivia when she came to negotiate. You're right Issac, she's an amazing leader, one I would gladly follow into battle without a singular doubt in my mind." Sebastian reclined into his seat, head propped up by his fist as he rested his elbow on the arm. "As for how I know about all of this, well, that's what we call a secret."

"Issac, I'm sure you realize Isabella's maiin issue. She isn't nearly as smart as she thinks she is, and the arrogance that come from this delusion clouds her judgements and decisions. I can't even begin to fathom why you've left Halo alive or outside of your custody for so long, her ability being both a great utility and an even greater risk."

His little rant/reprimand over, he took a breath to settle himself before he asked the all important question.

"That was very eloquent, Issac, truly, but I do wish for you to get to the point. I have a new tag-a-long that shares my love of inflicting pain, and I do wish to get back to her before she starts. . . experimenting without me."

"My point is, Sebastian, we cannot stand alone." Isaac said, adjusting his glasses. "So long as there is a threat, the majority will never rest."
He turned to the hole in the wall contemplatively and stepped slowly forwards, hands behind his back, as if in comtemplation.

"I acknowledge that Isabella has her short comings, but everything in this world has a use." Isaac said.
He spun back around to face the group.
"Tell me you all, why did you join the underground movement?"

Isabella then spoke, seeing that Camille had gone inactive.

"I founded the Underground Movement to gather all those who do not believe in peace and coexistence between Humans and Metas, to gather all those who wished for a world where Metahumans ruled and Normal Humans were either punished for their persecution and discrimination against the aforementioned Metas, exterminated, or turned into slaves. The Underground Movement is an umbrella organization for all those with issues against the 'Reformist' Establishment, minor and major."

"Sounds almost noble, isn't it? Problem with that, though, is that advancing the interests of someone other than yourself, even if it is the Metahuman community, is against the truths of power and pleasure I espouse. I created the Underground Movement to have a battalion of people to take care of my every need and whim, and to advance my position so that I can live according to my truths." She held her head arrogantly.

"Because I wished to see how far I could get, how high I could manipulate my way through the ranks. And my form was rather spot-on, except for one thing. I didn't count on how much of a motivator desperation was. By the time I figured out one of my toys had escaped, you were already on my tail. So I simply gave in, knowing the chance of death was still high, but trying to run or fight would've made it certain. The movement was just a stage for me to perform on, just like most places, and I preformed masterfully."

Stretching slightly in his chair, with all the coiled poise of a jungle cat, his grern eyes blazed with a wild abandon. "Issac, I joined the movement because I could, nothing more, nothing less. I'm a simple man, with simple tastes, and no such thing as morals to get in the way of them."

A bulge of veins formed on Camille's forehead as her facial muscles tensed in frustration over the pretentious tone the serial killer was taking as he addressed her mother. She gritted her teeth for her patience was wearing thin for the psychopath, not that she would be very patient at all to start with, but her already biased behavior toward him only made matters worse. She delivered a soul piercing glare at the young man's being, her intent on murdering him were becoming quite apparent, especially if one knew just how much of a fan of killing Camille could be.

"Mama, can I have my orders please? If I stay any longer I think I'm going to kill that piggy..."

She took a deep breath, turning her head to her mother with a calmer look. She was obviously annoyed but at least tried to keep it cool for the individual she praised as her superior and mother. However something still roamed in her mind; Sebastian mentioned Light's behavior being playful, almost not serious, which made sense to Camille's mind. Thinking about it, she would swallow a bit of her pride realizing that the monster she had recently locked up could have very well been far superior than any other Meta they've locked up. She impatiently waited, so that they could end this quickly before that thing would show up again.

"Camille," said Isabella, in a moment of perception, "I think you should guard our other asset, Ruby the Technopath." The Reformists would not dare harm a pregnant woman like Cindy. Besides, I'm coming to fetch her myself.

She then turned towards Sebastian and Issac.

"I have no time for this; I have to either go see to my personal 'pet project', or unleash more 'abominations' onto the oncoming Police and Reformist Metas; either way works. So, I'll have to go."

And with that, Isabella left the room.

"Very well." Isaac sighed. "Let me explain my deal."
He sat down on a piece of debris from the wall and continued.

"As you know, the actions of Ms Lancaster has allowed the movement to be compromised." Isaac said, vaguely waving in the direction where the sound of combat was coming from. "As you also know, in 2 weeks, the baby Eden will be born, so I'll make it simple for you."
He got up and walked towards his man-beast, turning to face Sebastian again.

"Two weeks." Isaac said. "Follow our orders for 2 weeks, and then after Eden is born, you are free to do whatever you wish."

[For clarification purposes, it's kind of like this: Sebastian has to follow orders for 2 weeks and then gets to do whatever he wants after Eden is born. This will put Sebastian's vengeance on hold and also give time for Isabella to come up with something to counter Sebastian and keep Eden safe if Sebastian decides he wants a piece of tree baby Jesus]

"Sounds doable, I'll have to go reclaim my protege though. I hope you don't mind if I stay out of sight around you guys, I've been planning to lend my love to the Reformist, see if Cedric is any smarter than Isabella, though that's not very hard, is it?" Sebastian chuckled, before he got up and walked over to Issac, hand extended. "I do believe we have a deal."

And deals are made to be broken. I will bide my time, waiting for the perfect moment to turn Isabella's crowning glory into ashes, basking in her despair. People are such idiots, always keeping me alive. If I were them, I wouldn't let them walk 5 feet before I lopped their head off.

Sebastian gave no indication of his treacherous thoughts, his mind, heart, and aura as peaceful and calm as always. He was the snake on the tree of knowledge, a manipulative serpant that will bring all who listen to his hissing whispers to ruin. But he sims even higher with his ambition than even the devil himself. He was going to burn the garden, increasing the beauty of it with ashen suffering. And all he had to do is wait for that golden moment, when no one is watching,to light the match and set the flame.

Isaac got up, took Sebastian's hand and shook it. The deal was done. In truth, Isaac knew that Sebastian was likely to betray the deal, but in all honesty, it wasn't Isaac's problem. Sebastian didn't have a problem with him, he didn't have a problem with Sebastian. Isabella would have to come up with something on her own, because Isaac wouldn't step in when Sebastian inevitably went after her life.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr Lyone." Isaac said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I will take my leave and pursue the matter of aiding our defences."
He let go of Sebastian's hand and snapped his fingers. The man-beast appeared next to him and teleported next to the dragon. The dragon moved closer and he disappeared in a flash of blue light.

---------------------------------

Outside, the battle continued, with the reformists on one side and Isabella's mutants on the other. Both side were suffering losses, but it was clear that the reformists had the upper hand. Suddenly, a monstrous roar sounded and 3 dragons, each a little larger than a bus, appeared from the hole in the ground, leaving charred, melted and frozen corpses in their wake. The green, red and white dragons landed on the surface and began blasting at the reformists with their breath, lending their power to the underground movement forces. With renewed vigour, the mutants attacked the reformists who were being suddenly put under pressure because of the dragons as even more demons surged to bolster the numbers.

[Don't worry, you can kill them, but they're pretty annoying to kill. Green is acid, red is fire, white is ice, obviously.]

---------------------------------

Releasing a sigh of relief, Camille was glad that she at least had something else to do in this time of crisis that didn't involve handling fodder. Ruby Greenfoot, she was the MVP of this whole thing from the start and that made Camille a bit jealous of her being the needy little girl of the group. A deal had been done, and she wasn't too happy about it which would oddly make her the most sensible person in the whole scene contrarily to her usually irrational behavior. In fact she'd likely be the least intelligent person out of the four, if we were to talk about eloquence and political acumen. Isaac had left and she frowned just a little, she wanted at least a little hug from the unfeeling man, not that it would bring her much but hey, kids.

As Camille turned to face the exit she had previously used to report back from her mission, she fixated Sebastian for a cold second, expression her obvious disgust and distrust of him. As it was said, she wasn't really smart, which made her prone to being annoyed easily by his ridiculously long monologues and overconfident insults directed to her mother.

"Hmph."

Is all she said before walking toward the exit, only taking a small pause in order to grab a soft drink on the minibar her mother had specifically placed for her. Since Camille had lost a bit of blood by using her abilities, she needed to feed her body with energy. After all her abilities made her metabolism strong enough to quickly recuperate with enough food in her disposition. Once gone, she couldn't help but notice an advert on the back of the canned drink. Upon closer inspection, she saw the face of the woman she had exchanged blows with earlier, the dreaded Light. In a moment of enlightenment, she facepalmed.

"Ohhhhhh..."

She groaned as she walked through the many hallways in order to regain the small dungeon they had locked up the Technopath in for safekeeping.

Nate somehow managed to smile at the line about sleeping with his sister. He had developed a thick skin over the years and if he reacted every time someone made a comment like that his body count would be much higher than it actually was. His reaction to Eli burning his own flesh was very different though. The stench was awful and it caused Nate to screw his nose up in disgust. It wasn't like he hadn't smelled burning human flesh before. He had been responsible for a couple of fiery deaths in the past. Hell, he had even been on fire a couple of times himself. And not just battlefield triage to stop a bleeding wound. He had actually been full on burning man burning. Or at least one of his duplicates had...Poor number 6...But he still didn't like the smell. It brought back way too many memories.

"You do realize we're surrounded by medical professionals, right?" he asked Eli. What kind of idiot and/or masochist burned themselves rather than ask for assistance? "We may need to have you checked for a concussion" added Nate, narrowing his eyes at Eli.

Eli smiled and ignored the Statements made. "You were at that café, latte something or another. Got a thing for the girl, do yah? She's cute but not really my taste. More of a tomboy kinda guy myself, not Butch but I have trouble to with women who hold their own." Eli said with a snap if the fingers, an added exclamation point.

Not a few seconds later the wondrous personal assiant Eva Adams walked in. "Oh my g-d Eli! Did you just burn yourself again!? There are doctors and all kinds things to help you with tbags!" Eva held what looked to be freshly laundred clothes in one hand and covered her nose with the other.

"You got some clothes?"

"Yeah, but who is he?"

"Some shitdick that fancies himself a member of whatever stupid shit they got going on here. Has anyone called about buy a copy of Dr. Zhivago?"

"Yeah, it wasn't long before everything happened at New Sun."

"Great." Eli said before taking the bag of clothes and getting dressed. Thanks to Eva Adams selected clothing Eli looked better then he had in a long time. A white Egyptian cotton slim fit shirt, a waistcoat and jacket covered his upper body. While a pair of blue jeans, and tony lamas covered the lower half. Eva Adams had even thought to bring him a watch. Even though this was not nor would ever be anything Eli would ware on his own accord, even he had to admit he looked every refined and sophisticated. He loathed it completely, oh he looked great but in his own mind Eli hated it. Still Eli wasn't on look a gift horse in the mouth.

Eli turned back to Nate. "Well Mr. Shitdick. Care to show me around this place and help me find a place to eat? Flyins a workout like none other."

Oh so Eli had noticed him at Lattetude. Maybe he wasn't as dense as Nate first assumed him to be. He wasn't sure how he had picked up on the fact that Nate had a thing for Raven though. He nodded as Eli admitted that he had trouble with women, a voice in the back of his head telling him "Maybe you and this guy have more in common than we thought". He shook his head gently as though trying to shake that thought out of his head. It was true that Nate did have trouble with women sometimes. But only the ones he really liked. He'd flirt with pretty much anyone with breasts and be the most confident person on the planet but when it was someone like Raven, someone he actually found himself caring about, he was like a little boy. All tongue tied and stupid.

But the thought that he could have anything in common with Eli Craigh was just annoying. He reminded himself, however, that he didn't actually know this guy. He only knew what he had read. Maybe he should at least try to get to know him.

When Eva Adams walked in, Nate's smile only grew. As Eli introduced him as "some shitdick" he beamed at her. That dazzling smile that had won over so many. He had become a master of the pleasant smile, using it to charm people to his side. As Eli began to dress, Nate offered his hand to Eva in greeting, still smiling as he said "Pleasure to meet you. Your boss really is a wonderful human being isn't he?" The smile and pleasant words masked his true feelings. Eli was admittedly kind of an ass. But then so was Nate. Another thing they had in common.

Damn it.

As Eli asked for a guided tour of the facility, Nate tossed his eyes towards the ceiling in thought. Could he show Eli around? He had only just gotten here himself a matter of hours beforehand. He was hardly the best person to show him around. But the thought of food made him agree. "Sure!" he said with maybe a little too much enthusiasm. He had seen a cafeteria somewhere around here. He began to walk out ahead of Eli and Eva, waving his hand for them to follow. "I'm sure we can find something that at least vaguely resembles food around here"

Spectrum looked to where Owlman was motioning to and he saw the shadowy beings begin to attack. He made his hands glow blue and released a large wave of repulsive energy. It would knock the creatures away and send them flying that is unless they weren't solid. Either way he would fight them off to protect everyone from the shadows.

"Stay on your guard Owlman, we have keep everyone safe" Spectrum said to the owl-like hero. He hoped that the shadows hadn't killed too many people when they attacked.

Eva smiled back and shook his hand. "He's not so bad. He's honest and truthful if nothing else." She turned back to Eli and questioned something she had heard before. "Why did someone call asking about Dr.Zhivago?" The call itself seemed random and somewhat unnerving.

"Back about six or seven years ago that cafe building was used as a front for an old German arms dealer names something Mannheim. We never got along all that great but money talks. Businesses come ago, there a dime a dozen, the owners of those buildings hardly ever change. Dr.Zhivago was a code name for cocaine in a move from the early 90's. True Romance I think it was, pretty good little love story. Anyhow I called the guns that one day and it stuck.

"How did he know to call? Did you leave like a sign or some sort of code? Something all clandestine and spyish?" Eva's voice was getting a little excited.

"Nothing of the sort I'm afriad. Just left my number on a hundred dollar bill. He got the message. Stop asking questions now. Go on and yamer on about something else." Eli watched as her face went from excitement to deflated in a hurry. There were plenty of questions he would answer, but curiosity was a dangerous and lines had to be drawn somewhere.

They both followed the shitdick with out much of a word. There was no real reason to talk. Outside of idle chatter. "Well shitdick what can you do? I assume your some sort meta or you just some kinda groupie?"

Walking just a few steps ahead of Eli and Eva, Nate couldn't help but overhear their conversation. Although he pretended like he didn't, gently humming to himself as he walked with his arms crossed behind his back. The bit about Lattetude was interesting. An arms dealer? He wondered if Raven knew anything about that...And that only prompted him to wonder more things about the delicate looking woman. What else didn't he know? Probably a lot. His chronic paranoia was flaring up again.

At least now he knew that Eli hadn't written his number on that note in the hopes of Raven calling her. So there was that.

When Eli asked Nate what he could do, he decided to be a smartass...again. "Of course I'm a meta" he confirmed "I have the ability to move through time at the speed of time...I'm 13% bulletproof...and I also have the power to transform into an 82 year old Hungarian woman with a weak bladder."

"Jeez, how do these guys find anything in this maze?" Light said as she wandered the underground tunnels of the meta base. There weren't as many monsters down on the lower levels as there were on the upper levels. Though that also made her job a bit easier, as when she finally found a monster, it was guarding one of the jail blocks. "Now for an escort mission, yayyy...." Light thought to herself as she entered the block, beating up the few guards that were taunting the prisoners. One had the smart idea of trying to hold one hostage, but that didn't last long when his back was covered in one of the acid vials Light had snagged earlier.

The prisoners were unsure of what to make of Light. They didn't really like her, being anti meta activists, but they were aware of her. With a little coaxing from the one prisoner she had helped though, they begrudgingly accepted her help, Light ripping off the door to the cell while giving a silly bow. She leaded the group of hostages back through the tunnels, making a few jokes to try to lighten the mood or beating pp the few monsters that got unlucky enough to get in her way.

When she got near the surface, she could hear loud roars and screaming. Blasting a new hole for the hostages to escape out of away from the main fight, Light saw three large dragons attacking the police and the few metas that were helping them. Once she saw the white ice dragon, she got excited. Making sure the hostages that were following her were in police custody, she threw down a hole and popped up behind the ice dragon. She decided she was going to tame it, just because of its white coloring, and jumped on its back. "Your going to be my pet!" Light declared as she got the attention of the dragons.
