Gavin sighed in relief as the attackers were forced back before he gotten involved, he could finally relaxed. Gavin flinched as he heard a loud shrieked came from the shadows, a sheet-like ghost appeared with a massive toothed maw growled how it will eat their fears, Gavin was the closest to the ghost. He was taken aback and didn't know what to do. Labramon looked worried and started running to the paralyzed Gavin, "Gavin! Dodge!"

Gavin reacted to his name being yelled, he flinched, he didn't like people yelling his name but it gave him the chance to dodge at the last moment. He rolled out of the way of the sheet covered hand, he barely dodge and Labramon tackled Bakemon, which staggered him back a bit enough to give Gavin breathing room. Gavin ran "He... almost hit me..." Gavin shuttered realizing he could've been hurt.

Labramon growled loudly, Labramon was angry that Bakemon tried to hurt Gavin he must protect Gavin. He must do anything to protect him.

Gavin's digivice glowed, Gavin grabbed it from his pocket, "What in the world?" Gavin mumbled.

Labramon glowed brightly and his body change drastically, the glow finished Gavin could see that the white and pink dog turned into a Doberman like form, Gavin looked in confusing, "Labramon?"

The dog looked at Gavin, then at the Bakemon, the Doberman ran quickly in front of Gavin, "Call me dobermon." Pup finally replied to Gavin. Gavin was befuddled trying to piece together what happened.

Dobermon opens his massive jaws, "Schwartz Strahl!" Dobermon yelled as a black beam was fired out of his mouth towards the Bakemon. Looked like the beam pierced through its sheet-like body.

Tinkermon had made her way back to Anna by time the Bakemon had gotten it's spooky grasp on Gavin. She was about to help when the dog-like digimon rushed out. . . Just, not quite what it was before. "Holy Geez, that guy just digivolved!" She said excitedly. It was the first day and someone digivolved already! That was quite the surprise.

"Digivolved?" Annaliese asked as she watched Dobermon pierce the Bakemon with a black beam. "Are changes with digivolution that drastic?" She asked as she continued to watch on.

"Depends on the digimon, though some more than others. That one's not even that drastic." Tinkermon replied. "I'm not sure what is going to happen to me. Scared?"

"I'm not so scared. Just worried I won't be able to discipline you as I need to anymore." Annaliese retorted sharply. Nothing the small fairy didn't already expect as she laughed it off slightly.

The Bakemon was momentarily stunned by LAbramon's digivolution. It seemed these humans were capable of exactly what his Lord said. But no matter. One champion level freshly in his new form couldn't match it! Seeing Dobermon's attack, the Bakemon opened it's fangy maw and the attack vanished within it's dark innards, as if swallowed by a black hole. "Tasty. More!" it shrieked, "Evil charm!" it roared, and swung one of it's appendages against Dobermon. "Soon, you'll be mine, mutt!" it laughed hollowly as a mirage of clock appeared above the dog digimon. Unless the Bakemon was defeated, then within five attacks, the magic seal would explode with enough force to take out all of it's opponents.

Caelyn wasn't one to rush in to one's aid, but it seemed this attack was going to be devastating. Falcomon made quick work of the Mushroomon she was fighting against. Impressive. Caelyn thought to himself. Hearing Bakemon shout "Soon, you'll be mine mutt!", snapped Caelyn out of his trance and back to the battle at hand. Caelyn's mind tried to formulate and a strategy that may work. "Falcomon, do you have my back?" Caelyn didn't wait for the digimon to respond, he saw that when Gavin was in danger, that his digimon powered up. He hoped he had solved that riddle correctly, because if not, it surely wasn't going to end well.

"What are you doing!?" The avian shouted behind him. Here goes nothing. Caelyn drew his sword and slashed into the beasts flesh? He hadn't realized that this particular mon was a ghost! What in the hell am I doing? It was totally out of Caelyn's comfort zone to do something selfless. No, not selfless, if this attack lands we will all be toast. We need each other. The renewed vigor found in Caelyn led his next slash. It scored a pretty solid hit. Enough to get the attention of the large creature.

Bakemon's glowing red eyes looked down at Caelyn and he felt imminent doom. He felt an attack about to bore down on him, when he looked at his digital device he had picked up, he noticed it wasn't glowing. Well that plan didn't work. Suddenly, Falcomon charged. Before Caelyn could take in the spectacle he heard her shout: Ninja Blade! The bird swooped in on the ghost digimon. I hope this is enough, or at least buys us some time. Caelyn could only hold his breath after the thought.

Then a thought hit Caelyn. "Falcomon, lets aim our attacks at the clocks, and see if they can be destroyed! I do not know if this will work, but it's all I have right now!" "Wind Blade! shouted Falcomon and the air blade zoomed right for the clock around the canine digimon. Caelyn and Falcomon both watched in anticipation to see the result.

Akira scrambled backwards away from the ghost. He had never been keen on horror movies but he knew he had to help somehow.
"Patamon we've gotta do something right?" He said looking up at his partner.
"Right." Patamon said gearing up for another fight. "Boom Bubble!" He shouts again sending his attack flying at the ghost.

To it's great surprise, one of the humans actaully dared to attack it. What was worse, the brat had a sword. A sword that managed to chop off one of it's tiny arms, causing it's data to start slowly disintegrating. The Bakemon howled terribly and a spectral sword appeared in it's remaining arm. but before it could chop off Caelyn's head, Falcomon's attack thrown it off course and the Bakemon missed. Before it could take another swing, Patamon's boom bubble flown around. he missed, but the impact to the ground thrown a cloud of dust, temporarily blinding the ghost.

Syakomon wasn't too happy with the way the fight had been developing sure both sides had a Champion level Digimon, and they had the numbers advantage.But while Bakemon probably couldn't win, it might still be able to delete one or two of the Rookie Digimon or worse some of the humans.

Luckily it seemed he wasn't the only one to realize who the biggest threat was as Falcomon and even Caelyn attacked the Ghost Digimon while Patamon managed to blind it. Using the fact that Bakemon momentary was unable too see, the Crustacean Digimon decided to try and hit it with it´s Water Pressure attack.

Gavin watched Dobermon attack the ghost with a dark beam and the ghost just ate the attack, Dobermon cursed under his breath as the ghost attack him with it's claws, as the claw connects a clock appeared above the Digimon.

"Dobermon, what did it do just now?" Gavin asked worried about the Digimon's safety. Dobermon stayed silent, he didn't want to worry Gavin, but he knew what will happen if he's not quick enough. "Don't worry Gavin I won't let it hurt us," Dobermon said in a much deeper voice than his first form. Gavin was taken aback by the new voice. But the sounds of attacking and blast gotten Gavin noticed as the rest of the group was attacking the ghost Digimon. Dobermon saw his chance to help and charge at the Bakemon and as he gotten as close as he could get he let out a second beam of dark energy right at his face between the eyes.

Gavin was still shocked to move, he stood there watching the group do all they can do. A smile crept on his face. He didn't need to fight himself.

While the attack of the rookie harmlessly bounced off of the white digimon, Dobermon had a stroke of luck. Hitting the place where one of Bakemon's limbs was missing after Caelyn chopped it off, the attack had easily pierced the ghost digimon's body and left through the other side. With a bone chilling shriek, the Bakemon fell to the ground and disintegrated into fragmented data.

With that, the mirage above the doglike mon dissipated and the remaining mushroomon fled the scene, vanishing in the thick forest. And as suddenly as the attack begun, there was now silence. But who knew what else lurked in the forest?

The group of teenagers and tween (as some would call her) kept at their journey through the woods. It was a fairly taxing trip. There was no great need to negotiate with the terrain or anything and it just felt like it took a long time to go anywhere. It didn’t seem like the scenery began to change at all either. Though, if one had seen a bit of the jungle, hadn’t they seen it all?

Somewhere along the way though, a path appeared. No, not a cut through path where a giant digimon had been tunneling through the foliage to get. . . Somewhere. No. It was a paved path of brick. It looked a little, weird. For brick at least, though a quick step on it would proved it was just as sturdy as what it would likely be assumed and the group continued on the paved road though the wooded area.

The path was oddly peaceful. After their encounter with the Bakemon a day or so ago they had run into a few random digimon running around. Some hostile and quickly forced into fleeing and others pointing them the right way. Now however, there was nothing. The sound of the wind brushing the leaves gently, but not digimon.

Further down the road, something odd was standing there. “A candy house?” Annaliese asked as she stared at the building. Her face showed some excitement. “There really is a candy house!”

As the group was walking through the forest Derek was surprised that the legless Syakomon was keeping up with them."That pearl thing you launched at that mushroom was pretty cool. Do you mind if I call you Pearl? It's easier to pronounce than Syakomon." He made sure not to mention that Pearl was a girls name. "Oh I don't mind at all, but in exchange I'll try to come up with a nickname for you."

The newly named Pearl spent the next few hours trying to come with a good but not insulting nickname for his partner. He was so lost in thought hat he barely noticed the change from dirt to brick road, seeing a candy house did bring his mind back to the Digi World.

When Derek saw the candy house he couldn't help but think off the story of Hansel and Gretel. "How much do you wanna bet it belongs to a witch or something?" He said in reply to Annaliese's comment.

Before Annaliese got a chance to reply, the large door opened up and out stepped what looked like a woman using a broom to support her walking with a really tight robe. A small cat like creature sat around her shoulders and looked similar to the little buckle that stood on her hat. Her hands seemed just a little too big to be realistic. She seemed human, but not at the same time. "Well, you're not all too far off." Tinkermon stated. "That one there is Witchmon."

Witchmon saw what she was looking for, whoever it was that was making noise outside her house. Mounting her broom, she floated over to the group and looked over them all rather quickly. "Who are you all? Not exactly Digimon. . . Well, not all of you at least. I'll guess some of you are humans?" She didn't seem especially hostile, in fact she had a wide smile across her face though it kind of just looks like her face is just naturally like that. "I've not had the pleasure of speaking with humans before. What brings you all out to my humble abode? Hopefully not to eat it. I've had plenty try that out and regret it."

"Yeah, we're humans and while I can't speak for everyone I have no intention of eating your house" Derek replied being more and more reminded of Hansel and Gretel. Without thinking about Witchmon´s possible reaction, he took his Digivice out of his pocket to show it to her thinking that the others no doubt would have done the same thing if he hadn't beaten them to the punch. "In fact the six of us are actually Digidestined."

Syakomon meanwhile was a bit more worried what the champion level Digimon might do because of that information. "We are not here to fight or anything though, in fact we"re just looking for a way out of the woods. Can you help with that?"
