"Amaiyo..even the spirits I call upon are as shaken up as Abernathy...however, I'm willing to be your friend as well." Makoto statesas he walks up to the devilish angel, not seeming afraid in the least. He even offers his own hand to her, crouching down to be on her level. "We could definitely use some more help with this investigation. Are you with us?" He asks Amaiyo.

"Hey I'll be your friend to even if it means Fred might hate me." Lucas has walked his way over to the small group, and has started to stroke Amaiyo's head gently.

Amaiyo's eye continues to glitter with the utmost happiness as everyone around her continues to accept her presence. She's unfamiliar with such kindness from strangers, but she gladly accepts it. She puts her paw in Makoto's hand, and purrs when Lucas decides to pet her.
"Of course I'm with you all! I promise, I won't abandon you, friends!" Amaiyo nods. At this point, Abernathy has pretty much just given up, his head resting in his hands as he shakes it in the background of the scene.
Amaiyo is so happy, and sounds so innocent right now, that, in addition to her cute looks and little voice, she would seem almost harmless to those who don't know better.
....But that's about to change.
Suddenly, a growl is heard from father down the pathway leading up to the mansion. Amaiyo and Minako turn to see a particularly large, hostile-looking wolf, with gray fur and eyes that, for some reason, glow a dark red. It's extremely obvious that it isn't friendly in the slightest, unlike Amaiyo seems to be.
"Wolves? Here?" Minako looks a bit surprised, but then she remembers, "Oh, yeah...that's right. I had to fight a wolf on my way up to the mansion...but, this wolf doesn't look like any regular wolf. We should probably exercise caution in-"
"You wanna play, puppy? Alright then, but you'll have to play with me~!" Amaiyo is already skipping down the yard to meet up with the slavering beast before Minako can even finish her statement.
The beastly wolf lets out another growl, and races towards the dainty little cat angel, with teeth at the ready to clamp down and shred mercilessly into whatever they touch. At the last second, however, Amaiyo grabs the fur underneath the wolf's chin with one paw, and flips it completely over her head with extreme ease, leaving it to slam back-first onto the ground behind her. She sways happily from side to side, humming, seeming to actually be waiting for her opponent to get up again. The wolf gets back up in a few seconds, shaking itself off, and then going for another attack while the angel has her back turned.
"Got-cha~!" Amaiyo whips around incredibly fast, sticking her little knife into the wolf's chest. The attack obviously doesn't do a whole lot, but the 1 second pause of surprise that the beast gives is just enough for Amaiyo to shift her blade's form into that of a huge sword with branching spikes, which stab through almost every side of the wolf. She then turns her knife back to it's normal, small size, so the beast's body can fall to the ground. Though she's definitely won, Amaiyo isn't done yet. Next, the shifts her knife's form again, this time into a pair of huge scissors with jagged-edged blades. Then she unhooks them, so that she's got a blade for each paw. Amaiyo tosses the wolf's body high up into the air, and flies up after it with her wings. When she gets there, she starts slashing with her blades, faster than the eye can follow.
Amaiyo uses her wings to land daintily on her feet, and the wolf's body lands behind her....in tiny, bleeding diced cubes of fur and meat. She puts the scissors back together, turns her knife back to normal once more, puts it in her pocket, then picks up a couple of the wolf cubes and actually eats them.
"Sorry! No eating my friends~! Though, you're pretty delicious! Maybe you should've eaten yourself, or YOUR friends!" Amaiyo giggles. She turns back around, skips back up to her new friends, and beams up at them all happily. Minako is silent for a minute while she tries to take in everything she just saw.
"U-Um..." Abernathy, having lowered his hands to watch everything, now clears his throat to speak as he moves away towards the mansion's front doors. "P-perhaps now might be a good time to go back inside...before any more poor unfortunates can feel the wrath of-....er, I mean, before we get attacked by any more wolves."

"Aww such a good kitty, did the big bad wolf hurt you?" Lucas is completely unfazed by the slaughter that had just taken place, Lilly and Riley have been long gone from his shoulder they are with Fred scared of the person in the mansion.

Makoto blankly stares at Amaiyo as she slices and dices what he assumes to be some sort of dire wolf. He then simply blinks as she eats the wolf's remains as if it were cheese cubes from a platter served at a party. Now, he walks over to Minako, gently placing a hand on her shoulder in order to grab her attention. "As much as I would enjoy watching Amaiyo eat more cubed wolf, we should head back with Abernathy so we can try and find a way to keep our promise." He states, now awaiting her response.

"Um, yeah. Sounds like a good idea..." Minako agrees with a nod at Makoto, and follows Abernathy back inside of the mansion.
"Hurt me? Oh no! I'm just fine! Besides, no one can hurt me. I'm too good for that, especially when I'm with my friends!" Amaiyo replies to Lucas while skipping after Minako and Abernathy, inside of the mansion.
"Okay Renn, this is it!"
"W-what are you planning on doing...?!"
"Huh? Oh! It's the other angel I saw when I walked up to this place! Hello again!" Amaiyo grins cheerfully, waving at the two girls.
In front of the group, Ellysa stands, holding her sword in one hand, and holding Renn under her other arm, probably not with her consent by the embarrassment on Renn's face.
"Ellie, w-would you mind putting me down before you do anything too serious with this whole thing...?" Renn pleads with her friend, but Ellysa is too focused on Amaiyo. She points her sword at the cat angel's direction.
"I will not be taken down into the underworld! Neither will Renn, or anyone else here for that matter! I won't allow it without a fight!" Ellysa announces.
Amaiyo blinks up at the angel girl, then giggles. "Oh, silly other angel! I'm not here on any business as of right now. I just came here because I thought it'd be fun to hang around with all of the ghosts and stuff."
"W...what?" Ellysa looks dumbfounded as she lowers her sword to the ground.
"It's true...in fact, she just stopped a wolf from attacking our living guests outside....with the...utmost efficiency..." Abernathy says the last part with a bit of unease. Amaiyo beams at the statement.
"Ah...I...see..." Ellysa looks disappointed.
"Looks like you conjured up all of that bravery for nothing....sorry..." Renn murmurs.

From an indoor balcony, overlooking the ground floor, a couple of new faces overlook the people below with grins that almost look...sly.
"What adorable new people we have here...they look alive, save for a few. Unless, those are just more ghosts here that I haven't seen yet." The girl, wearing a red dress and pigtails with a matching little top hat, leans in with her elbows on the rail. "What do you think about the little dears, Luxton...?"
"The look like odd souls...but, we've worked with stranger, now, haven't we?" The boy next to her, in a smooth green suit and a matching hat with a wide rim accompanied by a long feather at the side, traces circles on the rail idly with a finger. "Should we go down to meet them now, Sylena?"
"We'll see. I don't know, I kind of like watching the cuties from up here like this...but, they're bound to notice us soon. They look smart." Sylena giggles in response.
"Ah, yes...but, if they don't notice us soon, I'm afraid I might not be able to stand staying up here, apart from them like this..." Luxton nods with a small grin.

Makoto, not only feeling as if someone is watching him from above, but also, thanks to his newfound demon form, smells two unknown demons. He looks up and automatically spots them. "I know you're there. Show yourselves!" He calls up to the duo. Luckily for them, he had his fill on tadpoles, so he didn't plan on eating them...for now, at least.

Minako and the others turn their heads to try and spot who Makoto has caught sight up. Once they do, Abernathy sighs.
"Oh dear...the 'excitement' simply never ends..." Abernathy mutters.
"Ooh~! I knew they were smart, Luxton." Sylena purrs.
"Excitement? Please, just wait until we get down there." Luxton winks down at the group on the ground floor in response to Abernathy. He then takes Sylena's hand, and both of them climb up to stand on the railing. The two jump down, but before they can hurt themselves, they release their pairs of wings, landing perfectly in front of the group.
"Greetings, our adorable new guests...." Sylena giggles, moving a bit closer to Makoto. "I knew for certain when I saw you that you were a sharp one...and I find sharp ones to be quite interesting, myself. My name is Sylena. Enjoying the mansion?"
In turn, Luxton moves a bit closer to Minako. He holds out a palm to her. "I also had a feeling you were the same way, dear. Though, you seem a little out of it, here. Perhaps I can help you adjust to this all a bit easier, if you'd honor me so by letting me. My name is Luxton."
During this whole exchange, Abernathy stands by, looking as if he's both unamused, and completely unwilling to play along.
"No. No to both of you." Abernathy huffs.
"Oh? Are they bad...?" Amaiyo asks, reaching for the knife in her pocket. "I can take care of them, if they're a danger to my friends!"
"N-no, no, that....that won't be necessary, Amaiyo." 'It hardly ever is in any situation, the way she handles things...' Abernathy finishes his own comment in his thoughts, then turns to Minako and Makoto. "They aren't so evil...but, I will caution the ladies here to stay cautious of Luxton, and the gentlemen present to be wary of Sylena."
"...Why is that?" Minako thinks she probably already knows the answer...but, she might as well hear it from a more reliable source.
"Luxton is an Incubus. Sylvena is a Succubus." Abernathy replies simply.
"I had a feeling..." Minako looks back at the two new demons.
"Oh, come now! Abernathy here makes it sound as if we're completely dangerous! That is certainly untrue." Sylena pouts a bit.
"Yes. I assure you, we're quite civil." Luxton adds. "Though, if you're in danger of anything, it's falling for our charms regardless..."

"A Succubus, huh? Well, that explains the flawless landing and irresistible charm...the name's Makoto. It's a pleasure to meet you. Being a new demi-fiend, I do certainly hope I won't have to resort to devouring you later." He states, sounding nice, but at the same time, being straight to the point as always. Heck, even now, he's barely able to control his urge to transform at this moment in time to fit in better with these new demons. However, he wasn't quite sure just what would happen if he did turn, so he tried his best to suppress it for now.

"Well, how polite you are! This one knows his stuff, certainly." Sylena giggles with delight at Makoto. "Oh, the pleasure is all mine, Makoto. I'd hope as well that you wouldn't end up trying to eat us...but, it's not like Myriatte hasn't already tried to do something similar."
Minako feels a bit odd around these other demons as well, but tries to suppress the urge to transform again. If she were any hungrier, though, such a thing might not be possible. "My name is Minako. It's...good to meet you as well." She smiles just a bit at the incubus in front of her now with a nod. Mentally, she's decided that maybe things will be easier if she just acts friendly towards all of the residents here, unless they come off as immediately hostile. Probably a good plan of action.
"Ah, a truly beautiful name for a beautiful lady." Luxton smiles as her, taking her hand and kissing the top of it. "I hope we all get along just fine here, for the duration of your stay in this place..."
"Well, as long as they act like friends, I'll treat them as such too!" Amaiyo grins.
"Right..." Abernathy sighs a bit.
When Lucas enters, Sylena and Luxton turn to hear what he has to say, and Sylena gasps.
"Oh! Please, don't ignore us! That'd make me oh so very sad...." Sylena pouts again.
"Trust me when I say that, if you're here to investigate the history of the mansion and the town nearby, you won't want to overlook us..." Luxton winks again, though he's now looking at Minako instead of Lucas.
The Incubus and Succubus turn once more to listen to what Ater has to say.
"Hm, wow...seems like the living investigation group is 3 cute guys to one girl. Perhaps I've got my work cut out for me, this time around..." Sylena laughs. "Ah, but on the subject of the mansion...we do know some important things. Rather...we saw some important things."
"True, it seems there's only one living girl here for the moment, but I'd argue to say that she's the best..." Luxton chuckles, then nods at Sylena. "Yes. It's also worth mentioning that...Myriatte left something quite important out of her story."
"Wait...were you watching us out there?" Minako asks. She never felt the presence of any other demons outside, besides Myriatte and Makoto...
"Not quite. It's just...we've heard the story before. On top of that...you do realize there's over 100 souls trapped here, don't you, dear? Someone's always watching you, listening in, and news spreads quickly. Of course...the most active of the ghosts here spreading news is Amelia." Luxton replies.
"That's quite true. She's fast, active, and she was the one who made me aware of your arrival, guests..." Abernathy adds.
"I think she let Myriatte know as well. Not with any malicious intent, though. I think the cat is incapable of such things. She's far too innocent for that. Innocent, active, and yet quite...'absent', in a way." Sylena shrugs.

Fred looks up at him tears streaming down her face,"Really?", "Yes really.", "Oh,ok I am still going to cry for a while I think it's helping with my stress."

"Well, the more people aware of us, the better. Whether they perceive us as a threat or not is their problem. There are some fights you just can't win.." Makoto says in response to the pair's statements regarding Amelia's leakage of knowledge. A small smile then forms on his face as he looks at the Succubus, quite fond of her already. "Well, how can I ignore someone as interesting as you, hm?" He inquires, referring back to Lucas' earlier statement. Considering he was able to call on all sorts of spirits, he always had an interest in them and the common mythological tales that surround them.

"Only two living guys? Oh, well, that's fine. Even having just one around is a treat." Sylena purrs in reply to Lucas's comment.
Amaiyo's ear twitches when she hears her name being spoken, and she listens in on Fred and Lucas with a grin. "Of course I won't hurt you! I mean, I'm not assigned to. Not yet. I'm not assigned to go after anyone at the moment..."
"Well, I'll support that view, for the most part." Abernathy nods at Makoto's statement on other ghosts being aware of the investigation group's presence. "Most of the ghosts here aren't particularly hostile...just, maybe not so trusting. Though, those few that are hostile...well, I hope I can at least be by your side for such inevitable encounters..."
Sylena giggles delightedly at Makoto's words directed at her, a small grin making it's way across her face. "How sweet of you to say, darling..."
"So...can you tell us what you know about this whole mystery, then?" Minako smiles politely at Luxton.
"Ah, a girl with manners! Just my type." Luxton winks at Minako, then clears his throat and gets a bit more serious. "Yes, we'd be happy to tell you lovely people what we've experienced. Sylena, you should start. It always makes more sense when you do."
"Gladly." Sylena nods in agreement before beginning her tale in a more serious tone as well. "You see...Luxton and I found Negloria town when individually looking for places to scout around, as it was our natural job. We both decided that, as a small town far from others, it'd be a relaxing, easy place for us to work. From there, we began working as partners, and both of us managed to find jobs as employees to Lavenshade Mansion. Of course, we both worked jobs that suited our needs for attracting others to us. Luxton was a bar attendant, and I was a performer. I used to sing and dance on the stage of the large ballroom. I suppose you've not been there yet...because us two are usually there, and this is the first we've seen of you all."
"I wasn't aware that this place had a ballroom...but, for such a large mansion, it certainly fits." Minako starts searching the foyer with her eyes, trying to identify what could be a door leading to such a ballroom. Luxton catches this (as he's only been eyeing Minako the whole time Sylena has been talking), and chuckles.
"Don't fret, my dear. We can show you all the ballroom once we're finished here. Perhaps we could even dance together." Luxton grins lightly.
"Anyways...yes, we've existed for centuries, but most of what we recall on the important side of things is when this mansion's owner was indeed still alive. This mansion was built by his younger self in the late 1800's, so we came years afterward. His eldest daughter was engaged, and his younger daughter was outgoing, but quite polite." Sylena continues on.
"So...the owner had two daughters, not one. Interesting. Go on." Minako takes note of that fact. Earlier, they did receive info that the master of the mansion had a daughter, who they'd all guessed was Negloria...but with two daughters, there could be something more to it. She prepares to take more important mental notes while continuing to hear what the Succubus and Incubus have to say.
"He was a very kind soul, always throwing lavish parties for nearby townspeople to attend, letting the little children who went on daring 'adventures' out to this mansion in the Shinkuro Woods have prizes and treats for their efforts, and so on. So...what I saw during a certain evening's performance startled me. You see, I was in the ballroom that night, entertaining the guests. I was doing a dance routine of mine, when suddenly, I start hearing shrieks and cries from further down the room. I take a closer look, and see two men in shady, concealing outfits walking away from the mansion's owner. The owner had two girls at his side, one his older daughter, the other being a friend of his younger daughter. The younger daughter was making a fuss, because one of the shady men was carrying her away. All her father and sister did was watch. The young friend, several years older than the young daughter at the time, did pursue the shady men. After seeing all that...well, I took my break, and then attempted to follow the men and the young friend, mostly out of curiosity. I couldn't find them, even when I did walk far past the fence of the mansion. I then went back and tried to locate Luxton. And when I found him...well, tell them what you were doing now, Luxton." Sylena gestures to Luxton to indicate that it is his turn to speak.
"Yes. I almost wish I could've been there to witness all that Sylena had, but at the time, I was already on my break from service in the ballroom's bar. I was strolling about the halls when I noticed a large group of men being led by one girl to a room upstairs. My curiosity was piqued, since I'd assumed that Sylena was the only other Succubus around the area. I decided to tag along with the group and watch. What I got was more gruesome than I'd anticipated. You see...that girl was Myriatte. She led those men in to sacrifice for her own gain. None of them survived. She'd have come after me too, if I hadn't turned into my own demon form in defense, and proven to her that I posed no threat, and could indeed defend myself from a threat as well." Luxton explains. "I escaped, and then ran into Sylena. We then retreated to a safer room to discuss what we both saw. That room upstairs still exists, the murder scene...but no one goes in there if they aren't a ghost. That's Myriatte's room here. Any creature with a body made of blood and flesh can expect not to step out of there unharmed."
Minako takes a moment to think over all she's been told, then looks back at Sylena. "Sylena...do you think the little daughter who was taken away could have been Negloria?"
"Well...that's what I wonder." Sylena replies. "The older daughter had brown hair up in a bun, hazel eyes, and was very polite. I believe that she's Yolani. There's no way she's not. However...the second daughter, the little one, was outgoing, polite, and also had brown hair, but in two adorable, smaller buns. And her eyes were bright hazel, almost amber. That doesn't fit the appearance of our little Negloria at all, does it? The only thing that matches there would be the age...the daughter looked about 5, and so does Negloria."
"I remember what the friend of that younger daughter looked like, though. She had long black hair, and purple eyes, sort of like Negloria. Though...the problem with that identity theory is that the friend was about...13-ish, possibly. Definitely not young enough or small enough to fit Negloria's appearance as we know her now." Luxton offers.
"Tch...great, another living group of kids on an investigation of this place, riddled with demons and ghouls of all kinds. Wow, people today are just so very smart, aren't they?" Another voice, a girl's, joins in on the conversation, but upon looking around, no one else can see where it's coming from. Abernathy stays silent, offering no comment as to who the voice belongs to, but by the look on his reptilian face, it's clear that he does indeed recognize it...

Makoto takes a moment to digest all of the information being given to him by the pair of demons before him before noticing a female voice speak at random. In response to the voice’s remark, he simply yawns, taking a moment to stretch his arms. “Honestly, if you’re supposed to be the wise one here, you’d know better than to provoke anyone here. Especially if two of those “people” happen to be newly created demi-fiends.” With that being said, the blue-haired boy smirks as he’s enveloped by that blue glow once again, it fading to reveal his demonic form. However, after his recent tadpole feast, he seems to be in better control than he was the first time around. Of course, the temperature drops slightly as a result of this transformation, it now cold to the point where everyone can see their breath. “Abernathy, care to enlighten me on the annoyance that is the disembodied voice?” He inquires.

Abernathy looks between Ater and the newly-transformed Makoto, then lets out a sigh. "Well...it's complicated, but you could say...that she's this mansion's current 'owner', so to speak..."
"Damn right I am. You people should treat me with more respect, since you're in my lair..."
From a mass of pitch-black shadows off in a nearby entrance to the room, a figure steps out into the light to meet Minako and the others. She looks like an ordinary 13-year-old girl, wearing a regular-looking girl's school uniform. Her hair is long and black, and her eyes are dark enough to look nearly black as well. She would seem totally normal...if not for the sinister vibe she gives off, and the smirk on her face.
"My name's Lavenshade." The girl introduces herself. "Penelope Lavenshade."
"The same name as the mansion..." Minako murmurs, a bit confused.
"Ah! Miss Penelope! Hiiiiiiii again!" Amaiyo grins, waving to the girl excitedly.
"So...you know Amaiyo, too." Minako turns her eyes back onto the new girl. "And also...you fit the description in the story. The original owner's younger daughter had a friend who looked just like you, apparently. Care to explain you connection?" Minako was getting slightly irritated as well, but she wanted to hold off on her own transformation for a bit longer, to see if she could reason regularly. Something told her this wouldn't go the ideal way, though....
"No, I don't care to explain anything to you people, because I'd prefer if you weren't here at all." Penelope retorts, keeping a polite tone all the while as she crosses her arms in front of the group. "I'll admit...I've been watching you, and I'm more impressed with you than the last group of stupid teenagers that wandered in here. Idiots, they were. However, they were all just straight-up living humans. You have outside ghosts, and now 'demi-fiends' on your side, it would seem. Hell, you even got Amaiyo here to be on your side. Not that such a thing is really hard..."
"Penelope, listen, we're only trying to help all of the ghosts here get free. And to do that, it seems that we have to investigate further into this mansion's history. If you could just cooperate-" Minako begins.
"-Yeah, I know all that. I've heard it all before." Penelope snarls back. "But I'm one of the few not trapped. I'm also the 3rd when it comes to people who know the most about what's going on, and the history of this place. Why won't I tell you anything willingly, then? Because you don't understand how much harm you'd be doing to everyone if you did actually get to the bottom of this. This place was turned into the soul-sealing place it is now for a reason. If you found that reason, and freed everyone...then it'd be over. It'd be over, and he would come back. Then my friend, that daughter you speak of, would be hurt all over again. I promised to protect her. No matter what. Even if that means imprisoning so many...I'll keep this place in check. If I have to drive you out of here myself, then I will." With those final words, Penelope's hair starts swaying a bit, though there's no breeze in the room to be found.
"...Miss Penelope..." Amaiyo frowns for once, and steps in between Minako and the secretive girl. "I'm sorry. You're a really good friend, but...I promised I'd help my new friends here, and promises are important, right? So..." She starts reaching for the knife in her front pocket, but Penelope only smiles, crouches down to the cat angel's level, and pats her head.
"It's okay, Amaiyo. I understand. Don't worry, we won't fight." Penelope grins.
"....Not in front of you, anyway."
Suddenly, her hair possesses a life of it's own, and takes Amaiyo by surprise, wrapping itself around her neck under her neck ornament. There's a sickening snap, and Amaiyo goes limp. Penelope stands back up, and uses her hair to carelessly toss the body aside.
"She'll be back in a little bit. I just didn't want her to have to distress over her friends fighting. Tch, if you can even claim to be her friends..." Penelope explains herself before anyone can raise an objection. "Now then...Sylena, Luxton, and Abernathy. None of you will interfere with this. Is that clear?"
"....Yes, mistress." Luxton and Sylena shuffle back a little from the scene.
"Why must it always be this way....?" Abernathy sighs, but reluctantly backs off as well.
"...I was hoping to reason with you, but I suppose that won't be happening this time around. Maybe we'll just have to beat the information out of you, then." Minako states as she herself is surrounded by a pinkish-red glow, and transformed into her own demon form.
"Heh. Fine then. It's a deal. Either I beat you out of this place, or you beat me into telling you what you wanna know, you destructive bastards." Penelope grins, now baring fangs, and her hair floating around now like restless snakes. She unfurls a pair of large wings that look to be made almost completely from darkness.

"Right I'm glad that I'm only here to investigate this mansion." Lucas backs away and moves next to Fred,Lilly, and Riley. "So if you don't mind I'll stay out of this."
