PM people who might be interested. Ask your players to show their friends. That'd be a decent start.

Well, Shocker+ seems to be a bunch of busy beavers. On he one hand, Cinder approves. On the other, Nono doesn't.

Also this is a personal thing but I'd switch up my GMing and give the game a constant mission based format, to keep things exciting. Bad things should happen to UMMA every once in a while to encourage them to stay active. Basically nothing bad has happened to that side at all, so I'd do something big. I'd also clarify SE's major/minor goals, and make sure its missions relate to those in some form or another.

I think UMMA and SE both have NPC leaders. They should designate a few PCs on each side as "Generals", and have said generals arrange missions for each side, designating where their players need to go.

UMMA should have a major concern in controlling collateral damage from various battles. Conversely, SE can use raids and terror attacks to serve as bait while it goes on other missions.

NPCs shouldn't have too much power as far as getting missions done is concerned. That power should lay in the players' hands. Otherwise, you take away player agency, which is super toxic for any game.

Both teams should manage where they send agents of varied powerlevels to counter the other's missions. If you send weak UMMAgents to the wrong place, then SE will win. But if you have to many gather in one world or waste an overpowered UMMAgent, that would allow SE to easily assault another, undefended world, for example.

Both teams should also focus on recruiting neutral characters to bolster their ranks, as well.

Well, I can't imagine the Incubators are happy, given that the universe was essentially doomed to be inexorably destroyed by Entropy.

Not in the least, but hey at the very least you've got the Madokaverse and the SnKverse in play?

The Madokaverse isn't very fun without magical girls, which to my understanding was just rendered pointless by the complete removal of Witches. I think.

Then it's just Japan number whatever they just obtained then. Hm.

I expect at least twenty different Japans to be on either side of the equation at the end of all this lol.

@IncredibleBee: Well, to start with, SE has already won once, though no SE players chose to participate in the scene. They got the item they needed from the Tanngrisnir and left. I can hardly go discussing SE's major goals without massively spoiling the plot. Even if I only tell people with SE characters, they still have UMMA characters as well for the most part and there's still spoilers involved there as well.

Switching to a mission-based format would quite honestly eradicate any non-action or conflict-based interactions, and to be frank I'm not interested in doing that. I also feel like it would be rendered largely plotless if all missions were determined by people who don't actually know where the plot is going, even if I am fairly open to suggestions for that kind of thing.

Frankly, this is sounding more like a clunky attempt at play-by-post real-time-strategy then an RP and, once again, it would largely destroy anything not based around combat or completing a mission. Character interaction is important too. The only thing I really feel is important there is ensuring that the outcome of events can be altered by players, which of course is possible.Of course I have planned events for the plot, but that's not to say that those are the only things there.

@Flamelord/PKMNBOY: Well, there's dozens of versions of each of these universes, so it's not like any of the changes made prevent people from pulling characters from these settings if they want to or anything like that. After all, it's a multiverse.

... Even AOT, as much as I'm personally not a fan of it at all.

Personally, I'd appreciate a more focused plot. As it is, most of us are off doing our own things, and that isn't very good at drawing and keeping interest. If you ask me, I'd say give both sides a clear goal to work for, spoilers (which I can guarantee anyone can reasonably guess, The Leader's posts have been laying it on quite thick) be damned. If the alternative is stagnation and eventual thread-death, I say go for it.

What spoilers? It's pretty obvious that Shadow Eternity is planning to destroy the multiverse. They don't seem keen on grabbing power or money. Instead they're just grabbing random macguffins, and that generally means doomsday device.

I'm going to guess that this is where 'explaining the whole plot' comes into it as a problem.

Or they could be grabbing, I don't know, parts for a superweapon? Which could just be to destroy Yggdrasil? It's been stated from the start that they're not in this for power or money even if they might get some of that on the side, they're absolutely going for the destruction of the UMMA. Taking out Yggdrasil is the logical way to do this.

I'm not saying whether anyone's guess is right or wrong, but seriously.

I'd much rather reveal things organically rather than just post everything I have in mind. The only mistake I can possibly think of is not exactly clarifying what object is intended to do the destroying of the UMMA, but I didn't want to just tell everyone that.

Hey, wait. Isn't the Yggdrasil basically at the epicenter of the multiverse, and acts as sort of a junction for multiversal travelers? Wouldn't attacking it with sufficient force to destroy it be basically like launching a SCUD missile at a beetle on a tree trunk? The UMMA would be destroyed, but I certainly think the multiverse would be heavily damaged as a result.

Sort of like destroying a Mass Relay in Mass Effect, you know?

I don't recall every stating anything like that. It's important, yes, but it doesn't hold the multiverse together or anything like that, and neither does the location it's placed in.
