Phoenix Wing

The flower to his speech, this man had to be a poet. She playfully rolled her eyes as he gave them, what Vivian would call, a blanket compliment. Works well on crowds.

Trinity never really liked Vivian.

But, this man didn't quite seem to be as - aaah, how to say - as much of a social "chess player," so to speak. That could be yet another air, used to decieve, but how far was she willing to doubt?

"So then, you are his... brother? An interesting way to speak of your brother, if you ask me." Then again, this guy could have meant a number of things. It was hard to tell, honestly. But... at this point, she had no real reason to doubt him. "Well, he just left. Not sure where to, or really how long it'll take him. You're welcome to wait here for a bit, if you like."

Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

Alexi followed Jamie, keeping her hood down and avoiding eye contact with anyone in the guild as they passed. She was excited that she would finally be able to possibly get some help in her search, but she also had a glimmer of dread in her heart. What if this mysterious Guild Master was unable to help her? What if she had come all this way for nothing? She didn't think she would be able to take any more failure. Her life had been so hard up until now, and she had lost everything....she just wanted some glimmer of hope in her life.

Alexi looked around the office, full of books and papers, and wondered if all Guild Masters conducted their business like this. It must be a very stressful job, having to take care of all of these jobs, research, and the Mages under their care. Alexi wondered if people actually chose this life, or if it was thrust upon them.

When Jamie told her to sit, she did so, thanking them quietly. She slowly brought her hood down, throwing, for the first time in full view, her short red hair, and two different colored eyes. She looked at Jamie and breathed deeply before speaking.

"Guild Master...you already know of my...condition. I'm becoming a Vampire due to my Magic, and I'm terrified. I don't want to be a Vampire...I don't want to hurt anyone." She spoke quietly, softly, but she never took her eyes off Jamie. "I need a cure. I need a cure to this curse that has been plagued me for so many years. But not just for me. My brother is also a Vampire Slayer, and I fear this may be happening to him, wherever he is. I may be asking for a lot, but please here me out. Do you have any idea if there is a cure, a way to stop my transformation? And do you have any idea how I can find my brother?"

She stared at Jamie, her hands gripping the edge of her hoodie, her heart beating fast. This, she felt, was her last hope. If she failed here...she felt that she may die.

"I have the book that gave me the power. I honestly don't know exactly what happened. I opened the book, there was a flash of darkness, and when I woke up, I had the powers of a Vampire Slayer." She said as she unzipped her hoodie, and drew out the Grimoire from an inner pocket. She placed it on the desk between them, looking at Jamie once more.

Rose sighed seeing Jamie swamped with varying guildmembers and their needs. What a headache. "Come elyse I have a few places I must go today...plus I need to get you that new toy I promised" she said gently picking her little girl. Up she left a note just incase before she left the guild hall. She first hit the flower stand, where she bought a few bouquets of flowers for the places she planned to go. She smiled some as she carried elyse and the flowers heading towards the outskirts of the city visiting a very old abandon ruins of what use to be a home. "We lived here for about your first year of life." she told elyse laying one of two bouquets of flowers on the porch "it was here that I learned to truly love cause it was here that I brought you into this world...mother helped me become the mother you deserve"she said gently

Lucas Ryder

Where: Guild

Lucas walked away from the guild master, he realized that the girl hater and Fleo were gone and Amaya waited, looking anxious about this mission. What exactly did I sign up for, this place is.... out there. Lucas turned to the girl on the floor, this isn't the first time he met a vampire mage. Lucas walked to Amaya, "Hey Amaya, Why are you keeping you're powers a secret?"

Draco

Where: Unknown Town

As one of Draco's birds made its way towards a small town it was clear to him that he was indeed at the right place. Buildings were destroyed and people were dead, ripped apart and blood poured all along the ground. The black bird transformed into the human manifestation of Draco. He slowly walked through the middle of the street, the moon being the only light. A flash appeared from the corner of Draco's eyes and he jumped, flipping through the sky backwards. A bright glowing purple panther faded into thin air. Another flash, this time a speeding bird the color of red darted towards Draco, "Still too slow" Draco dodged the bird as it exploded behind, barely missing him. Draco shot out a feather towards an old building, direct hit. A gasp turned into a shout as Draco landed with his hands in his pockets. "That wasn't nice Draco." A blonde women with bright blue eyes and a smile that could kill came from the building, "But you aint that fast either," She held out her hand, revealing that she caught the feather. Draco smiled, "You know this form isn't as fast as my real one, but it's still fast enough to dodge your Formulated Magic Blasts." Draco looked around at the destroyed town and dead people, "Did you get it?" The female laughed, "Of course honey, so what does Draco want with little old me?" Draco's smile faded, "Actually, I dont want anything. The boss does, it's time. Selena, do you know why you've been collecting these ancient artifacts? What's he planning?" Selena scoffed and laughed, "You're his son, his best man and even you don't know. Hahaha, well then he must be playing this one close to the chest huh. We both know, he tells us to do something we do it, otherwise we could end up like Jeremy..." They both looked to the ground with the wind being the only sound. "So we have to get back now? Been months, when does he expect us?" Draco started to walk back, "Two weeks. And since I don't remember you flying, I'll walk this clone back with you, the other ones will get the rest." Selena scoffed at the remark but decided to walk next to Draco. Leaving the destroyed town, dead bodies and the bright lit moon behind them.

Ariel
Things were getting very busy at the guild hall and it wasn't something she was particularly fond of. Stepping away from the other she looked around curiously and figured giving herself a bit of a tour wouldn't hurt. More than a couple of times she nearly ran into Nero which she found odd. Did he want something?

Before long curiosity got to her and she found the strange wizard with the young girl from earlier as the clothing changed. "Hey, were you trying to get my attention?" For some reason she didn't seem to realize that she was the one that prompted Nero to draw her out. Not everything was shared between her personalities.

Master Jamie

Master Jamie was silent for a time, appearing to process some things. Finally though, he sighed softly, "A little known fact about slayer magic, despite it being so coveted, is that it has the ability to transform the user into the very thing they are meant to slay. That's what happened 100 years ago, with the fall of the great guild, Fairy Tail, as well as the fall of magic. Their Dragon Slayers, in order to try and defeat both the dark Mage Zeref and the dragon Acnologia. They succeeded in Killing Zeref, but even for the four dragon slayers of Fairy tail, and their companions from other guilds, Saber Tooth being one, they still couldn't slay Acnologia. ALl they succeeded in doing was unleashing themselves upon the world. No one likes to talk about that time, but I have searched high and low for any information pertaining to that battle. We now have two dragon slayers here, and I hope, two dragons that can help us. For somewhere deep in the world, there are now seven dragons slumbering. And I fear our time is running out"

Jamie sighed heavily, and was silent again for a long time, as if contemplating her own words. She was serious and there was a look of great sadness on her face. "In any case, their battle, and subsequent...stalemate set the world against magic for nearly 100 years. And then new magics, magics forgotten, ancient magics, and magics from 100 years ago, started occurring more commonly, and these users wouldn't be denied their power. My estimate is that there s currently 20 percent of the population that can use magic, and that is increasing every year. It gives rise once more to the slayer magics, but only now, there are different ones. Such as your Vampire Slayer magic. Zeref was the worlds darkest mage, even if, at times, he seemed to try and fight the darkness in him."

Again, a silence, as if contemplating things, what things could have been, and what things were. Jamie looked to Alexi, and said "Zeref was an ancient mage himself. Some say that Acnologia was a part of him. Others that he could transform into the giant, black, dragon of doom. But we now know that this tale isn't true, for if it was, Acnologia would have died with Zeref. He unleashed darkness upon the world, and yes, from this darkness rose creatures like Vampires, so what was left, but to create a magic that could combat them? Only with Vampire slayer magic, the transformation comes on quicker, for the drive of blood, human blood, blood with magic in it, changes the user faster." Jamie sighed, wishing he had better news for Alexi.

Instead, he continued on "No one ever found a cure for it. Just as no one ever found a cure for the transformation the dragon slayers underwent. Or the god slayer. We currently have a god slayer in our guild. Or is it two now? In any case, Lazarus has, since he discovered these abilities, come close to losing himself. it s my understanding that he hasn't, only because of Sasha, who has a peculiar control over him. But then, Lazarus always has had a god, or heaven complex. In any case, I get off topic. While there has never been a cure for the slayers, there has been ways of slowing, or indeed stopping the transformation. whether that is friends, family, or love, or even simply other ways of compensating, I do not know. But I will find a way to help you, and to help cure you of this condition. For now...I know you do not wish to drink blood, but you must, in order to not lose control. however, there are other ways of obtaining the blood you need. Through donations, like I did, however, I would not recommend that, as that would hasten your transformation even more. No, my recommendation would be animal blood. A cup a day, to keep your hunger at bay, I think would do it." Jamie looked to Alexi, to see if she had any comments to make.

Fleo Plector – Vehicle Lot

Before entering the vehicle selected by her companion, Fleo took a moment to marvel over it. Aside from trains for insurmountably long-distance transit for which relying upon her Sirocco would be vastly impractical at best, public transportation went for the most part unused by Fleo. It was her pleasure to glide along the country roads beneath the vault of sky, breathing in the balmy breeze, giving audience to the chirping insects and sampling the perfume of whichever flower caught her wide-open eye. To be free, and to move freely, gave the dusty woman joy like nothing else. In fact, if this carriage happened to traverse a particularly palatable patch of terrain between the city and the desert, she fully planned to exit the carriage and scoot along on a carpet of dust. Still, unfamiliarity breeds interest, and Fleo gave the carriage a brief but intimate run-over before climbing inside.

The dour mood of Nolan succeeded not in breaking her excited optimism. After jumping slightly when the vehicle began to move of its own accord, Fleo slid over to the window and watched the buildings wash by. From the outlook of the streets, she knew they were headed back toward the guild to pick up Amaya and Lucas. Honestly, it still surprised her that nobody objected to the name 'Powder Keg'. While not bad for a first attempt, it carried the connotation of a livewire, ready and waiting to explode at any moment. Fleo cast a glance at Nolan, sitting glumly in the seat and avoiding her gaze. It wasn't hard to imagine the brusque boy letting loose with his ominous Ash God Slayer magic for only a minor annoyance.

A minute jerk announced that the carriage had reached its destination. Fleo promptly poked the door open, stuck her head out, and cheerily shouted, “Come on, guys! Get your butts over here so we can go kick some butt!”

The sight of Ayame so pleased with her new garb did not alter Nero's expression a smidgeon; it already perfectly encapsulated his gaiety. Sure, some people hated serving others, but seeing or hearing someone appraise the work of your hand favorably always provided a sense of fulfillment in his eyes. “My magic?” He said, momentarily distracted by an approaching figure, whose definitive movement toward him of all people sparked a weird sort of feeling. “Er...my magic!” He regained his composure, and pushed up his glasses in such a way that made the guild hall's light shimmer off them. This gesture, he thought, was silly, but it carried an air of studious mysteriousness sure to befuddle or at least entertain a young girl. By now Ariel had drawn almost as near as Ayame, captivating his attention with her blue clothes. In a moment, he decided, he'd have to memorize those too. “I wield a magic like none other! There are wizards who dabble in curses, yes, but there are few who create them, and only one who makes them frickin' awesome...and it is I!”

Nero slipped a small book from his pocket and popped it open, from which he began to recite officiously: “Retrogression: to temporarily reverse direction! Escalation: to rapidly increase! Atavism: to return to a former state! Affliction: to grip in illness! Augmentation: to boost power! Raiment: clothing! Embodiment: to bodily represent! Manifestation: to make appear! These I wield—the Curse Laws!”

Nero placed his palm in front of his eyes, leaned forward, and held up his other hand behind him in a stylish pose. He could only hold it for a moment, however, before he started to crack up. Once recovered from that, and back in a more ordinary posture, he sought fit to reply to Ariel. “I wasn't trying to, but then again, maybe I was. I endeavor to get everybody's attention, to have all eyes on me. I'll settle for yours, though. Metaphorically, of course, I wouldn't have anywhere to put them right now if you took it literally, tehee!” Nero replaced his little book and adjusted his hair slightly, suddenly self-conscious for whatever reason. Perhaps someone else was cursing him? Unthinkable! “Can I offer you a wish? That's usually what people want from me.” A slightly overdone curl to his ordinary smile belied yet another experiment of his. If Ariel indeed differed in both appearance and mind when she changed between her orange and blueberry states, there was a good chance that her feelings were in tumult. Nothing was easier to make something out of than nothing, Nero reasoned, so he aimed to discern the extent of Ariel's interest in him by offering his ordinary service.

Spirit found himself at the job board once more, having just completed a rather easy job for a few thousand jewels. All he had to do was deliver a package to a shop, he wasn't even sure why it was requested of by a mage guild. He simply shrugged while looking through the jobs. One decently high paying one titled 'The Giant Worm'. A giant diamond worm, what could be easier? His magic focused on the internal workings of his opponent, so the diamond exterior was almost meaningless.

But, Spirit had never been to Lupinus, he hadn't explored a lot of the kingdom, at all. He'd need someone to go with him, someone formidable. He didn't know many of the people in the guild, having usually kept to himself. But, Logarius he knew and had heard of. He talked to him once or twice on occasion, but he didn't seem to be at the guild. Perhaps he would be in the city. He took the paper and put it in a pocket in his coat, he walked out of the guild and began searching the city for him. He asked a few of the townsfolk if they had seen him and they simply shrugged or shook their heads. If he didn't find him eventually, he'd have to find someone else.

Elyse Yashia

Elyse watched everything happening around the guild curiously, not really sure what was going on or half these people were. Where was everyone else that was normally here? Did they go away on one of those mission things they always talked about? Her thoughts on the subject didn't last long though, as her mother suddenly picked her up and brought up visiting a few places and getting Elyse a new toy. Only the latter interested Elyse in the end.
"NEW TOY, NEW TOY!" She shouted happily as Rose carried her out of the guild, laughing the whole while. She quieted down once they were in town and looked around at everyone and everything, sometimes asking Rose for things she shouldn't have, like every piece of candy they came across or every toy they came across, but otherwise remaining completely silent. When they arrived at the abandoned house and Rose began talking, most of it flew over her head, though one part caught her attention." Mommy had a mommy?"

Logarius - City of Magnolia

Logarius, meanwhile, was relaxing at one of Magnolia's many cafe's, sipping a cup of coffee. While he wasn't too familiar with Human emotions, he knew all too well that they made damn fine coffee.

Logarius was careful when it came to his true nature. While he was sure Jamie most likely knew about the fact that he was actually a Demon, and one from the Book of Zeref to boot, he was also sure that most other members of the Guild were none-the-wiser. And why wouldn't they be? While Etherious Demons used Curses instead of Magic, it was incredibly hard to tell the difference between the two, and Logarius usually went on quests alone, lest his unsuspecting Guild Mates find the truth one day. And that was something he did not want happening.

Who wanted to find out that a member of the same Guild was actually an ancient Demon who had spent a better part of his life killing for the sole reason of it being fun? He was sure most humans would NOT understand his situation. With an internal shrug, Logarius took another sip of coffee, scanning the crowd of people from behind his glasses.

He had used to find Humans to be nothing more than insects to be eradicated, but not he found them incredibly interesting. He loved studying them, how they reacted to different situations, and the bonds they formed. He himself had formed something of a bond to a human once...it had not ended well.

And so, Logarius was content with watching humans, and taking jobs from the Guild. Which he planned to do, once he was finished his coffee.

Prince
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild
Interacting: Elyse, Trinity, kinda not really Nero, James, Ariel, Ayame, Lucas, Amaya

Humming softly as he gently set the little blonde girl down to allow her to run off to her hearts contents, the tall man's furry ears twitched as the woman spoke, finally giving up some information about what he had came here for. Such protective people indeed. The kitten wasn't even here for very long and still he had drawn such a protective atmosphere. Suppose it was always like that though. Made it very easy to make money.

Humming a little at the woman's words about them being brothers, he let out a jolly laugh. "Perhaps. Or perhaps our bodies are bound by heated passion? Perhaps the waves of love drowning us and splitting us apart by misfortune? Or we are two star crossed felines who sips the same bottle?" Prince hummed and sang as he was constantly moving. Either sidestepping or just prancing about and around Trinity as he spoke. His movement fluid and smooth, well balanced. His freakishly tall body relaxed like it had never actually had experienced in preparing for a strike. Yet his movements could also could be compared to a fluid viper, dancing and always ready to strike unexpectedly.

The news of Karn's departure managed to release a heavy dramatic sigh from the cat man's lips, but his cheery smile stayed the same. Despite how he put the back of his right palm against his forehead in what must be perceived as disappointment.

"Ah I see, for shame for shame. I had wondered since his alluring scent seemed to have slightly faded from here. Shame shame but indeed I shall wait. He shall return, and in the meantime I can get to know the glorious city of Magnolia and its beautiful citizens." Prince chuckled before he suddenly dropped on one knee and clasped Trinity's hands together. Gingerly kissing the back of them and smiling brightly, his one revealed eye twinkling.

"Thank you ever so much malady for delivering me his so serous news! I feared I would be on another chase of the tail once more." The feline man chirped before releasing her hands and standing again. And somehow pulled out what looked like to be a fiddle from under his red coat, brushing against the shirtless torso before holding it properly.

"Awe this place could use some music. So tense in here." Prince grinned before starting to run the bow against the fiddle string, yet when sound came out, it didn't really sound like a fiddle. Instead, magical notes started dancing out of it as the tall cat man started dancin in tune. Obviously, not really caring if anyone paid it any mind, what anyone else was exactly doing, or not. Still the sound wasn't like obnoxiously loud, just enough to be pleasant within the room. It was then the man started to sing with the tune.

"Hey Fairy~" Prince sang, seeming to disappear in place to pop up right behind Trinity, slightly leaning over her with a carefree smile.

"Where you going? I'm trying to assemble all this light. I'll shine it down and make tomorrow bright!~" Prince sang as he twirled around Trinity, the tempo of his odd fiddle picking up as he danced about before his body disappeared and seemed to just pop up behind Nero, grinning ever so innocently.

"Oh Yea!~" The feline man suddenly sang before dancing away as he continued playing.

"Now do you hear the voices calling out your name?~" He sang as he danced around Nero, Ayame and Ariel before quickly zooming/dancing off again.

"Oh Yea!~" Prince sang as he sprang up from behind Lucas with a bright smile before resuming dancing.

"Because I lost my voice while doing the same!~" Prince sang as he danced away, tail flicking slightly as he moved along.

"Oh Yea!~" Prince sang, popping up from behind James, grinning as his red tail brushed against the armor clad man's side around the ear area before quickly dancing off and around him.

"I'll never quit until I feel your beating heart!~" The singing man sang, winking with his only good eye toward James before dancing off.

"Oh Yea! Oh Yea!~" The red haired man sang as he danced to the center of the room.

"The sun and moon have joined in celebration!~" Prince sang his fingers dancing against the fiddle before he disappeared once more, appearing above in the scaffolding beam. Lying down on his back as he continued to play. Soon rolling over so he was lying on his belly and looking down bellow.

"Have you forgotten their affiliation?~" he sang with a soft him before slowly standing.

"When you're not here to share your laughter with me... I just can't find my inspiration!~" Prince sang with a grin before falling backwards, his legs curving around the beam so they hooked over it as he hung upside down, continuing to play and sing.

"Now it's snowing,~" Prince sang before releasing his hold on the beam and simply falling down, but easily landing on his feet.

"Keep going,~" Prince chirped as he popped up behind Ariel, gingerly grinning before quickly dancing off. His movements so rapid and quick that it was probably difficult to keep up.

"Be honest.~" Prince sang, popping up beside Trinity once more.

"Keep smiling because we're approaching!~" The feline like man sang as danced backwards, hopping about and his feet moving elegantly.

"The clock keeps on ticking and it never stops!~" He sang as he danced about in a circle, as if imitating a clock.

"Hey Fairy, where you going? I'm trying to assemble all this light! I'll shine it down and make tomorrow bright!~" he sang, fingers dancing against his instrument as his movements continued before slightly slowing.

"Why? Why? Why?~ Prince hummed, eye closed before it suddenly snapped open at the last line.

"Don't say goodbye!~" He sang and abruptly stopped all movement as the song did before chuckling and twirling the instrument in his hands and stretched out the tall body.

"Ah that's always a nice warm up song." he chuckled.

Ariel
Listening to Nero list off his curses she tilted her head curiously. She had never heard of a mage that specialized in curses before. Some of them she had trouble thinking of a good opportunity to use them. But she was not well versed in magic herself anyway. Most of what she could do was as mysterious to her as any other magic. Nero's behavior was a little off as well from what she had seen, almost always smiling no matter the subject being discussed. The comment about the eyes being a good example. Her expression soured slightly for a brief moment just thinking about it.

It was then that he mentioned the wish thing again. That was probably what had interested her other self earlier, though it was hard to tell why. Giving it some thought though she shook her head. "I don't know if I have any wish you can grant. All I really want now is information on my parents past and maybe my magic. I haven't always had it you see and..."
Prince suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He had been singing but she hadn't been paying a whole lot of attention. But him popping out of nowhere gave her a start and she practically jumped out of her skin. The fear quickly gave way to anger and in a glint of fire she changed back to orange.

Ariel
Balling her hands into fists she took a swing at the feline but his prancing around caused her to miss with each stride. Deciding to quit before making herself look more like a fool. Grumbling to herself she crossed her arms. She never liked being scared and it ticked her off when someone did that. Under her breath she scoffer. "Freak."

Nero - Prince - Ariel

She angled her head seeing Nero being somewhat confused. Did she hit something she shouldn't have done. Or maybe Neros weird personality started to kick in again. People with glasses sure could make them look evil when they stand in the right kind of light. She stared at Nero for a moment not knowing what he was doing and just kind of started to ignore him and look at her new clothes again. There was still dirt and other stains on her body. Her hair hasn't been washed for a long time either, so it looked kind of dead. These clothes didn't fit her when she was still looking like she used to. Maybe she could fix it with some clean water from somewhere in the city like the fountain. Nobody would look there at night so she could easily take a dip in there.

All the time she was looking mindlessly at Nero. She had picked up some things that he was saying and started lightly clapping when he finished. Her head turned towards the place Nero was talking at and she saw Ariel from before standing there. But she looked different this time around. She was still standing on the same spot while her hands were still in a clapping position. Her mouth was slightly agape as she stared at Ariel. But she quickly jumped behind Nero his back. She waited for the two to finish talking and quietly started talking to Ariel "How comes your hair color is different?" She carefully looked at her and noticed something else "And your eyes too." She looked up at Nero "Did you do that maybe. You can change people right?" She was a little confused how the girl altered her whole appearance.

Her head slowly retreated back behind Nero as the tall cat man joined the tree of them particularly dancing and singing around them. However her attention went to Ariel who suddenly changed appearance. She felt a little scared at what was happening. First the freaky cat man and now the orange Ariel. Ariel tried to punch the cat man a few times which she didn't mind but she still wanted to hurt someone for just some dancing. Was she always this aggresive. Hopefully Nero was strong enough to hold a few punches other wise she would be screwed.

"I wouldn't have a problem with that if he weren't so-... well." She didn't need to say it, if this man knew Karn already. "And if you weren't so weird." She watched the man dance around her, standing relatively still as he did. He didn't seem particularly threatening, though. She sighed softly and decided to gift the man so gracing her hands with a smile. "Lest I be... obstinate, I must admit, you know how to charm." She gave him a little scratch between his ears, watching as he rose to his feet again.

"I only recently got to the city, myself. I met him on the outskirts of the city on the day I arrived, in fact. Poor guy fell in the river..."

But Prince mentioned song, which changed Trinity's attention. She looked to where he had been but instead found him standing above her. She leaned her head back to look at him, though he was already dancing around her. She couldn't help but smile softly, even as he danced away. With a measured breath, she conjures a harness and a pair of bongo drums onto her body. They're large bongos, and one rests on each hipe secured snugly, allowing her to dance while she plays along to to Prince's fiddle. When Prince comes behind her again, she spins to face him and dances slowly after him. She spins slowly in the center of his clock circle, letting herself follow his lead.

When the song concludes, she takes off the harness and goes to set the drums aside before she remembers she can just cast them into her inventory keep them safe with Requip. She isn't used to using her harnesses.

The musician approaches Prince, smiling. "It's always nice to meet a fellow musician. Where did you learn, or are you self-taught?" Self-taught musicians were always interesting. She calls a harp into hand and starts plucking its strings as she circles Princes.

Maybe she could talk this guy into coming with her? She could keep an eye on him while she went to investigate the news magazine in [that village]. But, before deciding any of this, she should really talk to the Master first. The task sounds like guild work, and on Damian's recommendation, she needs a team. But, she doesn't know who to bring. She's only been here for two days, and all the would-be candidates are... well, not here.

"Say, I'd love to show you around the city, and I know you're excited to see it, but I've actually got business I need to attend to, first. I've got to investigate a shady character who visited a nearby village recently. You wouldn't let me go alone, would you...?"

Nero – Guild Hall

At the first chords of Prince's song, Nero cringed as if if about to be struck. In the entirety of Fiore there existed only one wizard whose foolishness pleased Nero, and try as he might, this furry menace would not supplant him. “This is gonna suck.”

Immediately the singer made a beeline for Nero's group. The dark mage stiffened, dreading the prospect of the freakish feline touching him almost as much as the notion of this song continuing. Fortunately, after a few hemorrhage-inducing seconds, Prince zoomed off with uncanny speed. Nero realized that, in his tranquil, masked fury, the floor immediately beneath him had been converted completely into the same leather that constituted his shoes. Unconscious Law of Embodiment! Nice! And terrifying! his mind gushed, making Nero realize that Prince -particularly now that the archer girl from earlier had joined in- wasn't stopping anytime soon.

Instead, he focused on something else: Prince's soul. Not in a million years would a loose Law of Atavism be necessary to divine the shape of his spirit. How very catlike it was to be totally inconsiderate of others in the inexorable, unconquerable quest for self-indulgence. If anyone asked, but only then, Nero would gladly admit that he performed unwarranted acts that influenced the lives of others, but wasn't that, after all, what dark mages did? This fellow, despite his beastly aspect and unreal height, did not at all exude the vibe of a dark mage, so he had no excuse. Sure, Nero didn't like the guy, but regardless of his prejudice, making unrequested noise in a public place surely flouted common courtesy?

When it was over, however, Nero was glad to see he hadn't preemptively ruined his reputation in Phoenix Wing by accidentally cursing everyone. Moreover, it appeared that Ariel shared his sentiments exactly, for she had switched to her more aggressive persona and tried to plant a fist in Prince's face. Sudden, violent action was healthy for a budding spirit, and this Nero heartily condoned. He reasoned that Ariel flared more aggressively when clothed in orange because of the classic stereotype of fire. This logic Nero had come up with himself, which he knew meant it flimsy at best, but he had yet to stumble upon a fire wizard who didn't fit that fiery description. On a subtler level, Nero suspected that Ariel's passion, like her anger, spread more quickly in this state, and perhaps that was why that odd glint in her eyes had shown earlier.

After a refreshing groan, which must have looked odd with his smile, he answered Ayame's question without looking at her. "To answer your question, dearie, I can only do bigger physical changes right now. Once I stop being lazy about a new spell, I'll be able to do more...interesting details." After locating Ayame, an easy task since he now expected her to be behind him whenever possible, and giving her a reassuring smirk, he took a few steps over to Ariel and commiserated. “What a loudmouth! Even in a place like this there's gotta by a little privacy, right? It's only courteous!” He, paused, adjusted his glasses once again, and continued. “Incidentally, I think I might be able to help you with your request after all. Information on your past and your magic, hm?” Nero saw fit to remind her, in case she didn't remember from her forme change. “I have a super-cool spell that makes it so that you can remember stuff from when you were young. Anything you knew or remembered at the age of five. But you'll still have all of your lovely, squishy brains from right now. Think that might help?”

Ariel
She looked at Ayame for a moment without much of an expression. Leaning against the wall she waved a hand as if to wipe away the notion that Nero had done anything. "He didn't do anything. My hair and eyes used to be brown before I started being able to use magic. Part of it turned white and it just stays that way. For whatever reason my clothes always change too." Shrugging slightly and rolling her eyes she tried to remember what she'd said moments ago. "No. I haven't forgotten anything. I just don't know some things." Having changed back though she remembered what she wanted from earlier.

Stepping forward she glanced over her shoulder. "I do have a wish though. Earlier you removed Jamie's shadow. Do you think you could do that with my other personality? She's rather weak and just gets in my way." Her eyes looked like they could burn a hole right through a wall. She was serious and Nero may have misjudged the look from earlier.

Prince
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild
Interacting: Ariel, Trinity

Despite the obvious negative vibes coming from mainly the group of three, Prince kept grinning, almost like their attitude just amused him more. As Ariel changed into the color of flame and made to punch him, his elegant fast movements in his dance easily evaded her. His smile was still on, but his blue eye watched her and one could barily see his right hand zipping out to her punching hand, claws barely brushing against skin as if grabbing something. Yet there would be no pain or piercing of skin, just something like a fly landing on the skin before his hand zipped back and continued playing. Briefly putting the claws that had touched between his lips, as if eating something before continuing on his merry way.

As he finished, he happily smiled brightly at Trinity's words, quite pleased to see another musician. Most humans were quite simple, predictable, and gave in to their little emotional reactive minds so easily. It was always entertaining and dissappointing. Such a shame really. Quite lucky not to have died out by now. Fellow musicians however, were always a delight. Maybe because those of the creative side just had that odd quirk. Prince quite liked that quirk while others just rolled their eyes. Still, he didn't quite care what others thought, he just did what he liked. Those who gave him attention was just bonus, while those who don't were still quite lovely to look at and at times mess with.

"Ah indeed, the little kitten tends to be... Naive. Nice kid who can love just about everyone, but that can lead him into trouble as well. And he gets distracted easily." Prince mused as he responded to the mention of Karn earlier before chuckling, twirling the fiddle before it disappeared under his red coat.

"Self taught. I'm quite glad to meet a fellow artist of the trade. And one I assume that is non local of Fiore. Quite a rare sight. I'd always be eager to learn from your music." he grinned before humming at her words.

It was true he didn't really have nothing to do other then possible mess around with the Guildmembers or run about Magnolia, and it would be quite ungentlemanly like for him to allow a fair woman as her go all alone.

With a hum, the tall man tipped his hat and bowed a little, tail flicking. "I would be more than happy to accompany you on your little investigation. Though it seems not many actual Guildmembers are here, besides you, that devishly handsome knight over there and your fair GuildMaster. Will it be alright with Jamie to let you go with a freaky catman?" Prince cooed before standing up straight.

Having these ears, he could hear just about everything going about in the building, so Ariel's scoff didn't go unheard, but he merely laughed at it. He found it ironic, since all wizards were actually considered freaks, except by their own kind of course.

Alexi listened to Jamie's story intently. She had heard of the legends of course, everyone had. She had heard that magic had been taboo for a very long time. But she had never really believed the reason. She never believed, until it had happened to her, that magic could physically transform someone into a monster. Of course, now it was happening to her...

Alexi closed her eyes when Jamie mentioned that she should drink animal blood at least once a day to keep herself from losing control. She supposed it would be better than drinking human blood...she could live with that. She nodded and looked at Jamie, smiling. "Thank you, I'll be sure to do that...but what of my brother? I've been searching for him for four years now. Is there any way for you to help me search for him too? If I can at least get this information to him, than maybe he can be saved as well..."

Master Jamie

Master Jamie leaned back in his chair, as if seriously contemplating how to respond. He gave a soft sigh, and sad "We can search for your brother. If you give me a name, and description, I can have my contacts be on the watch for him."

Jamie didn't want to say that she should be prepared for the worse, that if her brother had been missing for four years, that he could have succumbed to the slayer magic, that he could even be dead. Jamie would keep hope alive, and would help her search. Closure was always needed, no matter what. ANd if her brother was out there, then Jamie would do what she could.

"I have contacts in just about all Fiore's cities and towns. And if it comes to it, we can easily begin a search of our own in person" Jamie said

Alexi nodded, content for the moment that at least Jamie was willing to look. She looked at the Guild Master and gave the description of her Brother, or from what she remembered from the last time she had seen him. Red hair like hers, steel grey eyes. Two years older than her, which would make him 21. He used Vampire Slayer like her, except his used Light Element. His name: Jonathan Minerva. As she spoke, she remembered her brother, the last time she had seen him. Had he been suffering? Had he been feeling the effects of the transformation, as she was now? And where was he now? Was it really too late for him?

When she was finished giving her description, something came to Alexi. When they had first gained their magic, they had talked about joining a Guild. It was more of a fantasy than anything else...but now, as Alexi sat there, having no where to go, no way to make money, she locked eyes with Jamie.

"Guild Master...I may be asking for much, but I have one more request. I know...I may become a burden. But please...let me join your Guild."

Master Jamie

Jamie took the description of Alexi's brother down, already prepared to contact those in towns and cities, and contemplating what to do, if it wasn't possible to save either Alexi, or her brother. it wasn't a good line of thought, and Jamie was glad to be jolted out of it as Alexi asked to join the guild.

He gave a soft laugh, "Well, I hardly think I would be able to help you, if you weren't a part of the guild, Dear child! Of course you may join" he said, looking to the written description again, appearing thoughtful. "hm. we have a few people who are good at drawing. Perhaps they could draw a likeness of your brother, which would certainly make it easier to find him. Well, Where would you like your guild mark, and in what colour?" Jamie asked, looking to Alexi with a smile

Alexi felt herself grow a little excited, but nervous, as Jamie agreed to let her join the guild. She had never been good with people, and she was sure it would take a while, but...she knew it would take a while, but she hoped things would work out in the end. When Jamie asked her about the Guild Mark, he had to think for a second, before smiling.

"Well...I think it would be appropriate if I had it on my neck. Maybe red in color." She giggled as she said it, knowing the irony in her statement, considering what she was. She looked at Jamie once more. "However, would it be possible to keep my...condition between us? Of course, if you have to tell others to help find my brother or a cure, I understand. But the fewer people that know, the better."

Master Jamie

Master Jamie smiled, and having grabbed the Guild Marker, took it out, "That sounds like a good mark" at the request to keep her 'condition' quite, Jamie nodded, "I can do that. However, I do believe I will have to tell the S class mages, just in case. And Jarvis, who you haven't met yet. He's in Edolas right now, but that's another story. jarvis is...well, its hard to describe exactly what Jarvis is to me and this guild" Jamie said, with a soft laugh.

"When I saw just in case, for the S class mages knowing, I mean if every possible thing or lead, or idea, or what I have is a bust. Which II consider highly unlikely. As I have several ideas and theories. And several books. ANd several sources. The S class Mages are Damian, Penny and Mayt. However, Penny and Mayt, I hope, are with Jarvis. And now I'm just going on. So. Your guild mark" Jamie smiled brightly, pressing the mark in ink, and holding it up.

"Don't worry. I'm sure my sources will give me good leads on your brother, and I'm sure it won't take long to find a cure"

Alexi touched the mark now on her neck, and felt a smile cross her face. She nodded at Jamie, standing up and bowing low. "Thank you so much, for everything." She said, before drawing her hood back up. While it covered most of her face, it did not the cover the smile she could not seem to hide. She felt lighter than she had in years, with a fresh hope that she would be free of this curse...and maybe even find her brother. She knew it was a long shot, but as long as she had this hope in her chest...she felt like she could do anything.

That was, until she found herself at Jamie's door. She realized now that she was a part of a Guild, which would also mean she would have to...interact with people. She took a deep breath, readying herself, and stepped outside.

Nero – Guild Hall

“Guhk!”

Nero gargled, the result of a gasp in surprise uttered halfway through a chuckle. Be it over-dramatization or real shock, he stood paralyzed for a second, affixed by the twin infernos searing within Ariel's eyes. Though unversed in the ways of young love, Nero was pretty sure that none of the star-crossed loves in the stories began with a death glare—at least, not one harsh enough to liquify ice. Hearing her request only deepened his disillusionment, and in the moments after Nero had to try especially hard to keep a straight face. He gave sharp sigh, just shy of a grunt, and breathed in deeply.

He had been foolish, foolish to think that there might be someone out there who'd have an interest for him. Though he had mentioned his looks to Trinity earlier as a self-detrimental joke, the words rang with a cutting truth, one only dulled through laughter. Nobody could look at him and see anything but a creep, and nobody would look at him if he didn't command their attention with his powers. This was why, Nero reflected, he preferred dealing with children. Aside from having easier wishes -to be taller, to be skinnier, to be better at magic for an upcoming stunt- they also tended to appreciate him more. Ayame brought out genuine joy in Nero by treating him with wonder; adults tended to treat him with disdain, even after receiving wishes. This was, Nero supposed, the fate of a dark mage. Oh well. If Ariel wanted to think of him as a monster, he might as well play the part.

Nero crossed his arms, his smile baring all of his teeth. “Tehee, I would like nothing better to try it! Thing is, Jamie kinda had a point. My magic's a lot like an orange without a peel...no, a sword without a handle. It's tough to grasp, and tough to use. Jamie's shadow was not the first time I tested the Law of Manifestation. Fourth, actually. Do you know how hard it is to make something inside you appear outside you? Pretty tough! And it gets harder the more complicated the thingie is. On my second test I stepped a little too far—tried to manifest a dude's courage. Turns out courage is a bright red, cloth headband. Who knew?” Nero laughed through his teeth. “Point is, that weak part of you probably represents a lot. If you cut a hundred things in half, you get fifty and fifty, if my Strychnine arithmetic serves me right, heehee. What's everything fire isn't? Supportive, trustworthy, intelligent, tactful...get the point? If you still want me to grant your wish, I'll do it but you've gotta get outta this guild for a minute. Jamie would try to stop me, the idealist.” Though on the brink of telling Ariel that trying to remove half of her personality would probably obliterate both halves, Nero bit his tongue. A genie seldom told people that his magic wasn't the answer they were looking for; that was something that wishers had to learn afterward. All wishes came with a price, whether Nero meant them to or not. The price for clothes had been the shape of a soul. The price for humiliating your foes was humiliation. The price for giving up so much of oneself was one's life, should the magic fail. These memories ran through Nero's mind. It's not about good or evil. Each action has an equal and opposite reaction. It's that easy.

~*~Amaya Vanisis~*~

Interacting with: Lucas

Amaya looked into the guild hall to see some feline type creature broke out into a song as she found that the wweridest site she had ever seen. she returned her action to lucas when he came back to her side. she lead him outside the guild. she leaned against the wall next to the door waiting for the carriage. She was taken by suprise at lucas's question of why she hides what kind of magic she knows...of why she doesnt like to reveal it. "My magic is one that caused A lot of damage a very long time ago when the mage Zefer, i think his name was, and the slayers...My magic is marked as evil because of them..it is feared and hated by those who remember...I can be hunted down and possibly killed if anyone finds out...I shouldn't have agreed to come along on this mission but i am willing to try to help...this is all I wish to speak of it unless you can figure out what my magic is."She said Seeing their carriage that held Nolan and Floe in it as she opened the door getting to one of the window seats for when her motion sickness was to start in. she already knew of this weakness and embrassing thing that happens everytime she rides on something that moves but she could never figure out why.
