Alexi listened to Jamie's story intently. She had heard of the legends of course, everyone had. She had heard that magic had been taboo for a very long time. But she had never really believed the reason. She never believed, until it had happened to her, that magic could physically transform someone into a monster. Of course, now it was happening to her...
Alexi closed her eyes when Jamie mentioned that she should drink animal blood at least once a day to keep herself from losing control. She supposed it would be better than drinking human blood...she could live with that. She nodded and looked at Jamie, smiling. "Thank you, I'll be sure to do that...but what of my brother? I've been searching for him for four years now. Is there any way for you to help me search for him too? If I can at least get this information to him, than maybe he can be saved as well..."
Master Jamie
Master Jamie leaned back in his chair, as if seriously contemplating how to respond. He gave a soft sigh, and sad
"We can search for your brother. If you give me a name, and description, I can have my contacts be on the watch for him."Jamie didn't want to say that she should be prepared for the worse, that if her brother had been missing for four years, that he could have succumbed to the slayer magic, that he could even be dead. Jamie would keep hope alive, and would help her search. Closure was always needed, no matter what. ANd if her brother was out there, then Jamie would do what she could.
"I have contacts in just about all Fiore's cities and towns. And if it comes to it, we can easily begin a search of our own in person" Jamie said
Alexi nodded, content for the moment that at least Jamie was willing to look. She looked at the Guild Master and gave the description of her Brother, or from what she remembered from the last time she had seen him. Red hair like hers, steel grey eyes. Two years older than her, which would make him 21. He used Vampire Slayer like her, except his used Light Element. His name: Jonathan Minerva. As she spoke, she remembered her brother, the last time she had seen him. Had he been suffering? Had he been feeling the effects of the transformation, as she was now? And where was he now? Was it really too late for him?
When she was finished giving her description, something came to Alexi. When they had first gained their magic, they had talked about joining a Guild. It was more of a fantasy than anything else...but now, as Alexi sat there, having no where to go, no way to make money, she locked eyes with Jamie.
"Guild Master...I may be asking for much, but I have one more request. I know...I may become a burden. But please...let me join your Guild."
Master Jamie
Jamie took the description of Alexi's brother down, already prepared to contact those in towns and cities, and contemplating what to do, if it wasn't possible to save either Alexi, or her brother. it wasn't a good line of thought, and Jamie was glad to be jolted out of it as Alexi asked to join the guild.
He gave a soft laugh,
"Well, I hardly think I would be able to help you, if you weren't a part of the guild, Dear child! Of course you may join" he said, looking to the written description again, appearing thoughtful.
"hm. we have a few people who are good at drawing. Perhaps they could draw a likeness of your brother, which would certainly make it easier to find him. Well, Where would you like your guild mark, and in what colour?" Jamie asked, looking to Alexi with a smile
Alexi felt herself grow a little excited, but nervous, as Jamie agreed to let her join the guild. She had never been good with people, and she was sure it would take a while, but...she knew it would take a while, but she hoped things would work out in the end. When Jamie asked her about the Guild Mark, he had to think for a second, before smiling.
"Well...I think it would be appropriate if I had it on my neck. Maybe red in color." She giggled as she said it, knowing the irony in her statement, considering what she was. She looked at Jamie once more. "However, would it be possible to keep my...condition between us? Of course, if you have to tell others to help find my brother or a cure, I understand. But the fewer people that know, the better."
Master Jamie
Master Jamie smiled, and having grabbed the Guild Marker, took it out,
"That sounds like a good mark" at the request to keep her 'condition' quite, Jamie nodded,
"I can do that. However, I do believe I will have to tell the S class mages, just in case. And Jarvis, who you haven't met yet. He's in Edolas right now, but that's another story. jarvis is...well, its hard to describe exactly what Jarvis is to me and this guild" Jamie said, with a soft laugh.
"When I saw just in case, for the S class mages knowing, I mean if every possible thing or lead, or idea, or what I have is a bust. Which II consider highly unlikely. As I have several ideas and theories. And several books. ANd several sources. The S class Mages are Damian, Penny and Mayt. However, Penny and Mayt, I hope, are with Jarvis. And now I'm just going on. So. Your guild mark" Jamie smiled brightly, pressing the mark in ink, and holding it up.
"Don't worry. I'm sure my sources will give me good leads on your brother, and I'm sure it won't take long to find a cure"Alexi touched the mark now on her neck, and felt a smile cross her face. She nodded at Jamie, standing up and bowing low. "Thank you so much, for everything." She said, before drawing her hood back up. While it covered most of her face, it did not the cover the smile she could not seem to hide. She felt lighter than she had in years, with a fresh hope that she would be free of this curse...and maybe even find her brother. She knew it was a long shot, but as long as she had this hope in her chest...she felt like she could do anything.
That was, until she found herself at Jamie's door. She realized now that she was a part of a Guild, which would also mean she would have to...interact with people. She took a deep breath, readying herself, and stepped outside.
