Estella wanted to get to her dorm as soon as possible. She had too much luggage and she hated doing too much manual labor. The least this school could have done is provide her a servant or bellboy or something to carry her stuff to her room. She was walking rather quickly and not really paying attention to where she was going. She suddenly bumped into a guy, wearing unfortunately shabby clothes, causing her to fall to the ground and get dirt on her WHITE jacket. She screamed, "OH MY GOODNESS! HOW DARE YOU! THIS JACKET IS PROBABLY WORTH MORE THAN EVERYTHING YOU OWN COMBINE!"

She could feel everyone there staring at them but she didn't care. "I'm not even going to ask you to pay for dry cleaning because you obviously cannot afford it," she scoffed. she got up and tried to assess the situation. "Oh, it's ruined for sure," she pouted. Then she glared at the boy with pure anger. "You have just ruined my debut! What are you going to do about this? Oh, I shouldn't expect much from someone like you. If you apologize nicely and beg on your knees, I might just grant you forgiveness." Then She got an idea. "You could have the honor of being my servant and carry my luggage to my room. Just make sure you're careful with it, it has a lot of valuables!"

"A few and yeah you're right, I doubt we would be here if we were run of the mill" Sarah replied "Can't let that go to our heads though or I doubt we'll be here long" she continued. It was then she heard a snide comment from another recruit and as she looked up she saw what appeared to be a fight about to start, but one of the teachers quickly stepped in. Listening to his speech made Sarah even more excited as she could not wait to get started.

Turning back to the girl she finished "Nice to meet you Ci, hope we're roommates" With that Sarah made her way through the crowd towards the building.

Finn hiked his duffel bag up farther on his shoulder and made is way up the steps. He was actually famished now that he thought about it, and he was excited for dinner. But he figured that he should probably get unpacked first, and maybe meet his roommate as well. He figured that it couldn't hurt to make a few friends around here. God knows that Principle kids aren't exactly popular with most of the other Grids.

As he reached his room he looked at the names on the door. "Finn and Logan. Hmmm," John said aloud, wondering if he had seen anyone that resembled a Logan but he couldn't necessarily place the name to any faces. He walked inside and then made a right, into his own room. He dropped the duffel bag down and sighed. He was there. But the moment of peace was short lived, as he quickly got to work unpacking all of his things. He made sure to keep his door open and was listening for his roommate so that he could introduce himself.

Paige turned her head at the sound of a screaming match, only to see one of the teachers break it up. The same teacher then went and explained everything they needed to know for their first night here. Chewing softly, she tried to pay attention to the information she was being given. She constantly had to remind herself that this wasn't a tour, this was the real deal. Picking up her bag, she waited for the first couple of people to head inside. She wasn't sure if there was gonna be a race to the rooms or not, and if there was going to be a stampede, she did not want to be involved. Just the thought of destroying her boots to go to bed, was enough to send a shiver down her spine.

She started heading into the building when she saw someone walking towards her. Normally, Paige wouldn't stop for anyone, but from the corner of her eye it looked like someone she knew. Turning her head, to get a better look, her eyes brightened and she smiled. "Nya!" Of course Nya would be here. Ever since her brother came, and became one of the best in his class, she had been itching to do the same. It would have been the biggest mistake of the century not letting Nya in, even worse than some of these people's fashion sense.

Hearing yet another scream, Paige turned her attention to the girl in the white--or what should have been white--jacket. "Oh, poor jacket." She said before reaching out to give Nya a hug. "I don't know why I didn't find you earlier. How have you been?"

Logan was not going to back down from some rich prick. He was not gonna be attacked by some asshole. Course before he could some respect into the guy the instructor stopped them. "I doubt the instructors will be there to save you next time, pretty boy." He said storming off. He had a chip on his shoulder as big as a boulder right now. He hated that he had to stop. He would have preferred to beat the hell out of this guy.

Logan stormed off towards his room. He saw his sign that said Finn as his roommate. He could tell this guy was one of the rich folks. Course he could not burn all the bridges that he could find. So he gave the guy a slight smile. "Uhh hey." He said as his Till accent showed like it always did. He scratched the back of his head. "I am guessing that you ain't a poor boy like me?" He asked still trying not to yell at this guy. He seemed like that other guy.

Alda grinned a little, very much appreciating the flirt: she'd have to stand still more often so that no one would notice her limp. She would have answered him earlier except for the fact that the hot guy from earlier got in a very short fight! Surely Derric would understand; she couldn't miss a moment of it. Although it was hard to hide her disappointment when an instructor broke them up before anyone could get a little bloody. She thought she could hear a faint threat from the Till boy, though, so she made a mental note to keep an eye on the two for entertainment's sake.

Finally she shook Derric's hand firmly, relieved to be talking to another person from Slight. She wasn't a huge fan of talking to anyone in particular, but everyone here...well, there were the rich, snotty kids, the attractive-but-clearly-unstable dude, and some girl who screamed over getting dirt on her jacket who Alda sincerely prayed would not be her roommate. "My name's Alda and I'm also from Slight."

Making her way through the crowd and into the building, Sarah quickly managed to find the trainees rooms. Checking doors she quickly found hers marked "Sarah and Citrine" smiling she thought to herself "Apparently I'm psychic as well" opening the door she took in what was to be her home for the next year and was pleasantly surprised.

She had been expecting a sparse military barracks style room was surprised to find that is was in fact separate rooms. Heading into her room she noticed the bed looked comfortable, the room was bright and the wardrobe contained what she expected but was a decent size. Deciding to get settled in she closed the door and unpacked the few things that she had bought from home and shutting the door. Leaning against the wardrobe she decided to wait for her new neighbour and thought about what the next year would bring. "Don't screw this up Sarah" she muttered to herself.

Finn looked up from his packing to see his roommate, a well built guy who, based off of the slight accent and the dirt on his hands, was from Till. Finn noted that this was the guy who'd tried to start a fight with one of the other recruits. This could be interesting. He sent Logan a welcoming grin, and extended his hand that, just like Logan's hands told everyone that he was from Till, John's clean hands, along with the gold ring that rested on his ring finger, told everyone he was from Principle.

"Oh, hi! I'm John. Uhhh I'm guessing you're Logan and to answer your question, most people wouldn't call me poor. Not that I think it matters that much, how much money you have. Granted I have a lot of it so I probably would think that, but my point is that I'm not poor. But someone I really respect once told me that money doesn't make someone any better on the inside. I'm sorry, I'm rambling a bit. To be quite honest, I'm a bit nervous," John said, punctuating his speech with a small chuckle. As he waited for his roomie to respond, John slowly chewed on his thumb, still anxious just from being in this tower.

Derric grinned as he watched the girls attention switch to the boy once againefore nodding and shaking her hand as well. "I figured you were from Slight. You've got that sorta' look about you." He admitted with a nod, not willing to explain to her how he truly knew. After that he glanced around to notice several people milling towards the building, and out of habit he held out his hand for her bag. "Looks like everyone's heading inside. Can I carry that for you?"

Colt glared after the guy but didn't proceed to attack him. He honestly did not want to get kicked out first day. He hitched his duffel bag up farther onto his shoulder and headed up to his room. He scanned over the names on the doors and finally found his... on the other side of the girl's from this morning. He chuckled under his breath and walked over to his room, tossing his duffel bag down on the ground in it. He set his duffel bag down on the bed and pulled out a picture frame looking at it. A wide, bright eyed young girl looked back at him, a large smile on her face. He was in the picture as well, his arm slung around her shoulder. He smiled and gently set it on the nightstand next to his bed before lurching up off the bed.

He walked back out into the hallway and saw that Dyana's door was open. He peered inside and saw her sitting crossed legged on the floor, going through some of her stuff. He rapped on the open door with his knuckles, looking down at her. "Hey, darling," he said, in a much more calm tone than this afternoon. "I'm glad I got you as a roommate rather than that big oaf from Till." He smiled down at her and rubbed the back of his neck self consciously. "I just came over to say hi." He quickly turned around and went back to his room, throwing the door open. He walked inside and let out a groan, throwing himself down onto the bed. Why did he have to be such an ass and an idiot?

@MatParker1711

Citrine nodded with a smile, watching the girl head inside. She shifted her bag on her shoulders and proceeded to follow her inside, but only after a couple minutes. She walked up to her room, spotting it with ease. She then noticed Sarah's name on the door next to hers and she smiled. She quickly went into her room, set down her bag, and walked through the adjoining door into Sarah's room. She saw her leaning up against a wardrobe and she smiled at her.

"Well, I guess we're neighbors," Citrine told her. "I'd rather have you than someone I hadn't met yet." She chuckled underneath her breath and added, "If you ever need to borrow clothes or makeup, you can always come to me. I mean, I might not have the best things, but it will do in a pinch." Citrine ran a hand through her black hair, a nervous habit she picked up.

"No, thank you. But it was kind of you to offer," replied Alda, picking up her single bag and slinging it around her shoulder. "You go find your room, and maybe we can sit together at dinner, yeah?" She smiled and headed off after the dispersing crowd, pleased to have apparently made a friend. Maybe. Sort of. "Let's hope neither of us are with anyone from Principle," she called over her shoulder before picking up the pace and going inside. Yeah. Let's hope.

After finding a room with her name on it, Alda rushed inside to discover that the room connected to hers was not yet occupied, although she'd caught a glimpse of the name "Estella" written on the door next to hers. That didn't sound good. Hopefully, hopefully it was a nice girl. Alda unpacked her things and tucked them carefully into her drawers, taking a few deep breaths. If it was a bad pairing, she could always just project herself away while pretending to sleep.

Tarvas carried his rather small lot of luggage in the general direction of his room. THe little engagement on the outside of the building was likely not going to be the last, so he kept to the sides of the hallways. When he walked towards his room, however, one of the rich girls went smack into his shoulder.

As she screamed at him for what she did, his first thought was to simply blow off this obviously mentally unstable psycho. However, when she started talking about carrying her luggage to her room, he felt an odd pull that went against all his impressions about her. He started to want to apologise, and to carry the luggage to her room. On the other hand… serving the society of pompous...

“Fine, I’ll carry the junk…” he muttered. He picked up the cases and followed her.

The ceiling begins to fade in as Lincoln's eyes reluctantly open. The heavy silence of the room isn't familiar to Lincoln. Growing up in Slight, there were always noises. The forest was a loud place. A peaceful place, yet loud. The constant sound of trees being cut, the trucks delivering the wood, the animals rioted.

Lincoln finally sat up, rubbing his eyes. He stared at the wall for a bit, not really thinking about anything. The wall became fascinating. Lincoln looked at the door that connected the two rooms. The door that might open to a new friendship, to a new beginning. Lincoln stood up, then sat back down. Stood up again, then sat back down again. He debated his thoughts in a back-and-forth soliloquy.

Lincoln finally made his decision, stood up, and made his way to the door. He stopped, right in front of it, staring at it. The soundless room left Lincoln thinking. He knocked on the door, "Um, hello? Paige?" No response. "My name is Lincoln, I am your neighbor. I just wanted-" Lincoln realized she wasn't there, but the door was oddly unlocked. He turned the knob but then released it, walked away and sat back down on his bed. "I need some fresh air." Lincoln suggested to himself. He got up, and left his room. He looked down both ways of the hallway, he saw some other recruits getting settled in and walking to their rooms. He recognized some faces from outside. He began to walk down the hallway towards the way downstairs.

Estella led him into the dorm building and found a door with her name next to it. "Well, thank you for bringing my stuff here. I guess just this once I will forgive you," she turned to him and said, flashing him a content smile. She knew that the reason why he did what she said was because of her powers, so she had to be nice. "I'm Estella Zaneux, don't forget, okay?" She debated whether or not to shake his hands and whether to ask for his name or not, but ultimately decided against it. "You may carry on now," she motioned him to leave. "Good bye, and once again thank you for your services."

As soon as she got inside her room, she removed the dirt jacket and sighed, "Daddy is not going to be happy knowing that the jacket I begged him to buy me got ruined after my first day of wearing it."

She noticed that her roommate was already there. If she recalled correctly, her name should be...Alda, according to the name plate. "Hello, I suppose I'm your new roommate," Estella greeted in a polite yet cold tone. "You are decent looking and are about as good as any person in this place..." she said, examining Alda. "Hm...As long as you don't get in my way, and I don't get into yours, I'm sure we'll be just fine."

Seril:
Seril followed quietly behind the rest of the students after the ordeal over who's junk was bigger. Seril wasn't brought down much by his peers, most of them seemed to be getting along great and he even wondered who would be his roommate. The last kid stepped out of a Focal Limo music blaring he was slipping on a shoe. Seril figured most of the kids from Focal would have a lot of luggage but this boy only had the button up shirt and pants he was wearing. Seril brought a backpack, he had thought he was under packing.

The group moved on and Seril went with them passing a boy carrying another recruits luggage in the Trainee halls. He heard the boy Logan introducing himself to his roommate and scoffed a bit at his questioning the boys poverty statues. Good thing Logan wasn't here to beat up the poor kids. He smiled to himself thinking that was pretty funny when he heard the other boy in the conflict mention Logan.

He read the name tag and gave one knock on the door. "Your names Cole then" he said his voice a little weak. "I just wanted to tell you that we ain't all like him. Logan I mean. Ya'll don't get the wrong impression from him is all, I'm sayin." He turned to go to his own room and realized it was the next door down. "Names Seril by the way looks like I'm your neighbor". He looked over to see who his roommate would be. He blushed a bit when he read the name. He didn't know it, but it definitely wasn't a masculine name. He just hoped Nyaleena wasn't rude like some of the girls he had noticed on the way in. Maybe rude isn't the word he was looking for. Oh yeah stuck up bitch. That's what he hoped she wasn't.

He got inside and locked the doors. He took a deep breath and next to him eyes closed there appeared two copies of him almost winding together out of nowhere like cloth. He tossed his backpack to one of them and he caught it already placing his stuff around the room. He then sat at the desk admiring the room for a moment. It was bigger than all the rooms at his house, even there living room. He picked one of the books on Guard training that was sitting on the desk "I knew I'd find something for you to do," he said tossing the book into his other clones hands as his eyes flicked open.

"Seril it's not good to talk to yourself." The one putting away the stuff said as the other plopped on the bed and opened a book. Serial turned around instantly. He didn't, know how many different copies he could make but they weren't always exact copies. Some of them where mindless dolls that Seril almost puppeteered around but others were almost like different versions of himself. Some were angry, some we're sad, others couldn't stop talking, and a few even tried to name themselves. They all knew that they were him, and he was them though, they didn't do anything he didn't know about. The talkative one flew back into him like thread detangeling?

"You got any input" he said to the one sitting on the bed. It shook its head and kept reading. Serial wouldn't know what was read until the clone was reabsorbed. Not that he couldn't it just gave you wicked headaches to focus that much. He turned to his clone and made sure everything in the room looked good before he left. No use wasting time, and he didn't want one of his copies to go to the dinner cause he never knew what could happen here.

Chess: Chess got out of the car slipping on his shoe. He chased after the rest of the group and caught up to them noticing he was the only one with no luggage. He was a Guard trainee now though, he didn't need anything else. He walked past everyone else not saying a word to the others and he quickly found his room not even looking at the name tag on the door next to his.

He saw one boy in a very ugly looking sweater walk by and he opened the door slipping in. He had a lot of planning to do. Everyone else here didn't seem to know what was at stake here. He'll maybe they didn't even have much at stake. But Chess knew he was gonna win no matter what, and if he didn't make any friends in the process, we'll he didn't need them after all then did he. He wouldn't mind having a friend though, he thought to himself looking at all the stuff in the room. He just hopped they would underestimate him in the end. The underdog always has the greatest victories.

He decided, he was gonna play it safe. But that meant not being himself and he wasn't sure how long he could act here. A whole year?

Nya stiffened slightly at Paige’s hug but quickly relaxed and embraced her. If she was going to form a group of allies, (a strong and tactical move) she’d need to start right away. By all appearances, Paige was going to be her best bet. Too many of the boys had hair trigger tempers and the girls seemed more concerned by what each other was wearing than by how they’re going to take down an enemy. She knew that would eventually change but thought a headstart was imperative. “I’m ok, I guess. I’m not really nervous. I hope we get rooms by each other if we can’t at least be roommates.” Nya made a bleak attempt at a smaile before she started to walk. Paige naturally stayed with her. They walked behind the majority of the group, casually chatting about how a couple of the boys looked like boys they went to school with and how they hoped the food was as good as its reputation said it was. They finally reached a set of rooms labeled Nyaleena Vega // Seril Flint . Nya glanced at Seril’s room through an open door but couldn’t see much from where she was standing. “I guess this is me,” she sighed. “I hope Seril turns out to be a badass. Or a total door mat. I can work with either.” She put on what she thought was a charming face. It felt mostly out of place and a little weak. Oh well, she thought, I can prove myself when the real work begins. “Uh, good luck with your roommate. Uh, Lincoln.” She pointed across the hallway to a sign labeled Paige Michaelson // Lincoln Fristen.

Paige walked to the rooms with Nya, discussing a multitude of things, none of which were extremely important. She knew Nya was definitely someone she wanted on her side. She gave the girl a fleeting smile and a small wave as she entered her room across the hall. The rooms weren't as depressing as she expected them to be. Of course, they could have been bigger, but she tried not to be too picky about the situation. Setting her bag down on the bed, she picked up the plastic bag that was sitting there. "Uniforms, of course. I get to look just as hideous as everyone else." With a sigh she tossed the bag into her wardrobe and started to unpack her things. She spit out the flavorless gum into a napkin and tossed it into the trash can before popping in a fresh piece. With a flop, she laid on her bed and stared up at the ceiling, imagining all the things the next day would hold.

Alda crossed her arms and looked the girl up and down. She looked...alright. Tolerable, hopefully, and hopefully avoidable as well. She nodded in agreement. "Yes," she agreed. "Pleasure to meet you." She fought to keep the doubt and cynicism out of her voice, for she could tell that Estella was unmistakably from Principle, and she didn't want to deal with being loudly judged for wearing her tops in the wrong style, or doing her makeup 'incorrectly' or something. This was the girl, she remembered, who she'd prayed she wouldn't end up with. Alda found herself wondering who she'd murdered in a past life to deserve this kind of punishment.

She nearly said something sarcastic about Estella's jacket but in the end she decided not to; there was no use making enemies here. "All I want right now is dinner," she said, trying to keep her tone friendly and conversational. She sat on her bed and let out the tiniest of sighs. Her leg was achey from walking up here, and it felt good to take the weight off of it.

Nya walked in to her room and did a brief survey before putting her things away. The rooms were standard for a Focal residence but were probably more elaborate than some of the other Grids had ever seen. Her surroundings weren't a drab military grey. Instead they were full of rich cremes, deep reds and vibrant yellows. The uniform on her bed stood out in a glaring contrast. Nya rather liked the uniforms. They weren't fashionable by any stretch of the imagination but they meant something to her. They were a symbol of pride and prestige; of bravery and...what was that? Nya listened intently. She heard a voice behind the door attached to her roommate's room. Guess he's in his room afterall. And he's with someone. She inched closer to the door and gave it a slight knock. "Um, hello?" she called out.
