Personality: Lawful good is the best description of Dane's personality. He has a very black and white view of the world. If he finds sufficient evidence to prove someone of a crime, he will act on this evidence and bring them to justice. This will only happen though when he is completely sure of the person's guilt. It's because of this that many of the people he meets on his travels do not trust him enough to share their more... colorful past.

Greatest Love: Bringing the evil of the world to justice.

Motivation: To save the innocents of Ebb and stop whatever is causing these disasters.

Fighting Style: Dane wields a one-handed long sword named God's Bane. He also uses Unyielding Aegis, a spell that can summon an ethereal shield that can be any type of shield that Dane sees the need of at the time; whether it be a tower shield, a round shield, a kite shield, a buckler, etc. This is the only spell he knows how to use, though. Besides his ability with a sword and shield, Dane has experience with most conventional Corundum weapons, but anything beyond that and he'll be hesitant to wield it.



Bio: Dane was born in the town of Graymore on the Lonely Island of Corundum. When he was young, his mother, Lydia Josin, would tell him stories of his father, Rhys Josin, who used to be the captain of the guard of Graymore, known as the Gray Watch. Before Dane was born, his father had received a tip that a large group of bandits were moving in to raid the town. Dane's father took his best watchmen and went to drive them off, little did the group know that the bandit party was much larger than originally rumored and the watchmen were soon overrun. One-by-one, the skilled guards fell to overwhelming numbers of bandits. When the dust settled, Dane's father was the only one still standing. He returned to town in time to say goodbye to his wife and unborn son, before dying to his wounds. This story inspired Dane to become as great a warrior as his father before him.

Dane's ultimate goal is to become powerful enough that he can single-handedly defeat Cormumag, the First Keeper and the Father of All Evil. He knows he's far from powerful enough to do that though, so he spends his days as a bounty hunter and mercenary, hunting down the criminals and monsters of Protea. Dane doesn't spend much time in one place and is used to traveling at a moments notice.

Personality: (I’m probably going to regret this) Ash has a pretty grim-dark personality, if you catch my meaning. Due to his tragic backstory, he doesn’t really trust people that much. He hardly speaks and doesn’t say anything unnecessary and he’s relatively unsociable. He also lacks direction so he’s a tad depressed.

Greatest love: Nothing really

Motivation: Nothing, maybe finding meaning in life. Most likely money

Fighting style: Ash’s fighting style is fast and versatile. He excels at stealthy takedowns but is a terror on the battlefield with his wide array of spells and adaptable fighting style. He uses a shortsword and dagger combo when in melee, exploiting weaknesses the best he can. He has a series of throwing knives for mid-ranged options. He can switch either dagger or shortsword for a cool one-handed tech crossbow, opening up the battlefield for long ranged combat. This is just what he has on hand, and he has more deadly weapons in a few safehouses here and there, hidden in case he knows he needs them. Besides weapons and skill, his magic arsenal isn’t anything to laugh at. His spells support his fighting style, providing distractions and covering his weak points. Good thing too, because he doesn’t have much for defense. Ash’s only real defensive defense move is parrying, and he usually doesn’t wear armour. He favours mobility over tankiness, and he covers the rest with magic and skill.




Appearance:

Like this but with bandages covering the bottom half of his face and his clothes are dark grey. There are also bandages on his arms and legs. He has bandages pretty much everywhere, really. He’s about 182 cm. Also add a brown cloak going over his clothes and stuff.

Personality: Riad seems like he thinks he floats through life with no trouble, almost always aloof, amused, energetic, and definitely not entirely sane. While he doesn’t trust anyone, he doesn’t have the inclination or thought to distrust them either, and so simply settles for never letting his life be placed in someone else’s hands intentionally. He can often be seen frolicking about in an odd manner, and trying to think of new ways to use his magic when he needs to sit still. He also has a habit of coming up with a definite opinion of someone almost immediately, sometimes before even meeting them, as to whether he likes or dislikes them. Those he likes almost never hear him cease talking when his attention turns to them, and those he dislikes he ignores, or replies in his own made-up language until they leave him alone. If alone in a room with a lot of people, he can be caught staring lengthily at an individual, chosen at random, in an odd manner.

Fighting Style: Riad relies heavily on his self-created “physical” illusion spells. Combining the four affinities he has tought himself,, Riad is capable of creating illusions that are practically real, including the ability to cause physical pain. Almost all of his illusions are of two affinities at least, most often Lux and Sensus, as those are what he finds to make the best two-affinity illusions, though they do not cast a shadow. He only has one conduit, which he made himself, and is simply a short whittled stick that emits a bright flash of light that can easily cause temporary blindness. If Riad is forced to resort to physical brutality, he will bite, claw, and kick without knowing pain or fear, and has surprising strength for his frame.

Bio: Riad was born, unfortunately, on Spinel, and was subjected to raw magic at a young age, warping him permanently. Ever since, he’s had stunted growth, especially pale skin, a sickly look, and an equally sick mind. It wasn’t until much later in his life that he theorized that this incident actually increased the amount of power he had. After he made a partial recovery from the magic warp, he began thoroughly enjoying skinning, stabbing, throwing, and breaking the bones of any small creatures unlucky enough to come within reach of him long enough to be caught. He fortunately didn’t take this idea to small people, but not everyone figured that out after meeting him, resulting in him once or twice nearly getting lynched.

Around the age of twelve, Riad became almost obsessed with magic, teaching himself with every bit of knowledge available in the town he was in. His first spell is the one he’s almost come to master, his “Flash Pain” spell. He enjoyed torturing both person and animal with this spell, eventually getting himself into positions where he was avoided as much as possible. Riad had no problem with this, as it gave him more time to collect ingredients and make more spells for himself. At one point he had tried to create his own language to create spells in, but he found it just simply did not work, though he could not determine why. He held on to the language however, though it hasn’t saved him much trouble.

Once he turned eighteen, Riad left his home with no warning and began wandering Spinel in hopes of learning more about magic, especially the kinds he already used. After just short of a decade of this, Riad stowed away on a boat to Chalcedony, and has never once considered returning to Spinel since. He has since acted as a wandering vagabond, sleeping where he can and doing some random odd-jobs when he needs more coin. His wanderings eventually led him to the city of Ebb, where he finally decided to settle down. He has yet to find a single place to live, and so wanders the town during the day and sleeps in high alleys and other places at night, when something else doesn’t come up.

Appearance: Standing at 5’3”, almost marshmallow colored, and physically looks to be just skin and bones, the only thing intimidating about this little man is the insane look in his eye.To anyone who has any familiarity with magic warp, it is clear both his body and mind have been affected by it to the point of it being incurable, but seemingly survivable, and the patches of green-blue scales on seemingly random places on his bodies don’t help him look any less sickly. His gait is very precise and quick, though his slouch is noticeable, and gives him a sense of animality and savagery.

His wardrobe comes entirely out of his backpack, and is only a couple of changes of long shirts and long pants. He always wears a belt, and typically hooked onto it as well as around his shoulder is a awkward looking bag that contains his travelling food and money. The only item that is clearly a personal affect is a bronze band that he wears on his left ring finger.

Haydrex also carries with him a small .32 revolver and a small .22 pistol that he carries in his sock. He is an exceedingly physically fast individual who can get himself quickly out of trouble.

Name: Aron ‘The Shark’ Aurum

Personality: Aron isn’t exactly a smart man. He’s rather flamboyant and outspoken and lets his emotions go pretty often. He’s rather upbeat and lighthearted, however. When he’s drunk, he’s about the same, with less balance. He’s kind of petty at times as well, and he likes laughing in most forms (including laughing evilly). The biggest thing about him, though, is the fact that he loves money. He wants a lot of money. He's a huge cheapskate, a cheat and doesn't like being stolen from. He can gain people's trust through a drink and some banter but don't be surprised if he makes you pay for it, and if you're wallet's gone, it'll be his fault. Basically, he's a reasonably cheerful rogue with a fab beard. He has a comedic outlook on life because he feels that it can't be much worse.

Greatest Love: Gold, gold, gold and gold. And maybe alcohol.

Motivation(s): Gold, gold, gold and gold. Wants to be a real pirate one day. Wants to steal the Ankou.

Fighting Style: Pirate fighting, even though he isn’t really a pirate! Dirty tactics, wild chops, all of that! Semi-skilled swordplay offset by whatever he found on the floor!

Pirate fighting is somewhat similar to bar fighting. Use whatever you have and some of what others have. Aron mixes semi-skilled swordplay with one-handed gunplay. He’s not a great marksman, but it won’t matter if their close enough. Aron’s kind of proficient in most one handed weapons and he’ll figure out a way to use any he isn’t proficient in. He’s pretty good with most firearms as well, and he knows how to fire a cannon.

With that said, his fighting style revolves around doing everything possible to win. Kicking sand, dirt, rocks, throwing rock, bottles, setting stuff on fire. It emphasises dodging over defence (as pirates don’t really wear armour). In constant life and death situations, Aron has learned how to live life on the edge. Think of something, he’ll probably use it. He also adds biting to his list of moves, and you’ll see why in a second.

He's got a steel sabre and a revolver, as well as bombs, cigars, a lighter and spare bullets. Also has some spare metal stuff for food.

Name: Malte Cerberus

Personality: Malte's desires and motivations come and go, resulting in a very impulsive person without a care in the world. He tends not to do things for very long as he "gets bored," and has no rhyme or reason as to why he decided to does the things he does. If some one actually manages to befriends him, they will probably soon regret it, as he enjoys dragging his friends along for whatever he decided to do, which tends to involve big explosions.

Greatest Love: Explosions

Motivation: He doesn't really know the word, and they change to often to write on down

Fighting Style: Malte enjoys a higher manapool then most other people, as luck would have it, so he naturally decides to use it on the most expensive and flashy spells possible, draining that manapool extremely quickly. This results in massive fireballs that explode into other fire balls being throne around the battlefield, soon followed by regret as the enemies attack him while he is in his inevitable burnout. Due to his personality, he is surprisingly good at group fights, able to keep track of multiple targets at once.

He also has a glave that he rarely uses.


Bio: Malte Cerberus was born on one of the more remote islands of agate, and as a child, tended to get the ocean and the sky confused (boulth are blue, and the one above him had waves....that's probably the ocean now that he thinks about it.) For the most part he lived alone with his family (he was the only child of his family...that he knows) so he did not know much of the world. Until a mage came to his cluster. The mage introduced him to magic, which he took a great liking to, burning up a forest island soon after (whops), and while the mage was never seen from again, malte want into a great session of study (which his parents where happy about. Finally he was doing something!) that lead him to discovering his new joy. Ignius and Fractius, the elements of explosives! The towns near by soon cut of the bridges leading to the islands that he preferred, and as soon as he was of age, he left his country to look for adventure, and most defenetly not because the whole village kicked him out. It was all his decision.

Personality: A Kleptomaniac that lives in the sewers of Ebb, and has a shrieking voice much like Gollum's from Lord of the Rings. He is generally mistrusting of all strangers that aren't parili, but is blindingly trustworthy to parili. It is worth noting that he has almost no sense of humor. Citizens of Ebb know him well, but many remember him not as a cursed man, but a monster.
Greatest Love: oddities and artifacts, magical or not.
Motivation: Cure himself
Fighting Style: Kep uses "the box." The box is a wooden chest that has a strap so it can be thrown over one's shoulder. Twenty times per month, the box can be opened and something will fly out of it. What sort of things? The possibilities are endless. Knives, pidgeons, gardening tools, roast beef sandwiches, you name it, it could come out of the box, however it is impossible to know what could be produced from the magical dimension. If Kep cant' use the projectile function of the box, he will either hit you with one of the interesting rocks that he has found, or just wrestle you. Kep can't take a hit, the dryer patches of his skin bruise easily, but he still can dodge around easily because of the more wet parts of his skin.
Because of his skin, Kep has a strong grip and can climb and grasp onto walls, to sneak up on attackers. He also very good at strangling people, as they struggle to release themselves in his grasp.
Kep used to know a few spells, but he has forgotten all of them.
Bio: Kep grew up in Ebb and, except for his skin, he lived a normal life and married an owl parili. However, his skin needed water, and despite the dampness of Ebb, his skin dried to quickly. He became dry and itchy, and his skin peeled off painfully. Eventually, it became painful, and he decided that he couldn't stand to be this way anymore. He decided that if injected DNA that was not his own into himself, he would no longer be so dry all the time. He used his wife's DNA, and he suffered from terrible results. First of all, he began to grow feathers on certain parts of his body. Next, he became even more like a salamander as he contracted Diparitis. He realized that he couldn' t live like this anymore, and to his wife's dismay, he left to go live in the sewers. The only thing he took with him was his research equipment and his collection of artifacts and oddities. His skin has since become better now that his skin is constantly exposed to the depths. It hurt for Kep to talk, so he never spoke to anyone during the past ten years he has spent in the sewers. His vocabulary is now very limited, and he has become a complete wreck who only cares about the cure and his artifacts. Sadly he has all but forgotten his wife.
Appearance: Kep looks like a giant orange salamander that walks on two legs. Kep also has large patches of his skin are so dry that they are white and will peel sometimes peel or fall off. He has a few light brown feathers on his chest, leg, and back. He is skinny and walks with a hunch.
