F)Improve Resources Technology:
The Saurians are discontent with stone. . . they fight amongst themselves in the very rare fight for a marriage or girlfriend, but they've noticed that most deaths are caused by unarmed combat or by using pin point accuracy against the eyes and then crushing of the skull, or some form of mangling. Their scales are very tough and difficult to scratch. So, the Saurians begin to search for better weapons. Eventually an ingenious Saurian discovers "bronze". . . a way to smelt copper and tin together.

X/E) Boats will go around the south while men on foot look from land, hoping to get some approximation of the number of trolls and what their primary source of food is.

A)Improve food As king Beridan meditated under the heart tree of Lilla Elunore one morning a glowing green apple fell into his lap from the white branches above. Staring in amazement for the heart bares no fruit he looked up to see seven more of these glowing green apple's. Slicing one of the apples open with his dagger he bowed to the tree."I understand goddess and I will obey" said King Beridan. For inside the apples was a abundance of glowing seeds."Glandur take these apples and as many of our kin and plant these seed, but be careful. Take your bows" said Beridan. Nodding his head Glandur acquired the seeds." I shale see it done my king

C/A) Now that they have access to more and better quality tools made from iron acquired from the mountains, the Genevites start to more intensely work the nearby woods and construct the beginnings of their settlement. They build a small pier to make the use and accommodation of the fishing boats easier and houses or shelters form around it. The land (presumably not a whole lot, but a man's gotta eat) now made clear from felling trees is used for low intensity agriculture.

F) The Saurians attempt to continue and improve their food supply. They realize they can't appease Tak with fruits or vegetables, but they discover and have domesticated other food. Peanuts. But in order to avoid snubbing their new dinosaur dragon god, they took five men, and five women, and they were his new sacrifice.

Farmers did not have domesticated animals suitable for agricultural work so they began to rely on manual tools. These were well adapted to the hilly terrain of the some nearby areas and to the limited-area platforms on which they could farm. In the small area that the Saurians called home, there was enough room to harvest at least a couple of crops. Adding bananas, the Saurians also domesticated peanuts for consumption.

Saurians realized that the old folk among them, the weak and the young had trouble fending for themselves. Rather than risk aggitating themselves into forcing the children or others to work, they developed tools to make agriculture easier work.

Main manual tools used include:
Chaki taklla,[3] an artificial-powered foot plough that consists of a wooden pole with a curved sharp point, made of stone. Across the end of this pole ran another wooden crossbar, on which the farmer could put his foot to sink it into the earth and produce a furrow.[4] This tool is still would be used for plowing, sowing, and building.[5]
Rawk'ana,[3] a hoe with a thin sheet of wood of chachakuma, no higher than 40 cm. It was used to harvest tubers, to remove weeds and to sow small seeds.
Waqtana, a Quechua term for a "clod buster"[6]

Goreu's ascent has been the subject of much talk ever since he left. The myriad Cewri are more than a little taken with his endeavor, and a few wish to go after him. The Council of Elders refuses to permit this. Instead, they have come to something of an inverse conclusion: the Cewri must seek beyond island they now call home.

"There is an entire continent to the south, it would be foolhardy to waste the opportunity that thus presents us with. This, the deliverance of Llyr himself!" Of course, they couldn't just walk there. They would need to build a way across, but boats were beyond their resources, so it was decided that rafts would be used. There are few trees on the island, and the time will come where those have run out. "Perhaps there might be a whole forest, on the continent, out out of view?" It was decided: rafts would be built, and the continent explored!

F) Improve Technology/Resources

The new thing felt good in Voltus' hand, it was made well and was balanced around the handle, a chip sharpened stone fastened to the top with twine. "What do you call this... Thing?" asked Voltus, lost for words as he twirled it in his fingers.

"I call it an Aks my liege, for no real reason." said Tooler, the man who made all the tools and weapons for the masses with his son, Toolerson. He was middle aged now and most of the tribe assumed that his innovating day was behind him but to everyone's surprise, he came up with the Aks. Voltus gave it one more flip in his hand before he hurled it, it tumbled through the air, end over end until it embedded itself in a dead orange tree. Voltus rose his eye brow and walked towards it, wrenching it out harshly to see the large notch it took out of the tree.

"It cuts wood.." he mumbled, inspecting the Aks, "I want 20."

"I'll be needing compensation sir, that's a tall task."

"Yes. Yes it is."

Tooler had done his job, twenty well crafted Akses were handed over to Voltus, who distributed them among some of his tribesmen. They rode along the coast to a forest and Voltus chose ten large oaks, "we will chop them down before sun set and the horses will drag them back to the village."

"I see no use in doing this, My liege." said a man, as he set about chopping down a tree with his partner.

"You will in time."

Yngvar Mountains
City State of Yngvar
Yngvaria, Hall of Honor
Yngviera 001

Hundreds of dwarves celebrate for the the competition of their yet small but soon to be great city, Yngvaria. It's been a little over a year since seven dwarven clans in seven ships decided to cross the oceans and discover their promised land of Yngvar. Their great city was made entirely within the caverns of Yngviberg, hidden from the peeking eyes. These cavern were almost entirely artificial, created by the blood and sweat of dutiful dwarves. That being said the caverns weren't just made out of convenience. The city is also leading for the lower levels where the dwarves dig their bottomless mines. The Yngvar Mountains are rich in iron and other worthwhile materials, it was a land gifted by the gods indeed. Yet not even dwarves could fill their stomach with mere rocks. Down in the valleys Clan Van Riktupp took the responsibility to provide most of the food. Hunters, gatherers and fishermen provided fresh food. The dwarves prepared plenty of supplies for their long journey. Yet no supply could last forever. To prevent this Clan Van Riktupp is already plowing up acres of land and plant seeds to keep feeding the dwarves for a long time.

F/I) Improve Technology/Resources + Diplomatic Action

The plains were plains for a reason, they were plain... and in hindsight, Voltus should have known that the numbers of trees available there would dwindle. Through out the course of some time, all the oaks within an appropriate range had been chopped and dragged back to the camp and in total there were 53 logs and many sturdy branches; Voltus saw this as an achievement yet he was certain that this wasn't enough, he'd need more.

Voltus stopped his thinking for a moment and turned his eyes away from the bitter river, someone had tapped his back and he looked into the eyes of one of the riders that helped chop and drag wood, "My liege," he began, resting his hand on the hilt of his Aks, "Our riders our ready and fresh horses have been chosen to drag logs back, we are set to go." Voltus nodded and patted the mans shoulder as he walked past, envisioning the grandiose nature of what he was to make of the pile of logs. Voltus did a final inspection of his men before mounting his steed, they were ready to go, their packs filled with bread and oranges, and their Akses sharpened.

They rode, to the north, away from the encampment and along the coast. Voltus, from memory, recalled that to the north of the steppe was a forest at the foot of the mountain closest to the shore and was confident that there were large oaks to be had there. Soon, when the sun rose from over the horizon and sat fully on the water, they arrived at the promised forest and just as Voltus had hoped, large oaks grew plentiful. He dismounted his horse and left it to graze in the grasses around the forest, not needing it for the time being. Voltus had chosen 10 dense oaks and had told his men to start chopping, however as his Aks hit the trunk of the tree, something small and sharp stuck him in the shoulder. He yelped and caught the attention of the men and women chopping down trees. Voltus reached around and felt the thin shaft of what ever had pierced his skin, he pulled it out and to his surprise he found that it was a small projectile, with a sharpened thorn as a head and a thin twig as a shaft, attached to the other end were tufts of tiny feathers.

As he was about to question the strange, tiny spear, another one struck him in the chest but he trailed where it same from and saw a rustle in the bushes. "Show yourself!" he barked and slowly rising from the bushes were creatures unlike any he had ever seen. They were small people, about the length of his forearm each; They were not stalky in their smallness but proportioned correctly, however this is where the similarity between people and them stopped. These small people were part bird, they came in vibrant colors, but mostly greeny-blues and purples; their heads had bird's beaks, thin and pointed like a hummingbird's and the tops of their heads where there should have been hair was feathers, curled and smoothed to look like hair. They had wings too, long for their bodies but beautiful none the less and their bodies were covered in clothes made of leaves.

The big people were outnumbered by the small small people, probably one to five and the little people had curved pieces of wood that flung spears at high speeds. One of the small bird people approached but kept her arm stretched and the spear shooter pulled way back, “how did you change from being four legged to two?” she tweeted.

“How did you form words through your beak?” Everyone chuckled and the bird people chirped in amusement.

“Why did you come to our lands?” she chirped, lowering her spear thrower but still holding it, ready to fire, “And why are you hurting the forest?”

Voltus loosened his grip on his Aks and pulled the tiny spear from his chest, “We came here seeking the flesh of trees.” he replied and held the tiny spear out to the girl bird-person who appeared to be the leader, she slowly fluttered towards him, cautiously and pulled her arrow form in-between his fingers.

“Well you can’t take it from the forest, it’s alive.” Voltus frowned and furrowed his brows, he could have easily killed them all and from the stiff nature of how she held her weapon, she was uneasy with the presence of bigger beings but he felt that violence would only cause more problems.

“Do you have dead trees? ones with no leaves?”

“Yes but why should we give them to you?” she drew her bow a bit more, “after you came upon our territory and harmed the forest.” Voltus thought for a moment and suddenly had an idea, he slowly slipped his hand into his pack and pulled out and orange. The bird lady backed away in horror. “How are you holding the sun!?” she shrieked, Voltus held out his hand in a gesture to calm her down.

“It isn’t the sun, it is food,” he said, peeling the orange and taking out a tiny piece for her and extending it to her, “try.” She fluttered over and kept contact with is eye, with a free hand she put the bow over her shoulder and the arrow back in its quiver. She reached forward and took the speck of fruit from his finger, and hefted it, as it was large in her hand. She brought it to her beak and pulled off a little bit and her eyes went wide, she gobbled it all and Voltus smiled, “That is not all we can offer, bird-woman, the Ventians are willing it cooperate with your kind if it means we can harvest the dead trees.”

She thought for a moment, weighing the remnant of the fruit in her hand as she did, more this would benefit her people a dozen of them could feed her tribe for 2 weeks, “what else can you offer us, Ventunarii?” she chirped.

“Protection.”

Soon the two groups had come to a conclusion and Voltus was being lead through the forest to the dead trees, the she-bird being their guide and the rest of the bird people hanging behind. After the trees were fell, and dragged to the edge of the forest, the she-bird approached Voltus, “What are you called, Ventunarii?” she asked, now completely use to his presence.

“Voltus Ventus, son of Trip Ventus.” The bird seemed to raise an eye brow and she mumbled.

“Son of Trip, you say… I am Finch, Trip’s son.” She paused, “When you return, if you choose to. You have much to learn.” She fluttered off and left Voltus staring at her tail feathers, seeking answers to the questions that screamed in his head but he decided that it was better if they were left for another time because after that, he was sure to meet Finch again.

Summery: A fledgling relation has been built between the Ventians and the Birdpeople, based on mutual trade and the prospect of protection from possible, larger creature.

A long lasting source of wood has been found.
