Gotta love a girl willing to dig out census reports to win an argument. That and tie her hands so she can't stab you with a fork during dinner. :P

Back to business, does this scream 'crazy serial rapist' to everyone, or 'recreational drug user'...
Ladies Man: Patch has a history of womanising although he tends to be discreet in his relations, playing off of his role as a nurse and aid worker rather than mentioning his less ethical activities. He has a habit of offering 'special medical supplies' to girls he's interested in, making sure they'll have a night to remember him by.

If you want to tie me up you'd better be buying me dinner first. :p

I think that last part begins to sound a little too creepy, but the idea of a nurse offering some club skank drugs sounds like something that would happen in real life.

Yah I second that. Patches went from slightly messed up Q to creep rather quick...
But I'm a shrieking pansy.

How about...
He has a habit of offering 'special medicinal supplies' to girls he's interested in, making sure they enjoy his company for as long as he's around.

Still messed up, but not quite as creepy?

I'm also going to make Patch into a functioning alcoholic. While this shouldn't affect his performance most of the time, it could make him into a liability if not kept stocked up.

Yikes, I go to sleep and all this happens.

Anyway, I'll be tweaking Keshik (Or Kheshig, to stick with the traditional spelling) when I get back from work. Main thing would be to drop his stealth specialization and replace it with gadgetry, thereby implying that he's not really all that patient enough to go 'full stealth' on a mission, if I may use video game terminology here. He'll make his way to generator rooms or server farms unnoticed, but after he gets an EMP in place, he'll light the place up.

I'll also guess that just because he's not an expert or master at something doesn't mean that he's completely useless at it.

@Skythikon In the words of the Great Man himself... Or the GM at least:

Choose two to have speciality in. Everything else you are assumed have basic knowledge/training in.

The way I understand it is that any of us could pick up a shotgun and firing it, but only a Master would be able to pick up a shotgun and clear an entire room of enemies while not touching any of their allies within sixty seconds, or some such miraculous stunt. :)

We could all sneak down a corridor and avoid guards, but a Master at Stealth would be able to walk in front of the guard, steal a pistol from his holster and shoot the guy in the head with it without his partner noticing. XD

@Skythikon We both had the same skill combination for our characters so I've switched Patch to a Medic with Athletic skills. This'll let him climb higher, run faster and generally be more evasive while also making sure the rest of you keep fighting fit (and supply the 'roids to the boys. :P)

Not quite that powerful, but I'd expect him to be able to steal a weapon or a keycard off of a patrolling guard without them noticing.

Similarly, I'd expect an Expert to be able to steal a keycard from an unsuspecting, distracted target, such as a guest at a party or a guard watching Condor walk towards them wearing a cocktail dress (any of us could steal a keycard from a guard watching Condor not wearing a cocktail dress, but we'd also have to try not to stare at her while doing it. :P)

Going back to the game, I mean the difference between a Resting target, an Agitated target and an Alerted target.

A Resting target would be anyone just going about their everyday life, with no concerns in the world. They wouldn't notice a Stealth Expert pickpocketing them, or picking a lock nearby or something similarly sneaky, but may become Alerted if an unskilled person tried to do the same thing.

An Agitated person would be a patrolling guard, or someone in a more attentive state who'd be looking out for trouble. They wouldn't notice a Stealth Master performing a dastardly act, but would be Alerted by an Expert or unskilled person trying to.

An Alerted person would be a guard chasing an intruder or engaged in combat. There's no chance even a Stealth Master would be able to pull off a sneaky feat while someone was actively watching them and even possibly shooting at them, unless someone else could somehow distract the Alerted person away (time to break out the cocktail dress, or lack thereof. )

@Dragonite777 Have you noticed that in all the time we've spent talking about this the mighty space warriors still haven't moved out of the goddamn lift? :P

I suppose a man in a cocktail dressmight stun them long enough for you to do what needs to be done, but surely there are other methods.

@Skythikon Well, the cocktail dress was meant for Condor's more womanly curves, but Patch does have the legs to pull it off.

Oh dear, on second thought I don't think I can join. I can't keep up!

I wouldn't worry, if the other RPs on this site are anything to go by the IC action will be a lot slower than the OOC banter. :)

Anywho. I'll start getting an IC intro post (and a character) together in the next few days.

@RomanAria We're looking for enough characters to cover each specialty twice, and as long as you choose a second which is different from Patch's Athletics then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Conversationalist, Pistols or Gadgetry would all be interesting second options for a medic, depending on exactly what kind of person you'd like to be playing as. Toughness would make sure you survived long enough to patch up your own wounds, and any of the other combat skills would make you into a very useful fire team partner.

@Genni I was thinking pistol as her weapon of choice and gadgetry as her "expert" rank; I couldn't pull "Conversationalist" off. She might be a bit unconventional, at least compared to the other "superspies" in the house, but I think she'll work. Just finishing up on her story now.
