"Well, alright." Ezekiel gave the guards that stayed a sideways glance before walking down the steps, towards the weight rack. "I will go next"

The large teen took down a standard bench-press bar, and walked uneasily to the front of the bleachers. "My name is Ezekiel," He said, looking at the others, "And I can bend metal more easily than normal.". To demonstrate, he lifted the bar to shoulder-height with outstretched arms, his chubby biceps bulging with hidden muscle. He strained his hands downwards to bend the bar in the middle, but nothing seemed to be happening. The bar was reacting to him as it would to a normal person - it was 3cm thick steel, and it wasn't going to budge for a mere human.

Ezekiel's expression became strained and confused. He gritted his teeth, tried again, for a longer moment this time, then exhaled with defeat. He looked at the bar as if it was an old friend who betrayed him in his hour of need. Then, realization hit him. He decided to put all of his cards on the table. If that wasn't good enough, they could just drag him to wherever they took the white-haired girl.

He grabbed the bar around the middle with both hands, holding it upright, his expression slowly becoming a pained one. Its upper end slowly moved away from him. Then, suddenly, he closed his eyes and hit himself in the forehead with the steel bar. There was a loud clang as the bar fell on the floor in front of Ezekiel, who fell on his butt. He rubbed his forehead, then reached out for the bar. His head was fine. The bar was bent at about a 10 degree angle near the top.

"It um, stops working when I don't eat metal, and I have been on a food-only diet for a week." He said, leaning heavily on the bar when he rose to his feet. He rubbed his face - even though his skin was fine, he felt like he slammed his head against a cathedral bell. He was going to pay for this trick later, but the doctor asked and he had to deliver. He returned the bar to the rack, awkwardly hanging it in a lopsided position. "It will return to normal in a few moments"

Felice narrowed his eyes slightly as the next boy stood up to demonstrate, recognizing him as the same one who interfered before in the cafeteria. He watched fairly silently, not wanting to draw any attention to himself for once like the few involved in the fire had done just before. He was already on thin ice as it was, and he needed to either alter his current deal or strike another before the end of the day. He would probably have a better chance if he tried to keep his head down somewhat for the time being, as much as he hated it.

"Thank you Ezekiel." Vlad wasn't too worried about the damaged to the bar. He knew that the thing would go back to normal soon enough. Otherwise he could have the boy fix it later. "Who is left?"

Elizabeth raised her hand "I'll go, but you got a deck?" She got down "Or at least a card? Else this is going to be pretty awkward just standing here with no way of demonstrating"

Vlad snapped his fingers. One of the guards reluctantly pulled out a deck of cards. He handed Elizabeth four of them."Don't get carried way."

Flippy thought that the boy named Ezekiel had a pretty interesting power. Flippy just hoped that soon everyone would be done and they could move on with the rest of the day. Shortly after Ezekiel a girl stood up and said she would go next, but asked for a deck of cards and Flippy knew he had a feeling that her power had to be card manipulation. Which he read in some comic book he once found on the street it was a good comic as well about some gambling man who had the power to manipulate cards, and he worked for a gang which allowed him to rig card games so he would win the money and the gang would win the money from anyone who placed bets. "That was a good comic." Flippy said to himself.

Shuffling footsteps echoed through the corridor as a group of guards filed into the dining hall to contain 221. "Get Wraith under control!" Shouted one as they took up formation around the burning humanoid bouncing off the ceilings and tables. Food and shattered plates were sent flying into air like confetti, bouncing off riot shields and helmets. It was only a matter of moments before the guards managed to surround 221. With a signal and a nod from one to another, a small device was brought to light in one of the guards palms fitted with a few knobs and buttons. The blinking light barely visible on 221's collar seemed to be synchronized with lights on the device, and began blinking rapidly as a knob was adjusted. A bolt of energy surged from the collar through 221's body, arcing through the flames, and just like that the fire diminished leaving a dazed and nude man stumbling between the tables.

There was a loud ringing in 221's ears and a haze of blur across his vision as he grasped his head and collapsed to one knee. Rubbing his head, he looked up and saw dark shapes in the white blur of white, encroaching on him. The ringing began to fade and he could hear muffled voices shouting and repeating. After a few more moments, the jumble began to become clear. "-and put your hands over your head! Once again! Wraith! Lay on the ground, face down, and put your hands over your head! This is your final warning!" 221 shook the haze away and the dark silhouettes became the squad of guards armed with riot shields and taser shotguns. It had been quite a while since he last saw this display but he knew what it meant and calmly obeyed, his expression once again blank. With 221 rendered docile once again, the guards quickly and cautiously moved in, pulling his arms to his back and tying a series of super resilient zip ties. Pulling him to his feet and wrapping a sheet around him, the guards quickly escorted 221 to the infirmary to be examined and clothed.

Fox stared at the display she was bored out of her mind. and For once though that fire wasn't going to ease the boredom away. So Fox went onto wrap and rewrap her hands. She wasn't fire proof yet, flammable her human body was. As why flames other than her own harmed her. In the case of her hands, that was a experiment.

"I'll do my best not to" She took the cards and first let them hover around her, then made one orbit her. But she quickly took hold of that orbiting card after it did one orbit, and slotted it between her index and middle finger. She quickly tossed it into the ground where it embedded itself. Elizabeth bent down and pulled it out, it looked slightly damaged, one of the corners had crumpled. "I can manipulate cards if it wasn't obvious" She did a bow "And the names Elizabeth."

Once Elizabeth was done with her little demonstration, she grabbed the cards and handed them back to Vlad. Then sat back down.

"Anyone volunteers? Or do I need to start chosing people?" Vlad asked them. They were nearly done. He needed to decide what to do with them next. There were many options. He needed to get them o see each other as companions and team mates. He needed to prove that criminals were the perfect tools for his experiment,

"Alright children. Now that you all know what special abilities you have it is time to learn to work together. We are going to have a schedule. But atleast once a week we will have an activity day. Today I have decided to start with a treasure hunt. If you don't work as a team you don't get the prize."Vlad explained. [color-9e0b0f]"Cooperate and you will be reward. Anyone who doesn't pull their weight will be punished."[/color]

Angel smiled as she heard the offer of a reward for a treasure hunt. She had managed to remain low-key for the entire demonstration which she thought displayed her abilities in a better way than any physical confrontation. Angel was a heavy weapons specialist and that meant keeping down till her team needed the support.

While the scientist's words were sinking in, Ezekiel took the opportunity to look around the gym. It was less crowded than the lounge where they met Vlad, but that might be because of the presence of security - there were only two guards in the gym, the rest within earshot.

The "Team" would consist of himself, the shadow girl, the fire girl, the card girl, the strange blood dude, the yelling french guy, and another girl he thought looked familiar from the lounge but did not speak up. That strange empty-eyed soldier might also have a part in this, but he also could've been a guard with powers (Were those really powers? Or did he simply like being on fire?). He had no idea who these people were and how to work with them. And he also had no idea what was expected of him, and already there was promise of punishment. How was this fair?

He made a mental effort to shake off the feeling of school. He was in prison. This was survival. The doc did not owe him anything - and if he had any alternative to sitting on a bench for 15 years, Ezekiel will grab it with both hands.

But first thing's first. He raised a hand. "Is it a competition?"

Roxy sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Great a team building assignment with a prize. That should work well, she thought sarcastically as she looked over the group. She wondered who would fall for this. Most of the people here were criminals. Which meant that they wouldnt work well with others. Most of them had probably never worked as a team. She wander what the punishment would be. It might be worth finding out.

Flippy was excited they get to do an activity day, but he first raised his hand "What are we looking for exactly?" he asked. This seemed like a great idea to Flippy first they introduce themselves and then work as a team to find something. He could hardly wait for the scavenger hunt to begin.

Angel thought about a hunt and it caused the predatory side of her nature to salivate in anticipation. If what ever they hunted had a scent she had a couple of forms that were good trackers. If the target. She calmed herself by remembering that often things didn't fit so nicely or well and that she could overcome those limitations by using her brain.

Felice didn't even bother responding; he knew that this couldn't possibly end well. Still, if there was a way to get anything out of this, perhaps it would be a good idea to listen carefully to the instructions. This could be his chance to change things at least a little.

Not that he trusted the man to actually give them that much of a 'reward', but maybe there was still a possibility somewhere in there. He just had to try.

" Okay Dr. What ever you say." Fox said half sarcastically. This was going to go well wasn't it. At least someone here she could semi tollerate, and that was because the man didn't say anything. Either way a reward would be nice, a new lighter/pack of smokes would be good. Ciggertes make good tinders for flames.

"I will give you a map. You will have until midnight to find the item. You will work together or you will lose. The first clue is the map is in a room filled with knowledge written in black."Vlad told them.
