@lydyn are you okay with immortal characters or characters becoming immortal? Or some other form related to that?

I'm less inclined to approve something like that. I can possibly reason our characters tie to Deep Magic prolonging their lives, but immortal? Not so much... feel free to pitch a more detail idea though either here or in PM if you think that more detail might convince me otherwise! ^.^

In light of @Knight of Doom's character concept, I feel I should get approval for my own. Especially since I feel it's similar but slightly darker.

I was thinking of a sort of thief and/or smuggler type. A tough chick type of antihero. Criminal/Mercenary facade. Noble savage ethics. Rough edges that get rougher around authority figures, nobility and polite society. Generally decent, but might pick your pockets at random.

Hmmmm... I'm not against you trying, certainly, but Knight of Doom has a character that displays tough love, which to me is wholly different than immoral enough to just steal people's things. Not to say it couldn't work, hence why I'm not against you trying, but I'll be examining her more closely chances are.

Since I'm getting a lot of character creation questions, on top of some definite interests, I may put an OOC up sometime today (may be in the middle of 3 AM for USA people). I'm definitely going to have to flesh out some more lore and stuff for you guys though. ^.^

Hmmmm. I think I'll go with a hunter type character who dabbles in alchemy and stuff like that.

Personality wise, he's going to be pretty much decent, if a little bit arrogant and self-important. I'll be fleshing it out as things develop.

Ah, religions, yes! There will be a list of gods. They are sort of important to the plot of the RP, but I imagine most characters might not worship any of them. It's certainly not a requirement. Though religions will be far less formal than our world. ^.^

@lydyn Could hero's have patron gods whom they pray to and the god of their choice (I'm assuming you'd take on the role of deciding which prayer is answered and which is not) and conquest treasures in their name? Oh, oh, and like what if it was a bit like some Greek mythology where gods would have like favorite hero's (even though they didn't worship them, like how Hero loved Jason the most out of all heros) and possibly aid them in times of need? Or gods who hated mortals because they angered them? (Like how Odysseus angered Poseidon)

Also he may seem cold on the outside, but I want him to be really sweet on the inside. Ya know, the that plays with kittens (maybe not that clique). Just something along those lines. (If your comparing characters to mine).

I have my own plan for the gods. ^.^ However generally speaking, they don't appear directly or in any obvious manner. Something might happen, like a stroke of luck you might thank one of them for, but there's no actual proof it's their doing. Of course, that's generally speaking, so sometimes they do appear in a more defined, specific way - which is why most people in general agree that gods do exist, whether they worship them or not.

In that case, yeah, you may need to be careful. When I listed assassins, I was thinking more along the lines of a retired one or perhaps a royal order that kills evil people when they must for the greater good. Not the traditional sense, haha... but don't be afraid to post his CS up anyways.

Btw - I'm watching an episode of Law & Order. Once it's done, I'll start on OOC stuffs.

Feel free to make a character. Not all concepts may fit and who knows - some of the individuals may not even make a CS at all, despite showing interest. ^^

Hmm I was thinking about something like an oathbound Kensai, perhaps one who was bound to a lord (or other some such person) who is ether against the Cleric/Paladin's alignment or is using them in some way, but do to the oath the Kensai cant do much to stop them? I could also twist the character into a Cleric or a Paladin fairly easily if it fits better.

Not sure how well Samurai / Kensai would fit into this setting. We'd need a kingdom that somehow developed that culture against everyone else. You'd have to pull that off first probably, haha... as for being a cleric or paladin, I'm sure you can have fun with the gods, though clerics and paladins might not exist the same way as you might think. That is quite alright. To be quite honest I was mainly going for the DnD 3.5 "Complete Warrior" Kensai, but since I cant find any good online things for it I was going to default to the Paladin thought.
