Emerald - Leaving Ozpin's Office

As soon as Ozpin had dismissed her, the green eyed Cat Faunus had darted out of the room, looking around the school with excitement and wonder. She was here! She’d made it! To Beacon! Her tail flicked in random directions as she began to wander down the hallway rather aimlessly, only stopping if she noticed something interesting, like a butterfly! Ozpin was right about there not being a lot of people today, she had yet to run into anyone!

She realised she’d forgotten to ask about that tour guide...Sarina something. She bit her lip and pouted. Ah well, she could always explore on her own! Maybe she’d run into some potential new friends!

Her heart was thumping loudly in her chest, like it had been most of the day. She was just so thrilled to be in what she considered the best school for hunters and huntresses there was! Her ecstasy was almost too much really. She had to do something, before her heart burst!

So Emerald did. She started to run, sprinting with complete abandon down the halls the school. She figured it was the easiest way to see as much of the school as she could as quickly as possible.

...

About three minutes later, Emerald came to a crawl, collapsing the ground as she finally caught her breath. She lay on her back, looking up at the sky as she took labored breaths.

“Well...that was...fun…” She lazily looked around...she had absolutely no idea where she was.

Gratia and Napoli - Ozpin's Office

Throughout Ozpin's entire speech, the Hunter in training known as Napoli had a large grin plastered across his face. He tried to pay attention, he really did, but all he could focus on right now was the sheer amount of fun and adventure that awaited him. The promise of a new school, the opportunity to meet new people, to go on new adventures, it all left shaking with anticipation and excitement. The only thing that could improve this situation would be if the rest of the team had been here. The two of them had to go and procrastinate the paper work.

And now he was left with her.

Whatever, that wasn't a primary concern for now, with any degree of luck she would keep her mouth shut and he'd have a degree of peace as he explored his new suroundings.

"Take a tour of our academy and get to know the place; if you like, I'll send for Sarina Tala Dei, one of our seniors who often helps the freshmen," Napoli caught the headmaster's advice as he slid some scrolls across to the three of them.

Napoli was instantly captured by his newly-earned tablet device, already wondering whether he could get some games installed on the system. For the most part it was similar to the one he had recieved at Haven, but still the whole thing was pretty darn cool. Napoli merely nodded along as he heard the headmaster mutter something about special favours.

Wait, he was done talking.

However before Napoli had the opportunity to ask a single question or thank the headmaster, the other girl in the room sprinted out. Evidently she was rather high spirited, it seemed she was at least as excited as Napoli was for all this. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

Turning his attention back to the headmaster, Napoli bowed in thanks, "Thanks for everything boss, and I'd definitely appreciate a Sarina Dei tour. Get it day tour, Sarina Dei. That was a good one right."

It instantly produced a reaction, though not one that he had likely wanted.

"Your jokes are shi-shameful."

Oh right, she's here, Napoli sighed, "Slip of the tongue there?"

"Fu-Screw you Fiordilatte."

"Professor, I'm being bullied."

Though the long-haired girl seemed relatively composed on the surface, closer examination would reveal that her onyx eyes were twitching rapidly, as if she was barely holding in the need to lash out at her "compatriot" with copious amounts of vulgarity. Really, if she hadn't been standing in front of one of the most powerful men in the entirety of Remnant, Napoli would likely have been on the receiving end of an earful so rude that his grandmami would have died of a heart attack. Again.

For now though, it was best to ignore her urge to punch the blonde in the face and instead focus all her attentions upon Professor Ozpin. It was best not to make their first impression worse than it already was.

"Sorry professor, she's a bit of a bitch," Napoli replied before Gratia could open her mouth.

Her teeth grinded against each other. Gratia refused to explode. One of the top men in all of Remnant was right in front of her. Top. Men. She was not going to fuck this up. Not. Going. To fuck this up. Fists clenched, the haughty Hunter bit out her response.

"I must ... apologise ... for my ... acquaintance's ... immaturity ... sir," she managed, clearly attempting to ignore Napoli. "We will be ... extremely greatful ... if this Ms. Sarina Tala Dei ... could assist us ... in finding our bearings."

She needed to be professional. Professional. Serious. Everything irked her. Napoli. Wasting time in this office. Needing to rely on some teaching assistant to see them around. It all irked at her. It was irksome. Irking.

"Hey, what do you know, she's being polite. You really are a miracle worker professor."

Gratia was not going to fuck this up.

She was not going to ruin the Professor's impression of them ... her.

She was not going to punch Napoli Fiordilatte in the face.

She was not going to stab the fucking cheese-eater.

"Although what was with her speech, I ... am ... very ... happy ... but ... I ... can't ... talk ... with ... out ... pausing ... after ... each ... word. Man, that dragged on didn't it."

"Fiordilatte. Shut up."

She was this close to exploding. If the irksome fool did not shut the fuck up she would stab him right here and now, consequences be damned.

"That's the spirit, no pauses this time. I'm so proud of you. Our little girl, all grown up."

That was it.

Her eyes narrowed.

"Please send her our way as soon as possible," she ground out, barely repressed anger evident in her tone.

Then she promptly grabbed Napoli by the collar and forcefully dragged him out of the office.

"ZERO TOLERANCE!"

Diamond Frost - Convoy Escort Bug spray duty

The thief got the buzz that something wasn’t going exactly right when the loud gunfire came to a halt, followed by the roar of engines. They better not left her behind or whens he gets out of here heads were gonna roll! Enough negative thoughts, mission at hand!

She moved along the thinner alleys, moving swiftly towards where she thought the jammer could be. that was when she ran into the first guard. Unfortunately for him, he already passed the exit and a swift chop to the back of his head knocked him out cold. Diamond dragged him into the alley, relieved him of his sidearm and a vial of red dust before unceremoniously hiding his body in a nearby dumpster.

Now she had to cross a patch of open ground, nothing she was looking forward to. spending a few dozens of seconds observing the guard’s patterns,s he picked the right moment and stormed over, hiding behind a bunch of crates.

She finally got close to the transmitter, when she ran face first into another guard. Both of them levelled their guns at each other’s face, staring eye to an eye. Out from the corner of her vision, Diamond could see Oswald coming in disarmed and waving his hands. The heck was going on? Nevermind, maybe he can get that gun out of her face.

Sapphire Rode - Shelter Lab

He was a fool, a complete and utter fool. True Sapphire was looking at the worst possible scenario, it was possible that this would spiral out as nothing more than a medical procedure for those who were unable to live with their heritage for whatever reason. However that sort of thinking was naive to the point of idiocy. [color=0054a6]"And you act as if faunus are universally loved. Sure there are humans that are not at odds with faunus. I don't personally have anything against them, there are two on my team in fact, but there are enough people in power that want nothing more than there eradication or at the very least removal from the lives of normal humans."[color=0054a6]

"I will admit that this could be a very good thing if used properly but since when has any invention with the potential to cause damage not been used as such. Don't you remember the dust reactor technology fifty years back?" It had been a disaster, the reactors had been intended to provide clean efficient power for entire kingdoms but instead had been co'opted by the Atlas military and turned into devastating explosives. "Whole sectors whipped out, so saturated with raw volatile dust that the slightest spark could set it ablaze. Places that won't be habitable again for a hundred years. I'm sure the director of that project thought when he started that there was no way he would ever let something like that happen. You're delusion is that if you release this to the world you will retain any semblance of control over it. If someone really wanted to steal your research to be used in defensive measures against faunus you wouldn't be able to stop them. All they'd need is some of the liquid from that vial over there." Sapphire said nodding at the glowing red liquid they'd been attempting to inject into the coyote girl.

"Who knows, depending on the chemical makeup a skilled scientist might even be able to reverse engineer it from the blood of one of your patients. The point is any control you think you have over this project vanishes the moment you tell the world. This procedure could easily do a great amount of good, yet the potential it has to destroy far outweighs the benefits it may produce."

That was when Pop turned the conversation on its head, examining Sapphire, her demeanor, her views, her life. At the mention that her family may have happened to her Sapphire's jaw twitched slightly. She'd gotten very adept at lying about her childhood that having someone throw it in her face like that with such certainty was like a bucket of ice water soaking her skin. Despite that Sapphire kept her face impassive. She didn't want it to give anything away.

A little voice in the back of her head began to whisper to her. Was it this obvious to everyone? Did everyone know? Was she telegraphing her past to anyone that spoke to her? No, she silenced the voice, it couldn't be or more people would ask questions, people would ask her father questions and after he'd deflected them he'd come and ask her some of his own. No it must be because this was a medical man. He was accustomed to the way people dealt with different kinds of pain and though not a student of psychology (as far as she was aware) reading people likely came with the territory. Besides he didn't have any definitive answers just a general idea for which no confirmation had been given.

As he spoke Pop had been moving slightly maneuvering Sapphire into a corner. He proclaimed that she would lose this fight and his aura flared softly red. The glow, the words, the fear. It dragged something out of the recesses of Sapphire's mind. "You will lose but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Everything is a learning experiences, if you don't learn you're doomed to repeat and you can't afford to repeat mistakes, mistakes get you killed if they're the wrong ones. Now tell me Jewel, how do you get out of a corner?"

It was the red glow of aura that brought the memory to the surface. Still lost in the moment and filled with an unquantifiable fear that did not fit the situation Sapphire grabbed the nearest weapon to her, a scalpel from the operating board and with all the force she could muster plunged it into Pop's shoulder. Without waiting for a reaction she pushed her legs off against one of the operating tables. As she leapt up Sapphire used Pop's shoulder as a springboard to clear the hulk of bear faunus.

She hit the ground on her feet but her forward momentum prevented her from standing. Instead she turned the uncontrolled fall into a roll, spinning as she did so. She came up with one knee on the ground and the barrel of her polearm pointing directly at Pop. "I don't like being backed into a corner." She said, her eyes cold and dark. It was possible that this could have come to a peaceful solution but Pop's altruistic holier than thou attitude and his determination that this should come to blows had quashed that possibility.

Unfortunately, before the girls could get much of a word in about themselves, a sliver of chaos wriggled their way. Scurrying at frightening speed from the section of the Shelter underground now plagued by released auratic animals, an unkempt brownish-gray streak made a beeline for Shiro, Coral, and Millicent the squirrel, ignoring any distractions on its direct route. Upon nearing its destination, the streak resolved itself into the shape of an otter-sized, weaselly creature, with a bullet-shaped head, a long body, and a thick, scruffy fur coat: a ferret. Even by ferret standards, the thing was ugly, in a weirdly adorable kind of way, much like the pug.

Compared to the fleet-footed ferret's ungainly appearance, however, its voice managed to be far more surprising. The little mammal didn't open its lips or move its tongue, but all the same, a squeaky, tactless voice made itself at home in each of the Faunus' minds. ”Fun!” the voice exclaimed, and with all the alacrity a mustelid could muster, the ferret launched itself as the nearest person: Shiro. Scrabbling up his clothing, it wormed its way onto his head, where it curled up in his hair. ”Fun man! Food?”

The noises of a greater disturbance than a telepathic ferret began to reach the trio, and the girls, as enraptured by the ferret as they were, turned in apprehension to look down the hallway from which the ominous clatters, yells, and hisses issued.

-=-=Pop=-=-

Turning around, Pop frowned with extreme severity at Sapphire, but that was all; he made no utterance of pain, nor did he twist his features in agony. His hand had gone to his shoulder when Sapphire had driven the scalpel there, and only now did he remove it. Between his index and middle finger the little blade was perched, unstained by any blood whatsoever. Had the former boxer been more of a gloater, he would have told Sapphire how his semblance kept any move of hers from being a surprise, and how he could stretch out a single second to a minute in his perception to figure out how best to deal with any incoming attack. In this case, it had looked like his hand had been trying in vain to block the scalpel's pierce, when in reality he had intended for the block to fail in order to push the improvised weapon just enough so that while it ripped through the cloth of his suit jacket, it didn't even touch his aura, let alone his skin.

Given time enough to think, Sapphire might be able to figure out what had happened on her own, but Pop didn't intend to give her that time. With the range and strength advantage on his opponent, he felt confident pressing her, but it seemed that she had a gun. “That counts,” said he coolly, “we may begin.”

Pop flicked the scalpel, using his semblance to make sure he had his aim right. The cutting tool span upward, glinting brightly in the overhead light, and smacked into the ceiling. In the same instant that the tool left his hand, Pop had begun moving. Using his semblance liberally, he approached Sapphire in a single long step, swerving out of the way of the barrel and using one of his arms to block the path that the barrel would need to be moved to aim at him again. Not one of his limbs went underutilized, for as he moved, his other arm came around in a low-arc hook punch toward the knee that Sapphire knelt with. Her stunt had proved to him that what she lacked in the strength department she endeavored to make up for in speed and agility, something that targeting her legs would help to nullify. The overall result was a single, fluid motion, made with impossible precision.

Ebon saw the anchor flying towards him and braced his shield for impact. But he didn't quite expect to see the glorified weight hook onto his shield. He resisted the pull at first but it grew stronger and stronger and pulled him off his feet. He held onto his shield tightly and focused more on getting his R-Types to gun down the girl fighting them. The R-Types that were charging their laser cannons fired, while the others continued to chase down the girl to shoot her full of holes. He did notice Skyra trying to intimidate the anchor woman, which caused him to shout at her.

"Quit screwing around and just kill her!"

Slamming his shield into the cement Ebon tried to leverage himself to stop the girl from swinging him around.

Ears perking at the detected sounds of something rapidly approaching, Shiro's eyes immediately shifted with a blink into their glowing ice-blue color. Black stripes marking and accenting his body as he jumped to his feet. Much to his surprise, what came their way was something far less intimidating and scary. Eyes focusing in on the tiny thing scrabbling their way, Shiro could only watch with astonishment as the speedy thing launched itself at him and even spoke to them. As the thing crawled its way up his clothing, finally resting atop his head, Shiro scooped it up into his gloved hands and held it out in front of him. Stars sparkled and exploded in his vision as Shiro's face immediately brightened and any nervous tension within him melted away at the sight of the Ferret.

"Hey, little guy! Well, aren't you just the cutest thing!" Shiro could see nothing ugly about the creature and endearingly hugged it to his chest before holding it out in front of himself again. Blinking, he made a curious expression as he tilted his head. "Wait, did you just talk?" Thinking back, he had already encountered 'Porridge' who displayed a Semblance that caused vegetative growth. Shiro immediately deduced that this creature must have some sort of Telepathic Semblance, allowing it to 'speak'. Looking at the furry creature in his hands, he smiled and asked for its name. "Do you have a name little guy? If not, I'm gonna call you Scoot. Yeah, Scoot! You are the scootiest scoot that every scooted. The best Scoot!" Shiro grinned.

His admiration for the rodent ended shortly thereafter, as his ears picked up a far more foreboding cacophonous racket from deeper within the Shelter. Placing 'Scoot' atop his head, as Shiro so aptly named him, he raised a gloved hand and smartly slapped his own face. The stinging pain of his self-abuse breaking him out of his gloomy slump, he shook his head and clenched his fist. Ready and raring to go again. Sadly, he would have to wait to become acquainted with the other two Faunus girls. "Sorry, but it looks like I'm gonna have to get a move on. Do you two know who is in charge of this place and where he or she may be? I have to find them and let them know what's going on to stop all this before it gets too out of hand. Before it gets too late."

Marcus Goldstein - Escort Mission 'Operation Enduring Fustercluck'

“Turn around? Mister Goldstein I'm sure-” Rice protested.

“That right there is an ambush mister Rice. Jamming is already up. Get out of here.” Marcus cut the man off.

“But-” Rice tried again.

“NOW.” Marcus yelled angrily. The last thing he needed right now was criticism. Fortunately the drivers needed no more pushing to run for it. Praise the sun for small mercies.

“Okay team prepare for breach.” he warned the two atop his turret. Not even aura could protect more sensitive body parts like the eardrum from the full fury of the one oh five mill. Marcus picked a part of the fortifications more or less at random, then stopped to let his sights settle on target. Two quiet seconds passed.

“Fire in the hole!” Marcus warned.

For the briefest of moments, there was a flash. Thunder rolled across the plains. A great cloud of dust obscured the tank from view as the high explosive warhead left the barrel. The round buried itself into the fuel tanks of the unfortunate truck that was the target, tearing through the thin steel case with ease. Then the explosives detonated and blasted the entire machine in half. The engine block buried itself into the next truck in line with enough force to flip the entire thing over like a cheap plastic toy. The cargo bed that was the other half simply disintegrated into white hot metal splinters. Almost as an afterthought, the hot brass case that was ejected from the side of the turret set the brush below on fire.

Before the smoke cleared, the Unsubtle roared forward into and over the newly created breach. It was classic shock and awe at work. Scare enemies with aggressive, forceful moves so they have no time to respond in an intelligent, organised fashion.

Marcus paid no heed to the runners. They were defeated, and seeing people run away drained the fight out of those who tried to stand their ground. Instead his sensors looked for those still with weapons. The autoloader clattered as it readied a new incendiary round. Oswald yelled from atop his turret, and Marcus stopped breathing.

The breaks squealed as they forced the Unsubtle to a sudden lurching halt. Aurellius blazed away with his minigun, laughing as he did so.

“Cease fire.” Marcus breathed softly. Sun help him, what had he done?

“Cease fire. CEASE FIRE!” he ordered more forcefully, even as the suit clad boy above him happily sang a dainty little tune as he continued to mow down everybody in sight. The machine gun mount next to Aurelius came to life, spun around and swept his feet out from under him. Aurellius athletically landed on one hand and flipped himself the correct way up without so much as a smudge on his suit.

“AURELLIUS CEASE FIRE SUN FUCKING DAMN YOU!” Marcus yelled at him. Okay, focus now. Bugs next.

“But boss, they're still shooting at us aren't they?” Aurellius whined.

“I do not need this shit right now! You want to shoot something shoot those bugs.” Marcus told him. At the same time with an agility that was just plain weird for something so massive the Unsubtle swung around to bring the cannon to bear on the new threat. A few agonising seconds passed while Marcus sighted a patch between the lead swarm and the still moving convoy.

“Fire in the hole!” Marcus yelled.

Once more the cannon thundered. This time instead of just an ordinary lump of high explosives it sent something far more nasty screaming downrange. Just before it smashed into the ground the incendiary shell burst. In that moment, God scooped up a bucket of Hell, took a piss in it and poured it out over the grasslands between the swarm and it's target.

Gren Orchid

The face off between Gren and the oversize iguana didn't last long. It sent spikes to impale Gren, but once more he simply broke out of them through brute force. It helped that he expected it, as he knew if that iguana catches him off guard he won't be able to must the strength to break out like he does now. He retreated from the Iguana and headed down towards the halls were the rest of the spikes were. The iguana gave chase, in a small form this time, more suited to dodging around the spikes it made. It at least confirmed one thing: The Iguana couldn't retract it's own spikes. He was going to need to rely on that to escape the creature. Gren slowed his pace, occasionally stopping to pepper the area around the iguana with bullets and explosions. As the same time, Gren had to be more watchful of random spikes emerging from the ground to impale him.

Eventually however, he stopped in a part of the hallway where there were multiple spikes on the ground, walls, and ceiling. "This will have to do. Come on then! Let's finish this!" Gren used his semblance to step on the side of one of the spikes, firing the God Eater at the iguana. It was smart enough to take cover instead of simply letting the bullets him him, and used it's semblance to create more spikes underneath Gren's feet. Vicious as it was, it was starting to get predictable. Gren was careful with his foot, and was always ready to lift a leg to avoid the spikes. Accuracy wasn't his concern, as all he was doing was suppressing fire. The Iguana continued to create spikes underneath Gren even as he dodged them, until eventually he had more or less created an entire wall of spikes.

This was only a temporary barrier however. The Iguana could likely break through, or slip by. So he made sure it'd have a hard time of doing so by dousing the wall with his flame thrower, sending a sticky yet highly flammable fluid through any cracks in the wall. Again, only a temporary means to keep the beast at bay, but Gren couldn't waste time fighting it even if he could defeat it on his own. There was bigger things to worry about, like Sapphire. Beating a quick retreat, by the time the Iguana would bypass the barrier Gren was no where in sight.

Caravan Escort

It was chaos. The Schnee guardsmen could handle Grimm, maybe even the White Fang if they came in small forces, but the newest threats they were simply unprepared for. Their small arms meant nothing against the hunters as one by one they fell, their only fortifications blow apart and their only defenders wounded or killed. Oswald's cries for a cease fire was unheard, either because the guardsmen themselves could not hear him over the cacophony of gunfire, or because they were already taken out. By the time the shooting did stop, it was only because anyone left to shoot at him was taken out. There was even more fire and destruction everywhere now, and hardly a life left inside of it.

Well, there were some. At the small radio tower Diamond was at a stand off with a young Schnee guardsmen. However, from his crude and ratty attire, youthful face, and the fear in his eyes, he may not even be a guardsmen so much as a young man forced into armament. He stuttered into a shout, trying to seem more intimating than the cool-headed Diamond. "W-w-who are you?! Are you with the White Fang?! Soon another guardsmen came out, more experinced and grizzled than the young man before Diamond. He leveled his rifle at Diamond and shouted at her. "Drop your weapons! You're a hunter aren't you? We aren't your enemies, dammit! Why the hell are you attacking us?"

At the same time, over at the trucks, the bugs were eating away at the hull with frightening speed. Despite being six-inch thick steel boxes, the bugs ate through the metal in minutes, getting to the dust inside. The drivers were not spared either; they were the first to be attacked as the bugs ate through their windshields and attacked them directly. They bit into their flesh, crawled into whatever orifice was open to them. One of the trucks was taken off the road and into the grass as it's driver panicked from being eaten by the insects. The others, at least, opened their doors and drove into high gear. But than came Marcus's fire shower. The incendiary explosive wiped out a good third of the swarm, at least the ones chasing down the trucks. But he would then notice that those caught by his attack did not fall immediately. The swarm of insects than turned into a flaming swarm of insects, who retreated into the grasslands. They moved with startling purpose and speed, and soon the grasslands itself was on fire. The flames were going out of control. Each second, the flames spread one foot outwards. It would only be a matter of minutes before the entire grasslands would be sent ablaze, or at least the vast majority of it around the camp. Not helped that it seemed that with their dying breaths, the flaming bugs continued to spread the fire even further.

Patrol Mission

Skyra wasn't the only one quick on the draw. As soon as she disappeared from the Anchor girl's sight, she knew that she pulled off some trick to try to get behind her. She wasn't so unfamiliar to fighting against speedsters to know that they always try to do that. So with a flick of her wrist, she lifted her heavy anchor off the ground, and allowed it to pull her body towards Ebon, avoiding not only Skyra but also Ebon's R-Types. She did take a few shots from them before, but her aura allowed her to continue to fight despite the hits. The anchor girl hit Ebon's shield with the combined weight of her own body and her second anchor. "I'm going to fucking drown you!" And sure enough, perhaps due to the girl's own semblance, water began to come out from the various drain holes around the street, converging onto the anchor girl and Ebon.

At the Cap Nap the now catless young men gave Krystanthe what little information they had.

"Honestly, we don't really know when the next attack could happen. Me and my boys tried to find some pattern or figure out what they were looking for, but best we could figure was that they all had motorcycles. The tire marks at each scene matches the type of tires you'd see from a bike, so we're thinking it's a biker gang hitting these shops. But I don't know why they only steal food. Just a few days ago a friend of mine's had her shop robbed, but all they took were the cakes and sweets. Her register was left untouched, even her TV and her mum's old hunter weapon. And I'm sure I don't gotta tell you that something like that is pretty valuable."

Additionally, one of the boys told Krystanthe about the Mitakihara. The head honcho was about to shut him up, however a quick glace at Krystanthe and he allowed his subordinate to speak.

"The Mitakihara family is a mafia, ya know? They deal with wet work and hired muscle. Not too surprising honestly, but they're more community minded than most. They make sure the other crime families don't spill their beef out onto the streets. My guess is that whatever is going on with these robberies have something to do with the crime families in the cities. But uh... I don't really know much about them. I only know about the Mitikihara cause they helped us out of a jam before. The criminal underground isn't really... Something we get into."

A bunch of tough guys, but hardly criminals. The last bit of help they could provide was where one of the boys were contacted by the Mitakihara Family: In the Land of Walk amusement park. He was trying to follow a lead on a motorcycle gang that frequents the place when a bunch of guys in suits showed up and told him to stop his search. Telling them everything they knew, the head honcho still offered the two girls a date. "I know you're busy and all, but maybe we could hook up after your done with work? Me and the boys here are pretty awesome racers, we could show you two a thing about racing around Red Asphalt."

Oswald Connolly- Convoy Escort

Oswald stumbled for a moment, barely catching himself as Aurellius refused to keep firing. The Unsubtle had dealt a crippling blow to the camp, but in the end, it was the bloodlust of their minigunner that culled the camp's residents on the whole. This was a level of destruction he'd never seen before. Fires raged around him from the damage of the high-explosive round that had ravaged the camp. Bodies were strewn about, blood covering the ground and anything that resembled a wall.

A cry for help roused his attention, forcing Oswald over to the man. He'd been impaled by a massive chunk of debris and had at least four or five bullet holes in him. The fear in the dying man only multiplied as he realized who he was looking at, before he begged for his life.

It wasn't Oswald's choice to decide whether he lived or died. All he could to was provide a quicker death. "Be quiet. There's nothing I can do to save you. I won't ask for your forgiveness. I don't deserve it." His voice was hollow, completely devoid of emotion. If one were to look into his eyes, they would-somehow-be even duller and more devoid of life than they normally were. All in all, Oswald gave the appearance of a dead man walking.

Pulling his sword out, Oswald drove it through the dying man's chest, ending his life almost instantly, quickly replacing the bloody weapon in its sheathe. He could clean it later.

Shouting behind him made Oswald turn, and he saw two people with guns drawn on Diamond. Teleporting over to the trio, Oswald pushed the rifle aside, aiming at the guard who had his gun on Diamond. "We were here to escort the dust. Those damned bugs jammed our radios, and we assumed your fortifications were a hostile ambush. You two are probably the only ones left."

Dropping the rifle, Oswald inclined his head to where the Unsubtle had torn a hole in the camp. "Our last two are out there, dealing with those hellspawn. The truck drivers might need our help, assuming they were still alive. You can deal with us once the job's done. I know I won't fight back."

Team RPGD-Protest Mission

"OK, Priscilla, here's the plan," Daniel said quickly. "They come here, then I slam this door into their faces. I'll draw their fire and you provide covering fire. Sound good? Good."

As the pair disappeared behind the door, the team on the west building's roof moved to the door, with the rifleman watching from a few meters away. The spotter reached forward to open the door, a mace in hand.

As the doorknob turned, Daniel knew it was time to act. He slammed his shoulder against the door, causing the door to fly open and hopefully smash against the White Fang spotter's nose. The door wide open now, Daniel came charging out, brandishing his sword and yelling, "Suprise, motha-fuckas!" He then swung his sword at the nearest White Fang member he could see, using the back of his sword rather than the edge. They may be trying to sow terror among the public, but even he wasn't about to go kill anyone just yet.

Priscilla and Daniel continued their little operation to keep watch at the roof top but suddenly the White Fang appeared, she heard Daniel's shout as he grabbed her by the shoulder and dragged her away from the fire. "Stupid fu--- UGH! I got this..." she said rolling her eyes and as soon as the girl was about to take action, Daniel beat her too it. "Daniel! Are you serious..? What kind of plan is that?" Damn it, why did she have to be paired with some guy who thinks he is all that and a pervert? Oh well, there has to be a cocky guy in the team. Priscilla quickly walked out behind the door and used her force field semblance to block any incoming shots from the last White Fang in the room, saving Daniel from a face full of lead. Then she created another shield around the shooter, this one much smaller, trapping him inside. With the three White Fang of that floor taken care of, Priscilla turned to Daniel and asked, "You aren't going to kill them or anything right?"

As the team on the roof was incapacitated, the three members of the rifle team on the third floor started to make their way up the stairs, carefully clearing every floor on the way. Approaching the rooftop, they heard the sounds of battle, and stood in position to ambush their enemies as soon as they opened the door from the roof.

Daniel struck the last White Fang on the shoulder, causing him to drop to one knee. Daniel struck him again on the temple to knock him out. Daniel then turned to Priscilla and responded, "Who do you think I am? I'm a lot of things, but not a murderer." He then placed his foot on the unconscious White Fang's head and continued, "We should probably do something about these guys. Maybe tie them up or something." Daniel gave it a few moments' thought, then said, "Maybe lock them in a room downstairs."

Robert noticed that Greyson seemed to be much better at taking out groups of enemies, while he was having to fight one-at-a-time. This gave Robert an idea. "Greyson, you keep fighting, I'm going to focus on evacuating the civilians," he ordered. RPGD's leader then lept into action, gathering people and leading them away from the fighting. As he led a group of young kids away from the fighting, Robert called Priscilla and Daniel. "Hey guys, you two okay?" He waited for their response before speaking again.

Priscilla shook her head towards Daniel. "No, It's not that.... but I barely know you, right?" she sighed shrugging her shoulders before turning around to see the White Fangs members knocked out unconsiously. "Yes hun, we are fine," she said to Robert. "We are actually wondering what to do with the whole 'knocked out people' thing..." she sighed while nodding her head as she made her way to the roof once again, her weapon quickly changing into a sniper as she aimed it towards the building up North.

"Good. I've noticed sniper fire coming from your building still," Robert said. "After you've cleared it, Priscilla, I want you to provide counter-sniping for their guys in the buildings North of the Square. Daniel, you can either stay and watch her back or come down here and help Greyson and me. It's your choice. Robert out."

"Yeah, Daniel. Watch my back." Priscilla giggled, liking how their leader, and her boyfriend, made up the plans for them. They were really like the Fantastic Four. Daniel was more like Johnny, even though they weren't siblings, he was perverted, and made jokes. Jokes that weren't even funny.

"I was planning on doing that anyway," Daniel said to Priscilla, heading over to the rooftop door. "Guess I'll go clear out this building and make sure none of them are left." He held his sword in front of him as he opened the door, ready for battle on the other floors. However, he was not expecting an ambush near the door itself.

As the door to the rooftop opened, the three White Fang all opened fire with their respective firearms: a powerful rifle, a handgun, and a submachine gun.

Meanwhile, Robert and Greyson's efforts to fight off the White Fang and protect the civilians was going satisfactorily. There had been some casualties, but at the moment, nobody had died just yet. A few gunshot wounds, and several injuries from close combat, but in the mass chaos, the police had managed to protect most of the civilians, and were appreciative of Robert's help.

"Aaaaggghhh!!" Daniel yelled as he was shot, the impact of the bullets knocking him down to the ground. Fortunately, his sword and aura blocked most of the bullets, so he fared a lot better than most people would have. However, the bullet from the rifle had managed to slip through his defenses and pierce his shoulder. In pain, Daniel pointed his sword at the now open door and unleashed a torrent of flame at the White Fang.

Laughing as their ambush took the wannabe Huntsman off guard, the White Fang rifleman almost didn't notice the torrent of flames coming at him until he was nearly engulfed in the fire. The three terrorists scrambled backwards, surprised by the sudden attack, before regaining their resolve and taking hold of a grenade.

"Suck on this, human!" Tossing the grenade up the stairs, the White Fang members shared a chuckle, walking up the stairs to confirm their kills.

Meanwhile, the Fang members on the ground started to move on Robert and Greyson, having them outnumbered nearly ten-to-one. While the odds were in their favor, especially with the overhead fire support, they were still wary. They hadn't fought many Huntsmen or Huntresses before, and trainee or not, they weren't taking any chances.

As Robert rescued another group of civilians, he turned to see Greyson fighting off an overwhelming number of White Fang on his own. Immediatley sensing trouble for his teammate, Robert got in a ready position to sprint into the fray with Grayson, until he was suddenly grabbed from behind. As he was beginning to be dragged away, Robert turned back around to see who his attacker was, only to see it as one of the civilians he had saved moments ago. Robert squirmed loose of the man's grasp and moved away before shouting at the man, "What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to save ya', kid. I know you just saved our hides and all, but going back into that mess is suicide. You'll be killed for sure," the man shouted back. Robert looked back at his team. Greyson fighting off several White Fang on his own. Daniel giving his all to protect himself and Priscilla. And Priscilla, the girl he loved, trying to find targets that she herself could possibly be leaving herself open to attack from. Robert turned back to the civilian.

"Sometimes, standing up for what's right, means you have to walk into harm's way, even when you know better." And just like that, Robert was gone, moving in to support Greyson. As one of the White Fang swung their katana-like sword downward to strike Greyson from behind, Robert suddenly appeared from seamingly nowhere and parrried the attack with his bracers' blades. He then kicked the attacker in the chest, pushing him back, before retracring the blade of his weapon and punching the terrorist in the face. The White Fang member fell unconcious and Robert winced at the pain he now felt in his hand. "Ow. Hey Greyson, how you doing over here?" he asked before blocking another blow from more White Fang.

Priscilla nodded her head as Daniel walked away, but she knew that leaving him go alone wasn't going to be such a good idea, so instead, she followed him. As soon as the girl was walking towards her team member, she noticed him knocked out on the ground, shot with a bullet, and bleeding. Priscilla's eyes widened as she ran towards Daniel. She raised her right hand in front of her while her left hand put pressure on his wound. As a pink-colored force field surrounded the two, just so the bullets or anyone won't be able to harm them, Priscilla reported to Robert, "Robert.. Daniel has been shot... " The force field would also protect the two from the grenade explosion.

Greyson grinned at Robert. "Never been better, my friend!" Greyson called out to him, but he was panting loudly, and, despite him being the unshakable in terms of standing his ground, he was still getting pushed through the ringer on this. Greyson turned and slashed another White Fang as he kept slashing and shooting his shotgun at them to try and keep a few of them from getting to close into Greyson's personal space.

Greyson was trying to do his best on his own, but he couldn't help but worry about everyone else, including Pricilla and Daniel up on the roof, where they were trapped or otherwise couldn't leave the vantage point. Greyson shot a White Fang that tried to flank Robert on his side as Greyson turned to Robert. "How much more of this do we need to handle before everyone is out of here?" Greyson asked, knowing he couldn't go into a full fighting rampage with so many civillians nearby lest he hurt them.

Daniel grit his teeth as the pain in his shoulder continued to throb. Who would have thought that getting shot hurt so much? The grenade bounced off the force field and to the side, where it exploded harmlessly. Neither the force of the explosion nor the shrapnel managed to get past it. "Feels like a goddamn sledgehammer hit me," Daniel said. "But I'll be fine." Those words were said with confidence, but there was a clear tone in his voice that indicated that he was in pain. Tightening his grip on his sword, Daniel sat up, wincing as the pain throbbed again. "Dammit, I'll make them pay," Daniel swore, inadvertantly triggering his semblance and causing small flames to flicker on his arms. Fortunately, they did not burn him or Priscilla.

Robert fought back-to-back with Greyson, defending each other and taking quite a few of the White Fang out of the fight. "I think we've got all the civilians out, Greyson. You can do whatever you need. Y'know, as long as you don't hit me," he told Greyson. Suddenly, Robert heard Priscilla's voice over the radio. "What? Daniel's been hit?" Robert panicked for a moment, trying to think of what to do. The sight of the sun reflecting off a White Fang member's sword brought him back into the moment "Ah! Shoot!" he said as he just barely blocked it. As the sword came closer and closer to his face, the blades of his bracers just barely keeping the attack back, Robert began thinking outloud again. "Think, Robert, think." He then moved his bracers to hook onto the blade and disarm his opponent, before throwing his head forward for a head-butt. "Ow, ow, ow. Okay, how bad is it? Do you need me to get over to you?" he asked.

"It's just a flesh wound, I'll manage," Daniel growled into his radio. "We're still far from beaten, so worry about yourself right now." That being said, though, he and Priscilla were still outnumbered by one. Fortunately, they were facing only cannon fodder, so Daniel still had a hope that they could finish this quickly.

Now that the civilians had been cleared from the area, the police were leaving the White Fang to the trainee Huntsmen and Huntress. The group in the stairwell were agitated at the sounds of their quarry speaking from above them, but they refused to move from their position, instead waiting to ambush them.

Meanwhile, the rifle team on the North side building was firing upon Greyson and Robert, their communicator relaying the situation to their leader. "Sir, these kids are wiping us out down here! We need backup!"

"That sounds like a good idea, actually." Ignoring the sounds of screams and gunfire, the muscled Lieutenant stood from his position, cracking his neck and picking up his oversized chainsaw. If his soldiers couldn't handle these Beacon punks, he would.

Kicking open the door to one of the apartment buildings, Banesaw grunted and looked at the fight going on nearby. Greyson and Robert were handling the Fang agents on the ground well enough, but if the North side rifle team got a good shot off, either or both would be quickly overwhelmed.

"Agents of the White Fang! I order you to leave the redhead to me. I'll kill him." The grunts were all too happy to oblige Banesaw, scrambling away to support their allies attacking Greyson, leaving Robert to face the Lieutenant alone. "You're no Schnee, but every Huntsman's pelt is worth something."

"If you say so, Daniel," Robert responded. Suddenly, he heard a voice shouting behind him. "Redhead? What redhead? Wait, does he mean me?" As the White Fang in front of him peeled off to fight Greyson, Robert turned to see the White Fang Lieutenant standing in front of him. "You're, uh, you're a pretty big guy," he said nervously. "So I'm assuming there's no way we can just talk this out, can we?"

Banesaw simply looked at Robert blanky, before his shoulders sank a bit. "That's it? No cocky talk? No grim determination? You want to talk it out?" Shaking his head, he let out a massive laugh. "I'll talk to your head when it's mounted on my wall!"

"Yeah, the whole cocky attitude really isn't my thing, but if you want to slug it out and all, you can be sure that I'm going to be determined to win. No matter how much it hurts. Or how dead I might be at the end of it," Robert responded. "So, if you want my head so badly, I'm going to give you quite the challenge. Hopefully, at least. We'll see."

The only reply Banesaw gave was a sharp exhalation through the nose before he adjusted his grip on his chainsaw, closing the gap between the two and swiping at Robert's chest.

Robert ducked under Banesaw's first strike and made a quick uppercut towards the large man's jaw. Then he jumped back giving himself some space between him and his opponent. "Ow, my hand. Why do you White Fang guys always have hard jaws?"

Banesaw gave no response other than a grunt as he accepted the blow from Robert, following after him with a downwards strike from his saw.

Robert dodged to the left of Banesaw's next strike, then elbowed his arm. He had hoped to disarm him, but considering how strong his opponent was, Robert didn't have high hopes of that plan succeeding.

Again, there was no response from the massive White Fang Lieutenant save to accept the attack, though it did little to harm him overall. Instead of swinging with his saw, however, this time Banesaw lashed out with his left arm, intending to backhand Robert this time.

Greyson groaned softly until Robert just gave him a free pass to go wild. Greyson took a deep breath and started to making his heart pump faster and faster to give his body more adrenaline by the second Greyson grinned. "Who wants to go first!?" Greyson cried out, laughing a little as he quickly started to run and slash each opponent in his path. One second Greyson was slashing his enemy, and the next he was shooting a buck shot at another.

Greyson was able to notice the big guy that was attacking Robert. Greyson changed ammo types, using a white phosphorus round to make the guy catch fire. "I'm still here too, asshole!" Greyson yelled, giving a nod to Robert that he still had his back. Greyson went back to his rampage, having given Robert his opening for a better attack.

Grunting angrily as his arm caught fire, Banesaw jumped away from Robert, taking a deep breath as his Aura manifested and swirled around the affected area. After a moment, his burns healed themselves and the fire snuffed itself out. "Come in, rifle teams. If any of you are still alive, I recommend you shoot these kids and get it over with!"

"Thanks, Greyson," Robert said as he shot Greyson a thumbs up. He then turned back to Banesaw and watched as the man's aura quickly healed him. "Now's my chance," Robert said as he sprinted toward his opponent, closing the gap between them. Once he reached a close distance he feigned a lunging attack before instead rolling by Banesaw, turning, and kicking him behind the right knee.

After the grenade bounced off her amazing force field, Priscilla quickly grabbed Daniel and dragged him away from the scene, as she was now trying to fix his bullet wound. "Don't move..." the girl said, puting more pressure into his wound as she finally ripped a piece of her cloth, wrapping it around his shoulder. It was showing a bit of her stomach, but she wasn't going to let her team member die of blood loss. "Alright, Daniel. Let's move, be a man and let's actually move! We need to help Greyson and Robbie."

Diamond frost - Convoy FUBAR

Seeing the frightened boy, Diamond didn’t hesitate to capitalize on his inexperience. With a swift move of her hand she was suddenly holding his gun as well. To her dismay though, another Gorrila heard Loudmouth’s rant and she was now being asked to surrender her arms. Oh well, no sense fighting if it could have been avoided. She was fairly confident she could bolt before they got her anyhow.

Her thumbs sliding down the clips fell out of the handles of the guns before she dropped them. Then Oswald appeared from out of thin air and turned the situation back on the guards. Pulling her scarf from her face, she nodded. “Hunters in training actually. Team leader sent me to get a look around and gather what’s going on. Why they attacked before I returned with the intel is beyond me." she hissed. The hell? You send a scout to report back before you attack, right? Nevermind, she owed the locals an explanation "You failed to report for a week and then we saw the camp fortified and smoking - we thought you got overrun by the white fang or some sort. What’s actually going on here?” she inquired.

The shooting seemed to stop there and then. She wasn't completely sure whether all of the defenders were already knocked out or some of them actually managed to neutralize the tank, although one of those cases was a lot more likely and it wasn't looking good for the Schnee employees..

Walking over to Oswald, she had a few words to say. “The heck, bugs jammed the radio? What kind of crackpot theory is that, the Replicators are here or something? They could just be trying to cover their asses.” she whispered angrily so the guards wouldn’t hear her. “Whatever, let’s go get the trucks. I just hope they’re still there. When we get back I’m pouring bloody concrete into that gun!”

Jack vs Clown

The owner of the Dragon’s Den watched from the balcony above with little interest. His minions could easily deal with a rowdy and disagreeable customer. As he was about to walk away to his office, several sudden blue flashes of light appeared throughout the room, cutting down all of the White Fang below, with the exception of Morgan and Mordred. What was more surprising to him though was the sound of an unfamiliar and young voice, just out of his corner of vision. He turned toward the blue-clad boy and addressed his questions.

“Tell you what, kid. You make it out of here in one piece, and you can take whatever you want. And to answer your other question, while probably one the most unoriginal names I’ve ever been called, yes ‘Clown’ works.” The Clown looked down at Mordred and Morgan to confirm his numbers before looking back to Jack. “So I’m guessing you think this is some three-on-three match up with equal odds or something. Well you’d be wrong buster.” In a blink of an eye, three more of The Clown suddenly appeared before Jack. “Get ‘em!” shouted one of them before running away, leaving Jack to deal with the three clones.

Luke and Ciel vs Mordred and Morgan

Most of the civilians had dispersed away from the main floor and were pressed against the walls, leaving the four alone to have their fight without any disruptions. Mordred simply scowled at the two teens that stood before him before unsheathing a flaming sword his belt.

Morgan however decided to answer Luke’s question toward Ciel for her, “I assure you that, whatever her current state may be, she will certainly be far from ‘okay’ in a few minutes.” She then turned to her silent partner. “I take the girl, you take the boy?”

Mordred, still not speaking, just nodded before sprinting full speed at Luke. He stopped several feet before making contact and swung upward, sending a large ball of flame at him.

Morgan looked at Ciel and began by saying, “Now that it’s just the two of us…” She then lifted her arms and began making very theatrical hand gestures. Suddenly, Ciel would begin seeing the colors of the room change, and the objects inside begin to distort in shape. The civilians that had dispersed earlier began to shift the most, at first into unrecognizable blobs, before becoming different types of Grimm. Beowolves, Creeps, Boarbatusks, and Ursas all began to surround Ciel. Was this an illusion? Possibly. Was any this real? Probably not. But Ciel was under the effects of Morgan’s semblance, so she most likely would not be able to tell the difference.

Skyra would rather have avoided to hurt anybody, even less kill somebody, on this mission, but it appeared the anchor girl was not open to negotiations.
The water pouring through the streets did seem like an immediate problem, especially because of her size.
In her head, she quickly calculated the estimated amount of water that is going to rush towards anchor girl and then she waited for a bit after climbing up a wall.
When enough water had found its way into the street, Skyra channelled her aura and called out "Blade Storm!"
Her two swords started levitating around her and her aura let a couple more appear that started spinning, too.
The whirling was enough to make her hover in the air as she slowly descended into the water.
The propulsive force of the whirlwind caused by the spinning blades the water vaporize as Skyra dramatically marched towards the anchor girl.
"You will see the error of your ways!", she snarled, her voice distorted through the blades.
Few moments later, she dashed forwards, her Blade Storm dissipating in a red explosion, her two swords in her hands she swung both at anchor-chan.

Jack Orpheus | Dragon's Den

TRACK: Disco Punk on Jolt

"Sorry, nothing else comes to mind, your mask is a little distracting", he snarked back. As the mastermind of this operation stepped forward and raised his hand, summoning three clones speaking while doing so, Jack drew both blades out and readied into a stance.

“So I’m guessing you think this is some three-on-three match up with equal odds or something. Well you’d be wrong buster”, he spoke, or would say, but just as he was ready for an onslaught the man would turn tail. Jack immediately in response dropped the stance as if he was pouting,

"Oh come on, you really think you can run from me like that?", just as nonchalantly he hurled his throwing knife at the clone in the middle, or rather, it would keep flying to hit the clown in the back, except it didn't. A split moment later, Jack would use his semblance to close the distance, punch the middle clone in the face and then catch his previously thrown knife, in that order, in one single motion. As he spun to a stop, he put his leg out, using the momentum to trip the middle clone before finishing it off with an axe kick. It had not a single chance to react. Was this the man's semblance? If so... Then the one running might not even be the real one. He must be hiding.

Just as this train of thought was starting, one of the clones on the side went in for a punch, which Jack easily side-stepped then grabbed onto the clone, vaulting around and over, on top it's back, using his weight to slam it's face into the ground before dong a backflip evading the clone's kicking advance, only to cancel it mid-air into a semblence dash, slashing the clone across the chest.

He wasted no time to catch up to the one running. Maybe in some worlds, outrunning the speed of lightning was possible, but in this one, unless you had the semblance to do it, that was impossible, and in this case the clown would have to quickly realize this as Jack went to punch the clown in the face.

Sarina Tala Dei

Sarina sat on the side of her bed, her hands clasped together and elbows on her thighs. She thought of Haven remembering her days back there. She remembered the influence she held their before she left when the incident occurred as the leader of several positions throughout the school, influencing school policy. She remembered the countless friends and enemies she made. She remembered the incident that forced her to make an exodus…the girl with the sword on her kness… Sarina shrugged it off, blanking her mind. It was unhealthy to think of it. She reminded herself to move on from it.

Sarina grabbed her scroll and looked at pictures of Team VGNB, acquaintances she met during her time at Haven. In her mind, it was nice to have more members from her school to be at Beacon. She felt connected with them due to being from the same school. There was also another girl who came on her own who was a cat faunus. Sarina wondered if she should wear her old Haven uniform.

She opened her closet reveal boxes, and clothes on hangars. Moving the hangars onto the right side, she pulled out her Haven uniform. It was old and she wondered if it fitted her still. So she tried it on, but the jacket was too tight on her along the shoulders. It reminded her of how much she has grown since leaving.

She departed from her room.

--

Vega Venetia (Team VGNB)

Vega was walking down a hallway to head to Ozpin’s office after finishing her paperwork. Only the sound of her footsteps could be heard. Then she saw Napoli and Gratia waiting outside…well Napoli dragged out.

“Sup, I’m here” as she made a wave at them while walking briskly. Passing by them and giving a small smile and wave, she arrived in front of Ozpin’s office, the door opened were she saw him on his desk focused on other things. She took a step forward. “I’m here sir. My paperwork is here” as she grabbed the neatly folded paperwork from her purse and placed it on her desk. She then exited out of the room.

Vega through her glasses could see that Napoli once again pissed off Gratia. She looked at Gratia eyes and could see nothing but anger and frustration. She looked at Napoli on the floor. It was the usual with those two ever since they met at Haven.

Then from a distance she can see a figure far down the hallway walking at a brisk pace. She zoomed in with her augmented glasses and saw it was her cousin. She looked quite different before she left.

Tala arrived to her. “Hi Vega, it’s good to see you here. I can see with Napoli on the ground” as she turned his head to him “and observing Gratia eyes that these two haven’t changed.”

“Nope Gratia and Napoli and have not changed yet” as she made a small laugh. “They are still the same as always. Anyway Tala are we going to get started with the tour?”

“Of course” as she turned her heads both to Napoli and Gratia. “No need for intro as you already know me sooo…wait“ as she looked at her scroll. “There is supposed to be a cat faunus by the name of Emerald Felicia. Do you know where she is?”

“I do not know. I just came here after giving my paperwork to Ozpin. Though I must say” as Vega looked at her cousin outfit “it’s so cute and fitting! You look great with it! Have you got any guys with it?”

“Heh thanks cousin. But no and I have no plans right now.”

Sarina Tala Dei looked different ever since the last time Team VGNB saw her. She sported a modest outfit. She wore black boots, thigh high socks, green undershirt that might be connected to the green skirt. She wore a nicely fit red jacket and around her neck a blue scarf. Red eyes and black hair, one could not realize the beauty she held but also the sense of serenity, professionalism, and maturity exuding from her.

Emerald - Totally lost -

A drop of sweat escaped Emerald's face. She looked all around her with frantic, erratic movements.

"AHHHHHH I'm totally lost!" Maybe running off on her own hadn't been such a great idea. Emerald waved her hands in the air frantically, running in a circle. "I'm gonna die! I'm gonna run out of water, then I'm gonna die! They'll find nothing but bones!"

She paused in her panicking when she remembered something important. She had a scroll. She opened it up and quickly found a map of the school. "Ah okay, I'm not gonna die, phew." That had been a close one, she decided that the wisest thing to do now would be to head back the way she came and hopefully find that tour guide. She started running with abandon, hopefully they hadn't started the tour without her! She'd miss the tour snacks! Wait, did they have tour snacks? She hoped so!

The assembled group outside of Ozpin's office heard what sounded like wind blowing at high speed as Emerald sped toward them, nearly crashing into the group as she came to a sudden stop in front of them. She panted, bracing herself against her knees as she caught her breath. She looked up at Sarina.

"Sorry! I got excited and ran off to explore but then I got lost and thought I was gonna die and that all that would be left was my bones but then I remembered I had a scroll and I looked at the map and ran all the way back here because I didn't want to miss the tour and by the way are there snacks?" She was speaking so fast it was hard to keep up with her.

Marcus Goldstein - Convoy Escort

The camp was in ruins. No one was left inside. Bodies, burning ruins and broken tools littered the inner field. Far too many by Marcus' own hand. He counted those shot by Aurellius. Under his orders MODA smashed everything like an out of control Sitting Bull. He might as well have pulled Avalon's trigger himself.

“Better than an action movie right?” Aurellius said. “Too bad I didn't get to do much but hey that's how the dice land.”

Marcus said nothing in return. Personally he felt like Oswald looked, but he stowed it for later. There were still people to save. He could still do some good. He had to do some good here. He could drown himself in what ifs and unanswered questions later, now was the time for action. The convoy still had two trucks left that were making a run for it.

The autoloader rattled as another HE shell slid into the breech. To an outsider the cannon solution might have appeared like overkill. However it was the best option Marcus had. Close quarters was out, machine guns would be less effective, and finally the bugs were tiny. That made them highly susceptible to death by overpressure. Once more an artificial earthquake shook the ground as another shell thundered downrange. Compared to the other spectacles of destruction the explosion was almost mundane. The thickest part of the bug swarm simply ceased to exist, replaced in a flash of light by a small mushroom cloud.

Meanwhile another mental track analysed. Their behaviour indicated the bugs wanted the fire to spread. There was nothing that could be done about the source of the flames but wait for it to burn out, no available fire extinguisher would put out the white phosphorous. The acid the bugs used would do a number on everything MODA had to offer, let alone the camp. So why were they not swarming over the camp? Why bother with the fire? What was the cause of the jamming? Was it related to the bugs and if so how and why? Who were the humanoid attackers of the convoy then, if any? Far too may questions needed answers.

“So what now boss?” Aurellius asked.

“Now. Now we hold our ground. Defend the camp. I doubt this is over.” Marcus said tonelessly. “If however, it is over. We regroup, find some answers, then move on from there.”

Luke Schwarze -- Out of the Frying Pan

First universal rule of fighting in all forms...

Well, guideline, but treating it as a rule is smart. Perhaps the greatest lesson he'd ever learned from the very same coach that had always told him to try and emulate his prodigy sister--

Stay off the center line!

Feeling his eyebrows begin to singe away, the gauntleted teen juked forward and to the side, simultaneously closing distance and evading a crispy, untimely conclusion to their short battle.

That said, he needed to keep this up. Casting fireball undoubtedly gave this Mordred guy the range advantage, and that was something he absolutely needed to take away! He kept pressing inward, trying to close the distance between him and his opponent.

If I can just get my hands on him, I'll be in a much better position to do some work.

Luckily, he only had a few feet to go, and then the next issue'd be dealing with that sword.

Either try and in-fight, or just take him to the ground.

Those seemed like the best options.

Keeping an intelligent defense up all the while, Schwarze continued working his way into range.

Having finally caught up with the now stationary tank, Diamond jumped up with a loud thump. "Say what?" she said, a bit of anger in her voice. "That's not the mission. That's to protect the trucks! The camp was a write off even before we showed up, look at what's left of the truck! The bugs would have gotten the camp in the end, and we brought mining dust, not arms, none of this would have helped them!" she said, her voice getting steadily more growling. This was going to end badly from the start and there was pathetic little they could have done with what they had and knew. Time to pull their heads out of their asses and salvage what was left!

Two of the trucks were heading back to Vale, while the wreck of the third one was rapidly vanishing in front of their eyes. And they stood here, doing nothing, and being surrounded by a spreading wildfire. "Well? Do something, boss! I'm not abandoning what they hired me to do as long as those trucks are rolling and I am certainly not going to stay here and burn to a crisp! If you can't make a decision then get your candy ass back to that camp, there are a few survivors to load up, and let me handle this!" she yelled in frustration and jumped off, walking in the direction of what remained of the third truck and the bulk of the swarm.

The blast of the high explosive shot seemed to hurt the swarm more than the fire. The source of the fire was an incendiary round, not much she could do about that, but they had to put out the grass before they burned here alive. How does one put out a fire of that magnitude though? It reminded her of a dust quarry fire, spreading too fast to be contained. If memory served, they put those out with a shockwave, blowing the flames right off. Looking at the truck, the pieces started falling together.

She just hoped enough of the mining dust was left intact to be effective. Turning around, she gave Marcus a stern look. "Blow up what's left of the truck before they eat it all! That should blow off the fires in a gap big enough for us to get through and take most of the bugs with it! We only need the two trucks! We need to catch up with those!" she said, her tone of voice on the borderline between a suggestion and an order.

Oswald Connolly- Convoy Escort Working on Borrowed Willpower

"Frankly, Diamond, I have no idea what's going on." Following his team mate over to their leader's tank, Oswald was rallied by the girl's impassioned speech. Despite having already lost most of one truck, they could still do something about the other two. At the moment, they were too far for Oswald to teleport to them, but he could close the distance.

"I agree with Diamond. Whatever we can do, we're going to do. We fucked up. Let's salvage what we can, at the very least." Climbing onto the hull of the Unsubtle, Oswald aimed his sword forward, loading a blue dust crystal into the hilt of his blade. "This ain't gonna be much, but it's something." Pressing the hidden trigger, Oswald's sword focused a blue beam of light before firing it directly into the flames, dousing the relatively small area it hit and leaving a frozen tundra in its wake. Even the air along the path of the beam started to freeze, but after five or six seconds, the beam stopped abruptly.

"And there goes a full dust crystal. I really need to work on this thing's efficiency."

Team RPGD Protest Mission- FINALE

"Geez, be a little gentle there, will ya?" Daniel complained as he was dragged off. After getting bandaged up and given a little pep talk, Daniel slowly got back up to his feet. "Don't need to tell me twice," Daniel said, increasing the power on his Semblance. The flames grew on his arms and spread to his legs. His hair turned blonde, like it usually did when he used his Semblance, and he grinned. "Payback time," Daniel said, dashing towards the door at an inhuman speed, smashing through the door and pointing his sword downward, sending another torrent of flame down at the White Fang that had been lying in wait for another ambush. Whether or not it hurt them was irrelevant, but flames did serve to blind them, forcing them to see nothing but flames. Daniel then moved his sword to the side and swung at them, hopefully with enough force to break a few bones.

Screaming as a torrent of flame blasted down the staircase, the White Fang rifle team was hopeless to do anything but flail their limbs wildly, blinded by the flames and attacked by the trainee Huntsman. The rifleman was sent flying backwards, the communicator smashed into the wall, and the spotter fell to the ground, his vision filled with afterimages of the fire, effectively rendering him blind.

The rifle team on the North side was faring much better, having zeroed in on Greyson after all the commotion. Carefully lining up his shot as the rampaging boy took a swipe at one of their allies, the marksman squeezed the trigger, sending a dust-laced round right at Greyson's chest.

Meanwhile, Banesaw took quick step towards Robert before he rolled behind him, catching the kick to the back of his knee and stumbling slightly, but quickly righting himself. "Not too bad, but you're frankly not up to snuff to leave more than a mark." As he finished his sentence, the massive terrorist took a low swing with his chainsaw at Robert, sparks flying where it made contact with the ground.

"Heh, easy as pie," Daniel said after defeating the cannon fodder, then stabbed his sword into the floor to keep himself from falling over. The flames on his body died out, and his hair turned back to normal. He was now panting a bit more heavily, and the makeshift bandages on his shoulder were becoming stained with blood. "I'm all right," Daniel reassured Priscilla. "Just go do some shooting from the roof. I'll, ow, stay here."

Greyson was going through his rampage dealing massive blows against the White Fang, but all that soon came to halt when Greyson felt the impact of something going through his chest, bringing him down. He looked down to see a bullet wound through his chest with fire around the hole Greyson coughed up blood clutching his chest. "I'm hit" Greyson muttered into his radio, weakly getting upfrom the ground. Now because of said hit, Greyson was barely fending off the White Fang that threatened to overwhelm him with the weakened condition he was in.

"Yipe!" Robert yelled as he jumped backward, just barely dodging away from Banesaw's attack. "Alright, that saw's getting really annoying," he shouted back as he ran towards his opponent. Robert had his bracers transform to blade mode and swiped at the White Fang lieutenant's arm, hoping that it would cause him to drop the weapon. The red haired teen jumped back again now, getting space between him and his opponent. Before he could see if his attack had ben successful though, he heard Greyson shout behind him. Forgetting almost everything Ms. Goodwitch taught him, Robert turned his back on his opponent to see if Greyson was okay, leaving the huntsman-in-training completely open to attack.

Priscilla rolled her eyes towards Daniel seeing the cannon fodder being defeated. As she grabbed her sniper weapon and walked closely to the roof, shooting a bit of the White Fang who got closer to Robert and Greyson. As soon as she heard Greyson saying that he was hit, her eyes widened, and she got extremely worried now because Gryeson was her first friend and basically her best-friend in the team. "Greyson! Are you alright?! Please be alright. Where are you? Robbie, go get him now." she said, continuing to shoot from the roof.

Banesaw simply deflected the attack with his armored armguards, almost laughing at his enemy. They were making a valiant effort, but between him and the remaining Fang, they hardly stood a chance. When Robert turned around, he almost felt a bit of guilt for what he was about to do. Almost.

He stepped forward and grabbed Robert's throat from behind, lifting him several inches in the air. "This, brothers and sisters of the White Fang, is why you never turn your back on your opponent." Tossing Robert up like a baseball, Banesaw took a massive swipe with his saw.

Greyson was panting hard, clutching his chest, and he heard Priscilla and Robert worry. He smiled a little, but Greyson felt like he was going to collapse soon if he didn't try to end this soon. Still, he felt he needed to say something to Priscilla, just in case. "Priscilla, in case something happens to me, you should know," Greyson paused, panting as he got weaker, but he had to press on. "I pretty much... fell in love with you... from the get go. Sorry I waited... till now... to tell you." Greyson said, laughing weakly, then he took a deep breath and turned towards Banesaw, who was holding his friend above his head like a baseball. If nothing else, Greyson would take him down at least.

Greyson then jumped on his sword and used the buckshot to propel himself towards Banesaw. When he got close enough, Greyson slashed at both of Banesaw's arms, forcing him to drop Robert. Then before he could start using his Semblance, Greyson switched his rounds to the white phosphorus and shot one at point blank range. As before, it caused Banesaw to catch on fire. That way, even if he did regenerate, Greyson figured it had to have severly weakened him, especially at point blank range. Then Greyson dropped to his knees, barly able to keep his eyes open at this point, the blood dripping heavily from his wound onto the floor.

Daniel heard Greyson's confession on the radio and couldn't pass up making a witty response. "Well, another guy that wants to get into your pants, huh Priscilla? Ha ha ha- agh, hurts to laugh." He didn't care that his wound throbbed, though. He got a joke out, and that was what mattered right now.

Just before his chainsaw hit Robert, Banesaw was interrupted by Greyson's attacks. Grunting, he dropped Robert as the white phosphorous rounds crashed against his Aura, pushing him back a foot or so and scorching a hole into his outfit. Watching his allies being taken down by Priscilla, he raised his radio. "Rifle teams, ignore the kids down here. They have a sniper somewhere. I need you to find him."

Content that he wasn't about to have his head taken off by a sniper round, Banesaw walked forward to Greyson and shook his head, lifting his chainsaw to finish the youth off.

"Wait, what did you say, Greyson?" Robert asked before suddenly feeling Banesaw's hand around his neck. "Gah," said the redhead teen as he felt his feet leaving the ground. He tried to squirm out of the brute's grip to no avail. As Robert was thrown into the air, he went into shock. Time seemed to slow down as the chainsaw made its way towards him. His eyes went wide and his mouth hung slightly open as his doom approached him. Until Greyson intervened.

Robert landed on the concrete, his back feeling like it would have some lovely bruises later. He looked up from the ground to see Banesaw making his way to the injured Greyson. Adrenaline suddenly kicking in, Robert leaped off the ground and sprinted toward the White Fang lieutenant. "Get away from my team!" he shouted before leaping onto the brute's back and latching on with the blades of his bracers.

Priscilla was still looking down the ground trying to find her friend Greyson and her boyfriend. But suddenly she heard Greyson speaking out the truth about him falling in love with her, her face blushed from embarrasment not knowing what to say or do because her heart was to Robert. Greyson was such an amazing friend and, not going to lie, he was cute, but he wasn't the type for her. Robert was. As soon as she was about to speak, she spotted Banesaw. "I got him...." Priscilla said angrily as she reloaded and shot a bullet straight at Banesaw. She was like Hawkeye from Marvel, seriously, she never misses!

Banesaw grunted in anger as he felt Robert grab onto his back, reaching backwards to get a hold of the attacker. As he got a grip on his attacker, he felt a heavy bullet hit him directly in the chest, staggering him. "Dammit, you kids are more than I expected." Between Greyson's efforts and Priscilla's sniping, his forces had mostly been routed, his Aura had been wounded, and the White Fang was going to need to do some serious recruiting.

For now, all he could do was wipe out the kids who had done this. Again, he reached back to throw Robert off of his body, dissatisfaction evident on his face.

Greyson was panting heavily at this point and was having a hard time keeping his strength up. He was really annoyed with Banesaw still standing, but that goes to show how tough the guy was. Greyson couldn't take much more, so he switched his rounds to an ice dust round, knowing fire had little effect. After loading his shotgun, Greyson waited until Banesaw turned toward him before he gave him one more shot in the chest. However, this was all Greyson had left in him. As a result, he collasped on the ground, too weak to move or stay awake anymore.

Pushed back even more by Greyson's attack, Banesaw lost his balance and fell to his knees, his chest and shoulder encased by chunks of ice. Breathing slowly, he dropped his chainsaw and punched at the ice with his now-freed arm, cracking some of it, but failing to totally free himself.

As the ice began to cover Banesaw, Robert jumped off to see the White Fang lieutenant's chest and shoulders get completely covered. While Banesaw was preoccupied with the ice, Robert walked away a few feet and picked up a rifle that one of the White Fang had been using and seemed to have dropped. The red haired teen then walked back toward his opponent and stood in front of him with the rifle raised behind him. "Lights out, Mister... I don't think I ever got your name. Oh well, you can tell the police once you're in custody," he said before swinging the rifle like a baseball bat at Banesaw's head.

Preoccupied with the ice encasing his body, Banesaw only managed to look up as a rifle crashed into his head, making him drop to the ground. He wasn't unconscious, but his head felt like somebody had detonated a grenade inside of it. Moving his free hand to his waist, he activated the distress call on his radio, signalling a Bullhead to pick him up. He would have to leave most of his troops behind, but they'd known the odds when they signed up.

As Banesaw fell from the strike, Robert turned his back on what he believed to be a knocked out foe. "Alright, I think that's the last of them. Good job, team. Let's head on home," he said as he approached the unconcious Greyson. Grabbing his teammate's arm, he pulled Greyson off the ground. Robert used his own body as a crutch to help Greyson move. "Man you're heavier than you look." He waited a bit before finally bringing up what had been bothering for the past few minutes. "When you wake up, I think we should talk about that thing you said to Priscilla. I don't want any hard feeling or bad blood between us." The sound of an approaching Bullhead made Robert do a quick 180 degree turn. "No, no, no! We can't let him get away!" he shouted, almost deciding to drop Greyson so he could give chase.

As the Bullhead arrived, the side door opened and a rope ladder flew out, clanging to the ground a few feet from Banesaw, as a pair of ropes slid to the ground alongside it, a pair of White Fang grunts sliding down each rope, rifles at the ready. The Bullhead's main gun began to spin, and a voice came over the gunship's loudspeakers. "We are taking our troops and leaving. Interfere at the cost of your life. All ambulatory soldiers are to hook up and evac. You have thirty seconds."

As the few White Fang members who could still walk stumbled towards the ropes, Banesaw grabbed the rope ladder as it started ascending into the Bullhead, bringing the rappelling ropes and the wounded White Fang troops along with it. "We thank you for your cooperation. Just remember, when you try to sleep at night, that you failed. Again. The White Fang will not be stopped."

Robert looked on in dismay. He could deal with failure, but losing to the White Fang was different. He contemplated the risks of going against any intelligent though and following after them, and if not for his injured teammates, he probably would have done so. One thing was for sure, Robert was not happy with this outcome.

"Can't believe this is happening to me right now..." she said sighing before turning around to walk towards Daniel, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as they went down the stairs and back into the ground where the others were. "Alright, Danny. You are going to have to.. stay put or something.. while I go save Greyson..? Can you do that? Yes you can, you are a big man." Priscilla nodded to herself, patting his head before turning around to aid Greyson, the one who was knocked out. As she got there, she had to aid him, since he was knocked out, there was no one else around, and he could possibly get more hurt. "I gotchu, Greyson..." Priscilla nodded, looking around hoping to see no baddies, reloading her gun just in case.

"Well, if it isn't Ms. Popular," Daniel jokingly said as Priscilla came downstairs to help. Her face said it all about what she felt about his comment. His response to that was to give a wide grin. After reaching the ground floor and being left alone, Daniel yelled at her being before she disappeared from sight, "Sure, don't mind me! I'm sure Greyson will enjoy your company!" His tone made it evident as to what he was implying. With nothing left to do, he sat down against a wall and waited for someone to come by and pick him up. After all, they wouldn't leave him. Probably.

Luckily for Daniel, the police were working to secure the area while they arrested the various White Fang remaining, and an officer came across the bleeding boy and ran up to him. "Hey, you're one of the Beacon kids, right? Lemme get you a medic!" Reaching to the radio on his belt, the officer gave their location and looked down at Daniel. "Thanks for the help. Bastards think they can just come in and kill people, huh? You guys sure showed 'em, though."
