Well, you did from me. :V

You could probably go ahead now and if one of the other GMs have any reservations about anything you can just retcon it.

Awesome! Is there anything else I need to know before I post, because there's quite a lot to read.

I personally recommend looking at where/how the race's blob of influence shall be upon the most current map below (posted earlier in OOC).

Take note of some of the races you would want them meeting (PM the creators for details and plans) and keep in mind the detail you put into your posts. Sometimes I myself forget to mention developments of the race as a whole whilst describing the central character's interests and ideas.

Yes, I am aware of the positioning of the other races. In fact, I am neighbors with the Rokthan. We share the same mountain XD

That was not quite my meaning. What I meant was that you could think about goals for your race's spread or interaction with others beyond. Say if you took a route such as the Arsuron with their trade posts. They have already created potential bonds that are to develop with time.

You hope to have a nomadic race, yes? So such seems like a good thing to consider as your race may end up learning much more from others.

Pardon if I just say what has already been thought.

Neighbors are great though, one does hope your tiny races unite in great friendship upon that shared mountain.

@Diehard243

Ah yes, definitely. I see what you're trying to say. I suppose my first few interactions will begin with the Rokthan, and maybe eventually to the west.

@Mihndar

Awesome! I'll start posting when I can :D

I wish to apologize for my recent lack of posting, work has been tough. Really bloody tough.

I'll try to get my stuff together and post during the weekend, when I have a chance to rest my head.

So the age of interaction begins.

It will be interesting to see which nations become allies and which become enemies.

Greetings all. Who would be interested in a random occurance?

During the first night of the Soruli's awakening in the rainforest, some did run in utter terror of the night sky (for it looked like many eyes staring down at them).

Two Soruli, over the time that has passed since that first night could have possibly ran on foot toward any place really.

Who would be interested in entering a pool and determining if you've gotten them?

Do PM me if you are interested.

Had looked forward to future interaction as Yelb were first Alvith came into contact with. What is procedure for a race that no longer is being played? Is it we say they just die out or npcs? Would be something to find ruins of species that died out though wouldn't be much at current state of technology overall.

Working on making for my own use a scale to judge relationships with races. Trying to do a sort of point based system where 0 is neutral and negative is bad while positive is good. Once I've got it more ironed out will post it in ooc for anyone that wants to see it. Just making it for my own benefit and so I can judge relations easier and better judge how Alvith will react to things such as war in future.

I'd say at this point in the game we could just have a mass extinction. Disease, mass suicide (as was the case in the previous RP at one point, late game nonetheless.) or starvation.

Or perhaps you could do it as Spore did; their evolutionary/discovery progress simply halts or reaches a standstill. Leaving them less likely to be recognized as a 'nation of a sentient race'.

Perhaps something similar to that of an Ape in our world.

Name of Race: Ghalgren
Pic/Description

Racial Characteristics: Light colored skin, adept for blending in the Tundra environment. Eyes are also lightly colored, perfect for adjusting to sunlight reflecting off the snow.
Race Bio: The Ghalgren are tight knit community, preferring to live in large communities where they can aid each other. They have mastered their cold environment, hunting with ease amongst the animals of the north. They are proficient bow hunters and masters of ambush tactics, hiding on cliffs, in bushes or arounds bends to engage prey in close combat. Food is shared with the community as a whole in large banquet style buffets. Society is based on family prestige, those families with the most influence gain leadership roles amongst the people while doing everything they can to aid those under them. The Ghalgren paint their faces for camouflage, rituals, and for pleasing aesthetic purposes.

Location on Map: Southern tundra region, bordering the ocean and the desert.

Techs: Ghalgren are master archers and fletchers. The create powerful recurve and longbows that are considered works of art amongst the community. The Ghalgren have simple boats of sails and oars and build their homes in a square cabin fashion, using large heavy pine lumber. The Ghalgren, or Ghren as they call themselves, fashion custom arrow heads made of carved stone. These arrow heads are also seen as works of art and are different for every hunter.

Then we have the problem of who would be playing them, a GM or whoever discovers the old territory first? How would they know how they would behave, etc.
