Image of Character:
Name: Ren Young Ming
Nickname: Renyo
Age: 20
"Game Master" Title: The King of Thorns
Gender: Male
Chosen Game Mastery: Starcraft 2
Preferred Weapon(s)/Power-Up(s): Since Ren isn't the best fighter, he doesn't have many offensive weapons. In battle, he carries a Ghost's sniper rifle, with a better scope, which he wished some heroes in SC2 would use. When he played Starcraft, he would play "Cortex" on his own to create models, so he could get an idea of what he would be going for when designing armor and weapons. His main "weapon" is amazing: he can summon Zerg to attack for him. Though he can summon few aliens at a time, he can see what the aliens see, and command them by way of his play style. In the world of Datacore, Ren has psionic abilities, in par with Sarah Kerrigan or ghosts like that, but lesser, of course. The few things he can do are as follows: Creating "mind shields", telekinetically gripping objects, and electrokinesis, or control of electricity.
Appearance: Ren two sets of armour: armor similar to a ghost's, but he has another, which is a lighter format, but (frankly) seems much cooler.the chest piece is the same, but with a helmet along the course of a War Pig and "Master Chief" from Halo. The suit has advanced cloaking, and zealot-like blades. This is what Ren thought future armor textures and weapons might be like in Starcraft 3, if Blizzard would ever make one.
Background: Ren is a hardcore strategy game player, especially if it is real time. If he could pick a different mastery, it would probably be Skyrim, because of the open world, free to explore. Ren is not much of a fighter, but instead uses tactics to get what he lacks in fighting. Before he lodged in with his friends, he was first interested in Starcraft 1 (old old old for his time). He would play for about 10 minutes every day, but then that slowly grew, as he became better. He beat so many people online, and chess class gave an advantage too. When he was 14, he begged for the expansion pack, but his parents wouldn't let him, so he would work every day for money. In fact, he saved up enough money to get SC2 when it came out, 4 years later. He practiced a lot, especially as the Zerg race, and became accustomed to a certain play style and routine. Strategy creeped into his life, and it became a big part of it after months. When he got to college, he was still cooped up in a "hole". Ren majored on art in college, hoping to draw the Terran and Protoss armor designs. So he thought that just "a little" bit of gaming would inspire his art talent. And that's how he ended up in the game world.
Other:
"I'm like a chocolate. Hard on the outside, but creamy inside." The reason Ren does not have Zerg carapace or Protoss armor is because he tended to lean towards Terran design. He liked the Ghosts (special ops) and the Thors (giant walking tanks).
