Gren Orchid

"Good morning."

A simple greeting. Indeed the morning so far has been swell, and the sun is still early on the horizon. Gren wondered why a girl like her was doing in the gardens. Was she a gardener too? Then again no one would look at Gren and imagine that he'd be the type to take care of daffodils. This line of questioning did make Gren hesitate however; he had initiated the conversation, now what was he going to do? Just walk away as if nothing ever happened? He had a physical attraction to this girl at the very least; his baser instincts drove him to act before he planned anything out. First impression was everything, and what he says next would be what defines him. Thinking quickly Gren spoke out.

"Likewise. A pleasant surprised to see a fellow huntress in the gardens. Would you like to have some breakfast?"

Gren wasn't much for introduction, but he finds that offering food was always a good way to establish a friendship. Fortunately for him he had packed lunch, and while he was at the gardens he could whip up something relatively fresh if it's not enough for the the huntress.

Cian | Vale

"First my Name is Cian, my weapon is Multi Variable Assault Rifle. Beyond that I would like everything on this list if possible." She said handing the man a slip of paper that contained all she needed. The paper listing out to the smallest details everything she was looking for from a pair of black short pants and a black tanktop and a white coat that had a black fur trim and a long pair of black leather boots and two pairs of a large leather belt. "Do you believe that you can complete this order? Oh! also do you think you can get a three hair clips that can stand to the stuff we will be facing?" She asked since she was unsure on if the person would be able to complete something like this or not including the hair clips. Looking at both the man and Jack she waited for a response to see if he could do something like this if not she will take her business somewhere else she knew one place but they were a bit pricey at times.

IC: Emerald

Emerald waved goodbye to Krysanthe, before turning to Diamond. "Welp, now that the excitement is over...I'm gonna head back to the dorm, put my usual outfit on, maybe go eat a snack...bye!" She ran off without letting Diamond say a word, giggling. She figured that admitting she was gonna go put clothes on after defending the wearing of pajamas would confuse her, which was what she was hoping for.

She ran out of the gym, heading down the halls rather quickly, why walk when you could run and feel the wind blowing on your face? She continued down the hallway, dodging and weaving random objects and people as she did.

It wasn't long before the dorm that belonged to team MODE was in sight! She slowed down as she reached the door, using her scroll to unlock it, she entered the dorm. She giggled before leaping onto her bed and landing on it tummy first, before she got dressed she wanted to feel how soft her bed was, she tangled herself up in her sheets. She lay there for a few moments, and got to thinking maybe a little nap wouldn't hurt...she was tired from sprinting the whole way to the dorm and laying their felt sooo nice. She closed her eyes...she'd take five minutes.

Maybe fifteen.

Gratia Mindaro - Airship Landing

Chattering students were already dispersing from the urheimat that was the airship's entry/exit bay, filing off the transport and moving out into the city of Vale. Gratia would be joining them soon to explore the kingdom so new to her, and so it would be here that she part ways with the boy that had served as her conversation partner throughout the ride down from Beacon Academy. It was somewhat of a shame; he was a slightly more interesting figure than the other teenagers that surrounded them, but her journey from now on would be travelled on her lonesome.

"The same to you, Luke Schwarz," she replied with little emotion, though her strong, clear (if seemingly accented to non-Mistralese ears) voice held hints that despite her impassive expression, there was an atom-sized amount of respect in her tone.

She would endeavour to keep the boy in mind if she ever saw him amongst the hordes of students in either class or the hallways. Luke Schwarz was not a name she was to forget any time soon.

With one last nod, the Huntress disappeared into the crowd.

Kuhaku Shiro - Roaming the halls, towards the Dormitories

Freshly showered and casually dressed, Shiro walked as he dug a fluffy white towel that was just as white as his hair into his feline ears. One thing that irritated him to no end was attempting to dry out the insides of his ears after bathing. Sure, the rest of his body was squeaky clean and dry, comfortably clothed and all. But no, he always had to fight to get the last bits of moisture out of the confines of his ears. Absolutely annoying. One eye shut tight as he struggled with the towel in each alternating ear, Shiro was dressed simply today. He decided to go out today in a short-sleeved black t-shirt, blue jeans with accompanying belt, and black-and-white sneakers. Not forgetting to include the white bandages that completely covered his arms from the elbows down, of course. Exasperated, Shiro gave up at his attempt to dry out his ears. As he muttered to himself and wrapped his filthy workout attire in the towel, he rounded the corner leading to the team's dormitory only to halt in his tracks. Further down the way, a small trio of students were standing around chatting. Though nothing out of the ordinary as far as general school life was concerned, it was the choice of attire or lack of attire of one of the three that raised a cause for concern. He vaguely recognized the gentleman as another fellow student that attended Practice class with him, but he couldn't remember the guy's name. To add to the oddity of it all, Sapphire was speaking to him about...something. Again, nothing odd there, but seeing his team leader in regular clothing was a little odd. Not that it mattered to him, he hardly saw or spoke to her anyways. There was a third, rather large gentleman conversing with the other two that completed the trio. Shiro tilted his head, his curiosity drawing out this odd slanted habit of his. Scoot, who sat on his shoulders tilted his head with him. Playfully mimicking his 'chauffeur' for no reason other than that.

Shiro recognized the larger gentleman to be Abel. He thought to run up and perhaps say 'Hi' or something to that nature, but ultimately decided against it.

Shaking his head, Shiro made the semi-rare decision to keep to himself and just mind his own business. He had other things to do today and having his mood dampened by Sapphire wasn't on the agenda. Turning away, Shiro opened the door to his room and entered, shutting the door behind him. After tossing his dirty laundry into its appropriate receptacle, Shiro was back out minutes later. With his back turned to the half-naked towel boy, meathead-boy, and...Ms. Rode, Shiro stuffed his bandaged hands into his jean pockets and turned to Scoot with a smile. "So, Scoot. What do you feel like doing today? You want to go into town with me?" The ferret looked up at Shiro excitedly and telepathically exclaimed "Fun!" Grinning, Shiro patted Scoot's head and briskly made his way towards the Airship Docks to catch a ride into the city. He didn't have much planned in all actuality. It never hurt to just go out and do nothing. To just chill and have time to yourself. If all went well today would fly by and classes would start the following day. Peaceful. That was the idea. Honestly, there was no real 'plan' to begin with.

It didn't hit Shiro until just this moment, but the other teams did all return from their missions. He had heard through the grapevine that other teams had been formed and reformed with new replacement students. Though, they weren't what was on Shiro's mind. He wondered how Ms. Sabella's first mission had gone and if she was doing alright. Blinking, he also recalled his terrible first impression on the new team formed from Haven transfer students. He made a mental note to apologize for his disruptive behavior and make some second attempt at restoring his bad image, if he ran into any of them that was.

Jack Orpheus | Vale

"Hmmm let's see...", the old man listened to Cian while reading the note she handed him. This was all fairly simple. Her weapon was a ranged weapon, but it also sounded heavy, and then the hair clips. Compared to other requests, this was quite simple.

"Yes, I can do this, you can come here tomorrow afternoon and it should be ready, the hairclips I can even give to you today, we have some such things on display if you'll look closer to the cabinet on the left", he was right. Along the wall was a bunch of glass cabinets, it was accessories, some of these seemed to be able to react with Dust, while others seemed to merely be sturdy. In any case, they were all pretty stylish, coming in a fair number of colours and designs.

"Those are pretty popular with our female patrons, and not even just Hunters and soldiers either, so we've been making them stylish too because suddenly we're a semi-fashion store...", he gave out a small chuckle after saying this.

"Huh, I never noticed those",

"That's because you always come straight to the counter and not look around", he retorted.

Cian | Vale

Cian smiled as she nodded towards the man in thanks moving towards the mentioned cabinets to look for any that met to her standards. Say what you might about her being a tomboy or ungirly or anything like that one thing that must be kept in mind was that she was very very serious about her look and hair. Looking at the hair clips she found most of them decorated in one shape or another probably for fashion purposes more likely than not. While looking she decided to speak up "how much do these pins cost in order to channel dust? and how much for those that don't?" She asked as she laid her eyes on a three simple looking hair clips that were pure white in color simple they might be they fit her purpose of what she was looking for quite easily.

Luke Schwarz--Landfall

Well, that was pretty pleasant.

Now then!

First things first: Find a bike place! Setting off with just as much gusto as any of the other departees, arguably more, he set off down the first street he saw, mentally going through a checklist in his head about what requirements he had in his choosing of his latest and greatest trusty steed.

Preferably sturdy. Maybe a Basket in the front. The ability to ride double if necessary.

Red?

Red.

That one was a no-brainer.

Did he want one of those foldable ones? The balance between portability and durability was a delicate one, and considering his priorities, tendencies, and general riding style...

Better to not risk something collapsing randomly on him.

To his luck, just at the corner a bike rack greeted his lively gray eyes, accompanied by a small, almost hole-in-the-wall studio.

A specialist! An artisan! A strong use of his newly acquired lien!

Lady luck is smiling upon me today!

He entered the store with boundless enthusiasm.

Jack Orpheus | Vale - Armour Store

"Ah yes, it starts at 50 lien, and ones that channel dust go for up to 150 or so, if you want to go into battle, the ones at 150 lien hold dust and activate to guard against attacks. They're like a helmet really, a very stylish helmet", the old man was ruffling through a few other papers, likely other orders and organizing them.

"If you want to make a stronger one that can be used to attack too, that will have to be special order and approved", as in probably earn credits for those ones, but generally a stylish helmet sounded good.

"That sounds neat, I wish this bit of hair could do that", he commented, referring to the one bright and dagger-like strand of hair on his head.

Gratia Mindaro - Vale

The central business district of Vale was large, populated by towering skyscrapers and hundreds of stores, as well as even a market where merchants of all varieties, earning too little revenue or selling too irregularly to rent a commercial property, peddled their goods amongst the streets of the city. It was not too dissimilar from her own home, Gratia could note, though Mistral was less built-up, with a far more diverse spread of the modern and traditional. Still, both city-states could be positively bustling with people at peak hours. She moved through the immense crowds, squeezing through gaps and every opportunity with nary an apology.

She was intent on visiting locations of interest, fucking idiots swarming at rush hour or not. Her sharp eyes scanned eveery building she passed, burning their location and speciality into memory. The likelhood of her actually bothering to visit them was basically zero, but knowing where things were could be useful.

Even that weirdass club for crackheads she just passed by.

Gratia turned a corner, detaching from the crowds on the main road. What she needed to find now was some form of shopping complex, some giant, gaudy testament to the woes of consumerism to serve as a central location for her explorations. They had more shit than God sometimes.

Standing on the sidewalk, hands tucked into the pockets of her coat and headphones tightly covering her ears, the teenage Huntress exuded a sense of impassive boredom as she marched down the street.

"Exhibitionist?" Robert repeated. "What's an exhibitionist?" The boy began to mull the word over in his head, trying to guess the definition of the new word. "Well let's see, an exhibition is a public display of a skill or item, usually an art piece or something. The suffix '-ist' is used to denote a person who practices or is concerned with something. So an exhibitionist would have to be a person who presents things... Um, so what am I presenting?" he asked with a confused look on his face.

That was when Robert realized that in the time it took him to figure out the definition of exhibitionist, Oswald had already left and was now replaced with the old buddy Abel. Well they probably hadn't been friends long to be considered 'old buddies', but that's beside the point. Forgetting how much clothing, or really lack there of, he was currently wearing, Robert greeted Abel as if nothing was wrong. It was too bad that Abel left almost right after Robert had noticed the guardian's presence.

Turning back to Sapphire, Robert said, "Well thanks for the help anyway. Probably going go searching for someone from my team who can get me back in my room." He chose a random direction and began walking, unfortunately for him, completely missing the tiger-faunus and telepathic ferret that he has been searching for.

Luke Schwarz -- Joyride

Black hair flowing in the breeze.

The wind rushing against his face.

The supremely content grin cast upon his visage.

15 minutes and 200 lien later, Luke Schwarz had obtained perhaps the finest bike he'd ever known. Metallic red paint, a sturdy suspension, the smoothest tires to ever grace the road or sidewalk...

Perfect. Absolutely perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better vehicle if I was the richest man on earth!

...

Well, maybe a car.

But that's pushing it.

Stopping at a crosswalk, he managed to remove himself from his adoration of his sweet new ride, the Road Racer Supreme, and plan his next move.

That is, attempt to plan.

It was too early for dinner, so that was out. What was the next thing on the list, again? He didn't have a real need to shop for anything else, considering he'd brought all his school supplies and such in when he first transferred, right before the mission...

A weaponry shop caught his eye. He didn't need any upgrades yet as far as he knew, but...

A little browsing couldn't hurt.

Crossing the street with speed and smoothness unmatched by any lesser bike, he found a public rack nearby, activated the SmartLock, and, after a few moments of trepidation and suspicious glances at those around him, headed inside.

Vega Venetia – VGNB – Vale – In front of the Armor Store

It had been long day for Vega. She traveled to Vale by taking the airship early in the morning, taking a trip of nothing but sightseeing. She had a great deal of fun with it taking many scenic pictures to post on her Insta for her followers. Already her scenic photo of the different places of Vale attracted likes and follows on her page, only increasing her presence on social media. She had gotten tired though of all the walking she had to do, and try to bypass every guy and girl that tried to come on to her because of the summery outfit she wore.

Vega found a bench in front of an armor store. This is a good place to relax. Taking a glance of the store and seeing the figures of students inside, she then crossed her legs and began passing the time with her phone. This usually meant looking at photos on Instagram checking Facebook and Twitter. While looking at her phone, she held a pensive look.

Sarina Tala Dei – SC – Beacon – SC Dorm

As for Sarina, well she was tired to. Yesterday she had to rearrange the entire bedroom to accommodate Clair and the two future team members, if they do arrive. Also she assisted VGNB in setting up their rooms, including the furniture that came from their home and was burned out. Sarina lied down on the couch in front of the television watching sit-coms, reality shows at a low volume, until she fell asleep while the television played in the background.

"I see very well I will take three of these plain white ones that channel dust than please." She stated as she went to her jacket pocked to fetch the required funds. Taking out the 450 lien she snapped her wallet closed and placed it back in the pocket moving forward to the counter she waited for the man to get her requested items than look into getting that hair cut finally. Looking back at Jack she spoke up "That is all I will probably need since the clothes will be ready tomorrow but I would like to thank you for escorting me this far. Though I guess if you wanna continue more we can but all I am doing after this is getting the haircut." She stated after all she did not want to be a burden for him despite everything.

Oswald Connolly- Team MODE dorm

Entering the Team MODE dorm room, Oswald chuckled at the sight of Emerald tangled up in the blankets, walking over to his belongings and picking out a decent set of clothes for the day on the town with Sapphire. Unlike Sapphire, however, his casual attire was nearly identical to what he wore under his combat gear- a white collared shirt and a pair of black pants. For a few moments, he considered taking his brigandine with him, but decided against it.

He also spent a short while debating bringing his sword and dust, but again decided against it. His physique was enough to deter any random fight-starters, and failing that, he would easily be able to fight off all but another hunter-in-training.

Deciding that he was ready, Oswald made his way to the door before pausing and turning to his teammate. "Hey, Emerald, going to shower, then go out on the town with Sapphire for a while." Making sure that he could get back into his room, Oswald grabbed his necessities and made his way to the showers.

Gratia Mindaro - Vale Streets/Front of Armour Store

Gratia marched through the streets, skillfully weaving through crowds as she decided upon her next course of action. The shopping complex she had visited only minutes prior had been boring-as-fuck, with a limited inventory of goods that she could have easily found at stores scattered elsewhere in the city-state. It hadn't even been a central enough location to serve as a satisfactory meeting place, thereby rendering that entire plan to be fucking fruitless. A quiet growl escaped her lips, expression contorting slightly into one of annoyance. A few people nearby immediately distanced themselves, noticing the irritation rolling of her in waves.

That had been a shitty waste of time.

She schooled herself, expression reverting to one of impassivity and posture straightening to exude a more professional aura. As expected, the consumerist facilities of the city were fucking cunt-baskets, but what of everything else? She threw her lollipop stick in a nearby trash can. The huntress endeavoured to examine as many other stores (if not useless, overpriced shitsinks) as possible; she was not allowing a failed venture to a mall to be all that was her day.

The streets here were a lot less busy. Gratia could actually walk without being surrounded by the sweaty, unwashed fucktards of Vale.

"Venetia," she greeted in her succinct, offhanded tone, not even bothering to spare a glance for the familiar girl sitting on the bench she was walking past.

Jack Orpheus | Vale - Armour Store

"Hey it's fine! What're friends for?", he responded. The shopkeep simply finished the transaction and handed Cian her new hair clips. Jack packed away his coat, he still had the bags of prizes from before. So he was pretty full up right now.

"Well... If it's just a trim I could...", you can guess what he was meaning to say, but he stopped himself.

"Uhh, nevermind...", as he said this, he heard the store's entrance bell and turned instinctively to see, and it was a familiar face. Luke.

"Oh hey Luke! How's it goin'?", he asked.

Sapphire Rode - Beacon Academy

Sapphire turned slightly pink when Abel referred to her and Oswald spending time together as a 'date' before he departed. Sure Oswald was reasonably good looking in a rugged sort of way but she was not in any way looking for that sort of relationship. Fact was she likely would barely be able to hold together a casual friendship. The most she was hoping for was that if they hit it off she would gain a fighting partner. This definitely wasn't a date.

Sapphire was broken from her thoughts as Robert oblivious to what had been going through her head tried to verbally discern exactly what an exhibitionist was. Sapphire's momentary embarrassment vanished completely as her sure footed attitude along with an incredulous smile replaced it. She nearly laughed as Robert went through his mental logic out loud and finally gave up on figuring it out. If she'd been the one lacking information she'd have bluffed her way through it and looked the subject up later on in private. Robert was apparently much less closed off even about his own naivety.

Moments later he too took his leave and Sapphire decided that now was a good time to do as she had planned earlier and have breakfast. She enjoyed waffles and copious amounts of whipped cream and brown sugar before deciding that perhaps she should bring her fiddle along for the day's festivities. If they were going to the Music Box than chances were Uncle Danny would expect her to play a song or too. If she really pushed he wouldn't force her to play but he had a way of savoring her music that Sapphire had never seen in her father. Sapphire returned to the dorm to fetch it before going out.

It occurred to her that in order to play she'd have to remove the white gloves that she always wore. They looked a little out of place with the outfit she wore today fitting in better with her battle gear but Sapphire really didn't want to expose her hands to the sight of others. No doubt her team and a couple others had noticed the scars that ran over her palm and a couple of her fingers but it wasn't something that she was keen to show off. She didn't really fancy Oswald seeing them but she wasn't going to great trouble to hide them. If he saw them... well she was well practiced in the art of deflecting questions.

With her battered fiddle case strung over her shoulder Sapphire decided to walk the halls for awhile. Beacon had a most beautiful campus and a week was hardly enough to explore it thoroughly. No doubt in time she'd find all the school's secrets for a place this old had to have many but for now getting to know the layout was enough.

After several minutes of walking Sapphire stumbled on Beacon's agricultural building. Mostly it was used to grown the organic foods the kitchens used but if a student requested it they were allowed to have a portion sectioned off to act as a garden. Sapphire was aware that Gren had a such a plot and so was unsurprising to see him through the glass of the building.

He however wasn't the only one inside. There was someone else in the room with the boar. It was a girl with startlingly red hair and pale skin. The cloak she wore was grey with streaks that complimented her hair. Sapphire had never seen her before, she must be new to the school. Sapphire glanced between the two of them before realizing that Gren was slightly flushed. Admittedly it was hard to tell with his particular brand of faunus and through the glass of the house but Sapphire was fairly certain that he was much more crimson than normal. That could of course be due to heat but Sapphire got the impression that it was for a completely different reason.

Smirking slightly Sapphire decided that walking in on this scene while more then likely amusing would probably make her late to meet Oswald at the airdocks. With that in mind Sapphire left the boar faunus to his romances.

Packing away the hair clips she was about to leave when she saw Luke come in. Well now wasn't this a surprise the only one missing was Mokuren but it was probably a good thing she wasn't here considering her standard attitude. "Hello Luke I hope you are well?" She asked since it was only polite after all. Plus they were team mates it was probably for the best that they at least have some interaction with each other to build up teamwork or something along those lines she supposed. Still she was unsure on if she leave for her haircut or just stay and see what Luke was up up. Plus Jack wanted to come for reasons unknown to her beyond his whole in it till the end deal he seems to be on.

IC: Emerald

Emerald's ears flicked when Oswald entered the room. She wasn't all that heavy of a sleeper, with the sharp ears that she had. She wondered what he was chuckling about as he entered the room. She slowly pushed her body up, holding herself up with her arms, sheets still covering her, it made her look like a small hill rising in the bed, except with furry ears. Then Oswald said something about taking a shower and then going into town with a girl named Sapphire. Emmy thought it was a nice name.

Before she could ask him more about it, he'd already walked out the door. Well, that was okay, he'd have to come back to the dorm after he showered. She was wondering if she could tag along, maybe bring Diamond too. It wouldn't hurt to ask.
