No, he's not dead. Idk how much I can say without giving away major plot points, but he's a Secret Service agent that was sent to investigate the disappearance of these other agents and he can't escape the town he's in. I'd recommend the books first because you get more than the show gives you, but the series is really well done. It's acted nicely, and visually, it's gorgeous. I guess it helps that it's set below a mountain and everything is green and pretty, haha.

Lmao, no. Why would it be? It was described to me as people going to investigate this expanding stretch of land called Area X and then there's mutated animals and stuff, apparently it's very Lovecraftian and I really like a good monster.

What are you taking? Maybe you just haven't found the right antihistamine.

Hooray! I've got a few things to finish up, but I'm so ready to get back to this.

That sounds pretty interesting! I'm glad he's not dead. I still would like to know where I got that idea from but I knew he couldn't leave for some reason and everyone was kind of cool with the town except for him. It sounds like a nice mystery without being too cliche. At least I hope it isn't cliche but it does sound like something I'd pick up. And the show did look well crafted, how is the acting?

The title made me think of a western or something ^^; But that sounds cool, I hope it's an excellent read!

I dunno, Laratardine or something like that, plus whatever generic antihistamine I have. >_< I can finally see why people with allergies are so miserable, I will be a lot more sympathetic.

Oh yes, me too. I am sure the Capitol is ready for more action too~!

Not everyone is okay with the town, haha. He does look pretty crazy at first, but the town is really fucked up and that gets explained much sooner in the books than it does in the series but I'm gathering the show follows the same timeline as the books, it's just adapted for TV. It doesn't feel cliche from what I've seen/read. The acting is good! Matt Dillon plays the main character and he's lovely. Juliette Lewis is in it, and so are Terrance Howard and Melissa Leo. I genuinely like everyone else except the son.

Oh, haha. I guess I could see that. I was like, why horses? But southern, so yeah.

That guy I'm talking to recommended Mucinex? He's got bad allergies, but so does my mom and she just pops an Allegra every day.

Haha, I'm sure they are. The Capitol is so rude, tbh.

Terrance Howard is pretty dope. The show has been praised, so I recall. I'm glad the books are more upfront about things but hey tv gots to reel in the viewership. I'm sure with the show in full swing now, that they might be reprinting the books with some newer cover design for the fans liike they did with Hunger Games. I'll have to keep my eye out cause my Barnes and Noble is going out of business which means sales. :3

I think I thought south, like maybe home on the range...with horses? ^^; Actually that's more west, thanks to my history class. Oh btw, did I mention I got all Bs in my classes? I'm still just taking 3 for the fall but come winter I may take 4 again if I can.

Oh yeah we have that. We keep forgetting to use it too but that could actually help. I hadn't thought of that. I think Allegra helps, we may have that but we still use the off-brand Kirkland stuff. Heh.

Well their popcorn is getting cold, or whatever they eat...hearts of children perhaps?

The first book has the cover re-design from the show but the other two still have the original artwork. I definitely didn't mind Matt Dillon's face on my book, haha.

Oh, that's great! Are you off probation then, or what?

Off brand totally gets the job done most times, haha. But yeah, the allegra works fine for me and my mom's been taking it for a solid year. Her allergies got really bad to the point where she couldn't do much of anything.

Probablyy. It's not hard to imagine them being cannibals.

Oh yes, off probation. ^^ Racking up credits and I think halfway done with my major requirements so I'm in good shape, trying to get a job on the school paper too if it can pay.

I know my parents take them often as well, some small yellow or white pills depending on time of day. I hope allergies don't get worse as you get older.

As long as it's prepared nicely and served to them in a fancy way, I'm sure they'd eat anything.

That's awesome c: I'm glad that everything got sorted out for you and you're back on track.

Allergies are just the worst, tbh. Popping up all over the place when they have no business interrupting your life. I'm still salty about the peanut thing.

Probably? Like? What creeps. Although the society in general is interesting.

Thanks, me too!

Fuck allergies man, the human body is so damn weird. It's a shame about the peanuts. Adult allergies are rotten luck. Being young and invincible was a simpler time...

I'd love to see a day in the life of some random Capitol dude because I doubt they have much stress, sure they work but it's probably real stress-free with glitz and glam. >__> Neon spray painted and stuff.

I feel old and decrepit D; and I'll never have peanut butter again and that takes a certain amount of joy out of my life. What am I supposed to have now? Nutella? I:

Do they work? I imagine their jobs are like, perfume spritzer at the mall, aha.

Nutella is good but it's not substitute for thick yummy peanut butter...I can't imagine how annoying that is. I doubt I'd want to risk it, even for just a bite of a Reeses. :/ You are a strong person.

I thought the third book mentioned they work but it's like...not that much work. It was so long ago, i don't recall. I don't know what the last movie will do about the whole sneaking in thing...ah well. Not our problem! We're doing something better, much better.

I've never actually had it, haha. I never understood why everyone was all over it, so being the asshole that I am, I decided that I wanted nothing to do with it. But yeah, it sucks. A lot of my favorite foods have peanuts or peanut butter in them. I think the worst part is not even being able to have a convenient PB&J when I'm busy.

Oh, that's right. They owned all those shops in the little mall district. Didn't they film in Paris? I think it will look nice. I still haven't seen Mockingjay Part 1.

PB&J is good, I like plain PB with a nice glass of milk for a midnight snack. I'm sure having to make sure foods when dining out, don't have nuts in them can be hard, even more so when you are allergic now and getting used to it, as opposed to having to suffer and get used to it at a younger age. Are allergies genetic you think?

Yeah they had dinky shops but it was pretty low key iirc. I guess their biggest hardship would be picking out an outfit but Effie seems to do okay. I feel so bad for her getting involved in this mess, she really does mean well. ^^;

I also liked that a lot! Or peanut butter on graham crackers with some milk. And I don't think going out to eat will be THAT much of a problem and I don't think my allergy is so serious that I can't have peanuts near me or my food but in a way, it will probably force me to eat healthier. I mean, I can always get a salad or something that obviously doesn't have peanuts in it, and the only thing I really cared about was still being able to eat at my favorite Chinese place, haha. But no, not that I know of! I just got this random af allergy as an adult.

I really love Effie, tbh <3

At least it's not too severe, and you know about it. Maybe one treat now and then with caution might be okay. I know if I was allergic to something, it would be hard to stay away because humans want what they can't have. And yeah, I need to eat better too. Can you have walnuts and other nuts? Those might be an okay substitute?

Idk, I really don't want to chance it because I haven't been to the doctor for it. All I need is to have a Reese's Cup and have my throat close and then die because I was being ridiculous, haha. As far as I know, other nuts are fine! I had almonds not too long after I found out I was allergic and that went normally, cashews and walnuts too. As long as nothing has been roasted or cooked in peanut oil, I think I'm good.

That's interesting, I hope there's a decent sub for peanut butter then, there are some good nuts out there. And cheese is good too. Cheese and fruit can make you feel fancy and guilt free!

Someone told me to try something that's like peanut butter, but it's made out of sunflower seeds? The name escapes me. And yeah, at least I have cheese, haha.

Oh yeah, there is almond butter and I'm sure Trader Joes has some good solutions like that, butters that don't contain the ever so popular peanut haha. Being lactose intolerant used to be bad but these days, most things can be made without it. Praise dairy~

I don't think we have a Trader Joe's around here, haha. I think I told you that our closest Whole Foods is like 45 minutes away.

Whole Foods might have something or you could look online but then again I'd hate to buy something online only to have it taste away or cause the allergic reaction. :/ But then again, driving out for Whole Foods seems like a bit much...I wish they'd deliver like our other grocery chain.
