I don't really follow the creators of games too much, but it is sad to lose a member of the Nintendo team, being as it is. I see no reason why it can't be brought up. I'm more in tune with Nintendo products than RWBY and I have to say any hit on Nintendo is a big hit on both me and my childhood.
It was the same with Robin Williams and Steve Irwen (I still don't know how to spell his last name.) They, like with Iwata, represented a pretty large part of my childhood. I grew up watching Steve and idolizing Robin Williams. And so, I also grew up playing Mario Party and Mario Kart. Mario Party, despite being such a friendship killing game, was what brought my family together. And maybe my view now of what was then is a bit warped, but still.
Anyway, I didn't mean to get on such a huge... tangent. But, Iwata will be missed and I'm certain somewhere along the line, Nintendo will instill his memory into one of their games in a lovely fashion that will honor him. :3

Also, I saw Inside Out today. Fantastic movie, I must say. But it really irritated me too. -shrugs-
