I find it interesting that a few of our species' cultures have such an emphasis on the moon, including mine.

The Ashen are semi-atheist. They don't believe in any gods aside from their Alphas. Will be updating my race sheet today with all the missing info there is. (There is a lot missing.)

We're going to transition away from moon-worship quite quickly, as things become clearer about the world.

Expect a fairly large post soon, I've been working on it for a while.

I've been cooking up a religion for some time now. It may be some time before the prophet arrives, but it should really diversify the Night-Walker culture from the "basic tribe" structure that currently acts as my placeholder.

The Platta don't have a concept of gods, so in that sense they are atheist. They do however think the symbolic meaning of all things can be found in colors. To them, it is another sense, and not even figuratively. Their brains are built in a way where it works like one. The way the symbolism applies has some variance like music taste. We might like different music forms and think some are too loud or too boring, but we recognize it as the same song. The Platta don't know others lack this sense, though.

Society Religion, unlike other religions, denies any type of moral code or truths as stated in the "Hymn of the Fool" which contains the quote
"O triumphant soul of Oxameter, you march a million miles into the bleakness of time, and with it comes reality. But not all are convinced, O tyrant of the skies, and to them you grant a sun. One that sits above their mind and soul and melds that of falsehood to the sciences. Great children of Tzeentch, watch for the souls who bear the name of good and evil, for truth sits not with them. Remember, truth sits not with kings or queens of their right, nor with what your desires dictate. Truth sits where truth pleases, and thus all is right."
Also unique to Society religion is the perception of the gods. The three gods of the Society are not viewed as mere deities, but as concepts. Tzeentch is chaos, infinity, and everything while Oxameter is will, power, and strength and Khorne is death, wisdom, and enlightenment.

Gonna get one up detailing the Arsuron's methods of Slave Raiding

Also, for a look at how the Arsuron have changed since the Stone Age, compare the last picture I took to represent them (not my drawing), and compare to this one I did draw to show Chief AnreH at her current age of 4 usrog (20 years) old

Also is her name in Archaic(Stone Age), Bronze Age, the future Iron Age, and liturgical Monastic script

Saurians have not yet developed the concept of a deity. I also forgot.

They have a few beliefs and they have an idea of honor, but nothing's set in stone.

Hi everyone! PLayers from the older iterations of the RP will certainly remember me, and as for the other ones, I hope we'll get along just right.

Name of Race : Isáwa (pronounce Ee-sa-wah)
Pic/Description : http://i.imgur.com/ysaXY0n.jpg The Isáwa are a humanoid species, measuring on average 1.2-1.8 meters high. They are omnivorous, eating mostly berries, insects, fish and other small animals. They have residual hair, usually white, and are generally colored beige to grey, with the occasional white or black individual. Their eyes can be colored black, red, lavender, orange, deep blue and seldom gold, with a white iris.

Racial characteristics : Having evolved in wide open prairies carved up by deep canyons, the Isáwa have developed an extremely keen sense of vision ; they can see small objects fairly well at a distance of up to 100 meters. Furthermore, they have excellent stamina, and possess a retractable claw on their hand, as well as sharp claws on their feet, which aide them in climbing the steep cliffs of their homeland. What is most peculiar perhaps, with the Isáwa, is the way they reproduce. The two appendages falling from their cranium are in fact reproductive organs, which also double as a tool of sensory exchange between individuals, conveying moods and emotions. To reproduce, the Isáwa, which are hermaphroditic, must first connect their appendages, which results in the exchange of the gametes. One of the individuals must then proceed to fertilize a third indivual, which will incubate the resulting embryo for the next 6 months.

Race bio : The existence of only one gender- every individual is potentially the mate of any other – and the necessity of having three Isáwa cooperate to breed, have fostered a generally peaceful culture founded upon the values of trust and solidarity. Isáwa society values above everything else honesty, sometimes to a fault, community, justice, and transparency. The Isáwa worldview is structured by the cult of Šewár (pronounce Shé-wahr with a rolled r ), an all-encompassing deity which comprises all of nature, existence, time, concepts, and extends infinitely beyond. Šewár possesses three main aspects, Onúma (Oh-noo-ma), who gives life, Kyewón (Kyeh-won) who preserves and nurtures life, and Bahéra (Ba-hey-ra), who takes life and lets the cycle begin anew. Under these are numerous other deities, each corresponding to a force or feature of nature, a moral concept, etc.

Location of map : To the south of the great mountain range, between the two rivers.

Techs (specifically those not already given) : canoe, colored pigments
List of important characters :
Sôwán- current coordinator of the Eláda settlement
Muwáya- Shaman of sorts, artist.
Veláh- best hunter
Gyôgon- best berry gatherer
Dokûra- best crafter
Places : Main settlement called Eláda (Home)
8 other settlements

Thanks Mihndar!

I'll try to post as soon as possible, but I can't guarantee anything.

Edit: I sure hope so. I hope there won't be too much competition though, not to mention the slave-raids haha.

Edit 2: Everyone, I have a suggestion for a more precise timekeeping system. So as to keep track of time, yet simultaneously leave enough freedom to each player, we could establish a system where a given number of pages, say 5, would correspond to a given period of time, say 100 years. Any post in these 5 pages could take place at any point during these 100 years. A post on the 6th page, however, would necessarily take place during the following century, unless someone urgently needs to close a storyline, of course. If you wish, you could have all your posts follow each other in quick succession over the course of just a few years, for the sake of continuity, or you could just as well decide to have each post separated from the next by a couple years, except, naturally, for conversations and interactions with other races, which would be dated from the post in which they started.

Welcome back to the roleplay, Veoline.

Regarding the precise timekeeping system, I think that it could work. Perhaps it could also be helped if each part is explained which time period (group of pages) a part refers to. For example:

Era of pages 21-25: blah
Era of pages 26-30: blah

I think as it could be anywhere in those 100 years, side stories only affecting one's own race could take place in different parts as well as long as they can be reasonably timed. If one story ends up in a city destruction, but the player wants to continue a side story that needs the city intact, it could be said to have happened earlier before the city was destroyed.

What does everyone else think?

While the idea itself is pretty good, it could be troublesome for those that are not able to post as much as others, as well as for those that interact with a lot of other nations, making it tough to get a post about the race itself through. For an example I am currently interacting with the Society and the Soruli, which means that for the last 6-7 pages or so (Don't quote me on that.) I had done no progress for the Ashen themselves.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. Do you mean that in each post, each player would specify at what point during the 100 years each storyline would take place? If that's the case, I certainly think that would be a good idea.

@Raindeer

I understand your objection. Perhaps we could extend the number of pages corresponding to a period of time to 10, or more, which should allow everyone to complete several storylines including some concerning only their own species. Since the creation of the RP, the players have only written 10 pages, so it would seem a pretty good compromise. To compensate for the greater number of pages, we could also extend the time period to 200 years, if anyone cares.

Even then I have doubts in it going to make things work better for those of us that interact a lot. At least now in the beginning. I would have to write posts the size of a smaller book to get everything I want said/done within that timespan, which is something I extremely rarely have the time for.

I feel like it may also discourage interactions because of that pressure to further your race to not get left behind in the dust like a tribe in the rainforests of earth shooting arrows at planes as they fly by.
