two things,

first, It was Alex who was in trouble. They for some reason are Taking Nai and Urick as well, arresting all three of them.

second, Nai is in Alex's arms at the moment Braska stepped in.

Just saying people get peeved with power play damage to character without permission (at least that severe and serious) xD but I understand why so it's all good

The thing is if it was from another player I would have agreed with you with the power play. but the fact that I'm the GM, and this is for plot purposes I really didn't need permission to push it along as I deemed it good for every character involved, and future involvement. The whole point of this force reaction is to help build the characters more and throw in side winders.

The greatest stories never go perfectly. Even Urick got hit in the nards, and he is a master of martial arts, his reaction time would have been much higher than anyone there. But for the reason it's a plot device.

As for Alex, she really just got tazed, while Nai did get the most of it due to her body and being kicked in the Gut, it's still not as bad, even if she is really frail.

The one thing I don't really see as happening is Alex kneeing Lenora in the face before she shocked her, there would have been barely a second from after she 'phased' and shocked her. For the sake of the situation, and plot building reasoning.

I cant stress enough how much this is for character building and humbling. which every great story needs. And if you look at it they are still kids, on the beginning of their journey they can't breeze through everything, and some things happen beyond their control. which makes the writing all the more realistic and enjoyable to read.

So. In ending, sorry if you didn't like it, but just know now for the sake of the plot and our enjoyment, more random things like this will happen to the party.
