DMZ I have become rabbit, the destroyer of carrots!

Member Seen 4 yrs ago

@SigilSpecifically the following part:

The wards on the fence did their work to good effect, destroying many of the figures after but a single touch, but they were rapidly getting weaker as more and more pushed in. The weaker parts of the shielding soon vanished completely...

@DMZ
Edit done, tone changed somewhat, Paladin doing Paladin things.

Personally, I've always pictured Turning Undead looking something like this:

Too bad we can't have a Half-Orc Stare...

@SigilI've always pictured it as either a force push or mind control, depending on the cleric.

Will do. Best of luck doing whatever it is that prevents 'net service. Sounds positively horrifying.

Unless it involves bacon. Exceptions can be made for bacon.

@SigilMountain climbing. reception is terrible and super expensive. If you reply to my post within the next 20 hours, I'll be able to respond again before I leave.

As usual, if you want to do some actions that happen in the middle of my timeline, say so and you can edit them in; i will edit my post accordingly.

Couple of questions:

Interested in helping the Captain not die. More specifically, this isn't the kind of guy that likes others to fight instead of him. With, sure. Not so much for. That would put us in a situation similar to earlier, however. That in mind, if it comes down to it, how far away are we from Cap?

The voice in his head - this particular character just came out of a game where a spirit attached itself to him. He's becoming quite the spiritual medium, it seems. He could communicate with it by speaking out loud or by articulating the words in his head. It gave him a kind of crazy vibe to the rest of his group at first, but he learned to deal with it effectively until the spirit's business was through and it went on. Nonetheless, is this a similar situation, as far as Keystone can tell? He has some questions for his new involuntary best friend.

The Captain is the last line of defense between you and the attacking horde, and he's a few meters away from you (about ten feet). His fighting guards are ahead of him, and currently holding off the main horde. Next to the Cpt there are the archers with magical bows and arrows, currently effectively holding back the horde.

The spirit in Keystone's head is like a second voice in his head, and is much less intrusive than any kind of spirit that actually hijacks a spot inside his head. It's just there, occupying some physical space inside of him(not noticeable). You can try talking to it, see how it responds.

The last tenant to rent a room in his head didn't quite hijack. It wouldn't shut up a lot of the time, mostly whispering at him to do things or offering its opinion, wanted or no. One time it did make him sleepwalk, though. Eventually, he was able to put up a privacy screen of sorts between it and himself, but that's a different animal, I'm guessing.

Asking! Of course, makes perfect sense. The Captain has a few seconds at least, guess now's as good a time as any.

@SigilI think you will find that Keystone will have a different relationship with this spirit.

@DMZ
So, to be clear: The Captain's sword fell on the road, he fell into our carriage, and until we get to Telflamm this ride isn't stopping. Posting tonight.

EDIT
Edited CS to account for the dagger, ring, and scrolls that we pulled from Reverin and his tower. Neglected to do so earlier.

@SigilWell, if you want to jump off the carriage and face the knight for a sword...

The ride to Teflamm is uniterrupted, unless you deliberately wanted to jump off sooner. I could rewrite my post to reflect that, but I thought I'd take you to the most interesting town for a man of your skills.

The rest you are correct on.

EDIT: Damn your posts are fun to read. This is the kind of player I like. Inquisitive and willing to go off the beaten track.

Quite ok with leaving the sword in the road. If a guy, dead or not, can hurl something sharp across a field and pierce a steel breastplate, I'm staying under soft cover and letting someone else take the reins, thanks.

Also, big city with lots of people better equipped to defend themselves. Good call.

@StiggmataComments on the CS:

Search is a skill, and having it as an ability isn't going to do much good if I don't know how good you are at it. You can leave it in abilities, and I could use the rolls based on your wisdom and some other stats, or you could move it to skills(keeping the 10 limit on those) and give it an appropriate level.

Apart from that, please do expand your backstory. I use it in the RP, so the bigger it is, the more useful it is to me.
