Saburo kept watch over the meeting, though he didn't quite interfere when Daiki and Yamato nearly started a battle in the middle of the hall. It would've been spectacular to see, though Saburo realized that there were limits to the Sharingan that were likely not realized by Daiki at this point. Perhaps that was because he'd lived in the seclusion of the Naito clan, only receiving 'training' from someone who was barely there to begin with. Perhaps Saburo could help Daiki with that, to become better with the sharingan. Maybe then he'd have a chance against Yamato. Maybe.
Saburo's eyes went down from the scene and he started writing down the things that were said again. It was surprising it'd gone unnoticed for so long, but with the Naito leaving, the attention returned to Kaito Maru. A sly creature, that one. Saburo looked up when he heard something about the 11th corps, looking at Kaito as Kaito looked at him. Saburo simply listened to the accusation, smiled, and looked down again, writing down what was said.
“I'd be a bad shinobi if I didn't report this to Fujitora.” Saburo mumbled to himself, glancing up only to see the Hojo leaving as well. It'd seem like the meeting was over now, and more people started leaving. All in all not much exciting things had happened, though it was quite useful information to know that even Kaito didn't wish to go against Ayame and Fujitora.
Despite being on a 'mission' here, Saburo figured he'd have some more time to report the findings later, to either Ayame or Fujitora. Likely Ayame, since he was currently assigned on guard duty to her. And he had some other duties to attend to as well.. decisions, decisions. Ultimately he already knew what he'd have to do before even thinking about it all. He left through the large doors and walked outside, glancing left and right to find the Naito.. no, Uchiha boy, not much farther. The Hojo seemed to have taken an interest in them - that was peculiar. Would they be moving against the Minamoru soon? It was quite funny, to see how the petty clans squabbled for power and allies, not knowing just what was going to happen in the future, where 'politics' didn't control much in the end. In truth, the same could be said of the Uchiha. A sad sad thing if you asked Saburo. But Saburo wasn't quite the same as the rest of the Uchiha, he wasn't a clansman, he was an 11th corps member. The interest in the Uchiha was just something that he had personally.
Slowly Saburo would walk over, adjusting the gunbai on his back before stopping near the group, raising a hand and waving at the group in it's entirety.
“Hello, Konoha comrades. I hope the Sage of the Six Paths has blessed your day today, and if he hasn't, then I hope he shall do so soon!” He bowed lightly before the Hojo's, and then before the Naito clan leader. He skipped Daiki, however, as they were now equals, and besides that, they were also clanmembers, even if Daiki hadn't fully realized it. Him showing up with the Naito leader was to be expected really, so short after the change.
“I'm sorry miss Naito-sama, but am I free to borrow Daiki for now? I fear I have need of him.” Saburo shot a short glance at the Hojo's as well, wondering if they wanted to speak to the Naito woman in this dinner of theirs, or Daiki as well.
“Uchiha Daiki, please come with me. I have something I wish for you to see.” he said with an eerie smile, before bowing again in front of the group and then turning around and leaving them. For such a strange boy, atleast he remembered his manners. Saburo then left the scene, hopefully with Daiki in tow, heading for the Downtown area. But before crossing into that area, he stopped at the border of the Downtown district and would enter a very large, nice looking building. It would be recognised as the 11th corps headquarters right away by Daiki, given that it wasn't very well hidden in that regards. Though, besides the fact that he'd recognise it as the headquarters, Daiki probably wouldn't have any idea what was actually below the large building.
Saburo would pass the receptionist, waving at her shortly in an almost robotic manner. The receptionist didn't return the favour, only looking at Saburo, and if he'd decided to come, offering Daiki only a short glance before looking at the screen in front of her, working away. Saburo walked right into the elevator and would then press the down button, and send the elevator in it's way. The entire time, Saburo would look at Daiki with a smile, but he'd never say a word. Suddenly a loud
PING! broke the silence, before a woman's voice, though obviously robotic, said
'Area B, please present safety card issue 2.v132. or security clearance pass. Thank you!' Saburo walked outside and pulled a card from his pocket, presenting it to the scanner in front of him. A nearby shinobi watched carefully as Saburo did so, though he visibly noticed that it was Saburo, and that he knew him. As the scanner beeped loudly, the Shinobi relaxed a bit, nodding at Saburo.
“Good afternoon, 11th corps senpai. I am bringing with me Uchiha Daiki. Security clearance B has been granted, as well as special privileges for a duty I am currently fulfilling.” The shinobi only nodded and glanced at Daiki, who would then be let through without any more troubles.
Saburo headed through the hallways, navigating himself effortlessly, a goal clear in his mind. He closed in on a large, double door, and opened it. Beyond it was.. a large, well lit, but very long tunnel. The end was not so clear in sight, though from the distance you could see that there was an end. Saburo walked into it and would expect Daiki to follow. After about 15 minutes of slow paced walking, they'd finally reach the end, where Saburo would open the doors, and reveal a very white room. There were control panels on the wall, as well as a door leading into an even bigger white room. To the right, a hallway extended leading to several more of these rooms. Saburo would listen carefully, hearing signs of combat inside of the room right in front of them.
“This one is taken, Uchiha Daiki. Let us go to another one.” Following his eerie message, Saburo would walk down the hall and then into the control room, opening the door from a panel and then extending an arm into it.
“Please enter.”If Daiki chose to accept the offer, the door would shut behind him tightly, and he'd be stuck inside the white room. Soon after Daiki was in, and he'd no doubt wonder what the hell was going on, a voice would ring through an intercom.
“Commencing in 3, 2, 1. Kai!” After that, the world would flash brightly for Daiki before becoming visible again, showing him a world of green. In front of him was a grove of trees, and to his left and right, endless fields of grass and flowers. Behind him was a small shack, with smoke coming from the chimney. He'd be able to do whatever he wanted, explore, walk through the forest, enter the shack, he could even roll in the flowers if he was so inclined.
After 15 minutes of letting Daiki play around in the simulator, the voice rang through the intercom again.
“Commencing training program 1.1a. Kai!” After the seals were activated again, the world flashed brightly again before letting Daiki return to his exact former position, except now there were 2 training opponents in front of him. They stood still in a fighting stance, and didn't move. They'd only move to block Daiki's attacks, and would always block with an impossible speed. The blocks were so soft however, they couldn't possibly harm Daiki, and the opponents never attacked back. After letting him do his thing for 5 minutes, the simulation shut down.
The world flashed brightly for Daiki again, before turning to darkness. Slowly the light in the simulation room would come back on, and the door would open. Saburo would be standing there with a specialised engineer at his side, who'd been manning the simulation programs for him.
“The 11th corps trains using this, it's quite interesting isn't it? I've never been able to figure out just how they do it, but it certainly helped me become stronger. Now let's go, I want to show you something else. Something that can prove to you, that the 11th corps is only here to protect and serve Konoha. Judging from what I heard, the Naito do the same? So we are quite similar, in a way, don't you think, brother?” There was a special kind of focus on the word brother, to make Daiki believe they were a family now. Atleast, that's what Saburo thought when he thought of Daiki. They were family. It was factually true, however Daiki probably still was quite reserved in that regards, since he'd remained with the Naito clan. It bothered Saburo a bit.
Saburo left the simulation room, and as they passed the first simulation room again they'd hear screams of agony and pain, while the engineer stood idly by, using some buttons on the panel. As he pressed some buttons, the screams got worse. It seemed like every day bussiness to Saburo, however, and it went largely ignored. There wasn't even a hint of emotion on his face as he passed by. They would walk down the hallway again and walk up to the elevator, and Saburo greeted the shinobi on guard briefly before entering the elevator and pressing the down button again.
PING! Area D-1, please present your official papers regarding your clearance, or leave the vicinity of this area. Thank you!Saburo pulled out a set of papers from his pocket, holding it out as he left the elevator. A set of four shinobi stood by, obviously strong shinobi given their looks and scars. One of them took the papers, read them throughout and took almost a full quarter of an hour to do so. Finally, he nodded, and gave Saburo the OK. They glanced at Daiki, but didn't ask anything, so seemingly something in the papers must've given Daiki clearance to pass too.
Saburo would walk ahead and take a few turns, going from what seemed to be mainly a storage area into an area with many rooms. When passing the storage area, Daiki could see numerous things, ranging from boxes filled with kunai, shuriken and explosive tags, to more exotic things such as boxes labeled 'Bijuu chakra residue' and even a bit of splintered wood, labeled
True Several Thousand Hands splinters.
They'd enter a room first, which revealed a window that they could see through. The room in front of them was dark, and the only thing visible in that room was a table, and a chair with someone sitting in it. The silhouette of this person was unclear, and the room was too dark to make it out. Saburo paid no mind to it and prepared the room for what was about to happen, placing a comfortable chair in front of the window, patting on it to tell Daiki to sit down.
“How do you like the blade of Kusanagi? It was restored by the 11th corps after it was broken in the great battle, though there were many years between restoration and the breaking. I hope it lives up to your expectations, Uchiha Daiki, my brother.” Saburo would wait for an answer, then leave the room and lock it behind him, being gone for about five minutes. Finally, he returned on the other side of the window, in the dark room with the table and chair. As the light switched on, the figure in the chair would be revealed to be Chihiro Hyuga, the heir of the Hyuga clan, though that much didn't seem to really matter. In Saburo's hands was a bowl of rice, and he held it with both hands. He sat down across the table, looking at Chihiro and placing the bowl of rice down in front of her.
“Good afternoon Chihiro-senpai. I am here to discuss with you your latest endeavours, leaving the village without an official mission statement. I have several questions for you, to make sure that Konoha stays protected and that we will not be put at the blame of any of the wrong doings during your escape from the village.”“Question one. Why did you leave the village without an official mission statement from the former Hokage, or the appointed jonin commander or hokage's assistant?”“Question two. Who was with you during your escape from Konohagakure?”“Question three. What did you do during your escape from Konohagakure?”“Question four. Where is Gin Kakiyama? Witnesses state that they saw him leaving with you in a fancy, large limousine. He didn't return with you.”“Question five. What happened during your escape from Konohagakure?”“Final question. Why did you choose to return to Konohagakure, without Gin Kakiyama, and without official mission statement? Did you not know you could've been branded a missing nin for this endeavour?”After she'd answer all his questions, and
only then, would Saburo get up and push the rice closer towards her.
“You may eat.” After that, he left the room again, leaving the lights on for Chihiro. The door was locked again, and Saburo appeared shortly on the other side of the see through mirror.
“Daiki-senpai, I hope you see now that the 11th corps does what we do, to ensure the safety and prosperity of Konohagakure. There are many, many loose cannons like this, people like Chihiro Hyuga, who do not think before acting. I hope you realize that people like this can cause grave danger, no, even the downfall of Konohagakure. It doesn't take much to incite a conflict between two states.” For ease, Saburo left out the fact that Chihiro only left because of N.C.4, and N.C.4 was ultimately an 11th corps construct. In a way that made them responsible for her leaving the village - but that'd incriminate the 11th corps, and that'd be dangerous. As far as Saburo was concerned, he'd have to act like N.C.4 never existed, atleast in the face of outsiders. Saburo raised his arm towards the door again, instructing them to leave.
“That was all I wanted to show you. The 11th corps is not evil. We did not force this coup. We simply followed orders from our leader, commander Fujitora. It was the best thing for Konoha. I wish you could understand this, and if you do understand this, please enlighten your comrades. I have tried to tell them this, but people like Kaito Maru, they are suspicious of us because we act without their knowledge. They do not understand that that is the only way we can make sure Konohagakure is safe.”Saburo would escort Daiki out of the building again, not giving Daiki much time to see what was in the building. As they reached the top floor, or the entrance, again Saburo would simply drop him off at the receptionist' desk. With a wave he waved him good bye, and then headed into the building again to get to do some of his other tasks. Daiki would likely still be in time for his dinner, if he wished to join it.
Meanwhile, in floor D-1, a set of two shinobi would come to collect Chihiro, and take her with them. She, too, would be escorted, but rather than dropping her off at the receptionist' desk, they brought her into the garage and put her in a limousine. Then, she would be driven to the Hyuga clan estate, before being escorted to the door. After a quick knock on the door, the two shinobi would wait for an answer, and then explain the situation.
“Chihiro Hyuga was found outside of the village after leaving with Gin Kakiyama. We hope you understand our concerns, as there was a possibility she might've gone rogue. Luckily this wasn't the case. Please pay more attention to her next time. The 11th thanks you for your cooperation, and wish miss Chihiro Hyuga a speedy recovery.” With that done, they'd bow before whoever had opened the door and left Chihiro in their care, before leaving the scene in the limousine again.
