The end of the 14th century in Europe was a time of revolution and crisis… There was the Hundred Years' War between the English and the French for Western France, the Black Death decimating the continent, and famine afflicting the poor. Béatrix de Le Croix was born to a noble French family in the winter of 1367. She lived a life of luxury for a time, as her family was one of wealth and power.

In the year of 1385, Béatrix had reached an age where her marriage was the talk of the entire town, let alone the family. Back in those days, women had little choice in the matters of marriage, especially nobles who married for power, not their soul mates. Béatrix’ parents had suitors lined up at the door for her, but everyone knew it for the ruse it was, her future husband was already chosen for her. The groom-to-be was the ideal political match, and the complete opposite of a love connection. The man was portly, red-faced and smelled of soured milk… on a good day.

Fortunately for Béatrix (although others at the time may have disagreed with that sentiment) the Black Death had fallen upon her like a war hammer. It was on one of the nights when Béatrix’ sickly coughing had her up late into evening, that a soft rapping came at her window. Recognizing the face of one of the suitors that she had taken quite a fondness for, Béatrix let Francis into her home. Before all else, Francis planted a hungry kiss on her lips. If she hadn’t been so sick, blood would have rushed to her cheeks in waves. His was the name marked on her wrist, and hers on his.

That night, Francis studied her sickly condition and made her an offer: he would cure her of this disease and save her life, if she promised to run away with him and leave this life of nobility and fame behind. Her new life would have to be a secret… and they would have to get the vampiric council’s approval as well. Being young and in love, Béatrix made the decision any flowered girl would make, she chose a life of freedom with this overwhelmingly handsome man – her soul mate. Young love with the promise of beauty and an eternity together was enough to keep any secret. Francis turned her into a vampire that very night and prepared her for a new life to come. First though, they had to stage her death which, of course, is an easy thing to do when you no longer have a pulse and the Black Death is already upon you. Believing that their only heir had passed away in her youth, Béatrix’ parents never came looking for her.

Béatrix and Francis were happy together for quite a while, they traveled the world, new and old, and made love in all of the most beautiful places. Béatrix enjoyed her new found strength and powers, and she felt untouchable. Unfortunately for Francis, Béatrix thought wrong… One fateful night, Béatrix awoke alone in their bed with an unbearable pain searing her wrist. Francis frequently went out of town for meetings that Béatrix asked little questions about, it wasn’t really a woman’s place to pry – even in the vampiric community. But the night before, Francis hadn’t mentioned any meetings. Béatrix did know one thing about her lover’s dealings, and that was that they were very dangerous.

Béatrix scrambled out of bed in fear and ran out into the living area. A scream burst from her chest as she took in the scene of her lover splayed out across the floor. Savage claw marks were raked into Francis’ chest and his heart was absent. Béatrix crumpled to her knees at the realization of what had happened. Francis’ job came with dangers, it came with enemies, enemies like werewolves who would come into your house in the middle of the day, wake you from your slumber, and murder you.

From that fateful day and forward, Béatrix picked up where Francis had left off. She would avenge Francis’ death and slay every crooked supernatural being that she came across, especially the wolves. Béatrix knew enough about werewolves to know that she couldn’t beat them in strength, but she could outwit them, deceive them, and catch them by surprise. Over the years, Béatrix honed her skills in vampire mental manipulation, deception, and investigation. As technologies and weapons changed, so did she, trying to stay one step ahead of the enemy. Rumors and tales spread in the supernatural community of this fearsome self-claimed hitwoman, but few knew the name and face to match the stories… almost none who recognized her for who and what she was survived to tell the tale.

Danilo was the forth child from five, his parents loved each of their children very much as much as they cared for each other. Danilo never felt short on being loved by his parents. His mother studied history and facts while his father studied the tales and myths of the past just like the folklore of the the world. Both of them had several hundredth years under the belt and preferred to live with their family away from anyone. The father passion for his work made him love telling his children those same tales as bedtime stories. Making sure they would start dreaming about the world with bright eyes. Some of them loved it more some did less and enjoyed more the facts that their mother would speak off.

Danilo fail in love with the tales how ever dark and sad they became at the end some form of happiness would be reached if you do not give up.

Regardless how much he was loved by his parents his siblings were a different story altogether. Well they were united in disliking him. He was often called the weird one or the parents favorite. Often teasing Danilo that he wasnt able to fight for himself, but has to go crying to their mother and rant the other siblings out. It was just how they made the rank who was stronger, but Danilo didnt want any of it. Yes he was compared to his siblings even the youngest was much stronger than him but he was more interested in everything else than proving his dragon strength.

It didnt help that the siblings were full of energy and liked to get in trouble, to help them out, Danilo would tell their parents what the others did. It would only fuel the sibling dislike for their meek brother, because they would end up getting grounded and he wouldnt.

Once he grow old enough to attend a school, which are a few decades for his kind, he did exactly that. Moving to a dorm and trying to find what he is good at. He tried many things along the way and a lot of time it didnt end up well. Chemistry was one of his worst experience as he set his dorm room on fire. Flammable chemicals do not mix well with sneezing fire. No one got hurt, luckily. The dorm leader gave him a second chance but punished him with kitchen duty for the rest of his academic stay.

Being always encouraged to find himself, and try to find a positive in any negative Danilo discovered his talent with cooking. Especially making sweets. Around the same time Danilo saw his first musical, and fall in love with the art expression and even the style of clothing. He stopped carrying what his siblings were thinking of him, and he even less cared what other peoples thought of him. He will do what makes him happy. He sewed his first clothing and wore them with pride. It took a while before his sewing got good enough. He starved for more and more receipts when it came to cooking, he wanted to experiment. The next school year he transferred into the confectioner class.

Danilo counted as a bit of a eccentric guy, but with a big and sweet heart. His classmates after a while befriended him and were his true friends. He would help them how ever he could, and occasionally he would even be going over the top. It didnt matter to Danilo, as he felt as happy as one could be. He liked to go with them at night and drink and sing till the early hours. Well he liked the singing part more than drinking and it stayed a habit to prefer to be taken somewhere than to go to a bar himself. He loved the songs about love and even the more simple things. He graduated on top of his class, and to his dislike his siblings arrived to congratulate him. Their parents urged them to do so.

The tension was making the air heavy. They all wore forced smiles for their parents sake, it was clear to the young dragon that he grown even more apart from his siblings. It was start of a silent competition of a different kind. He was again reminded that his parents were especially prideful of Danilo, that they often hold his example to his siblings. A example how they should try to find something and work hard to be the master of it. So they started doing it. Danilo ignored them all and moved away. He traveled across the world, by ship, by feet, by train, starting to make a name of himself.

He is far from being a world known pastry creator, but he did got a few chances to work under the very best. He still has a lot to learn, and he is eager to learn it. Today he is working at a luxurious hotel as chief confectioner. Often being tasked to make wedding cakes to the wishes of the couples, just as well as spoiling them all with great sweets. But there is another dream he has, one that he keeps to himself and that is to be part of a Broadway theater. Grinning he wonders where his way will end him up.

Bio: "Well I was normal with shitty grades and nice chill life until a year ago. The first thing: Pure draconian shifters are, for some reason, uncannily lucky and intuitive. Very much less so with half-bloods, but still, it can be dangerous to go against a draconic shifter in a chancy fight- he would have the upper hand. However, Alexey's power of luck and intuition extends to smaller things, such as a strategy game or a game of dice.

Draconian Shapeshifters are remnants of the original dragons- they couldn't exist, and so the ones that had magical abilities did, because they altered themselves in ways that no regular human could- regardless if they are vampire, succubus, werewolf, or witch, it's unlikely they could have matched or survived the ordeals the dragons of old put themselves through to survive in a land of men.

Draconian shapeshifters, as they are now called, retain their original form of a dragon- but are usually much smaller, like a small pony, even though they are much stronger than one. That being said, having such a form gives them a unique aura- anyone practiced in magic can feel when a draconian shapeshifter is around. Many magical creatures have a natural repulsion to it, simply because dragons used to mean death and destruction, and so the wariness of the ancestors is ingrained instinctively, and rightly so.

The aura of a draconian shapeshifter is of magic, of course, and can often be described in multiple different ways. For some people, it's like a ringing, or wail, or some other very, very faint sound. For others, it's like a scent- werewolves are most likely to pick up the ghost scent of something that smells worse and more dangerous than a bear. For the most part, though, modern-day draconic shapeshifters have laced their auras with illusion magic, often making it more soothing, more comforting. Likewise, dragons used a great deal of illusion magic- among other bits- to help them merge with humans, and have developed a significant natural talent for it. In addition to that, draconians made very sure to weave immortality into themselves. As some became more and more human, this immortality weakened, and they started aging, slowly. "Dragons" are likely to be charismatic because of this. They make people around them believe, with a compulsion woven into them, that they are more honest and more handsome, trustworthy and friendly. Pure-blooded draconians are some of the worlds' most prominent figures: presidents, CEOs of major companies or corporations, one in particular, known as "Stone," is the head of the CIA. These "dragons" have a sphere of influence, and guard it jealously. They are ambitious creatures, who are constantly on the lookout for rivals and threats, and are always looking to become more powerful.

With shapeshifting, a draconian shapeshifter often has two or three forms: Their dragon, their human, and then some other animal, somewhat random, based on mental/emotional significance. Sometimes, however, such as with Alexey, they don't yet seem to have a limit on their shapeshifting. He could turn into a bear, or a wolf, or a dragon, or a sparrow. For the moment, it's hard to tell.

Being new to everything means that Alexey has no clue what's going on. Alexey, being the son of a normal human and a pure draconian shapeshifter, led him to gain many traits from both, while also being a great mix of British and Russian, because he's amazing, and you should really help him out.

Some creatures are very hard to kill because they regenerate, or they use magic to heal themselves, or they can block everything coming at them. Dragons are more like humans- they have a set of indirect boosts, and they use them to their needs. Being shifters, they can morph parts of them into their more draconic selves, giving them the ability to adopt razor sharp serrated claws (serrated claws are the only claws that could cut a dragon's hide, regular claws would bounce or slide) in each finger, or to grind a lit match into their hand without feeling it, because of dragon skin. As it is, a draconian's skin is tougher than the average human's. When partial-turning, they can get a hide that'll turn needles and blades, and with some of the thickest dragons, small-arms fire.

Sebastián and Jovanka is the children of Pūṣan, and a Romani gypsy woman. The siblings was born, basically meant to be deities. Legends say, those born of the union between one god and mortal, are said to have passive psychic powers. They live nomadic lifestyle, never remaining in one place for too long.

Sebastián, the eldest of the two. He had a average upbringing, never had limitations, and pretty much did what he like with the other boys. Since an early age, he managed to learn the trades of his people and fight like the males of his clan. It wasn't long before he discover the ability of retrocognition. Since then, Sebastián knew only of pain.

Sebastián probably could've been something great, but lacked the drive or ruthlessness for said greatness. He never wanted anything special and is totally happy in his anonymity - which is why he was never in a hurry to wed. The quiet suited him though; while his sister was another story.

Jovanka, is the youngest sibling, has always been a fighter with fire running though her veins. Unfortunately, since a young age, she has nothing more than lovable headache to both her mother and brother. Jovanka always believed that she could do it all. Her mother taught her the secrets of a gypsy woman. Stories has been passed down from daughter to daughter. Her true passion came when she learned the trade of the tarot. As time passed, growing more knowledge of reading and channeling the cards. An energy blossomed, giving her the voice to relive a person's past and their location by touch.

Growing up, violence was never far behind. People judged, branded them as thieves and worshipers of Satan. All because of their culture. At times, she had witness villages coming together with weapons in hand. The clan could do nothing but simply packed up and continue on the search. Then, there was times, that guns were more than just visible threat. A young Jovanka learned that in the eyes of the Gayós (non-gypsy), she was nothing more than the dirt under their shoe.

As most girls of her clan, Jovanka was married off in an early age to a man twice her senior. At first, it trouble Jovanka to be young wife of an older man. However, her husband proved to be a very good man. And, that is what mattered to Jovanka. Even though, she do not feel nothing but gratitude for the old man.

Bio: Aria came into this world among blood and gore during the Great War, in a field hospital just behind the trenches of the English line in France. His father died the day before in the no man’s land and his mother supposedly died in childbirth. The orphan, by some odd circumstances he still doesn’t fully understand, was taken back the United States and raised in New York. As he grew he began to find friends within the organised crime gangs of the city under Prohibition, helping the speakeasies get supplies off the small boats off shore. Upon Aria’s further investigation into his parents, he found that his mother was not human, but of some elder race without name. Some fanatics, like H.P. Lovecraft, referred to his race as being god-like. Aria was unaware of such god-like abilities until he was called upon during World War II. When he was killed in combat, he would awake the day before as if it were a dream and proceed along the day the same way until he survived. His blood also seemed to assist with other human’s wounds, sealing them up quickly. He kept his race a secret from his fellow soldiers, helping with his unique perspective on battle where he could. After the war, Aria used his compensation to move to America and set up a small bar of his own. His bar has remained there ever since and he has been taking odd jobs out of there for everything from jewel heists to demon slaying. He cares little for the money, but is more interested in keeping himself entertained. Lately, video games have been a welcome distraction and has amassed a large collection.
