Before the elven lady could respond , Marxo felt this displeasing tone in his partners’ voice. He guessed that Nabil thought he took the woman seriously, but after all who could with such a seen she’d caused. Marxo didn’t like the thought of disappointing Nabil. He began to immediately withdraw his first response. “ On second thought, seems to me Nabil doesn’t like your proposal. To be frank , I’ve been around my partner so long it’s hard to disagree with him. I think I’m going to have to let you down easy little lady. It’s apparent from your random outburst that Nabil is quite correct. You do seem to be more trouble than you’re worth.”

With this remark Marxo eased back into his chair. At this moment he noticed the girl taunting him out of the corner of his eye and it made him laugh a little on the inside. While Nabil stuffed his face Marxo calmly awaited his liquor. He would have no more to say to the young pirate. He really didn’t see where they’d fit in on a misfit pirate ship with an elf, a shark boy, and a rude little girl. Nabil didn’t seem to want to find out either. Marxo felt accomplished with his decision and word choice, even though they were based upon another’s thoughts . This other just happen to be his only friend for the time being. How would he dare turn his back on Nabil. He just couldn’t . It didn’t seem right if they were apart.

After pondering for mere seconds , Marxo realized he didn’t have a drink or a smoke. “Oh this just won’t do. Excuse me waitress , I still need my drinks and that those smokes. , his tone seems light and playful but honestly Marxo was beginning to get impatient again. He smiled as he spoke, not to seem like the asshole from earlier. With every second an urge to destroy everything over a cigarette cinged his mind like a freshly heated cattle prod.

Neurotic cook. Reckless knife fighter. Paranoid merchant.

Nyx perks up at the mention of a crew and the possibility of adventure; that is, until she sees who made the offer. She smiles in faux politeness at the lady who had come up. "Excuse me, but I have to ask you to take your business elsewhere. As it is, you have rendered four of my customers unconscious and, in a desperate bid to keep the conscious ones tempered," she gestures to the men at the table. "I've had to give them dishes that would otherwise have gone to waste due to your actions. The only thing I hate more than giving away food, is wasting it. Now if you'll excuse me, these patient gentlemen have requested drinks, and seeing as how the rest of the staff are cowering in fear, I must play bartender as well." Nyx turns back to the duo, pulling out a small box of cigars and setting it down. "What would you like to drink, Mr. Marxo, Mr. Nabil?"

"Eventful." Mumbled a voice from farther back in the tavern.

A young boy sat alone at a far back table, there were several empty bottles on it; not his doing of course, but whoever it was definitely had a strong constitution. Or not. It wasn't really the boy's concern. The most peculiar trait the boy had was definitely his back; he had wings, large enough to be noticeable, but not large enough to fly. A few people had taken glances, but most played it off as some kind of cosplay, much to his vexation.

The boy was simply known as "Countless," and so far he had bore witness to the creation of a recruitment stand, some thievery (although he didn't exactly call it out), the flight of a table, a challenge (of which he did not take up) that escalated into a series of fights, all of which the redhead seemed to be winning. Countless hadn't been in the Blue Sea for too long, about a week. He was sort of lost after the four-length bird dropped him off and flew away somewhere. This was his first impression of Blue Sea taverns - which didn't actually differ from the Skypiean taverns that he had been to before (with the exception of the whole table-in-the-ceiling deal). Of course, he didn't really intend to get involved in the brawl. His weapons were a bit dangerous to use indoors. Instead, he just continued to watch, letting the absurdity of the situation sink in.

Amelia

Amelia was a bit relived when the fishman turned out to be more friendly than she thought as he accepted her apology and the mug out of her hands. She clasped her hands behind her back watching the fishman inspecting the ale of any poison until he finally chugged it down into his system. While she awaited the response of her two thirsty customers, she turned to face yet another one questioning her ale with a rather intense look which made Amelia a bit uncomfortable.

"Uh...my proof?...Ah! Yes, of course sir! If these two gentlemen behind me do not convince you about my ale, then you can feel free to try out the comparison test! After tasting my brew, you will notice the major difference in quality compared to the watered down ale that the 'Rusty Wench' serves! Please take one and taste for yourself!" She cheerfully stated and picked up a mug offering it to the little ninja, at least that is what she thought of him inside her little imagination after seeing the face mask.

Suddenly, she knew something was going on behind her back as she quickly turned her head around, merely catching a glimpse of her mug being tossed down the street while it was on fire. What on earth happened?! She stood there with her eyes blank in a comical fashion while awaiting for an explanation for the man's actions. Amelia didn't quite understand it at first, but she recalled about there being devil fruits with unimaginable powers, this was probably one of them. "Ooooooh...I see! My brew was so good that it caught on fire! How delightful! Glad you loved it that much!" She laughed completely buying into the young man's plan and accepted his collateral payment. Shortly after, the Fishman complimented her brew and decided to buy two more of her fine ale. This brought tears of joy to Amelia's eyes as her brew was finally being acknowledged. "Thank you Mr.Fishman and Mr.Fireman! You don't know how much this means to me!" She thanked them with tears weld up in her eyes as she made 1950 in just a few minutes. She picked up two mugs by the handle with her right hand while holding the ninja's free mug with her left, then her arms extended out to them offering their drinks.

"Oh, my name is Amelia by the way! I'll be glad to follow you Mr.Fishman!" She said accepting his offer, for the sake of more money to further enhance her brewing skills with the finest ingredients.

"The proof is not in the ale"

A blank stare crossed Leonard's face as the woman completely misunderstood what he was asking, to such an extent that a homophone was taken completely off the hook. Taking a moment to remove his face mask, Leonard clarifies his statement to the pink-haired woman. "Um...T-To tell the truth, I wasn't asking how good it was. I-I was more...more asking how much concentrated, pure ethanol is in your beverage."

Though, now that he thought about it, the drink did smell delicious, the ale's gloamy color seemingly calling to him. Shaking his head, he scratches the side of his unburnt cheek. "I-I shouldn't...Someone needs me somewhere around here." he reminded himself as he turned back to the fish-man. "Um...w-where is this person that needs a doctor? I-I have my equipment with me..." he said, still appearing rather nervous as he set the mug back down on the table the woman had it on. Lifting the left side of his cloak, he showed Abel that, lined in the various makeshift pouches and pockets that lined the inner-cloak were syringes, scalpels, medicine bottles, packets of various herbal mixtures, and even what appeared to be a jar filled with...something moving. "It's not...not much, but I'll do what I can."

Polly Roger - The Rusty Wench Tavern

Polly practically beamed as the elf-earred girl patted her, and extended an invitation to join her crew. No questions asked, even! Ah, there really is one born every minute~ Whilst she did trust that she could look after herself, Polly liked a little bit of insurance. I mean, what if she got tired whilst flying, or something hit her, and she went plummeting into the ocean? What if those wild stories about what lay on the Grand Line weren't just exaggerations by losers trying to make themselves seem less pathetic for giving up? Having someone strong around to take care of all that seemed rather advantageous to her, really. Not only that, but as part of a crew she'd get her share of booty... Sure, she'd prefer to have it all to herself, but life's all about compromise after all.

"Ah, just forget those losers, captain!" Polly laughed at black-hair and silver-hair as she casually slumped back in a chair. "Probably just a bunch of kids trying to look tough! Probably all talk, y'know? I see it all the time, brats who think they're going to be the next pirate king." The irony of her calling them "kids" when they were clearly older than her wasn't lost on her, but she was just trying to rile them up a bit. If they really weren't all talk, then hey, that's a couple of extra meatshields for her to hide behind. And if her taunting was right, well... They'd probably meet the same fate as that poor table, not that she cared.

"...Anyways, I don't think we've been formally introduced, captain! Name's Polly! Polly Roger! ...But, um, not that Roger, y'know?" The dreadlocked girl leaned back in her seat, the needle of her Log Pose bobbing about as she stretched her legs.

Ahio

Ahio looked straight in the eyes of the tall fishman and considered the invitation. The man, or fish, had obviously seen something that made him want Ahio but he was unsure of just how much the fishman had seen. It was most likely the fact that the mug had caught on fire the moment Ahio had touched it which gave away his powers. If he had better control of his fruit it wouldn’t have been nearly as obvious, but he may never have received the offer if he hadn’t done it on accident. If the fishman was so willing to offer a position on his ship so quickly, then what happened to his old crew? There were three kinds of people in the town; the people who had given up after going to the Grand Line, the people going to the Grand Line, and those who were going to try again. The fishman didn’t seem like he was going to the Grand Line since he seemingly gave off an aura of strength he hadn’t felt from everybody else.

”If you don’t mind me asking, why exactly are you looking for a crew? You obviously aren’t new enough to the seas to be looking for your first batch but you seem overly willing to invite me and Amelia here after only a few minutes around us. I just want to make sure that you aren’t likely to turn tail and run on us when the going gets hard.” Ahio said rather bluntly. While most people would take his statement as a stab at their pride or honor, Ahio felt that the fishman would take mores as a normal question to ask a man before becoming a member of their crew. It was almost as natural as asking whether or not a loaf of bread was freshly baked or had been sitting around for a few hours.

Able looks at Leanord, and Amelia with a smile, he is glad to see these two are cooperative, makes things a bit easier. Then he hears Ahio question, and took a second to think about it. He then replied " It is true, that I am not completely new to the Grandline. Me and my captain Nikko is looking for a group willing to follow us to hell only known as the Grandline, well more like Paradise truthfully." He chuckles at his own joke though it was not really funny, then he motions for all three to follow. Amelia and Leanord do since they agreed to follow him, before he enters the Rusty Wench he says to Ahio "Once you meet the captain you will understand that we wont turn tail and run."

He enters the Rusty Wench and yells loudly " Yo Nikko come here I got two more crew members" He says referencing Amelia and Leanord. When Nikko comes over Able shoves a mug of Amelia special brew into Nikko hands and says " This is pink hair one crew application and from one taste I am sure you will agree she is accepted" He then turns to leanord and says " This is the one I was referring to earlier, her name is Nikko and she suffers from the sudden bitch syndrome. Its a life long disease that needs a consistent doctors help." He then looked over and saw the girl from under the table earlier and said " Ah thief good to see you are still around. You going to join as well?"

Nabil.

Nabil faintly smiled before sitting back in his chair, content with Marxo answer. Though he hated to admit that he may had influenced another, Nabil was still happy with the outcome. They were friends, that much was obvious.

Without a glance or care, Nabil acknowledged Polly’s words with a mocking chuckle. He had seen her earlier, out the corner of his eyes when the table was flipped. She wasn't much to look at. Not a curve or lump on her anywhere. One of the reasons he hadn’t spared her another glance in the first place.

He slid his hands into his pockets before yawning, sparing a glance at the waitress. Now she was easy on the eyes. Something to entertain himself with if he ever got bored. Of course that would never happened with Marxo’s and his bounties. Perhaps he should start recruiting as well. Gather up a crew for himself. His eyes closed minutely before opening to the ground between his legs, his thoughts were currently swaying towards his next Marine raid.

“Anything but water,” he responded shortly. “And let’s make that to go. This shack seems to have an infestation of insects. Dontcha think, Marxo? They don't know when they're standing in front of monsters,” he said with a sigh, pushing his seat out and standing up without fear of retaliation. He looked off towards the door, staring pass the fishman and towards the dazzling outside. The dim décor had somehow enhanced the beauty outside.

” At first I just wanted a beer, but now I need liquor. Gin preferably.” Marxo had become impatient. He scoured the tavern for any signs of smoke . It was a dire need , almost a fixation . He completely ignored the small teenage girl squawking on about how him and Nabil weren’t worth the elven girl’s time until he finally found a lit cigarette. It hung from the mouth of a nameless usurper at the bar. Marxo was uninterested in questioning him for it. By now he only could think of action. With anger in hand he raced across the room, almost effortlessly because of his devil fruit powers. No one even noticed he was gone. He immediately snatched the cigarette out of the man’s mouth and slammed his head against the bar.

“ You won’t be needing this anymore.” Almost instantly he appeared back in his chair, mildly relieved by the tobacco riddled drug known as a cigarette. As he puffed he began to realize he’d been insulted. It was the short one from earlier. He decided it would be be best to ignore her, She didn’t seem worth the effort of an insult. As Marxo enjoyed his medicine Nabil spoke of leaving. It had just crossed Marxo’s mind that they still had a reconnaissance mission to accomplish.

“ Your right, plus I need smokes. , he laughed at the monsters joke. “ This is quite too much for a bite to eat . He turned to the small woman who’d introduced herself as Polly. “ Name’s Marxo but you can call me not interested.” As he began to stand a flier caught wind from his back pocket. It landed amongst the plates Nabil had cleaned . It seemed to be a bounty . The picture was Marxo's. The bounty was amazing.

DYING IS NOT REPAYING A DEBT

ONLY WEAK MEN WOULD DIE AFTER SOMEONE SPARED THEIR LIVES

Another sweltering day had come around, men sat slumped in their chairs with beverages filled with ice. The odd one or two men were holding the ice against their faces and feeling it melt against their faces and what was once an ice cube slide down their face, necks & torso. Sitting at a table however was the only man who could withstand the heat and didn't mind a nice hot day. Dropping back his head and the small glass of a brown beverage the man placed the empty glass back down and leaned on his chair as he prepared himself for a nap. He was tired from all that journey before he finally decided to chop up every single members of a crew who allowed Zell himself on board, but it was inevitable as they tried to steal Zell's precious money.

Now, he was there, alone in 'The Rusty Wrench', he didn't have any ships right now and there were no crews that met his taste so it gave him a headache. However, as he tried to sleep, storms rumbled around and unleashed its wrath upon the Tavern. Zell made a small peek and he noticed everything was a mess as soon as he opened his right eye while keeping the left closed. After some random dramas that couldn't catch Zell's attention, he decided to step forward with a scheme on his mind.

He approached a white-haired guy and offered him two packs of cigarettes. "Why don't you stay here for a little longer as you enjoy these pleasures?" .

Amelia

Amelia quickly went over to her stand, pouring the remaining ales she had left into her wooden keg that was sitting off to the side of the table. It would be a waste of such good booze! The barrel had two straps on its body so Amelia could carry it on her back to become a mobile 'emergency' bar at some point. After placing the barrel on her back and putting the money in her pockets, she turned to the doctor ninja with a smile.

"Oh! You wanted to know how much ethanol was in my drink? Sorry if I misunderstood! I have to say...uhm...fifteen to twenty percent of it is pure alcohol!" She responded back to him while the fireman spoke to the fishman. She wasn't quite concerned in taking precautions in joining the crew, she trusted the fishman's words. After revealing that the ninja was a doctor all long, it would make sense to her now, he was just being careful on how much he drinks. At least that is what she assumed. Her eyes scanned the many medical tools that the doctor possessed until she stopped and stared at...whatever the hell that was moving in the jar... "If it's too much for you sir, then I can brew up a lighter drink specifically made for you!" She spoke to him at a rather fast pace, being crept out by the contents of the jar. She then noticed the fishman was signaling for them to follow and scurried right behind him.

As they entered the 'Rusty Wench', Amelia couldn't hide that she was a bit nervous in meeting the fishman's captain. She kept quiet for a moment and had her head down trying to avoid unnecessary attention from the other mean looking strangers inside the tavern. She awaited what the captain had to say about her brew. It's not that good...it could be better... She thought to herself as her true potential was limited to what she had to work with currently. Still...it is a damn fine ale.

"How I got Kidnapped"

"I see...W-Well...I can't re-really use it then...B-B-But thank you very much!" Leonard said, bowing slightly to her in a gracious manner. It was nice being offered something catch-free, even more-so since the girl was somewhat attractive. His attention was caught as they entered the bar, when the woman offered to make him a lighter drink, to which he replied: "N-No thank you...I'm a light drinker, b-but I only drink when there's blood." he says, immediately realizing how much he fucked that statement up. "I-I-I MEAN! I-I don't drink blood, I-I just c-c-can't be completely sober when there's lots sp-sp-spewing out..." he tried to clarify, a tinge of red growing on his cheeks, which was impossible to ignore given how ghastly pale he was.

Fidgeting nervously as he stepped into the tavern, Leonard glanced around at all the patrons of this fine establishment, and was very glad that he had a nine something feet tall Fish-Man in front of him. Sticking close to Abel, Leonard waited patiently for when he would meet whoever needed medical attention...only for said person to be made the boot of a joke, one that wasn't particularly funny to him. Staring blankly, Leonard was about to say something before he heard the part about "Crew Members"...Were they pirates!? Oh god, they LOOKED LIKE PIRATES TOO! AND THEY SMELT HORRIBLE, JUST LIKE PIRATES!

Nearly falling backwards at the prospect of basically being forced into a pirate crew, Leonard finally voiced his concerns: "Y-You didn't say anything about joining a-a-a crew! O-Or that...that you were a pirate!" he says, sounding incredibly alarmed as he started to back away slowly. Being told that you were going to join a pirate crew was quite a lot to drop on a guy all at once, after all.

Nikko looks bored and incredibly disappointed. Leaning forward she puts her left arm on the table and then uses her right arm to prop her head up under her chin. Her large gloves seem far to big for her. A little tint of red starts to show in her cheeks from the alcohol but there isn't any facial expressions indicating she was inebriated. Suddenly a dark haired young woman appears next to her and slides some food in front of the two boys. Nikko was then promptly scolded by this woman for the damage she had done to the business.

"Huh..?" Was her reaction to being asked to get out. "Well I guess I was a little tinsey bit rough on your furniture." she admits holding up her fingers to make a tiny space between them. Though this she looked at the cook with her bluish green eyes. "I got carried away with the table and I don't mind paying for that. I don't bust up honest businesses. I don't apologize for the guys that got knocked out. I imagine fights happen all the time where between the whipped cowards and the misty eyed rookies. Either way tho..." She reaches into her bag and pulls out three golden coins. The coins together would be estimated to be about 150,000 beri. She tosses them to the girl. "That should cover the damages right?"

Standing up she walks over to a plate of the food that had been left untouched by someone quickly leaving the bar during the fight. She takes a bite of it and the food felt like it was melting in her mouth. It was incredibly delicious. Top of the line gourmet. Strange for it only to be a grilled cheese. Thankfully her newest member jumps up behind her with some encouraging words to snap her out of her dreamy appreciation for the food. A small smile forms on her face and she perks up. Nikko's ears quite literally perk up as she reaches over to pat the girl on the head again.

"Why thank you!" She says standing up and stretching her hands high over her head. Her narrowed eyes scan the room once more and she notices a few other people in the Tavern with significant strength. Most notably would be a swordsman sitting in the corner and a shorter fellow in the back. Her eyes then fall back on Polly. Polly introduces herself as Roger but not...that Roger. She chuckles. "Not that Roger huh? Well that's fine too. I can see pretty quick that you've got a good ability at hiding and sneaking. If I had to guess I would imagine that you probably even stole that logpost am I right? As a pirate its always easier to grab loot without being noticed than having to fight for it. Also I like you. Welcome to my crew. I am Nikko the captain." She turns to wave at the cook one more time while she sets up at the Bar. "And you! That was delicious. You ever want to sail the seas you let me know!"

Suddenly the doors to the tavern bust open and her first mate Able ducks to get through the door. He was obviously too big for this place as even the high ceilings here were just high enough to allow him to stand comfortably. Beside him were three normal sized humans. A young girl with bright pink hair, a pale man holding a mask in his hand and finally a taller brown haired man with a sword by his side.

"Two?" She asks as Able tells her about the members. She obviously counted three people with him. Perhaps one was only a prospective member she thought to herself. "Well you're doing better than me. I found one member." She holds out her arm to indicate Polly. Before she could say anymore about the others she had met in the tavern Able thrusts a drink into her hand and instructed her to drink. She was never one to turn down a drink so she downed it in one go.

"Woah..." She said rather surprised. It wasn't necessarily strong but it was good tasting. "Yep. Accepted." She gives a thumbs up sign to the new brewer. "Oh! This one is a doctor? Neat I was afraid we weren't going to find one.....I HAVE WHAT SYNDROME!?!" She exclaims having not caught the insult immediately. She pulls back her arm and strikes Able in the gut once and he slides back a few inches with his hand over his stomach. "Freaky fish guy......I oughta.... " Realizing she was talking to new members she quickly changes gears back to a cheerful disposition. "Sorry a bout that! I saw a fly and had to get it!" The lie was pretty obvious. "Anyway welcome to the crew!" She pats the new doc on the shoulder as he was the one that looked the most nervous. However it may or may not have reassured him in the way she wanted.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw a blurred movement. Suddenly one of the two boring guys had a cigarette and one of the men at the bar had his head slammed into the wall. It was pretty fast to say the least. She takes note of that but doesn't say anything.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Just outside the harbor a large naval ship sails in. It is large with a steel hull colored white and blue for its traditional Marine colors. Its huge sails each had the Marine logo on it. Standing at the front of this ship is a large man standing at about eight feet in height. He has huge broad shoulders and a highly muscular frame. He has a dark grey five o'clock shadow and large bags under his eyes. Over his shoulders is a large white jacket with JUSTICE written across the back. Under neath that was his bare skin as he was only wearing cut off shorts. The man's face was dead serious but his appearance couldn't be any less so.

"Commodore!" A tall slender woman calls out as she walks up next to him. "Are you seriously not going to put on a shirt for this? Show some damn decency for your rank!" She sclods him. She herself had long flowing blond hair and bright blue eyes. She also had a jacket on but underneath was a full black garb. Her eyes were heavily makeup-ed with crying smokey eye and bright red lipstick.

"Is that anyway to talk to your superior captain?" His voice is gruff in his response but its easy to tell he was putting extra emphasis on her rank. "Besides, I wear what I want when I want. Hell I'd probably go naked if they would let me. If I ever make admiral thats just what I'll do."

"I hope you never reach that high sir..." She has to look away from the silliness. "But anyway why are we striking now? Seems a bit odd. And you commodore with five captains with their lieutenants? It all seems a bit much in my opinion." Her haughty tone seems to have irked the commodore a bit.

"You won't be saying that when a filthy pirate has their sword sticking into your gut." He takes a look at her figure once again. "Or at least you will wish that it was a sword sticking into your stomach I bet if we're talking about pirates here. Besides it can't be helped. Orders are orders. We are going to clear out all of the pirates trying to escape the grand line as well as rookies starting out. This may even become a regular thing if we notice fewer big name rookie pirates reaching fame in the grand line. Get'em while their green they said." Jumping up to the rails at the edge of the ship he waves his hands.

"We will erase the pirate scum as well as the ones who harbor them! We are order. We are law. We...are...JUSTICE!" On that line several of the cannons on the starboard side of the ship fire all at once. They hit and sink half of the ships in the harbor in under a minute. The barrage continues until all of the ships that even remotely looked like pirate ships. However unfortunately one of the cannons seems to have gone awry. It fired several cannonballs into the town itself. One narrowly misses the lighthouse and several more level a few buildings. After just a few moments the cannonfire stops and the ship slowly comes into harbor. Dozens and dozens of marines spill into the docks and rush into the town.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Back at the tavern the sounds of cannonfire abruptly end the small casual conversations. Massive explosions are heard outside followed by screams. Nikko quickly rushes outside to see what is going on and spots the massive ship sinking all of the ships in the harbor. And now it seems they are even firing on the town itself. Whats worse is these are explosive cannonballs that deal massive amounts of damage even after impact.

"GET DOWN!" Nikko yells as her eyes catch something. Quickly leaping into the air as a blast of gunpowder flashes at the side of the ship as the final cannonball is released. She is struck mid air a split second later.

The force of the impact threw her back all the way through the walls of the Tavern, through the central support beam, through the bar counter and into an indent in the stone wall behind it. In her hands is an un-detonated cannonball. She had somehow caught the cannonball in a way where it did not explode. In the process it seems she has unexpectedly hit her head on the stone wall behind her and she isn't moving. Overhead the tavern begins to creak dangerously as pieces of debris fall here and there around the ones inside. The main structural beam was shattered by the force of the cannonball.

Nabil.

Cannonfire whistled outside. The eerie noise brought a dreadful sense of nostalgia to Nabil as he peered between the swinging doors. A flash of fire raced across the day before dying from a lack of fuel. His eyes narrowed as the shockwave rocked the Rusty Wench.

Too quickly he looked towards Marxo. They had waited too long, either that or somehow the marines had been tipped off about their raid. Now they were under attack. Or it could just be a random attack, some new order to wipe out any pirates heading into the Grandline. “We wasted too much time dealing with her!” He nudged his head pointedly towards the woman and her crew as they reacted to the explosions.

The air around Nabil shimmered from the rising heat surrounding him. The marines always lit a match beneath his feet. They pissed him off with their hypocritical ways and constant disregard for the innocent. A supposed order of justice that had turned out to be a mob of the weak pretending to be strong. He slid his fingers across the wood before turning towards the door to leave.

“We’re going to put an end to this,” he told Marxo as he neared the entrance.

Suddenly he heard that elven-eared woman yell for everyone to get down. He felt a twinge, a thread pull at him to roll to the left. Just as he did, the woman crashed through the tavern wall, through the counter, and into the wall; narrowly missing him. Instinctively he ran over to her, standing in the path of destruction her body made. He tsk! before stepping through and looking down at the cannonball in her hands.

That was stupid

Moments later the tavern shook again and pieces of wood started to clattered onto the floor. A ceiling fan crashed into a table and the dishes in the back could be heard shattering. Nabil went over to the seemingly unconscious woman and attempted to lift her into his arms, she didn't look like she weighed much. In his arms, she would feel warmer than normal; perhaps even hot.

“We’ll drop her off to that fishman from earlier and handle these marines ourselves.” he told Marxo.

Brenda Wirrit

The 'Red Devil' sinks beneath the waves from a barrage of fire, it's treasure and supplies lost. The crew swim for shore, clutching anything that floats for support.

The red-haired captain surfaces with a deep breath of air, carrying the ship's sole devil fruit user under one arm, a small sea-chest in the other, kicking to shore. The stronger swimmers among the crew, or those who evacuated first, help them to shore, hiding out under a jetty.

Brenda regains consciousness as the sea water pours off of her, still weak and shaky. The captain slides the chest over to her.
"Whatever's in here must be pretty important for a hammer like you to risk taking a swim. It's bad luck for the Captain to leave the ship before any crew though." he says gruffly, without letting Brenda speak. "Looks like this is it for the Red Devil Pirates for now... but you're not really one of us. Only picked you up at the last port. You can lie low in town, slip away on another ship when all this dies down." He shakes his head, and shouts "Besides, we're not used to fighting with you. You'd only hold us back. Go on, get out of here!"

Brends slides back when the captain begins shouting, then turns and runs. She doesn't understand all of his words, but the meaning is clear. As she goes, the captain turns to look at the navy ship and his cutlass. "It's bad luck for the newbie to die before the Captain, anyway."

And so, Brenda finds herself running through the town, soaking wet with only the clothes on her back, the tools on her belt and the deeply precious but ultimately worthless treasures in her little chest. She spends so much time looking behind her for incoming cannonballs, she doesn't look at what's up ahead...

As Marxo watched as the young captain was sent hurdling thru the door by cannon fire he thought to himself , “What a bad move.” It took him a moment to let the situation sink in. He’d heard Nabil voice in between thoughts. It seemed he’d gotten the jist of it, even though he would rather stay in the bar and smoke the offered cancer. He began to look around as the bar was crumbling . It would be in their best interest to leave. Besides Nabil was itching for a fight and cannonfire could only mean marines or just plain dumb pirates. Either way Marxo began to bloodlust. They had ruined his perfectly good day .

“ She’s not getting up from that one. Hey Nabil your were right. We did take too long . What a waste of time . Let’s deal with these nuisances quickly. I have more relaxing to do.” Marxo sped towards the doorway as Nabil carried the unconscious pirate to her shark friend. “ I’ll go ahead before you get out here and try to murder everything. Try to keep up Nabil. i won’t save anything for you.” With these words he stormed out of the tavern to get a better look of his opposition. If only he knew what waited for him behind those doors.

As Marxo arrived outside he gasped, it looked as if half of the marine fleet were at one harbor. He was immediately bombarded by young recruits itching to catch a pirate. No one would make it thru that door . Marxo called upon his devil fruit powers. “More More Jubai Soku.”, as the words left his mouth he seemed to disappear leaving the recruits in awe shock. “Where did he go?” , they exclaimed. Marxo easily dispatched the back of the crowd and reappeared before the first marine as he continued for the door . He hadn’t noticed his unit laid comfortably on the floor, dead as the night. “ Were you going somewhere?” , Marxo relented with a smile. He then proceeded to punch a hole the the man’s face.

After the first wave had been dispatched he grasped a better view of things. There seemed to be five captains with lieutenants to match. These odds excited Marxo. It meant he could show off a little. He also wondered how long Nabil would stay inside comforting the captain. Lost in thought he didn’t notice the captain in the knee highs staring him down as if he’d killed his child . But when he did he gave an even more demented stare back, almost as if to say “bring it”. “ You’re going to want to see this Nabil., he yelled towards the tavern doors. The young pirates were in for war. They were more than prepared.

Ahio

The sound of cannon fire reverberated through the city as several ships somewhere in the city opened fire. There were three possibilities of whom could be the cause of this and Ahio liked none of them. Either there were pirates fighting in the port like idiots, a large group of pirates were raiding the town, or the marines were attacking the ships of pirates new to the Grand Line. Yet, his thoughts were disrupted as he watched a cannonball rocket through the sky and fly into the tavern. The young swordsman heard the crashing of wood breaking and of somebody or something crashing against stone. From what Ahio could see, the young woman who the fishman had indicated to be the ‘Captain’. After less than a minute, Ahio turned his focus back to the outside to find the white haired male who had been inside had taken out quite a few marines who had obviously rushed into the town to take out the new pirates who had obviously been heading the Grand Line.

Ahio noticed the five captains and lieutenants standing in the road with a rather large number of grunts with them. ”Well, this isn’t how I expected my day to go but it is more fun than expected.” Ahio stated as he slid his katanas out of their sheaths. A captain stood glaring at the man with the white hair as two others motioned for their soldiers to attack. The approaching marines were intent on taking down white hair but Ahio had no intent of letting him take all the glory. The swordsman smirked at the advancing marine grunts and raised his blades as easily as he could down a bottle of sake. ” Rumble Rumble, hōshutsu!” Ahio said lightly as a current of lightning ran into the blades of his katanas. Small but highly dangerous bolts of lightning quickly launched from the blades and struck five marine soldiers center mass with another three grazing them. The advancing soldiers stopped as the five who were hit fell to the ground writhing and the three who were lucky enough to only be grazed held the cuts to stop the bleeding.

Ahio took this short pause to slide his katanas into their sheaths. The young man couldn’t help but smile in ecstasy. It had been too long since he had actually fought with somebody and even the act of fighting weak marines gave him the feeling of being at peace. But the battle was far from over. The marines shook of their shock and turned towards Ahio, splitting their forces between both him and white hair. But Ahio was ready for the advancing soldiers who obviously didn’t really want to get close to him. ”It’s nothing more than a trick men, keep going!” called a low level sergeant as he lead the marines towards the logia user. ”Rumble Rumble, Sōn shōmei!” yelled Ahio as lightning nearly encased his entire forearms. Ahio swung down one of his arms creating a vertical blade of lightning which hit four marines in a line sending them flying backwards. Two more horizontal blades were released from the young lightning man as he took a step forward. Nearly ten of the advancing marines were most likely paralyzed at this point while another seven were out of commission for the rest of day, maybe even a week. ”Couldn’t let you have all the fun over there White Hair!” Ahio yelled as several more marines scattered away from him in fear.

When the cannons began to fire Able was completely confused. Why would the marines bombard the entire town, sure a bunch of pirates lived in this town but their are still plenty of innocent civilians. This can not go unpunished. Suddenly he heard Nikko yell and suddenly a cannonball crashes into the bar. Able braced for a explosion but their was none, as Nikko caught the cannonball. Able yells out loud "Damn it you idiot" once he see's her lying unconscious on the floor. Nabil picks her up and hands her to Able. She still breathing which is good. The bar begins to fall apart and Able runs outside with Nikko in his arms. Once Leanord gets outside Able motions for him to come over to him. Able lays Nikko against the wall and tells Leanord "She took a hit but she will be fine. You have good eyes so I will leave her in your care. If she wakes up soon tell her I went to cause some trouble." Able begins to run off towards the marines.

Able is running down the street dodging past civilians running away from the fighting and some looters taking advantage of the situation. He saw a pirate sticking a blade to a mother and child. The mother had jewels around her neck. He could hear the pirate tell her to hand over the jewels or she will die. Able uses sudden step to quickly get behind the pirate and hits the pirate in the back of the head with his fist, knocking the pirate out. The mother screamed at the sight of Able, probably thinking he wanted the jewels. Suddenly he can feel blood lust and turns around to see seven marines closing in on Able, five had swords two had guns. Able turns around and says to the mother "Run get to some where safe." The mother than ran and her son thanked Able. Able faces the marines and closes his eyes to calm down. He could smell blood from the marines swords. Rage build inside and looked at the marines "You all call you're self protector of the civilized world. Please you all make me sick. However I shall not pass judgment down upon you, instead I shall let my blade deal with you're punishment." He pulls out his blade then uses sudden step, shooting past three of the marines, suddenly huge cuts appear across their chests and they fall. The two marines shot at Able,Able reacted and cut the bullets. He then turned around to slash downwards onto the marine behind him taking him down. He turns around again and swung his sword towards one of the gunmen, using his water missile to throw compressed water at the gunmen knocking him out cold. The second gunman shot again, this time Able grabbed the last swordsman and used him as a shield. The bullet hit the marine, taking him out. As the last gunman was reloading suddenly Able closed the gap between them with a sudden step, attacking the gunmen taking him out. Able looked out towards the massacre he just performed, and remembered that he must focus on his objective. He continues his charge towards the main marine forces.

Even if it was for a brief moment he remembered seeing the white hair fellow come this way. He was impressively fast must be a devil fruit ability. He then see's Ahio take out marines as well with his devil fruit powers. A strong man, hopefully he would join the crew. Then he arrived at the location of the white hair man and the five captains. They seem strong, strong enough to were one man would not last long. He walks up to the white hair man saying "Well it looks like you made some new friends, mind if I join the party?" He then looks at towards the captains sizing them up.

Nabil.

Behind the fighters outside, the tavern had finally collapsed on itself. The sound of the wood cracking was sonorous, echoing from all sides until the final pebble pounced from the fifteen foot tall mess and onto the ground. At the very top, where the sun’s ray glared its strongest and blinded white, was a crouched, seated figure.

Nabil looked down at the Marines with a tense frown, his deep green eyes were narrowed with hatred. Slowly, he raised up from the crumbled mess and judged each of them guilty for hypocrisy. Marxo, a sword-wielding stranger, and that fishman from before was gathered along with them. Which meant he’d have to be more … delicate with his approach.

“Disgusting, vermin,” muttered Nabil as he shaped the heat flowing off his body. Red-hot needles formed around him, each aimed at one of the marines surrounding his comrade and the others.

A shot from a musket banged the air as it was released towards him. Again, the thin thread pulled at him and directed his senses towards the danger. A single needle shot through it with such speed that the iron ball cracked and fell to the ground. Was that all the speed he could muster at his current level? he wondered.

“W-Wah, impossible. I know those powers. Marxo and Nabil, that strange duo from Yumil Isle. They’re … They’re here too!” Fear made the man’s words stutter and tremble.

Before the others could aim their muskets at him, Nabil sent the needles into their chests. They all froze in pain before their heads tilted back, their eyes went white, and they sunk to the ground. Each pierced in the heart. Their muskets fell to the ground and when the last hit the floor, Nabil had lept down and landed on the windy road.

He sighed with boredom. Those were rookies, obviously. If the captains and lieutenants had been there, they would have be cautious of the needles and been prepared. The fresh meat was less inclined to be wary of the needles positioned around him, unaware of the speed he could release them with. Heat was a powerful fuel.

“Party’s over, Gills,” said Nabil in response to the fishman’s question. “Marxo, you’re playing with your food again. That cig must’ve calmed you down considerably. Let’s head for the harbor, I’m sure they didn't attack our ship.”
