Some asshat put my dragons on a click site and now two of them are dead. I don't put them on click sites until it's about five days. If I find out who did it...I'll be extremely mad.

Well, yes and no.

It makes sense for her to have to get the mass to transform, I just didn't take it all the way and so it is mostly magical.

It also keeps her power in check because there is theoretically no limits as to what she could transform into.
