“For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times... before the Empire.”

First I would like to welcome you all to making your character sheets. Secondly, good luck and may the Force be with you all.

I have a couple of things I want to make clear before you get to the template.

First and foremost: Post your sheets in the OOC or PM them to me to be accepted before they get posted here.
Secondly, I will be playing the only Jedi Master everyone else should be trying to take make either a Knight, Padawan or Initiate. You can form relationships with eachother perhaps one of you is the Master to a Padawan or has helped trained the initiates. I would like it if everyone knows at least one other player. Non Jedi of course need not pay attention to this rule.

Thirdly, If you want to play any kind of canon character ask me first via PM. Anyone with an extensive background will be an immediate "No" but you can try and play a lesser known Jedi.

Fourthly, In the end this is during the height of the Republic and the Jedi Order. While there are always some loose cannons remember that you are still a Jedi and your character should act like one. Doesn't apply to non-Jedi.

Finally, Your skills and force abilities should be explained in your history. If you are a super duper ninja I want to know why. This should also be balanced by what you could have possibly learned depending on your age. This is an advanced I expect you to behave as such. I should add that all Jedi will have basic understanding of Form I: Shii-Cho, Telekenesis, Mind Control, Force Jump and Force Speed. Anything extra has to be explained. While I expect your skills to be explained in your history Non-Jedi don't get the basic Force Abilities, sorry.

Now for the template itself. You may add to it or re-arrange it if you wish.

As I said above. If you feel I have missed anything, or want to change anything feel free to do so.

Accepted Characters

Jedi Padawan Naat Reath

Name
Naat Reath

Age
17

Species
Human (Corellian)

Appearance
Standing at 1.5 meters, Naat is at a particularly mundane if a bit shorter height to her fellows. As a daughter of Corellia she has noticeably defiant traits behind her appearance and it is likely if she was not in the Jedi Order she would dress as such. Her hair was rather short in her youth but over time has had her hair grow out; sometimes covering her cerulean eyes.

Abilities & Skills
Force Abilities
  • Core Abilities

  • Battle Meditation*

Non-Force Abilities
  • Lightsaber Combat - Even as a young initiate Naat was a talented duelist, often besting her more soft-spoken brother during sparring duels before he was assigned as a padawan to Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon. Due to her focus on the lightsaber’s role in combat, Naat found herself a proficient and often overzealous talent over even the simplest force-based abilities. Her abilities were well-known as they became honed in battles such as Krant and Sarapin. Naat is known to utilize forms such as Makashi, Soresu, and Ataru; switching up depending on the situation. Naat has often been intrigued by the options from mixing and matching lightsaber forms and is curious about the “forbidden” form of Vaapad after an experience witnessing Mace Windu at the Battle of Coruscant in 19 BBY.

  • Investigation - Deductive and with a good perception, Naat is an able Jedi Investigator though she is not particularly brilliant in this aspect despite her ability to look at the “big picture”. Small things can sneak by her and cultural inflections or mannerisms are not something she has studied in earnest. She is used to people being direct with her and as such doesn’t notice when individuals have ulterior motives for or against her benefit.

  • Tactical Analysis - After her experience as a Jedi Commander throughout the Clone Wars and serving through battles on Krant, Sarapin, Coruscant, Alderaan, Dantooine, and various galactic skirmishes Naat has found herself to be a capable tactician worthy of mention. She thinks skillfully “outside the box” and can be unpredictable in her unorthodox strategies. Her intelligence allows her to think of the battlefield as a whole and was seen as a padawan of note that would meet Knighthood quickly due to her achievements.

  • Starcraft Piloting - Naat is a competent starcraft pilot, knowing how to fly small starfighters and speeders with some skill. She’s flown Jedi Starfighters, Gaba-18 speeders, and served as an additional co-pilot for more than a few transport ships. She is most at home in a small starfighter, though she is hardly the best of Jedi pilots.

  • Miscellaneous Skills - Naat briefly studied philosophy, religion, and culture through determined visits to the Jedi Archives in search of answers following her “success” on Krant.

Personality & Motivation
Despite not remembering much of her homeworld or her family, Naat (as well as her brother, Stam) exhibited decidedly Corellian traits such as confidence, defiance, and a degree of snark. However in the aftermath of the Battle on Krant Naat has found herself finding a center due to guidance from her time with Jedi master Laalth, something that has helped her as she found herself becoming a Knight of the Order as the Clone Wars seem to be coming to a close. As a Jedi she still struggles with the code completely though after her experience understands why they must distance themselves from their emotions; even if she herself is not completely removed from them. Naat despite her struggles in the past with the dark side is inherently good which was evident when she talked her first Master down during a duel with a Dark Acolyte, urging him to stay upon the side of virtue.

Biography
Naat & Stam Reath were born on Corellia in 36 BBY, though by the time they were barely out of infancy were discovered as force sensitives and inducted as initiates of the Jedi Order to where they began earnest study of the force on the planet of Coruscant. It was here that they became enthralled with the religious culture and traditions of the Jedi. Unlike her brother, Naat found herself fascinated by the concept of lightsaber combat when she found force abilities difficult to grasp; having that connection with dueling helped her remove doubt that she was not just another throwaway force sensitive and had a future with the Jedi Order. Lightsaber dueling became her whole world following the discovery of the fascination, earnestly trying to pick apart every Knight and Master who demonstrated before her. This passion would be initially overlooked due to her brother’s skillful grasping of Jedi philosophies but also raw force ability. Her brother was picked up as a Padawan and for some reason or another she remained a masterless Padawan for many years following their initiatehood.

As Naat trained herself in earnest awaiting to attract a master, a darkness dawned on the galaxy as her brother found himself involved in what would become known as the Battle of Geonosis— a battle that would begin the Clone Wars and a battle that would take her brother’s life at the end of a Dark Acolyte’s lightsaber. When Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon returned from the battle he was in distress; a distress that Naat could feel in her bones since it happened. Naat held a bond with her brother since birth and when he was struck down it was felt with great spiritual force— the most powerful instance of spiritual pain she had ever felt in her life, a pain that would cause her great grief and great anger. The name of Sev'rance Tann would cycle in her mind every single day afterward, her discontent festering as the dark side began to rear it’s head to try and twist her emotions against her ideals. The appearance of Sev'rance Tann was a precedent that the council couldn’t ignore and soon assigned Echuu Shen-Jon a new padawan; that padawan being none other than Naat Reath. Noticing the growing darkness in both Echuu and Naat, the council believed pairing them would bring the light back to their spirit and create a bond that would desire to bring Sev'rance Tann to justice. So began Naat’s entry into the Clone Wars.

The field of battle as a Jedi Commander was different than her silent study of lightsaber duels, historical battles, and lightsaber forms; a fact that became apparent to Naat upon entry into the Clone Wars. Despite this harrowing feat she found herself eager to bring Sev’rance Tann down and avenge her brother no matter what. Fighting the Separatists was just one small obstacle in her path in her way and it became evident very quickly that Naat was very good at combat despite being completely green to the battlefield outside of simulations and studies. Her master remarked on her talent for battle as being surprising, even likening her to his former master in her hardened battle ferocity. This became something the droid army of the Separatists learned on the planet of Sarapin. The objective however was not to obtain Tann but rather Zian Finnis, a Separatist officer who had been placed as overseer of Sarapin following the success of Tann’s siege. Naat and her master did not let this get in their way and with some careful battle strategies captured Finnis easily. The council hoped Finnis would become a useful informant, a fact that became apparent when he told Echuu Shen-Jon where to find Tann as far as he knew: Tatooine.

Once on Tatooine, the two Jedi began to investigate Finnis’ information— something that would become challenging on such a backwater planet nestled as a hub for the Hutt Cartel. However, when information led to learning that Boorka the Hutt had aligned himself with the Separatists, Echuu Shen-Jon began negotiations with Jabba the Hutt, Boorka’s rival. After a battle that resulted in the death of Boorka (and creating a power vacuum Jabba quickly filled) the first hint of Sev’rance Tann became apparent as information led to a planet named Krant. The council was pleased by the continued success of Shen-Jon and despite their worries told the jedi to pursue Tann asking the two Jedi to stop the problem at the source before the Separatists could gain more ground under Tann’s command. As Echuu entered the Krant system things would turn interesting as strange signals were picked up on the moon of Aereen— it became apparent that the Trade Federation had begun an illegal mining operation ordered by Tann to supplement their efforts on Krant, a dangerous precedent. The Jedi Council forbade directly invading Krant until a base of operations was established on the moon which is exactly what Echuu & Naat did.

After Jedi Master Mace Windu approved of the invasion of Krant, things only took a turn for the worst as during the siege Naat herself was captured by Tann as the Dark Acolyte goaded Echuu Shen-Jon in a duel to decide the fate of Krant and his padawan by proxy. Echuu Shen-Jon would defeat Tann, but according to Naat had sustained fatal injuries during the battle that caused his own death moments later. Naat would return to Coruscant and reported to the council about the events that took place on Krant. Now masterless Naat wondered what the council would do next as they thought on her and her late master’s accomplishments during the campaign. Following her report regarding the defeat of Sev’rance Tann, Naat Reath was looked at cautiously and was met with by her master’s former mentor and teacher, Mace Windu.

After speaking with Master Mace Windu, Naat masked her feelings as she came to reflect upon the campaign with Master Echuu Shen-Jon, unsure of where to go next. Her brother had been brought to justice, but she had also lost her jedi master in the same instant. Was the consequence worth the achievement? She took to meditation to try to find answers for herself as the council left her unassigned for some time. The thought of knighting Naat Reath came to the council’s discussions, though she had only served in four battles thus far and despite the emotion that had left her had much to learn. Despite being masterless it became clear that Naat’s innate talent for combat, battle, and tactics was needed— thus it was decided that she would be thrown back into battle as she served as an informal padawan to jedi knight’s who needed aid in the battles that consumed the galaxy. Assigned to Mace Windu as a commander at the Battle of Malastare Naat witnessed one of the most fierce battles of the entire Clone Wars firsthand, making her previous experiences on Krant, Sarapin, and Tatooine seem like child’s play. After accidentally awakening the Zilo Beast Mace Windu’s forces started an attempt to combat and capture the creature but it was soon discovered that it was impervious to lightsabers and blaster fire. Naat is ordered by Mace Windu to rescue non-military and injured units out of the range of the creature.

As Naat began to be more successful she found her force powers growing despite her minimal usage of them beforehand. She soon learned that her innate battle affinity was a consequence of her connection to the force and not just raw physical skill— the legendary force ability known as “Battle Meditation”. Whilst Naat was far from being as prodigal as Bastila Shan during the Jedi Civil War, the ability was still quite rare. She would begin to attempt to hone this ability for the Order’s and the Republic’s benefit; the path was difficult but she was certain it could turn future battles in the light’s favor. Following Naat’s involvement during the Battle of Coruscant discussions about the female jedi by the council have been brought up again, but it seems more pressing matters have been brought to their attention as of late...

Secrets
Battle of Krant - Working alongside colonial Wookiee’s who had escaped Separatist imprisonment, Naat Reath would become a pivotal piece of what would become known as the Battle of Krant. However, the temptations of the dark side were quite strong and within her youthful ignorance found herself drawn towards the concept of vengeance as she hoped to kill Sev'rance Tann for her execution of her brother during the Battle of Geonosis. Many struggles with the dark side of the force would become apparent and she witnessed her own master’s struggle with staying in the light. A multitude of secrets were spawned on Krant which she withheld from the Jedi Council upon her return to Coruscant following the battle.

Relations
Echuu Shen-Jon - The Jedi Master who taught Naat & Stam Reath in the ways of the force. He is believed to have perished during the conclusion of the Battle of Krant.

Stam Reath - Her deceased brother who was the first apprentice of Master Echuu Shen-Jon. His death served as a catalyst for Naat’s struggle with the dark side of the force as well as her conflictions regarding justice and vengeance.

Mace Windu - Her current mentor and "informal" master. Mace has continued observation on Naat after the death of his former padawan, Echuu Shen-Jon. He hopes to guide her forward, though he seems preoccupied with the war and other events that have gathered his attention.

Charuri Rol - Another Jedi Padawan stationed currently at the temple on Coruscant. Reputation and Familiarity are likely though from what Naat figures is that her and Charuri are polar opposites when it comes to manners and ideals.

*her talent for battle meditation is limited and an extremely underdeveloped affinity she has, she cannot inspire entire fleets or even large armies but rather one or two other Jedi at a time.

Name: Worror Taldura
Age: 49
Species: Ithorian
Appearance:
Force Abilities:
  • Basic Abilities: While he has studied the basic abilities he is not that skilled in any area of mind control.
  • Plant Surge: His natural affinity with working with Plant life and his connection to the Force he has the ability to bend them to his will.
  • Force Stasis: Through training, and an unwillingness to harm except when absolutely necessary he has become proficient in stunning people rather than maiming and killing them.
  • Force Comprehend: It is always useful for a diplomat to be able to understand what someone is saying without having to study a language for years.

Non-Force Abilities:
  • Lightsaber Combat: Though he is not a fan of it he is skilled in the use of Shii-Cho, Soresu and Sokan.
  • Diplomat: Worror is a trained diplomat, and as such is versed in many cultures and traditions. He also has studied history extensively.
  • Peace of Mind: Due to the Ithorian way of life, and his years as a Jedi he has a clear and quiet mind. Which helps him to make clear and unbiased decisions.
  • Shuttle Pilot: He hasn’t had any practice in flying Star-Fighters, trying to avoid combat wherever possible and not having been directly involved in the Clone Wars. He can however pilot shuttles and freighters.
  • Concussive Scream: With his nature of being Ithorian, he can violently expel air from his four throats in a deafening/concussive scream.
  • Botanist: While he actively meditates Roron finds peace in and finds there is a certain level of tranquility in plant life, his use off Plant Surge has allowed him to study the inner workings of plants and as such he has become quite proficient in working with plants.

Personality/Motivation: Worror is wholeheartedly devoted to life, and the Jedi Order. He will always try to prevent the Darkness for gaining a foothold in the galaxy but without the risk of damaging life. Prior to, and including the Clone Wars he avoided the fight in order to try and fix things. Even the life of Clones were important to him which is why the clones that often acted as his escort respected him, as he respected them and treated them fairly.

Despite this inward drive to protect all life and follow the code from the outside the way he holds his demeanor he can appear to be distant and uncaring in lieu of following the code but deep down his personal requirement to preserve all life is the only thing that he holds dearer. He often expresses his caring willingly, however he never loses his cool and has never been seen to be aggressive, upset or annoyed.

His respect for life comes between his support for the theory of the Living Force and after spending time on Ithor he has come to understand the Law of Life but he has also adopted it into his way of life.

Biography:

Secrets:

Ithor: On Ithor was the only time Worror has ever taken a life. When faced with no alternative and the lives of an unknown number of animals and plants on Ithor and that of one Separatist when all other options failed he chose to take the life of the Separatist.

Despite the fact he was not raised on Ithor he subscribed heavily to their Law of Life, and as such as one life was taken two must take its place. He took a tissue sample and after asking Feemor and Charuri to keep it secret he had the sample sent to Kamino for two clones to be made of the commander.

Relations:
  • Trya Aland: Besalisk Jedi Guardian, Ex Padawan.
  • Feemor: Jedi Investigator/Diplomat previously worked alongside.
  • Charuri Rol: Padawan to Feemor, worked on the same mission.
  • Seris Vakaan: Due to a large portion of his time being spent in the archives, he has come to know and respect her.
  • Due to his team helping teach he knows a myriad of Jedi that he has helped teach at one point or another.

Jedi Padawan Charuri Rol

Name: Charuri Rol
Age: 16
Species: Cathar
Force Abilities:
  • Core Abilities
  • Comprehend Speech
  • Hibernation trance
  • Malacia

Non-Force Abilities:

  • Form I - Shii-Cho
  • Form III - Soresu*
  • Sleight of Hand
  • Street Smarts
  • Knowledgeable on a vast spectrum of Galactic History, Culture and Politics due to her Master
  • Persuasive

Personality/Motivation:
In the short time Charuri has resided in the galaxy, she has seen some of the worst and best that it has to offer. Bearing witness to this dichotomy at a young age has given her an outlook on life different than most would have. At the crossroads presented to her she choose to embrace life instead of rejecting it for what it had done. She acknowledges that terrible things happen to good people for no good reason, that the good guys never seem to win and that life seems to have no inherent meaning. Though because of that she believes it was up to the people to find their own meaning and if that was the case why can't their meaning and actions be good for once before they all die? The teachings of her master helped influence and shape this idea into a path that could be followed with her showing great respect towards all forms of life and the values of taking and learning from these varied cultures. Despite this though with Cathar blood running through her veins she still has problems with her temper at times wanting to swing when she should speak and taunt when she should calm. These lapses in anger are troubling as they show the temptation of the darkside but through her master's unorthodox teachings she had learned ways to at least try and keep them in check.

The idea of the future is really what drives her forward. To her it was one of the most important ideas that anybody could have because it inspired hope and with it allowed one to distance himself from the darkside. She wants to take things in stride always looking at the road ahead and the ground at her feet as opposed to the mistakes behind her. She wants to appear strong to those that need her to be strong and willing to help those that need a hand. Really I guess she just wants to live up the teachings and ideals that she was brought up with and taught, to be able to look past the darkness to show that all those that died for her to live did not die in vain and their ways of life would live on.

Biography:
Charuri was born in 35 BBY on Nar Shaddaa, the smuggler's moon. Her mother Xasyhi was one of the prized dancers (read as slave) of Zulo Funack'r Elra, a Hutt Crime Lord and leader of the Funack'r Kajidic. Her father Hasu was one of Zulo's most trusted bodyguards. The two fell in love and began a relationship that could've easily gotten them killed for going behind Zulo's back. Everything was going fine and peachy until Xasyhi accidentally became pregnant when contraceptives failed. The pair tried to hide the pregnancy for as long as possible but eventually the physical changes on Xashyi were too obvious not to notice. Outraged by the betrayal, Zulo ended up having Hasu executed out back in a dirty alleyway and his body dumped in a trash heap. But for Xasyhi, Zulo needed to set an example for the rest of his property. Once Xasyhi came to term, Zulo had all but one of her litter killed leaving her only with the runt sickly and small which would probably die in a week. But the little girl did not die and her mother would name her Charuri after her own grandmother, a great warrior and matriarch to her clan.

Growing up in the heart of a Hutt Kajidic is what one might call a somewhat different upbringing than most. Since her mother had to tend to her duties as they were as soon as the girl could walk on her own, Charuri would spent most of her time wandering the Hutt's compound on her own. Besides the rooms beyond the "Big Door" which lead down to Zulo's offices were business was conducted, Charuri had more or less free reign of the rest of the compound. During this years she was mostly obviously to what actually happened at the compound and she would realize it until much later by the time she had already been spirited away. The child's positive and adorable demeanor got her a long way with most of Zulo's staff and they would "educate" her on many topics that most children don't learn about like how to break a man's arm in one motion or what drugs when mixed together are the most lethal and other useful tidbits of information, it takes a village as they say. Though her favorite of these friends had to be the son of Zulo's head chef, a corellian boy by the name of Gren two years older than her. The two would get into many misadventures with one another sneaking around the compound at times they weren't supposed to and such.

This came to an end when Charuri was six years old in 29 BBY. The Galactic Republic after much work and joint efforts between Jedi Peacekeeper and the Judicial Forces had been able to build up a case against Zulo and the Funack'r Kajidic to bring down his criminal empire primarily for his role in helping arm the Kaleesh aggressors during the Huk War. This culminated in a raid on Zulo's compound after he refused to turn himself in peacefully. The raid was spearheaded by a Klatooinian Jedi by the name of Raonk. Since the compound was made up of many tight corridors with little large spaces beside the audience chamber, the fighting was fierce and the Republic forces had to take it room by room. Eventually though they succeeded and Zulo himself was killed in the fighting as well as Charuri's mother who had been used as a human shield and was unfortunately caught in the crossfire. Amidst this carnage and destruction was a scared, crying and very unhappy Charuri and Raonk the Jedi who had been primarily responsible for all of it, took pity on the girl and took her back with him to the Jedi Temple.

At the temple she was tested and found to be force sensitive and a good candidate to be a Jedi. Despite some fears that her upbring may lead her to temptation more easily and the fact of her advanced age she was accepted as a youngling. This readjustment period was hard for Charuri as she immediately became an outsider as most of the younglings she was with had been together since birth practically. Because of this and the fears about her past she had much more to prove and maybe because of that pushed harder all because of it. Her combat skills were fairly good as she adapted some of the tricks that she had learned on Nar Shaddaa which give her an edge. But in terms of control over the Force there was much to be desired, though her favorite classes were those by Master Yoda on the nature of the force itself which she found to be intriguing and would help shape her own beliefs. She would eventually graduate from youngling to Padawan at the age of 12 in 23 BBY when after being deemed ready by the council and after gaining the interest of Jedi Investigator and part time diplomat Feemor.

Feemor was a well respected Jedi Diplomat under the Council of Reconciliation and notable for being the first Padawan under the famous Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn whose teachings had rubbed off on him some in his own teaching styles. They said that his wisdom and compassion was some of his greatests assets and that he could end entire conflicts with one speech. The two were paired together with the intent of Feemor's teachings and ideals to help smooth out Charuri's rougher past and the Cathar tendency to strike first and ask question later. While Feemor did teach her more with lightsaber techniques and force powers later on at first he taught her things like history, culture and philosophy of species around the world mostly focused on the planet they happened to be on at the time. While at first Charuri found this tiresome she soon learned that in many ways these teaching were two fold teaching her important lessons about those subjects but also about the Jedi Code and the proper way to live life and so she began to pay closer attention to them.

The start of the Clone Wars, one year later would bring in an entirely different perspective for Charuri. While most padawans, knights and masters saw mostly of combat and fighting against the Separatists forces Feemor's position as a diplomat made her see a different side of the war. They spent their time in tight games of political intrigue and doubt in games to seal trade contracts and support before the Separatists could. During this time Feemor's more unorthodox teachings came out with his tendency to "bend" a few rules to get the job done and do good things and his more shrewd ways. During this time Feemor taught her the importance of learning and living and doing what was right no matter the consequences. He also began to teach her some more oddities in the ways of the Force including comprehend speech and Malachi to show her that conflict could be resolved without ever using your lightsaber, a memorable occasion being when he used Malachi to make a separatist diplomate throw up all over a prospective trade partner that the Republic and Separatist were dealing with and utterly destroying his chances at sealing a deal with them securing Republic Support.

In more recent years, her progress from the start of her teaching under Feemor made her look like an almost entirely different person, more centered and sure of herself and at peace with the world like a true Jedi. Feemor himself even said that someday she would make a great Diplomat if she choose to be so. Though those dreams have now seem will never come to fruition as recalled from active duty for some well earned rest back at the Temple at Coruscant they got caught in the middle of Operation Knightfall. Feemor would die defending the temple and protecting Charuri's life. The temple is burning and her world is coming tumbling down.

Secrets:
Chance Encounter with Gren:
Little did Charuri know that Gren, the son of Zulo's head chef had ended up surviving the attack on the Compound and was orphaned as well. Unlike Charuri though he was never discovered by the Republic and left under a pile of rubble. He clawed his way out of the rubble and swore revenge on the Republic that had destroyed his life. Charuri would met him years later when Charuri fifteen and he was seventeen now working as a bounty hunter for the Separatists acting as a sort of Assassin. They were on a mission on Rodia to help secure a trade deal when Gren struck killing the Rodian official. Charuri and Feemor were then tasked with hunting this Assassin and bringing him in. They tracked Gren into the dense rainforests and Feemor and Charuri were separated when the edge of a cliff underneath Charuri give way and sent her tumbling into a strong river, throwing her far downstream.

She would find Gren when she was trying to regroup with Master Feemor and the two would engage in combat. The young padawan managed to just barely defeat her old friend, but she found herself unable to bring him in when the time came. She just left him defeated laying in the muddy dirt and looking up angrily as she ran to regroup with her master. She would never tell Feemor what happened and after another day of searching they decided to give up on the chase as he was deemed long gone and anyway they had a deal to finish. So Gren escaped, horrified to find out his old friend had become a Jedi working for the Republic he hated so much.

Relations:
Feemor: Charuri's master, an aging human male and one time Padawan of Qui-Gon Jinn. He followed in the traditions of his master before him placing great value on the life of all things and the importance that understanding cultures allowed for peace. He helped instil these views into the next generation to follow in his footsteps including Charui. With his keen mind and willingness to learn and intermingle with new culture and peoples he was given the duty of a Jedi Investigator attached to the Diplomatic Corps. He like his master before him had the tendency to "bend" some rules in the sake of doing good but even still he was much more rooted and where his master was ostracized, yet revered by those that knew him. Feemor managed to be well respected and keep to his own code knowing when to fold his hand where his master did not.

Naat Reath: The two are at least aware of one another and their reputations. Both having been at the temple on leave for some time chance encounters cannot be avoided. Though as of now they seem to be on two entirely different spectrums.

Gren: The boy from her childhood turned assassin for hire by the separatists. Hates Jedi and Hates the Republic.

Raonk: The Jedi Peacekeeper that lead the raid to bring down the Hutt and in the process ended up rescuing her. Believed to have been killed in the aftermath of Order 66.

Worror Taldura: Charuri met Worror during the mission to Ithor, when the group using Worror Ithorian heritage and connections as well as Feemor's unique investigation skills. They worked for several months on the case with the Ithorian and in that time, Charuri got to know Worror, she liked him because he held the same views of the importance of life and learning from all cultures much in the same way that her and Feemor viewed the world. This all came to a conclusion in a series of events which lead Feemor and Charuri to swear an oath of silence to the Ithorian an oath that as new found friends they promised to keep.
*only a moderate understanding, no mastery or anything like that.

Jedi Padawan Jenner Helios

Name: Jenner Helios

Age: 19

Species: Human

Appearance:
Jenner has a fairly slender build, standing at 1.75 meters and weighing 65 kilograms. His brown hair is fairly long and a little messy at times, and his eyes are a greenish color, though some traces of hazel can be seen in them. He generally has a very calm and relaxed look about him, making him an easily approachable person.

Force Abilities: As a general rule, Jenner has a strong preference towards cloak-and-dagger techniques, leaning towards force techniques promoting such things as high agility, stealth, and, to a small extent, subterfuge. He finds that in the event that combat is a possibility, it is advantageous to be in a position to avoid it or, if it cannot be avoided, attain the upper hand before it begins. He also finds it useful for gathering information, and using that to his advantage. Even if he doesn't need such intelligence in any sort of adverse situation, he can't help but be curious sometimes. He did learn one thing deviating from this pattern which is detoxify poison, though he only did so at Master Windu's behest.

  • Core Abilities (with improved training on Force Jump and Force Speed)
  • Force Concealment
  • Detoxify Poison
  • Force Cloak (weakly trained)

Non-Force Abilities: To compliment his force abilities, Jenner is naturally quite agile and nimble, making him a difficult adversary. He has demonstrated quite the talent for the Ataru lightsaber technique, and has integrated Soresu into this technique to an extent. It may come as a matter of concern for some Jedi masters, but Jenner's naturally calm and level-headed demeanor helps to assuage some doubts as to his motivations for learning a relatively aggressive technique. Additionally, he rarely ever attacks his opponents directly, and prefers to simply evade his opponents until they give up, though he is adept enough in combat that he could hold his own against one with the same level of training fairly easily.

Personality/Motivation: Jenner has always had a very calm, neutral, and relaxed demeanor. He is carefree in the sense that he is very relaxed in things like his speech, his actions, etc. and while it may come off as obtrusive and, in some cases, rude, he never means any harm by it. More than anything he is simply non-confrontational, and will in many cases be the first to try to diffuse any arguments that may occur between two colleagues. He tends to be somewhat quiet, though he is friendly and open to those he does talk to. He does also tend to joke around a bit in casual situations, and has sometimes engaged in a couple of lightly mischievous acts of harmless fun.

Though his original motivation for pursuing his training in the Jedi Academy was to become a knight and defend the citizens of the Galactic Republic, he soon found the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom a more rewarding experience, though he still held on to the desire to be a guardian. Ultimately, his mindset of neutrality would lead him to begin to question some aspects of the Jedi Council, and while no words have been shared between them, he can tell that Master Fora is well aware of his grey tendencies. While Fora has shown no sign of doubt towards Jenner for this reason, a few others in the council have taken notice and begun scrutinizing him, Master Windu included. He knows it will likely set him back on the path to becoming a Jedi Knight, but he pays it no mind. In the end, he has no doubts that he will stay, generally, in the light.

Biography: Jenner was born on the ocean world Manaan to his parents Jaalek and Yuli, both human. At that time, Manaan was a very obscure planet, known only for it's main export, an antiquated medical agent known as kolto. Although outdated and outdone by bacta, it was still in some use throughout the galaxy. His parents worked for the Selkath government as technicians in kolto refinement and production. Predictably, it wasn't the highest paying job, but it was enough to get by and save up a bit here and there for passage to a planet with more promising job prospects. For now though, they were happily living in a nice apartment in a part of Ahto City that managed to avoid damage from prior conflicts. Jenner passed much of the time becoming friends with young Selkath and exploring parts of the city that had since been abandoned. Even in as bad of shape as much of the city was, it was fairly safe simply due to the fact that hardly anyone came through anymore, let alone anyone dangerous. The majority of it's denizens were the native Selkath, and through his fishy friends, Jenner became aware of the Selkath government's ideas of strict neutrality and moderation.

Being busy, and having fairly little contact with the Republic, it wasn't until Jenner was five that his parents discovered his force sensitivity. The Jedi Council was notified immediately and Master Windu arrived within a month to bring Jenner back to the council. Shortly after being evaluated, Jenner was given a short period of one on one training with Master Windu to get up to speed before being placed in a clan. Windu and Jenner got along very well, and it was realized early on that Jenner's little time on Manaan may have had a great effect on his attitude, as he was a very calm and level-headed individual from the very beginning of his training. He rarely ever became frustrated or confrontational, and his training progressed faster than expected.

After a couple of months, he was placed in a clan and quickly found himself rising through the ranks. He began to earn the respect of the others in his clan, and he found himself becoming quite the scholar. Along with his fairly quick acquisition of competence with the force, he became very interested in learning new things, particularly about such things as philosophy and the Jedi Code. His fast learning with the force was met with some drawbacks, however, and he was slower in developing his skills with a lightsaber.

Nonetheless, he graduated to Padawan status at the age of 11 and was chosen by Jedi Knight Rayne Fora to continue his training. Although not yet a Master, Rayne had much experience, and was not far from being accepted as a Master by the Council. Rayne was an adept duelist, and his training helped Jenner's lightsaber skills progress at a much faster rate. Not as fast as with his force powers, but he was showing significant progress. At the same time, Rayne shared some pieces of wisdom and philosophy with Jenner, which he said were things he had been taught by a former Jedi Master named Qui-Gon Jin. Jenner found that some of the philosophies seemed somewhat unorthodox, and when he questioned Rayne, he simply responded by saying "I've no doubt you'll understand one day."

After becoming proficient in Shii-Cho, his efforts shifted towards building upon his already impressive agility. In the next few months, he strengthened his skills with force jump and force speed and concurrently took up Ataru to compliment his tendencies. It was also at this point that he found himself needing to juggle the work that he was given and his general training, which, in turn, opened some doors with the other Masters as far as communication went. After learning of the force cloak ability, he immediately became intrigued by it and sought advice on gaining such a trait. Despite knowing how difficult a skill it was to attain, it was one that he felt he should know. He learned that Aayla Secura was one such practitioner of the skill, and after consulting with Rayne, the Knight allowed him to undertake training with Secura to cultivate the ability.

In the few months that Aayla was able to instruct him before the start of the Clone Wars they had built a strong bond, and though he was able to learn how to employ the technique, Secura had left before she could assist him in strengthening his skills. He continued practicing it, taking pride in being able to perform such a skill, although imperfectly at the time. Still, he knew that there were still things he could likely not learn without mentorship and instead turned back to strengthening his lightsaber skills and improving his agility. Around this time, Rayne felt that Jenner was properly prepared to accompany him on more difficult or dangerous tasks off-world. Many of which took the both of them to the outer rim, where Jenner was exposed to societies completely different than those in the core worlds. It gave him some perspective he had never had before. During one of their assignments, he and Rayne felt that they were in the vicinity of a dark presence. Their job having been done, and wanting to avoid any unnecessary confrontation, they quickly left, though not before Jenner caught a glimpse of the Dark Jedi, who in turn simply looked at him, smiled, and walked off.

The event shook him a little, but he managed to collect himself. Upon returning to the Jedi Academy, he began to think about why the Dark Jedi hadn't done anything to stop them, which he very well could have. He soon rationalized that it wasn't worth the effort, but at one point it led him to ponder the meaning of some aspects of the Jedi Code, and some of the Jedi Masters' teachings. He found that some of it was inconsistent, and he outright disagreed with a couple of things upon thinking about it. His neutral mentality began to take over, and he found himself wondering about the very relationship between the dark and light side of the force. He then began to start thinking more about what Rayne had told him earlier in his training, and it began to make sense.

He knew that such thoughts would likely put him under scrutiny, but he didn't let it bother him too much. He could tell that Rayne at least had picked up on it, though he never outwardly said anything about it or seemed to have any doubts about Jenner. At one point, the subject had come up while they were talking, and Rayne dropped a couple of hints suggesting that he was fully aware of Jenner's realization. Shortly thereafter, he could tell that some others in the council were beginning to sense the discrepancy in Jenner's thoughts. It seemed to put him under scrutiny for a bit, and prompted Master Windu to intervene to a small extent, but after some time and deliberation on Rayne's part, things seemed to settle down after the Council noted no further changes in Jenner's outlook or behavior. Still, he could tell it would probably change some of the council members' outlook on him, and possibly even set him back somewhat in how they evaluated him when he became eligible to become a knight. Still, he didn't let it get to him and took it in stride, as usual.

There came a few points when Aayla was able to continue mentoring Jenner on using force cloak. Though he was still far from proficient, he became good enough that he could visibly mask his presence for a short period of time in a competent manner. He considered it a great milestone in his training, but of course Aayla was never around long enough to help him mold such a skill farther than that. Regardless, he found it much easier to improve upon when he could actually do it successfully to begin with.

As he shifted his focus back towards his lightsaber skills and began practicing with others in the academy, he used his focus on agility to his advantage and would always fight defensively. In the roughly thirty practice sessions he's been in, he has only been hit three times. Much to the chagrin of some of the other Padawans, he sometimes wouldn't even put up a fight; just keep evading until they called it a draw. Part of his mind likely thought of it as a game, though in most situations where he did strike, he ended up winning. In this time, he also began to become further acquainted with some of the other Padawans, and in some cases even began to find himself assisting them to a small extent.

His training continued until he became one of the fastest and most nimble Padawans in the academy. Just as the council began making mention of his taking the tests to attain knightship, he felt a series of disturbances in the force, along with several others. At one point in particular, he could tell that Secura had been killed. As he would later learn, Order 66 had been executed, and he soon found his inner calm being put to the test.

Secrets:
Doesn't like people knowing he can sing.

Relations:
Rayne Fora: Jenner's master during his Padawan training, and a great influence in his lightsaber proficiency and concepts of philosophy.

Aayla Secura: Taught Jenner how to use the force cloak technique and became good friends during Jenner's training.

Mace Windu: Prominent Jedi Master in Jenner's training, as well as the one who originally brought him to the Jedi Council and started him down the path to becoming a Jedi.

Charuri Rol: A somewhat younger padawan that Jenner has become further acquainted with after running into her a couple of times on different assignments and during training at the academy.

Jedi Knight T'ish Keth

Name: T'ish Keth

Age: 54

Species: Kel Dor

Appearance: This Kel Dor stands at the taller end of the scale - measuring in at a rather respectable six feet and four inches tall - the usually willowy figure of his people not to be found in this toned wall of muscle, years of intensive training lending him a quite obvious physical difference between he and his brethren with his broad shoulders and muscular physique lending a visible bulk uncommon in others of his species; as far as the rest of him is concerned, he is quite average, the usual organs and body wrinkles of the Kel Dor in all the correct places, his skin a rather crimson hue and his dark eyes with there unique silver iris obscured by the usual eye-goggles of a Kel Dor off world.

His tusked breather mask, however, is perhaps his most treasured possession after his lightsaber, the triangular object inscribed around the edge with Kel Dorian runes by the Baran Do Sages of his homeworld; although the actual meaning would make no sense in Galactic Basic, it is both a blessing on him and a curse upon his enemies.

Clothing wise, he is a traditionalist and a minimalist, wearing the cream and brown robes of the Jedi Order he dedicated his life to almost every moment. The only time this changes is in open battle, as opposed to a one-on-one duel, altered clone armour protecting his torso and vulnerable extremities.
Force Abilities:
  • Basic Abilities: Is fully capable in all the basic abilities of the Jedi, though does no excel at any one in particular.
  • Control Pain: Through thorough meditation and bodily exercises, as well as digging deep into the Force, T'ish is able to control his own pain. Whether a saber cut, a blaster burn, or a broken bone, this Kel Dor is able to keep on fighting when others would have succumbed long before.
  • Battle Precognition: Most helpful for combining with the natural heightened reflexes of the Kel Dor, the ability to predict an adversaries movements before they even realise can only be a good thing.
  • Force Comprehend: Saves having to have a translator droid hovering around your head!
  • Force Valour: Using the Force to enhance his already considerable abilities, this Knight is able to push his body above-and-beyond what it would usually be capable of. Although it gives him an edge, it is also draining on body and mind once battle is ended and requires time to recover from.

Non-Force Abilities:
  • Lightsaber Combat: Combat with the chosen weapon of the Jedi is somewhat of this Knights forte, his skills with a blade far exceeding that of his force capabilities; throughout his early training, as well as his Trials, this was quite obvious to his Master as well as his peers. Like most Jedi he became quite proficient in Form I (Shii-Cho) during his early years, but gradually moved on toward more specific goals with his training in mind.

This specialised - and far more focused - training, saw T'ish begin a personal task of bending Form VI or Niman to his will.

Being both a warrior and a scholar, this scion of the Keth family had studied Jedi records and history as thoroughly and as far back as he possibly could. Names of great Jedi were commonplace, but the name of Exar Kun - arguably the greatest duelist of his era - struck a chord with the young Kel Dor during the time he was only beginning to find his feet. Of course, his studies also showed him what the temptations of the Dark Side and ones own arrogance could do to a being, something he was determined would not happen in his own case.

Decades of study and training followed, focused far more on the blending of lightsaber movements and skills than those force techniques which were supposed to accompany a Niman practitioner in combat, T'ish giving his blood, sweat and energy in his quest to master the Sixth Form...a quest which continues to this day.
  • Unarmed Combat: As with most Jedi, T'ish initially learnt the basic movement and forms of unarmed combat prescribed to by the Jedi Order, delving deeper into the archives and questioning his instructors in order to discover and attempt to learn other forms of martial arts from various worlds and cultures; not an expert in any specific art, he can nonetheless defend himself in a proficient way should he become disarmed.
  • Single Mindedness: Once he has found something to latch his mind onto he will not stop, sometimes to the detriment of himself or others, pursuing it with the precision and perfection of a obsessed craftsman at work.
  • Black and White: The Kel Dor as a species have always viewed 'the law' as an extremely simple thing, leading them to have their own firm sense of what is right and what is wrong. Being equally as unimaginative, though profoundly influenced by his time serving the Order, he nevertheless has managed to rile others on more than one occasion with his choices.
  • Competent Pilot: He is an adequate, but not especially skilled, pilot, able to fly fighters and small craft without finesse but also without trouble.
  • Warrior-Scholar: Somewhat of the archetypical warrior-monk, T'ish combines his almost possessive study of lightsaber combat with a rigorous and focused regime of texts, as such he has gained great knowledge in many things and wisdom beyond his current years. Whether he chooses to actually use any of it is another matter.
  • Focused Meditation: Meditation is a daily occurence for this Jedi, having become almost a necessity by now, it has allowed him to hone the force powers that he commonly uses on his own body, as well as giving him a somewhat isolationist air in the company of others. Truly, when not training, he spends more time within his own mind than anywhere else.

Personality/Motivation: T'ish has ever sought to become a great warrior, constantly strengthening himself internally and sharpening his outward technique, sometimes neglecting the study of the Force that was in fact the entire point of Niman in the first place! Nevertheless, he is well read and contains an almost innate sense of compassion for others - something very hard to see behind his few words, strong moral direction, and limited but important personal goals.

Some within the Order see his behaviour and attitude actively going against what the Jedi stand for, and it is very likely that this is the reason - in spite of his advanced humanoid age - that he has never been offered the rank of Master. The truth is that he has never been anything but loyal to the Jedi Order, to the principles which they uphold, and to the Light Side of the force as a whole...although he has never really seemed to care much for any of the former either, except to advance his own studies.

In short, he is a blunt, sometimes aggressive, but usually emotionally distant being. He is loyal to his friends, and even warm to those that might get close enough to him to see, impossible to distract from his duties once he has began them, and said by more than one of his superiors to be a credit to the Order.

Secrets:

Inner Conflicts: Due to his species' innate sense of right and wrong, as well as his dedication to martial training, T'ish is regularly plagued by internal conflicts of various sorts. Most recently, he had been pondering once more on the path that was taken by the once-Jedi Exar Kun, how letting in some of the Dark Side clearly enchanced his prowess with the lightsaber, but also led him down a path to his own destruction. Such thoughts are dangerous to a Jedi, even more so in the current climate - so uncertain as the future is, and clouded by the very same Dark Side - and the Kel Dor swordsman does his very best to keep such thoughts under wraps and to himself.

Relations:

  • Falak Doo-Tar: Rodian Jedi Master, Former Master.

Name: Seris Vakaan
Age: 32
Species: Miraluka
Appearance:

If you saw Seris, you very likely wouldn’t immediately guess she worked for the Jedi Archives. She is tall, with a slender, whipcord build, and walks with the sort of easy confidence that suggests she should swagger - but can’t quite be bothered to. Her skin is a rich olive, as though her ancestors were from the desert and she herself spends quite a lot of time in the sun. When she wears something without sleeves, there are myriad small marks on her hands and arms - some the marks of someone who works with her hands, but others clearly the graffiti of violence. Straight, dark hair with streaks of hard, fine silver falls to just below her ears in a playful, almost-but-not-quite-boyish cut. Her features are likewise impish - friendly and pleasant, though more striking than traditionally pretty. Like the rest of her kind, Seris’ eyes are milky-white and blind, though she breaks with the majority of her people and chooses not to keep them covered. Seris’ hands are quick and strong, with long fingers and neatly-trimmed nails. Both of her ears are pierced a number of times, usually filled with small decorations from a handful of worlds.

While closely affiliated with the Order, Seris is not a Jedi, and does not wear the traditional brown robe. She prefers well-made and hard-wearing clothes, tailored well and usually in earth tones. She’s been told she looks very good in blue but…well, how would she know? She has no tattoos, and her most-visible scar a small mark under her left eye, faded to a barely-visible curve the width of her little fingertip.

Force Abilities:

  • Force Sight - As a Miraluka, Seris is deeply, profoundly connected to the Force. This manifests most obviously as perceiving the world around her through that medium - and that is not always to her advantage.
  • Of course, this means that Seris is physically blind. She cannot see even in abundant normal light; her brain has no structures to process that information, she lacks an optic nerve, and there are no light-sensitive structures within her eyes. She might be able to “see” in the dark - but those of a sinister persuasion might arrange things such that she cannot see in the Dark.
  • Some Basic Jedi Force skills - Telekinesis, Force Jump, Force Speed. There’s a reason for this, keep reading.

Non-Force Abilities:
  • Archaeologist - Seris started her career in archaeology, and genuinely finds chasing through books, stories, and even oral histories to be as exhilarating as following clues in a tractless desert, looking for an ancient and almost-forgotten crypt. She used to be a member of the Republic Archaeology Society, but missed too many meetings and functions to be welcome. Now, of course, that’s not much of a concern.
  • Pilot - The long-range shuttle that the Order traditionally loans her is by far what Seris is most comfortable with, though she certainly is familiar with the larger transport ship they most recently let her borrow for longer trips into the galaxy. She is an excellent pilot, and while the ship itself is almost completely stock, the hyperdrive works perfectly - which has made much more of a difference than maneuvering capability.
  • Mechanic - Seris is on her own a lot, and knows how to repair most minor and routine problems with her shuttle, and even several on the larger transport the Order has loaned her. She also has a keen appreciation of when her skills have run out, and when she needs to swallow her pride and spend some credits at a proper repair depot.
  • Cosmopolitan - Some of the stories Seris follows are so old that even books mentioning them as doubtful rumor have crumbled to dust. And, of course, none of those are written in Galactic Common. She is conversant in a large number of languages, fluent in Huttese, and at home almost everywhere.
  • Thief - There’s no point in kicking down the front door if a window’s been left unlocked - or can be unlocked. Seris has an…unorthodox perspective of personal property laws, and some treasures have returned to the Archives from an officially-anonymous donor, regardless of how incensed their former owners might be about the matter. She’s rather accomplished at disabling security systems, sneaking past guards, and, in general, doing things without getting caught.
  • Educated - Seris is a University graduate, learns quickly, and still has the kind of flexible, adaptable mind that doomed her career in academia.
  • Musical talent - Seris is a fine singer, though she prefers the sort of slow, melodic, contemplative music of her home to the more staccato rhythms of the Core Worlds. She can also play an instrument quite like a guitar, though she’s nothing like a virtuoso. Still, you don’t need to be for campfire songs.
  • Dancer - Seris has learned small, useful things from her years roaming the galaxy, but there are few things she loves more than making her body move with kind of smooth, sensuous, irresistible motions that would make even a seasoned Twi’lek blush.
  • Body Awareness - Seris has a very nearly perfect sense of proprioception, and both knows where her body is at all times, and how to make it do what she wants. She is graceful, confident, and moves with the subtle beauty of wind on water.

Personality/Motivation: Many Miraluka are calm, cool, and even reserved, but Seris has always been the black sheep of her family. While she is charming, articulate, friendly and witty, she is also ambitious and proud. These last, combined with a wide streak of willfulness, stubbornness, and incandescent curiosity, have gotten Seris into more than a few complex situations - and out of them, as well. She is meticulous and careful, with none of the rash wildness some might expect, and cannot abide the idea of doing a thing badly. Saying she has a problem with authority isn’t entirely true - but you’ll know when she disagrees or has problems with an idea.

Seris is ferociously proud of her sister and of her accomplishments within the Order, and she is cognizant of how unusual her own affiliation with the Jedi is. While her thoughts and feelings on Jedi philosophies are complex, she is familiar with them and at her core, Seris believes that the Jedi are a force for good. She also tends to hold members of the Order to a very high standard, and despite her near-total lack of actual authority, has chastised Padawans, Initiates, Knights and Masters with a whip-crack sternness and almost total fearlessness. Maybe she’s even done some good that way.

Biography:

Even to the Jedi, the Miraluka have always been something of a mystery. The protectors of the Republic rarely came to Alpheridies, and those who did tended not to stay for long. The quiet, industrious people of that planet would seem to have much to offer the Order, but few of them wanted a place in galactic affairs. Their strange, dark world still carried scars of the last great war thousands of years ago, and among the Miraluka, memory was long and slow. These people knew their families, their soil, their history, and the Force, and they preferred to keep to themselves. Certainly, the thinkers and philosophers of Alpheridies had contact with the Order - but only at arm’s length. Respected colleagues, yes…but not the sort invited over for dinner.

That Seris’ family has been involved with the Jedi Order since for as long as she can remember is, therefore, rather unusual. They never sought the Order out, not directly, in any case. Her mother and father were, and remain, winemakers on a series of pleasant hills on their home world, growing a variety of grapes that thrive under their star’s mostly-invisible light. Generations of her family have tended soil, pruned vines, and become quietly, slowly prosperous, the roots of her family spreading further into the land and, indeed, the Force as well. In fact, when a member of the Order came calling, years before Seris was born, she claimed that her enjoyment of the Vakaan family wines had brought her to Alpheridies rather than the currents of the Force. Later, Seris would wonder about connected those two might have been.

Seris is the youngest of two sisters, separated by only a couple of years, both loved and cherished by their parents but very different from one another. While Keran was as playful and fiercely intelligent as her younger sister, she also seemed to be more traditionally Miraluka. Even as a child, she spent time thinking, watching the Force swirl through the world, quietly wondering. Seris, by comparison, broke her arm by the time she was four, and gave herself a scar she still carries after tumbling down a hill, having found a way past a fence her parents had forbidden her to go through.

At irregular intervals, but always at least once a year, the Jedi woman came to visit Seris’ family. Over time, her parents even invited her to stay for days or weeks, growing closer over glasses of wine or even working in the vineyard. Both sisters would ask the woman about her Order, tell her the tall tales and stories they’d heard, and listen to her in return. They would ask about her life and her travels, and she would ask the girls about the Force and how they perceived the world around them. Whenever she left, the Jedi would seem a little more thoughtful, and between Seris’ parents, they were convinced a day would come when she’d not want to leave. They decided they would let her have Seris’ bedroom when that happened.

When Seris was seven, the Jedi woman came again, but his time even the girls could see how the Force swirled and bent around her, pulled by uncertainty and excitement. A couple of days later, Seris’ parents shooed her out of the room, saying that they had something to talk about between themselves, Keran, and the Jedi woman. Seris didn’t quite know what to make of things - but she also had little trouble entertaining herself. She wondered what might be happening back at the house, but something told her even then that she should go sneak through the window and listen in. Later in life, she would recall that as being possibly the only time she’d ever done that.

Dinner that night was quiet, but not grim. Seris learned that the Jedi woman had come with an offer, that her sister be trained at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. The Jedi woman had, over the years, become increasingly convinced that she would make an excellent addition to the Jedi, and that both could learn much from one another. She said that Seris’ family had deep roots in the Force, that each of them were connected in ways even the Jedi didn’t entirely understand, but wanted to. She said that talent and potential like Keran’s ran in families, and she mentioned how close the two always were.

Seris asked if she could visit on Coruscant, her voice excited, her eyes wide.

The Jedi woman left a few weeks later, Keran and her belongings in tow. As her transport left, she watched Seris tending a vine, her small fingers gently guiding and caressing the stem, following where she knew the plant wanted to grow. Not for the last time, she let out a bemused sigh.

The next years were hard on Seris, her excitement for her sister at odds with suddenly losing a family member, her playmate, and her closest friend. The Order provided Seris’ family with occasional updates on Keran, but for many years the sisters did not see one another. Still, as the years passed, Seris adapted to her new, more solitary place, and threw herself into her own schooling. Despite their distance, Seris worked to, she believed, make her sister as proud of her as Seris was of Keran - but not always with perfect results. She struggled with a complex miasma of emotion that a child is poorly-equipped for, which caused her some trouble at school. Never in her life was Seris more ashamed than when, unannounced, Keran and her teacher came to visit - and Seris had to explain that not only was her black eye from a fight at school, she’d been the one to throw the first punch.

When Seris found out that she’d been accepted to a university on Coruscant, she sat on the dining room floor, letter in hand, and wept with a complex mix of elation, sadness, and wistfulness. She would only be on Alpheridies for one more harvest, only feel her father’s hands or hear her mother’s voice for a short while more, at least for quite a while. She wondered if Keran had felt the same thing when she left. She hadn’t acted like she had at the time. Perhaps that had been a child’s simpler outlook on the world - or, Seris wondered, if her sister hadn’t wanted her to cry.

A season later, Seris stood at the same transport station the Jedi woman had, and that Keran had when they left. Her parents had told her not to worry, that they had more than enough business to hire hands for the harvest and to guide the new growth on old vines. She wondered if the wine would taste the same without her touch. She wondered when she would see home again. But when her father kissed her, and her mother hugged her, and both told her to stay out of trouble, Seris smiled.

Coruscant, at first, had been utterly overwhelming, a riot of minds and wills endlessly churning through the Force. The planet itself blazed and distorted everything around it, a trillion lives touching, connecting, and pulling apart from one another. The University had been in one of the busier parts of the world-city, but with the flexibility of youth and a certain amount of teeth-gritted determination, she got used to the endless stimulation of so many people. She took a certain amount of comfort in that, near the horizon, she could feel the brilliant, soothing power of the Jedi temple, a beacon of calm and order.

Despite both being based on the same world, Seris still saw little of her sister. Keran had begun traveling with a Master some years before, though the two did return on an irregular basis, and those times were more precious to the sisters than any weight of gold. When their lives allowed, the three of them spent as much time as they could together. In Coruscant’s sunsets and glittering evening, they would discuss everything from the taste of water on distant world to, quite often, and usually with the air of a lesson, the nature of the Force, or even Jedi philosophies. Seris found that she appreciated Keran’s Master - an older woman than the Jedi who had taken her from Alpheridies - with her gentle wit, tendency to thoughtfulness, and quiet, iron-hard self-discipline. She even offered to give Seris some advice on meditation and centering oneself, something that Seris found both deeply flattering, and an offer she accepted almost before the Master had finished speaking.

For herself, Seris had endless amounts of work to do at the University. As before, she excelled academically, devouring her classes with a voracious intellect. She had chosen archaeology as her field of study, having been fascinated by ancient legends, dead civilizations, and the long, long history of so many of the galaxy’s peoples and cultures. While Keran distinguished herself as one of the Temple’s Padawans, Seris made her mark at the University - though not exactly as a model student. While clearly brilliant, Seris spent much of her time at first politely discussing, then having increasingly truculent conversations with her instructors and fellow students about many points of conventional wisdom. She could feel how some understanding was incomplete or wrong and constantly sought for the deeper truths, only rarely satisfied with the answers her books and lectures could provide.

Years passed, and Seris both frustrated and elated her teachers by turns, her refusal to be satisfied with easy answers making her few friends. After her 21st birthday, spent with a bottle of her family’s wine, briefly a study partner, and seeing two sunrises before finally going to sleep, she got a wholly different kind of message from her sister than the usual updates on her travel and adventures. Keran had, in the eyes of the Order, completed her training, and would be elevated to the rank of Knight. The sisters reunited for the first time in months soon after, and the two spent long nights talking, laughing, and, Seris suspected, relaxing for the first time in quite a long while. A week later, and Seris saw the Jedi Temple for the first time - though all her persuasion couldn’t convince either Master escorting her that she should be allowed to view Keran’s Knighting Ceremony within the High Council’s chambers. She contented herself with being just outside, and feeling, for the first time, humbled before something truly awesome.

Seris’ trip to the Temple had something of a transformative effect on her. She felt as though something in her soul resonated with the place, like the strings of a musical instrument. The gentle, edgeless certainty, the power and grace that washed out from the High Council’s chambers as the Order accepted her sister as one of their own filled Seris with a sense of quiet belonging, the sort she had only ever felt before at home, in her own bed. Some days later, Keran - and her now-former Master - would suggest Seris look into a field expedition being undertaken by her University and the Jedi Archives, following up on the location of an ancient Master’s writings. The University was only too happy to sign any and every piece of paper it took to get Seris out of the University, away from her teachers, and, in short, to make her someone else’s problem.

[Note: The following can be an area where another character comes into Seris’ story.]

Field work has an entirely different set of skills than working in a classroom. Conditions are never ideal, tools are always missing, and never, never have all of the necessary materials been brought on board. Seris found her patience being tested to its limits within the first few days of setting out on the expedition as she adjusted to another set of rules, constraints, and norms. She learned the basics of piloting, more or less bullying the transport’s captain into teaching her what the dials and buttons did, a skill that would serve her well over the coming decade. From members of the Archives, and field agents from the University, Seris learned to operate heavy equipment, deploy sounding charges, read the wind and follow clues eroded by centuries of weather. In cloying humidity and hot, steaming downpours that did nothing to wash away the heat, Seris performed the heavy, manual tasks that University staff had decided would build a young person’s character.

During those times, setting charges, moving sensor arrays, or hauling generators, Seris became acquainted with the Jedi archaeologist and his own Padawan learner, a young woman a few years Seris’ junior. At first, she and the Padawan mutually griped about working in the sweltering heat, the woman’s Master apparently having quite similar views as her University superiors as to what young people were good for; or, at least, that having them tired and hot might be a good idea. As the weeks passed, however, they began to talk more, their shared background with the Order - Seris’ as an eccentric orbit, the Padawan’s at the core of her life - giving them common ground.

As happened often, the Padawan asked Seris about the way she perceived the Force; she, in turn, asked her about the way the Jedi understood that energy, the structured, rigid, codified manipulation. Se showed her some simple manipulations, the kind Seris had never been able to bring herself to ask her sister about. She saw the way her mind pulled, braided, wove the Force around her, projected her will into the world. Seris marveled at the careful control, how nothing was forced into place. The Padawan’s will didn’t subjugate the energies around her, they worked together, twining together and creating something new from their combined strength. What she saw, she thought was beautiful, and she told the Padawan so. She blushed, and said she heard her Master calling.

After two months of work, the expedition found what they had been looking for. Deep under a centuries-old tree, in a small chamber made by roots and soil, an ancient journal lay nestled on a bed of moss. The pages were weathered, the ink faded, but everything remained perfectly legible. Officially, no one person would be given credit for the journal’s discovery, and within hours the artifact had been carefully packaged and given to the pair of Jedi, who boarded their own transport back to Coruscant and the Jedi Archives. Despite all this, Seris’ fingers were the first to touch it for all those long, long years.

From then to her graduation, Seris spent much of her time on similar expeditions, though few were as successful as that first. Still, the University seemed pleased to offer her credit for them, possibly simply to avoid having her disrupt more lectures - even tenured professors have their limits on troublesome students. At her own graduation ceremony, Seris smiled out at the crowd and the small but conspicuous gap around her family, and the murmurs that she could hear even from the raised stage. Both her parents had come to to Coruscant and beside them, Keran stood out in full Jedi regalia, every crease in her robe carefully pressed, the silvery hilt of her lightsaber winking in the bright sunlight.

Following her graduation, Seris’ association with the Jedi Archives continued, almost out of a sense of inertia. She was well-liked among the younger Archivists and had shown herself to be useful, competent, and her outsider’s perspective had proven valuable on more than one occasion. She spent more and more of her time at the Temple and, in particular, the Archives and, in a way that would likely shock her professors, showed almost perfect respect to the Order and its authority. As the years passed, no-one in the Archives, or the Temple, would claim Seris as part of the Order, they nevertheless treated her like one of their own. By slow degrees, the two came to trust one another, and the Chief Archivist never had to have a conversation with Seris about how she was not to claim a title as Jedi. She was, and would remain an outsider - but a trusted one, one who knew the Jedi’s ways…and maybe a few of the Order’s secrets.

In working with the Archives and spending time at the Temple, spending years among the Younglings, Learners, Knights and Masters, Seris has learned, or been taught, a few small tricks. Once, a Knight at the Archives found her trying to duplicate what she’d seen the Padawan do, pull the Force into a structure of will and thought, just to slide a data pad across a desk. After failing over and over again, each mental exercise subtly different from the one before, Seris had sighed, shook her head, and picked the data pad up, scrolling through entries. The Knight asked Seris what she had been doing, and she explained, more than a little embarrassed, her encounter with a Padawan in that steaming jungle. She laughed, and said there must be a lifetime’s training she didn’t have. The Knight considered, smiled, and proposed a trade. In exchange for a week’s worth of evenings in discussion, contemplation and meditation culminating in the Knight using his own skills with the Force to, briefly, “see” through Seris’ perceptions, the Knight would arrange for Seris to sit in with a class of Younglings, to see if perhaps she might not be as hopeless as she thought.

As for Keran, the Order saw fit to send her on extended missions for the Republic, her skills as a diplomat and negotiator being immensely valuable in a time when political savvy had become every bit as valuable as martial prowess. The sisters, ironically, did see more of one another - but only in brief snatches, a few days at a time. As wars bloomed across the Republic and battles flared where the Jedi were called in more and more, Seris found herself increasingly confined to Coruscant while Keran was sent to fight.

An hour ago, Seris heard a panicked message from Keran, sent from somewhere beyond the Core Worlds. As she listened, she heard the first blaster bolts, the hum of a lightsaber, the screams of children. From her viewpoint above the Temple entrance, she saw a man, a company of white-armored soldiers behind him, and saw them raise their rifles to their shoulder.

She ran into the Archives. Whatever else might happen, some things couldn’t be allowed to burn.

Secrets:

Relations:

Tamar Vakaan - Seris’ father.
Alir Vakaan - Seris’ mother.
Keran Vakaan - Seris’ sister, Jedi Knight

Jedi Padawan Rylos Shimazu

Name: Rylos Shimazu
Age: 21
Species: Human (technically a cyborg)
Appearance: Rylos stands at around 6ft and has an average build. Like most Jedi, he is physically fit and carries with him large muscles that have seen years of training. He is olive skinned with a good complexion and has thick dark hair. His most distinguishing features are his implants that are visible on various parts of his body; the most obvious ones being the ones beneath his eyes on his ears. Were it not for his implants, Rylos would probably be considered moderately handsome. Rylos tends to wear typical Jedi attire; a brown robe over grey clothes.

Force Abilities:
  • Core Abilities - Telekenesis, Mind Control, Force Jump and Force Speed
  • Force Empath – Rylos has a very strong ability to empathise with others through the force. Using this ability he is able to read their emotions, and can almost always tell when someone is lying. As an extension of this, he is also able to reflect his own emotions onto others when they are particularly strong (but he doesn’t really have control over this). Unfortunately, given how strong this ability is, he can occasionally be bombarded with the emotions of others.

Non-Force Abilities:
  • Lightsaber combat – Rylos, like most Jedi, has a good understanding of Form I (Shii-Cho). As was the case with many Jedi of his time, he was more used to coming up against blaster fire than melee weapons (especially when investigating crime syndicates); as a result he was taught Form III (Soresu) by his master. Following his master’s footsteps, he wields a yellow lightsaber.
  • Pain Resistance – Rylos has cybernetic implants that help regulate his chemical and hormonal reactions to reduce pain. These were implanted after his force empathy kept leading him to developing migraines. He can still very much feel pain though, and can be physically injured as easily as any other human. It’s not particularly healthy for him to rely on this, and the implant leaves him vulnerable to electronic attacks.
  • Investigator – As the pupil of a Jedi Investigator, Rylos has spent years taking part in investigations and has learned a great deal. From analysing crime scenes to interviewing witnesses, Rylos is on his way to becoming a top-notch investigator. He has experience combating both crime and hostile political actions (e.g. assassinations).
  • Shuttle Pilot – Having become accustomed to traveling around on the core planets, Rylos is now competent at flying the average commercial shuttle. He has yet to fly anything capable of space flight though.

Personality/Motivation:
Rylos is a very kind and social individual, with a very strong moral compass. He is able to form bonds quickly and often people are quick to trust him. It is his strong sense of empathy that guides him and gives him a strong sense of justice. Because of his use of Force Empathy, he often feels a range of emotions and this separates him from many of his brothers and sisters. Although they are not always his emotions per say, because he often feels things like anger and sadness he could be considered a grey Jedi. Despite all this, he has very good control over his actions; if he acted on every emotion (especially when they weren’t his own), he’d have fallen long ago.

Because he is an Empath, sometimes he can be prone to mood swings and if there’s too much going on he can become confused and pained. He finds it hard to do harm to others because he often feels the pain that he causes them. Those around him should be (but often aren’t) aware that his emotions can also be reflected onto them.

Biography:

Secrets:
Whilst those that know Rylos are probably aware of his ability to use Force Empathy, only a couple of people truly understand the extent of this ability. This is not a secret per say, but rather something that he tries to be discreet about.

Rylos made many contacts in SBI and Republic Intelligence, many of whom talked to him and Leneer without telling their superiors (particularly where the SBI and Isard where concerned).

Relations:
Bastila Leneer – The Jedi Knight and Investigator that took on Rylos as a Padawan. Unlike other Jedi, she did not see Rylos’ high levels of emotion and empathy as a negative thing, knowing that it could make him an effective investigator. The two became very close and had very much a brother/sister type relationship.

Captain Dyne – Rylos has worked with Captain Dyne on multiple occasions, with Dyne often acting as the Republic Intelligence’s liaison to Leneer and Rylos. Following the Battle of Coruscant, Rylos and Leneer were sent to try find Dyne, who had last been seen following the trail of Darth Sidious beneath 500 Republica. Unfortunately they were unable to find any signs of Dyne nor the Sith Lord.

Worror Taldura – Rylos remembers Worror from the Academy, but did not ever have much interaction with him. He remembered how calm and safe he felt in his presence.

T'ish Keth - Rylos has previously worked with T'ish, the two of them once saving the life of Senator Fang Zar. As the two Jedi spend considerable amounts of time of Coruscant they occasionally bump into each other, and if so, will usually share a few kind words.

(But younger looking and without the collar)

Name: Jasma Quillum

Age: 17

Race: Twi'lek

Appearance

A slender, average, blue Twi'lek with black markings and grey eyes, around 5' 4". She wears the normal Jedi garb of a padawan with a blue lightsaber.

Force Abilities

  • Basics-(focus on Telekinesis; uncomfortable with Mind Control
  • Force Healing
  • Force Insight (a rare force ability that allows a person's core personality to be be felt, to fully delve into the ability as of now she needs to focus all her attention to the specific person, though she passively gets hints)

Non-Force Abilities

  • Lightsaber Combat: Is proficient in Forms I-III (Stronger in using the force than in using a lightsaber), is currently learning Form VI from her master
  • Herbal Knowledge
  • Dancing

Personality/Motivation

If Jasma sees innocent people or allies in danger, she'll rush in and help them. She prefers simple situations, where there's a clear goal, a clear enemy, and obvious things for her to do, making her one of the few Jedi who were actually comfortable on the battlefield. She has no patience for diplomatic situations (though she has graduated from having her master stop her from threatening to kill the annoyance to having to be stopped from keeping the person where they were until they agreed through creative means[ex. surrounding the target with furniture then making the furniture immovable, having carpets ready to pounce]), but she would be in absolute horror of herself if she actually did kill someone without cause and does try to suppress that temper. A major motivator there is that she wants to be like the third Barsen'thor of the order, an exceptional Force user during the Galactic War both warrior and diplomat who freed a planet from the Sith Empire practically single-handed and the Sith Emperor's most entrenched spy. She's read the files of that Jedi's exploits so many times that she could recite the whole thing word by word. Probably has a lot of the order's history practically memorized like that as well, from all her looking about for any clues of where holocons of lost Jedi techniques are, especially the shielding one that first made the Barsen'thor famous. Though she also studies up on more common force techniques though but hasn't recieved actual instruction.

Secrets

Jasma became the closest of friends with the boy that helped save her life throughout their years together at the Jedi Temple. But she hides especially from him the love that she developed for him. She read in the Archives how two Jedi who were initiates/padawans in the Temple together could get married and would like to initiate that with him. But she doesn't know how exactly he feels for her and doesn't want to force him into that kind of relationship without his true consent.

She trained herself in her people's traditional dances in secret at the Jedi Temple, mostly because she knew it was probably something they did not want a Jedi initiate to waste their time learning and she was embarrassed to show many of the moves to the other's with the vow of chastity the Jedi had to take and all. But she finds it somewhat increases her lightsaber skill since the fluidity and gracefulness inherit of dancing gives a mindset to help develop her fluidity and gracefulness with a lightsaber.

Relationships

Xai'qui Sel: the boy who helped save her life, they have now grown to be the closest of friends, though at least on one side, something more brews under the surface

Seris: Jasma knows her by sight at least from Jasma's vists to the Archieves to pour over the holocrons there, reading about various Jedi force techniques, hints about where to find long lost techniques, the story of the third Barsen'thor again, and other information she's curious to know, also where she makes sure no one is watching when she starts her dance practices.

Master T'ish: her Jedi Master

(Any connection between other players' characters are welcome.)

Name:Wynn Shaia
Age: 28
Species: Catuman
Appearance:

Wynn stands at 6'5 and often wears the unassuming robes of the Jedi. He wears a traditional warrior ear ring in honor of his ancestors. He has dark ginger colored fur and intimidating green eyes. He wields a blue lightsaber.

Force Abilities:
  • Force Sprint
  • Force Pull/Push
  • Force Wave

Non-Force Abilities:
  • Lightsaber Form IV- Ataru
  • Lightsaber Form VII- Juyo
  • Retractable Claws- In the early days of the Catuman race, when they were still primal and new, the cat race developed claws to hunt for food. This evolutionary trait remains to this day, though few Catuman use it.
  • One with nature- As a Catuman, Wynn is extremely comfortable in the wilds and can adapt to any environment within minutes.
  • Martial Expertise- The Catuman are a race of fighters, born for combat. Wynn is no different and his understanding of the force and Jedi training make him even more dangerous on the battlefield.
  • Outdoorsman- Due to the extended studying of flora and fauna during his Padawan years, Wynn is very knowledgeable of many planet's environments.
  • Skilled Strategist- Over the years of battle, Wynn has revealed himself to be a talented strategist.

Personality/Motivation: Wynn is a quiet and intimidating person. He looks and listens more than he speaks. But he is notoriously intolerant of foolishness and deception. He will listen, but if he finds it pointless or sees it as a form of stalling he will cut it off. That being said, Wynn can be kind and loyal and often volunteers to be in the thick of the worst situations. He does struggle to keep his emotions in check, sometimes quick-tempered or perhaps too passionate about certain subjects, including battle. His species violent nature makes him especially susceptible to the temptations of the dark side. However he is strong willed and many have faith in his willpower against the dark side.

Biography:

Secrets: Catuman Mercenaries: Many assume Wynn is just an orphan, but very few know of his true origins.
Relations:
  • Master Fein Donos- Former Master
  • Master Worror Tuldura- Friend and occasional teacher
  • Master Kit Fisto- Former Commanding Officer
  • Wynn has met many Jedi in his years of traveling and service

Name: Enrik Kylin
Age: 12
Species: Human (Corellian)
Appearance:

(Ignore the lightsaber - Enrik doesn't have one. His physical appearance is, however, exactly as depicted above)

Force Abilities: Enrik has no grasp on any force abilities beyond the basics taught to him as part of his initiate training. He has a firm grasp on telekinesis, force speed and force jump, but is still struggling somewhat with mind control.

Non-Force Abilities:

Lightsaber - Throughout his training so far, Enrik has shown himself to be strong fighter and fast learner when it comes to wielding a lightsaber. Enrik has not yet fully mastered Form I, but is not far off at all. Of course, Enrik has only fought with a low-power training saber so far, and is yet to construct his own lightsaber.

Personality/Motivation: Enrik is child with a gentle heart. He is compassionate and generous, and always does the best he can to keep those around him happy. A humble student of the Force for the last three years, Enrik is honest, patient, attentive and has an insatiable hunger to learn and develop as a Jedi so that he might uphold the Order and protect the galaxy. However, Enrik is somewhat lacking in confidence, and this coupled with his compliance rather than defiance make him a rather unusual Corellian. He is a single-minded and determined individual, but is inexperienced and naive to the world outside of the Temple. Taken into the order from a young age, Enrik's only desire is to serve. To serve the Republic, to serve the Order, and to serve the Force. But first, he must complete his training and succeed in his trials.

Biography: Enrik was born on Corellia in 32 BBY. He was the youngest of three children, based in Coronet City. They made up a normal family; his father was a laborer working for the Coronet Mining Corporation, and his mother worked part-time while the children were at school. Enrik's two older siblings were both in school when Enrik was born, so his mother had to stop working in order to take care of him during the day. The five of them had a happy and simple existence.

Enrik had barely gotten into school when he was discovered to be Force-sensitive. Enrik dreamed like any other boy did that he would grow into a strong and noble Jedi Knight one day, and would devote his life to defending the Force. Despite his mother's desperate pleas for him to stay, Enrik already had his mind set, and he was whisked away from his homeworld to Coruscant, and from the age of six he began his training as an initiate.

When Enrik arrived at the temple he was inducted into the Thranta clan, which at the time consisted of twelve students including Enrik. There, Enrik befriended a five year old Mon Calamari initiate named Ogo Iomhar, who would grow to become Enrik's closest friend. When Enrik turned seven, his training began, under the direct instruction of Master Yoda, who led the Thranta Clan. Young and excitable, Enrik was eager to begin training with a lightsaber and throwing things with the Force, but the actual training regime was not quite as he had expected.

Practical sessions were spread out between numerous classes. The Initiates were taught Political Science, and the histories of all manner of worlds spread out accross the galaxy. They would meditate frequently; sessions that Enrik enjoyed. When he meditated, Enrik could escape everything else, and become more than just Enrik. He was a part of the Force, and felt it as it flowed all around him. Learning the Three Pillars and the Jedi Code were of course integrated into their learning.

When the young Jedi hopefuls began training with a lightsaber at last, Enrik's aptitude was immediately apparent. While not a master, he was able to best the majority of his fellow students. However, his Force studies were not nearly as successful. He lingered near the bottom of the class, struggling to truly open up to the Force and feel it flow through him. While his learning progressed and his fellow initiates grew stronger with the Force, Enrik's development was slow; a key contributing factor as to why he has been in training for five years. Eventually, however, Enrik's determination prevailed and at last his abilities with the Force began to develop.

Ogo succeeded the year past, now padawan to a Jedi Master that Enrik had never heard of before. Enrik still resides as a part of the Thranta clan at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He is still yet to acquire his own lightsaber, but he nears the end of his studies and aims to complete his Trial within the year. At least, that was the plan, before the execution of Order 66 destroyed everything Enrik had ever know, and thrust Enrik's life into a new chapter.

Secrets: Enrik is a mere child, and knows little aside from life as an initiate. He has had no real chance to develop any secrets of note.

Relations: As an initiate, Enrik has no real connections to any knights of the Order. However, he has been instructed by various Jedi Masters, and as a result knows Master Worror Taldura, even if the Ithorian Jedi does not specifically know Enrik. He has however, as a member of the Thranta Clan, been instructed directly by Master Yoda himself.

Name: Lyla Matar
Age: 14
Species: Human (Coruscanti)

Appearance: Brunette, long hair, usually open with a few braids to keep them from getting in the way. Light brown eyes. Long, delicate fingers - her right pinky, annular and part of her hand are robotic (covered in white plasteel). 5'1" tall, scrawny.

Force Abilities: Lyla has a strong connection to the force when it comes to telekinesis. Pushing, pulling and levitation are intuitive to her and she can move small and even larger objects with relative ease. Increase her own speed and assisting her own jumps is something she can manage, with some concentration. But manipulating the minds of others proves difficult.

Beyond that, she has the rare innate ability of Mechu-Deru, giving her a better understanding of technology (see non-force abilities) and perhaps even more, should she find a way to channel and focus it.

Non-Force Abilities:
- Lightsaber Use: While far from hopeless, Lyla is not particularly great with her lightsaber. In theory, she knows all forms as well as she should at her age and has near-perfect scores when it comes to deflecting shots and training with bots, but she loses over 60% of her sparrings with fellow students because she has trouble anticipating their next movement, making a better understanding of mind tricks her foremost requirement if she is to ever improve beyond her current level.

- Technophile: Early on, Lyla exhibited an intuitive understanding for all things technical. Machinery both heavy and light, electronics ranging from simple door circuits to droid cores and even artificial limbs... Lyla has been curious about them all and, though her teachers described her as erratic and inattentive at times, exposes a deep calm and focus when she is working with or on tech.

Personality/Motivation: Lyla is usually quiet, reclusive even. She is friendly and cordial around her few friends but keeps to herself when she is on her own or around people she isn't familiar with. While usually respectful and loyal towards her masters, telling a lie when she thinks she can get away with it is not beyond her - which so far usually resulted in her being found out and lectured about honesty and its importance to achieving balance with the Force. Despite knowing the Jedi Code by heart, like any student her age, practicing it proves difficult and strong emotions can still overwhelm her, especially when she feels like she is being treated unfairly.

Biography: Lyla's biography is the same as that of many children on Coruscant - Living in the slums as part of an abusive family, she was forced to earn her keep from an early age by sifting through the trash, looking for valuable scrap or intact components among the ten-thousands of tons of garbage that the megalopolis let fall through the cracks on a daily basis. Like many others, she one day returned to her home to find it abandoned, her parents gone, walls riddled with blaster fire to send a message to the gamblers, debtors or simply those who wouldn't pay for 'protection'. Lyla never found out which one of these her parents had been; all she knew was that, from age 4 onward, she had been alone.

Alone in the slums meant sleeping in tight sewage pipes, between garbage piles, behind condensators... anywhere where you weren't at risk of being found and killed or taken and sold as a slave. The high politics of the surface didn't reach the bottom of the city's canyons, not even below the Jedi Temple where Lyla was born. From some of her hideouts, she could see the sky, the spires, this symbol that gave her the hope that she would live to see something better than Coruscant's underworld. She dreamed of somebody coming down there and saving her. But as her fifth birthday came and passed, she realized that not even the Jedi ventured that far into the abyss.

So, she began to climb. Whenever she managed to earn enough credits to survive a few days, she ventured to higher levels, inching closer to the surface. Her talent for fixing things proved both invaluable and dangerous the higher she got, as debris became scarce and criminals hid behind smiles. One day, a few months after turning six, she worked on yet another droid for a trader but just as she was done, a fight broke out in the street, blaster shots flew back and forth and the droid exploded, taking two of her fingers with it. To her luck, she was close enough to the surface for Temple guards and a few Jedi to investigate and was found by a knight. As she recovered, her connection to the force was discovered and she was initiated.

Her dream came true but it was not quite as she had hoped it would be: Days of fighting for survival were replaced by monotonous routine, by meditation and training; the family she had hoped to find turned out to be a monastic order, her masters caring but somehow detached, most of her fellow younglings friendly but introspective. The love and care she had been looking for was not directed at her but at all of them. Balance in all things. It made Lyla content but the lack of extremes, the unbreakable equilibrium of the Temple that she couldn't find in herself made her feel like an outsider for the longest time. Thanks to her friends, she managed to integrate herself into the Order over time but she could never quite shake the impression of being a foreign object among the Jedi; a mental image that was reinforced by having two of her fingers replaced with plasteel.

As the years passed, the training revealed her as a strong personality, with both positive and negative implications. Her talent was evident but so was her difficulty to fully grasp the teachings and find inner peace. While others had such a tempered sense for the Force of living things that they could count how many people were in the Temple, Lyla had trouble feeling the presences around her unless she was completely focused. Her own appendage sharpened her senses for what wasn't, strictly speaking, alive. Every machine, every droid, every circuit and flow of electricity was like a tiny ripple on the Force's surface to her, a constant white noise that distracted her when she tried to feel the things the Force was flowing through.

When she turned fourteen, finally, she was told that she would have to face her trials soon. That same day, she overheard two of the masters talk about her, expressing their doubt that she could pass - "Too unpredictable." "No restraint." "Gifted, no doubt, but lacking in..." - Confidence, joy, pride: All vaporized in an instant. However, none of it ended up being of any significance - As night enveloped the temple, the Republic and Order of Jedi descended into a long darkness...

Secrets:
- Lyla has hidden most of her childhood from even her closest friends. While all masters know the circumstances of her initiation, she only talks about her time before the Temple when absolutely necessary - a problem that a few of her teachers presume to be responsible for her lack of development in a few areas.

- Lyla constructed a fully-functional lightsaber over the months leading up to the attack. Though the disappearance of several parts and crystals has not remained unnoticed and she is suspected, it was unknown to her masters that she succeeded and managed to hide the fruits of her labor in her dormitory.

Relations: Being a member of Thranta Clan, Masters like Yoda have occassionally taught and supervised her and she recognizes them, but due to her young age and reclusive nature, there are few members of the Order (and clan) she has exchanged more than a few words with, beyond her two best friends and a few fellow initiates. She knows and trained with Enrik in the past but their relationship is superficial at best.

Name: Aleko Gordan

Age: 35

Species: Human (Naboo)

Appearance: Standing at a solid 185 cm (6'1"), Aleko was blessed with an even boy build as he did not have to sacrifice dexterity over strength or vice-versa.

Force Abilities:

  • Basic force abilities - While he did not combine force abilities into his duels, he had a passable amount of skill within the telekinetic arts of the force.
  • Mind Trick - Aleko had spent enough time planting suggestions into people's minds to become highly successful with avoiding conflicts, helping him to escape from numerous tight situations. Only once did he successfully coerced a mercenary into friendly fire.
  • Tutaminis - Aleko was known to have absorbed blaster projectiles and bursts of electricity into his body with his non-dominant hand and diffuse the energy away completely. He was confident that he could even parry a lightsaber strike with his bare hand, so long the contact wouldn't last for more than one second. After extended use, his entire left arm would go into a painful paresis, rendering it completely useless for a variable amount of time.
  • Calming Aura - His presence within the Force was notable for being a peaceful one. Those who would stand in his proximity would be calmed down and comforted.

Non-Force Abilities:

  • Lightsaber combat - Prominent user of Form V Djem-So subbranch, his main philosophy in lightsaber combat was to take full advantage of every opportunity to break or reach behind an opponent's defenses in order to end the fight. His overall stance in a duel, however, was a defensive one, thus he comfortably resorted to Form III, giving him the chance to observe his opponent's strategies and quirks; once he was confident that he could turn the tide of the fight, he would instantly switch to Form V by surprise. He would punish every tactical mistake of his opponent, whittling them down to the point they would collapse due to exhaustion, he would disarm them, or get away.

In other words, Aleko would wait for his opponent to believe they have the upper hand, while he would observe their movement, ticks and tactics; as soon as he had completed a repertoire of his enemy's combat abilities, he would parry and riposte, deflect and retaliate. One of his preferred tricks was to hold an opponent in a blade lock hard enough so that they would respond with a harder push, only to give in to the pressure and let the opponent stumble so that he could take advantage of the opponent's mistake.

As previously mentioned, Aleko was an avid practitioner of Tutaminis and would he had been force to use this ability often, his left arm would become useless. As such, he was forced to take a crash course in Form II so that he would be able to properly duel until his arm would recover from the shock. While he wasn't a very versed Makashi duelist, he could do enough to survive.
  • Unarmed combat - Although he preferred to keep both of his hands on his lightsaber hilt, he had a knack at integrating kicks and elbow jabs in his combinations to stun and throw enemies off balance.
  • Intuitive tactics - While he did not delve too deep into military strategies, Aleko was able to devise plans in the middle of action, working best while under stress.
  • Expansive mind - Aleko keeps his eyes and ears open to his surroundings and registers everything occurring around him so that he could use the terrain to his advantage and change the dynamics of his plans according to the situation.
  • Basic piloting - He knew how to hold the controls of a ship, how to fly it and how to dock it. Not very proud of his limited skill.
  • Field medic - While he did not cultivate his Force Healing abilities, he found passion in studying first aid and emergency medicine and was able to stabilize most wounds with the proper materials. He was knowledgeable of human, kel dor and twi'lek basic physiology.

Personality/Motivation: Aleko's good nature drove him to become a protector, loyally serving those who were in desperate need of his aid. He wanted to become a good example of the Jedi Order from the very first years of instruction, striving to become a prominent figure within the order. He even dreamed of joining the Jedi Council once he had proven his worth to the Order through his actions. Ever since he found this inner motivation, everything he studied was in favor for those around him and much less for his own personal gain; for the same reason, he preferred to take up a more tame combination of lightsaber dueling forms, which also perfectly matched with his calm presence and his more straightforward way of thinking.

He was a patient, stoic and stubborn human, but even if he had a more stern attitude throughout his later years, he was more than willing to help anyone that had the courage to approach him. He kept his mind open to change and adaptation and followed the rules as best as he could: if he had to break a certain rule in order to accomplish something for himself, he would refuse the thought, but if he was doing it for someone else, he was glad to step over some boundaries to make them happy. Diplomacy would be the very first weapon to pull out from his arsenal in any given situation and would resort to more drastic measures only in situations that demanded him to take action.

Paradoxically, Aleko suffered of loneliness. He found that his peculiar devotion to the force and the order had pushed him away from most of the Jedi practitioners; within this loneliness, he found motivation to learn more about the force, but at the same time, was struck by sadness, a strong emotion that left him cold and every so often make him question his true motivations. But, every time he would land his gaze upon aspiring young students and the unfortunate, he could shake off some of those emotions and continue with his work.

Biography

Secrets: Aleko was plagued by the thought of resorting to murder to end a fight. He did not know how such a dark thought crept up in his mind, but he was very troubled by it; this thought would emerge whenever he would fall in one of his depressive episodes. On other occasions, he would feel frustrated during some combat situations and wanted nothing more but to end the life of those he was fighting against, so that they wouldn't torment the innocent again some other day. The Jedi Code allowed for a life to be taken in very special circumstances, but by his standards, he never found himself in such circumstances. He even refused to eliminate the squad of clone troopers that turned against him, even though their betrayal deeply affected him. He did experience a strange fascination with death and wished to see one day how it feels to take a life away.

He kept his depressive state of the mind to himself and went great lengths to cover his feelings up, as to not trouble those around him. He only wished to spread calmness and generosity and to not leave his own weights on his comrade's minds.
Relations:

  • Plo Koon - Aleko's master and mentor, he respected him greatly and even found a lot of his own traits within him.
  • Tasha Yagbina - Aleko's former twi'lek padawan, was defeated soon after the Jedi Purge was ordered by Darth Sidious.
  • To be completed
