Personality Chiharu is a somewhat shy and awkward girl, who feels as if she totally lacks any kind of ability to help others. Indeed, who would want help from a short, weak girl like her? They're better off with just about anyone else, as far as Chiharu is concerned. There's no point in her even trying. Chiharu has a severe lack of confidence in herself, and believes herself to be someone fully without any kind of inner strength or resolve. And yet, she doesn't want to see people suffer or get hurt. But there isn't anything she thinks she can do about that. She's nervous around new people and easily frightened, and yet Chiharu wants, deep down, in spite of her doubts, to be able to help people. But someone like her, someone as useless as she believes herself to be, couldn't possibly help anyone, could they? Chiharu isn't without friends, and those who are close to her are among the only people she doesn't feel some level of nervousness around. She wants to be more friendly, but struggles to talk to new people.
Background Chiharu is the youngest child of the Yukimura family. She's seen her older siblings, her brother Daisuke and her sister Sumire, excel in sports and academics, but never found anything that she was able to do. She wanted to help people, but failed. She tried to protect a friend from bullying, but simply ended up as a target of bullying herself, her shy nature attacked again and again, causing her to withdraw during elementary school. She was not friendless, but she was harassed almost constantly for attempting to stand up for her friend. This faltered as Chiharu got older, and soon the bullying ceased, but she now held the belief that she had only served to worsen the situation. How could she possibly help anyone after that?
Powers
Card: VIII - |Strength| The Major Arcana |Strength| grants Chiharu a tremendous amount of physical power. Concrete shatters under her fists, rocks break from the impacts of her kicks, and if she lands hard enough she can shatter the ground beneath her. Her durability increases as well, allowing her to take hits with much greater ease then she would in her civilian form. This power is based off of strength itself, which Chiharu believes is strength granted to her by the Major Arcana itself. After all, she has no inner strength, right? It must be granted by the card. The fact that she has such an increase in power does boost her confidence for the duration of her transformation at least. She can help people now, Chiharu feels like she actually has some use. Finally, she can also generate orbs of magical energy that currently seem pretty useless, simply floating near her.
Skills Chiharu isn't very athletic in her civilian form, and doesn't do particularly well academically. She doesn't feel she has any skills of note... unless you talk to her about baking or hotblooded anime characters.
Weapons Chiharu gains a pair of gauntlets, |Jarngreipr|. They are blue and bulky, the wrist guards composed of interlocking plates. These plates open to allow magical energy to erupt out, allowing Chiharu to supercharge her punches or light the gauntlets on "fire" with magical energy.

Name
"Kabeyama Chikage"

"15"
School Year
"Second year"
Height
"152cm"
Weight
"68kg"
Magic Color
"Yellow"
Appearance
"Chikage's most notable features are her eyes and hair: she is a natural red head (Her father share the same hue as she does) though her golden eyes are most notably odd, as no one in her family has every had such traits. Aside from that, Chikage bashfully hides the fact that she has a very muscular and well toned body: she often helps her family's logging business allowing her to work up the muscles, as well as short-lived career as a dancer and her current career in women's wrestling.
When it comes to outfits Chikage is fine simply with her school uniform, but otherwise dresses appropriately for the situation. Often she would wear clothing that are not form fitting, or at least could hide her figure. The only time she wouldn't is when she's working as a wrestler, and that's assuming that no one who knows her sees her. Because she's still a newbie she doesn't have a wrestling uniform, and instead change to a simple body tights."
When transformed Chikage is notably taller (201cm) with grey hair instead of her usual red. Her body is also more mature. Her hair is always short in this form, but changes back to whatever length it was before when she isn't transformed. Her skin is also tanner for some reason. Lastly and perhaps only unique to her, scars Chikage gets in this forms remain in this form, but do not show in her normal form. Additional scars or wounds she would have gotten in her normal form also disappears quickly, but reveal themselves when she's using this one.
Personality
"If Chikage had to describe herself, she would say that she is boring, fairly lazy, and only works when one of the motivations is "Failure". There is some truth in it: Chikage has no greater aspirations in her life and thus has no drive or ambition to do anything. She's fairly easy to please and doesn't require anything exotic or extreme. It's only when her boring and easy life may be compromised would she find the strength within herself to go above and beyond her ability, and only long enough to correct the balance. That being said, Chikage does have some hobbies that makes her "interesting", however even those are just excuses for her to entertain her time.
However deeper down, Chikage does wish for more in her life. Growing up on her brother's mangas and stories, she shares his interest in "Doing good in the world", though she isn't certain she's willing to go to the same lengths as he is. Chikage wants to see herself as some sort of badass hero who can live a normal life regularly, but can also stop trouble when she's around. She also wants to be able to give back to her family, friends, and her community, however she can. She isn't dedicated to the idea of being a hero, but she certainly wouldn't mind having the ability to fulfill the role of one.
Chikage however is also very apathetic and cynical. She hasn't quite given up on the world, but she knows that for all the light in the world, there will always be shadows where evil will grow. At her worse, she'd admit that she thinks that the world is already Hell; everyone simply just tries making a living in it. Chikage's apathy allows her to continue her life and routine without really changing herself, even in the face of "Life-changing" situations. On one hand it allows her to keep her cool in most situations, but on the other hand she isn't in any hurry to try to fix it either."
Background
"Chikage is the youngest child of three, and the only daughter of a family of loggers. They are actually quite a wealthy family, one who owns land around a mountain where they grow and sell lumber. Chikage's father is actually a third-generation Japanese-American, who moved back to Japan to inherit the family business. Thanks to his time in America, Chikage's father has quite a different mindset from the usual natives, which helped shape Chikage's life. For starters, she was instilled with her father's sense of "Equality": That you'll be judged by what you can do, rather than who you are. For her, this meant that even if she was a girl, she was to be treated the same way as her sons were, and expected to compete equally to them. That's not to say that she couldn't exploit this and make her brothers do "Girly" things like chores and cooking.
As far as Chikage's childhood goes, hers was fairly standard beyond a few unique occasions. Despite her strange appearance she was never really picked on by others for her hair or eyes, and she generally got along with most students. She proved both her gentleness by gaining a few crushes, but also her assertiveness for always standing up against bullies and gossips. Chikage was seen as mildly confrontational in her youth, but ultimately it just served to show that she wasn't one who was willing to be stepped on.
But her plain youth also fueled a sense of boredom in Chikage. There was no trauma, no cause, no real issue in her life that would make long-lasting harm to her body or psyche. She was simply... Normal. Because of her relative normalcy, she tries to do things differently to spice up her life. At first it was just reading her brother's mangas, most which belonged to the eldest. She read stories of heroic adventures and using one's unique abilities or skills to change the world. Things that Chikage hoped to do, but never found the confidence or talent to preform herself. Chikage is also going through a slight rebellious phase, culturally that is: Aside from mangas she largely rejects mainstream Japanese music for American music: Rap, Hip-Hop, and various instrumentals from rock and jazz. She wanted to figure out a way to be "Different". She wanted to feel like she really could stick out and be memorable."
Powers
Card: XX - Judgement "Judgement is the culmination of decisions. Once Judgement is made, the only thing left to do is execute it. When Chikage uses the power of Judgement she can "Smite" her foe: She chooses a single target of her Judgement and against that one opponent she gains additional bonuses. Her attacks are more effective and their attacks against her are weaker. When fighting against that foe Chikage's own abilities are also bolstered, allowing her to better execute her Smite against them. Occasionally she may even obtain a new power to use against them, such as flight. However Chikage can only chose one target for her Smite each time she transforms, and cannot change the target or use her smite again until she does another transforms."
Skills
"One of Chikage's most proud skills is her strength: she's been logging since she was eight years old and her body proves it. She uses her strength in wrestling as well: what she lacks in skills she makes up for with sheer raw power. Chikage has a lot of stamina to allow her to work long and work hard, though most of her conditioning is in endurance and strength. She lacks agility and fineness, preferring to simply solve issues by applying as much force as she can.
Chikage is an amateur wrestler, though she does know a few "practical" skills for self-defense in the forms of joint-locks, momentum control, and pins. Chikage also knows how to use her strength effectively: while she's no martial artist she knows how to throw a punch and where it'll be most effective. She also has a decency amount of accuracy at throwing objects, though she's has a certain affinity for rocks.
Outside of physical skills Chikage is also capable of doing a wide array of vocal impressions. As long as she doesn't have to do anything too straining such as singing or shouting, she could emulate other people's voices quite easily. All she needs to do is listen to them talk so she could understand their tone and accents. Chikage is also very skilled at reading quickly, at odd angles, or from a far distance, as well as writing and typing in a flash. She competed in NaNoWriMo and finished a roughly 50,000 worded novel in ten hours, all (messily) hand written. Chikage also has a keen tongue and is able to discern taste and flavors with astute memory if she had them before, though this is a double-edge sword as some food has too much flavor for her taste. Lastly, Chikage is the undisputed master of the prize grabbing machines. Not only will she always get something each time she plays, she has the skills to get things that would be practically impossible to obtain, such as prizes buried underneath other prizes, or more than one prize at a time. Many suspect magic, and Chikage wouldn't disagree."
Weapons
"Chikage neither owns or carries weapons, though she's quite capable of improvising on the fly. She prefers simple and sturdy weapons like rods, staffs, or clubs. If all else fails, she could just punch someone. While she's transformed she gains a bodysuit adorned with spikes for extra damage. Her bodysuit is also rather durable allowing Chikage to use her limbs as bludgeons."
Equipment
"Chikage carries most of her belongings in what she calls her "Bag of Holding", which is basically a laptop bag. It contains most of her school supplies including said laptop. Additionally, if she is wearing long sleeves she also has armbands where she would tuck her cellphone and wallet into (not in the same armband of course). One of her armbands even allows her to use her phone normally while it's tucked in, which she refers to as her "Pipboy"."
Other
"Chikage has two older brothers, one who is 17 and the other who is 20. Her eldest brother left Japan to serve as a volunteer worker somewhere in Africa, while her older brother goes to her school. He's something of a delinquent and does her best to stay out of his way, though he has a somewhat protective possessiveness over her. Chikage's mother and father mainly work at the logging company, with his mother organizing paperwork and administration while her father is a CEO, though he is more than willing to do the hard work himself. Chikage has a black pet cat name Train who often follows her to school."
Reiko acts happy most of the time, but sometimes it's sort of obvious that she has something to hide. It's kind of a sore topic for her because she'd like to be more open, but she's pretty sure people wouldn't believe her if she told them about some of the things in her life.
Background
Her first memory was the Hanged Man. She wasn't quite sure where she was at the time, but she was lost in the Hanged Man. A very early fascination with tarot cards had led her to pick favourites, which were the tower and the empress at the time. But the Hanged Man had always been odd for her. She was no more than 5 at the time so it's not like she understood their meanings.
The Hanged Man stands for martyrdom, self-sacrifice for the sake of wisdom, etc. It meant a lot of things, but essentially it represented pain and suffering. It was typically depicted as a man hung upside down with hands behind his back, obviously he would be in great suffering.
But her card was different. The man was hung and bound, but he didn't look like he was suffering. He didn't look like he was even in strife. It was a rather strange expression in fact, she couldn't figure out what he was feeling, or what he was thinking. The strangest thing about it didn't have much to do with the card though. Sometimes if she was studying it long enough, she would black out for a while, and wake up somewhere else.
It started just before her sister had died. It was her sister who had introduced Reiko to tarot cards, in fact. She had brought them home one day and showed them to her. She didn't actually seem to have a favourite, but she always seemed to linger on the Hanged Man. Reiko had always been curious as to why, but her sister didn't know either. One day she had taken it while her sister was out, to study it more closely.
It was the first time she noticed its expression, and as she looked into its eyes she felt herself get sleepy. The next thing she knew, she was at her sister's funeral. Reiko had no idea what had happened, it had been three days after she blacked out. Her parents wouldn't tell her how her sister died, and most worryingly of all they said she had been with them for the whole three days.
Amongst her sister's possessions, her tarot deck was missing save for the Hanged Man card which was found on her body. Reiko asked for it and it was given to her. After the incident, none of her blackouts went for nearly as long as the first. Only an hour at most. At first she was afraid of the blackouts, but fear came to be replaced with only trepidation as she realized they would never take her anywhere she didn't want to go. And over time the she stopped trying to solve the mystery of her sister's death. Instead, there was only a vague uneasiness left.
Powers
XII - The Hanged Man
When Reiko gazes into her Hanged Man card, her powers activate and she transforms. Her hair darkens, she becomes unconscious and something else takes over. Her eyes remain closed and she looks like she's asleep, but she still moves as if she were awake.
Reiko's unusual iteration of the Hanged Man stands not only for sacrifice, but also reversal and enlightenment; so to that extent, the main role of her power "Whim of the Hanged Man" is to profoundly change the course of a battle through various means. Her abilities are as follows:
Suspension of Disbelief: This ability manifests as something similar to telekinesis. This ability can 'suspend' any object into the sky as long as they are within certain limits. These objects can be just about anything moveable, including enemies and allies. While suspended the object cannot be moved by anyone other than Reiko, but she must focus in order to do so. This ability generally only lasts a few seconds.
Eye of Enlightenment: When activated, Reiko becomes able to 'see' everything within a certain radius. It's more of a three-dimensional awareness than actual sight, she would be able to tell you if someone was calling your phone and who it was, if you were within her radius and even while it was still in your pocket. She can also shift and change the radius to any shape she wants, her only limit is she only has 50 square meters of sight to work with.
Skills
Reiko's academic and sport abilities are relatively average. There's nothing to really complain about and sometimes she actually does well, exactly like a normal person would.
Equipment
Besides the Hanged Man card, she carries common things a student her age would have, plus some headphones if she feels like music.
No one would ever mistake Delia for being shy. She is loud, boisterous and has no concept of personal space. She loves games of all kinds, even willing to play pretend with the kids younger than her. Even though she soon outgrew the simplistic morals she got a lot of her ideals from Kamen Rider that she still keeps up with, enjoying the interesting insights she finds watching them.
Background
Delia had an average upbringing. Sure not everyone’s grandpa was a Bruce Lee fanatic that lives with you, but besides that nothing out of the ordinary. Delia had friends, however they didn’t survive the transition into middle school. Through her first year Delia tried her hand at almost all sport and art clubs at different times throughout the year. Soccer? She tried it, before she found the tennis club, which gave way to the archery club and so on so forth until she at some point was a member of every club.
This has given her a reputation as someone who lacks commitment, but that isn’t really true. She is committed in her own way. Her goal is to better herself and as a testament to that the longest period of time she spent in a club was a tea ceremony one, wanting to train her self-control and patience. Delia still quit, but only because she felt that punishing herself in such a way was no longer helpful.
When it comes to academics she is average since she never tries to find the time to study, instead relying on her long term memory to have taken in all the information. This leaves some major holes in her knowledge where she isn’t completely wrong, but only half right.
Powers
Card: X - Wheel of Fortune Delia’s affinity with The Wheel of Fortune manifests itself in a way similar to a casino. The lights, the colour, the sound and most of all, the money. Nothing encapsulates the fickleness and the cycling nature of Fortune better than these decadent halls. Wheel of Fortune is what creates and powers Delia’s weapon, the Slot Machine Gun.
Skills
Delia doesn’t maintain interest to be exemplary at any one skill, this has made her into a Jack of All Trades. The only thing she has stuck with is the martial arts taught by her grandpa which eventually evolved into her trying to learn Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do with mixed results, her kicks became amazing, but she could never punch all that well.
Weapons
A seemingly cobbled together machine that can alter the power and amount of coins launched by the slot machine wheels on the side, the 777 Jackpot being the most powerful.
Equipment
An astounding about of arcade tokens instead of coins occupy her wallet, other than that she has a phone and a key to her house.
Personality: Quiet and reserved, Mizuki has a habit of blending into the crowd; not that it's intentional, it's just that she never really says or does anything to stand out. Despite being smart, she finds it hard to get motivated, and if you manage to get more than a few words out of her it becomes clear that she's kind of... Bored. Eternally, perpetually bored. Everyday life just doesn't seem to interest her in the slightest, yet she still carries on as best she can whilst wishing there was something more exciting, more interesting, more fantastic. She seems to pick up hobbies on a whim and discard them just as quickly, unable to keep interest in such uninteresting pursuits (although sometimes this is just an excuse to hide the fact that she just wasn't very good at her new hobby). However, once she gets her magical girl powers, the shy, quiet, perpetually unmotivated Mizuki might make a rather startling change...
Background: Average. Ordinary. Boring. That's how she'd describe it, at least. Mizuki's life has been completely without any major incident... And it bores her so very much. Her family were regular, caring, and a bit dull. She does kind of average at school, although if she actually asserted herself maybe she'd do better. She doesn't have many friends, and those she does have aren't really that close. Really, she just finds everyday life to be... Boring, tedious and just plain dull. She'd give anything for a change, really. Anything.
Powers:
Card: The Moon (XVIII) - Representing creativity, imagination and illusion, The Moon arcana allows Mizuki to create objects of hard light. Technically, this is limited solely to her own imagination, but due to going through a creative block lately (as well as not being very physically gifted) she tends to use it for two things: the "wings" that allow her to gently float a few feet off the ground, and lasers. Lots and lots of lasers. She needs to concentrate in order to maintain more complex creations, and if her concentration if broken even a little such constructs will quickly fade and dissapate.
Skills: Mizuki is no athelete; in fact her physical capabilities are actually slightly negligable. She tires out pretty quickly when she exerts herself physically, and can't take a punch. At all. She's pretty good at any subject that requires creativity, however, such as writing, art and music.
Weapons: Mizuki possesses no specific weaponry as her magical girl powers allow her to create any she wishes. Of course, she rarely makes any actual weaponry due to being physically weak.
Equipment: Nothing much more than her clothes, her glasses, her purse and a smartphone, really.
I am currently writing a CS for the Moon. It won't be done for a while since I'm going out, but heads up ^_^
Fine. You'll be the last one that I'll be accepting an app from (other than the rest of the people who posted until now, that is), since I'll probably have to cut down someone and the more I allow to apply, the more I'll have to deny and this always feels bad for me.

KoL you do that and I'll do something and make both of us feel a certain way
Personality Rika is, at first glance, nothing more than a bright, helpful girl that always seems happy to speak with you. She is well-known for her politeness and intelligence, never failing to address someone properly, and always earning high marks in class. Pretty much the embodiment of a pure, good girl. So obviously she has a darker underside, right?
While Rika is not really malicious, and certainly bears no ill will toward anyone, she is quite attached to her public image - it means she has lots of friends, and her parents coddle her for her brilliance, so she would very much like to keep that going. Despite her intelligence, Rika is not above cheating to make sure she maintains her 'place' in a subject's rankings, whether by "accidentally" finding an answer sheet when the teacher's not around, or just sabotaging another's answers when delivering said sheets...
Another aspect one would not expect from this honour student is just how lazy she can be. Despite how brilliant she can be at most subjects, Rika has never really applied herself. Given how successful her parents are, and how easily Rika can grasp most subjects or tasks, she believes with the utmost confidence, that natural talent will let her coast through just about everything. Anything more strenuous can be dealt with when the time comes.
That said, however, her kindness isn't entirely faked. As tiring as it can be to maintain the "sunshine and rainbows" look, she genuinely has no problems socialising with others. If one really wanted to see her with a different expression, all they'[d need to do is find her rather craptastic attempts to drawing pictures and manga. Despite drawing being perhaps her greatest hobby, it's by far her weakest talent, if you can even label it as a talent.
Background Born to wealthy parents, and an only child, Rika has lived her life always getting what she wanted. Unlike most other kids with busy parental figures, it was rare for both to be absent, although they would always send gifts as a form of apology. And, of course, anything she asked for was bought immediately. Of course, Rika was raised to be a nice and loveable girl, and while not exactly a paragon of virtue of purity, Rika hasn't exactly descended into a pit of arrogance and contempt for her peers.
It was Rika's decision to attend a public school, rather than home tutoring. Of course, she never admitted that it was simply because she thought the workload would be easier, but rather stating that she would learn better in a more social environment - and hey, she doesn't exactly hate school, her classmates are all nice enough.
Rika's track record has been rather favourable, obviously. Her earliest school years record isolated little incidents - petty arguments and a near-fight, but other than that, she seems to have matured quickly, avoiding violence and opting for a more diplomatic solution. Academically, she at least average in just about all subjects, with better marks in English and literature, and completely abysmal marks in Art. Physically, she's not too bad, either. Not a powerhouse, not an athlete, but a very comfortable 'at least I can run a bit?'.
Powers Card: Card I - The Magician With the Magician abilities manifested, Rika's combat style is akin to that of a trickster; while her direct offensive capabilities are somewhat lacking, Rika can utilise misdirection and deception, allowing either herself or her allies to finish the opponent off while they're confused. To this end, Rika can conjure giant tophats and mirrors, or create a double of herself (it can't do anything except sort of... stand there), and even make her spells appear much larger and more destructive than they really are.
Skills Rika can pick up a lot of tasks quickly, and understand concepts with relative ease. She's also quite adept at lying, able to spin entirely fabricated tales with a straight face, and pass it off as fact.
Weapons Magician's Wand - The love-hearted staff that forms when her Magician arcana is invoked. This tool is used mainly to amplify her deceptive abilities, and allow Rika to hide her presence if necessary. Without it, even her native Magician abilities are extremely limited in use.
Name: Reika Kuroke Age: 17 School Year: Third Year Arcana Card:Card XV: The Devil Magic Color: Black with red outline.
Powers:
Card XV - The Devil: By successfully parrying or blocking an oncoming attack, Reika can then inflict the same amount of damage or force right back at the enemy almost instantly. However, this ability can only work when defending against physical close-combat attacks, such as sword strikes. If one were to carelessly slash at a defensive Reika, a cut of similar proportion would immediately present itself on the enemy. Unfortunately, this unique power reverts Reika's fighting style to retain more defensive capabilities than offensive ones, forcing her to rely solely on counterattacks and first strikes.
Weapon: Reika's only weapons are her pair of clawed gauntlets and her increased, strength, speed, and stamina as a Magical Girl. One could even say her brutality in battle can be as sharp as a blade for she becomes silently ruthless in combat. She will not hesitate to slay her prey.
Personality: Outside of personal life, Reika is a powerful public figure and maintains that image rightly so in the presence of her peers. As Student President, it’s quite obvious that she possess excellent public speaking skills and an ability to run entire operations to their course. As such, she’s often been called crazy for even accepting the job in the first place due to the role’s many responsibilities and duties.
Though closer inspection would reveal the façade Reika puts on for the people around her. Dig a little deeper, and one would find a girl brimming with apathy for others and has a tendency to wander alone. She’s not depressed and she’s not anti-social, but she does prefer to not be in the center of bustling activity. As Student President, the irony is obvious to see.
Work as Student President and her own real lack of caring have taken away many chances to actively integrate with those among herself, and she will often politely decline gatherings and parties hosted by other members of the Student Council. But if, by chance, she does form a rare bond with another, then she will do all things in her power to keep said bond and never let it severe.
Bio: A girl who became a Magical Girl some time ago. Despite being quite popular at her attending school as the Student Council President, she has kept her identity as a denizen of magic a secret from mostly everyone else. Reika doesn’t usually use her authority as Student President to really do much of anything unfortunately.
The girl is near apathetic to events around her, only stepping in when she’s required to such as disciplinary actions amongst the students. Even so, she’s gathered a following of some kind from within the school, mainly cause of her looks. As such, she’s been labeled as the “Most Attractive Girl in School”. She is also “The School’s Coldest”.
With the cards, can our powers not only be the positive aspect of it, but also the negative aspects?
Also, working on CS!
I would say probably just the positive aspects since the cards themselves become corrupted and turn into monsters that everyone has to fight. Once you've defeated a card's inverse form, it becomes purified and you can then use it.

Ah, I see. I was mostly thinking along the lines of how Temperance was balance, but negatively, excess, which led me to amusing ideas of the calmest person suddenly flipping out.
