Four years ago, I started an Elder Scrolls nations RP. It was all about politics, warfare, diplomacy and the occasional touch of magic. It was a role play where players could change the fate of thousands of imaginary citizens in a whim. We had some fun for a while; but just like most RPs here, it eventually died. Fast forward by two years, I have decided to continue that story. But instead of being burdened with crowns, we took on the role of average folks. There were polarizing decisions made in the NRP, and my intention was (and still is) to keep as much of these canon as possible. Some of you might have chosen the fate of nations, set in motion plots of unimaginable proportions and perhaps even changed the course of history, for better or worse. Is is now time to explore the consequences of these decisions; survive the tides of change and see for yourself this unique realization of Tamriel's future.

Player will take on the roles of second-tier mercenaries. They are not the heroes of legend, but just another drop in a wide ocean. The story started on the final week of Mid Year, 4E 205 (four years since the end of events of Skyrim) and is currently one month in at the final week of sun's Height. As the plot progresses, we will experience the northern provinces of Tamriel; Skyrim, High Rock and Morrowind. Along the way, you will find yourself fighting, learning, exploring and simply trying to make sense of the mechanisms of catastrophe. This is not a tabletop game, hence no formal systems. However, we do have guidelines in place so that every character remain balanced in the overall scheme and conflicts can be resolved reasonably. Although I prefer for everyone to commit, real life can get in the way of things. So, recruitment will be constantly open; even if we reach the maximum amount of IC characters. In which case, new players will be held in queue until a spot opens.

I'm interested. I was recently in a similar Elder Scrolls RP (that seems to have died, sadly). I had a scholar-philosopher concept, a Dunmer diver/librarian who looked down on conventional magic but was also unable to use any proper magic. Might try to salvage that guy if that's alright.

I must say, I am intrigued. Perhaps I try an Imperial bard who has been mistaken for a mercenary and ended up in the conflict. Something like Felix Jaeger or Dandelion.

I'll be interested, in playing as maybe a mage or a warrior. Redguard.

One question though, was the Champion of the Cyrodiil also the listener of the DB and therefore killed, or did something else occur?

I must say, I am intrigued. Perhaps I try an Imperial bard who has been mistaken for a mercenary and ended up in the conflict. Something like Felix Jaeger or Dandelion.

Hey hey, look who's back. The Champion's story was long over. The Oblivion Crisis was more than 200 years ago, so whether or not he/she was the listener is irrelevant to us.

Plausible, I'll have more information on equipment once OOC starts.

Speaking of the OOC, let's wait another day to gather some more interests. Hopefully we'll have a couple more players tomorrow.

Faction armors aren't exactly allowed. If you'll read the writeup above, you'll see our party is a bunch of mercenaries and misfits. A person who owns Dawnguard armor is part of the Dawnguard and wouldn't be with the party. Same for vampire. And why would a person want to wear armor that is a couple thousand years old, like ancient nord?

This got me wondering. If weapons are not necessarily what we find in the games, can the same go for armor? In that case, could the fellow who wanted Dawnguard armor just get a brigandine vest with some leather limb protection and have Dawnguard armor in all but faction affiliation and name?

Also, on that note. Destruction has 3 sub-schools of magic: fire, spark/thunderbolts and frost. Does expert mean that we specialize in one school or all 3?

Yeah. You'd have to justify having it though. You'll see Nordic armor is pretty simple, just plates and mail. You see leather scale and padded cloth on the guards too.

I also wouldn't like if people saw this as a loophole, so no "it looks almost exactly like companion armor but I swear it isn't."

Only 9. Don't worry yourself with sub-schools.

Everyone, remember. The point of this RP is that we aren't any kind of hero. Try not to make you armor, weapons or magical knowledge too extravagant. We're just grunts stuck in the rearguard watching a road.
