| NAME: |Jason Kama
| ALIAS: |Wave Rider
| AGE: |15
| ABILITIES/SKILLS/EQUIPMENT: |All of his powers come from being blessed by the old Hawaiian gods of his people and thus is capable of several incredible abilities.
Amphibious: Jason is able to breath both in and out of water.
Super Swimmer: He can swim up to a top speed of 290 mph.
Dense Skin: Jason's skin is incredibly dense and it allows him to dive down to extremely deep depths. This also grants him the ability withstand automatic weapon fire.
Salt Water Immunity: He is immune to dehydration from Salt Water.
Superhuman Strength: thanks to the magical effects of his body's transformation into an aquatic warrior, Jason has the strength to lift up to ten tons.
Superhuman Jump: he can jump up to 200 feet into the air.
Superhuman eyesight: Jason can see perfectly in water and even when the light is extremely low.
Water Temperature Resistance: he highly resistant to extreme water temperatures especially extremely cold water.
Sea Life Command: Finally Jason has the ability to command all forms of sea life through telepathic commands.
Equipment: He has a magical
spear that can fire off beams of heat both in and out of water, it can also manipulate water. Jason also has a magic
Surfboard that he can use to ride on water at very fast speeds under its own power and it can hover on the ground when he rides it on land. He can telepathically summon it to him when he needs it and his main use of it is to travel on water quicker than he can swim and conserve energy.
| LIMITATIONS AND WEAKNESSES: |Extremely hot and dry environments are very dangerous to him and can dehydrate him much quicker than a normal human if he is not close by water, so a desert is almost like a death trap to him. Jason also requires more water to keep his body hydrated and will feel the effects of dehydration sooner than a normal human. His body is also vulnerable to oils such as petroleum and coming into contact with the substances affects him a way similar to kryptonite with Kryptonians. Finally thanks to the supernatural origin of his powers, silver is also a vulnerability that can cut through his skin and body like any normal person. Also while he is an excellent swimmer he will get tired if he swims too quickly for too long of a time.
| SAMPLE POST: |The water was clear and felt wonderful against his skin as Jason dove down into the deeper depths of the sea. Any normal human would have felt the horrible pain of being under the great pressure of the deep sea levels, but Jason wasn't your normal human boy. He was a boy with the traverse the world's oceans.
The water was not too dark thanks to his ability to see fine in low light and he watched the other sea creatures swim around him playfully. His powers that were granted to him by the gods of his Hawaiian ancestor gave him the gift of commanding sea life and that also made the fish his friends. The deep sea was the place where he felt the most comfortable and unlike the surface the sea sometimes felt calmer.
As he moved through the water his sharp eyes caught the ruins of what looked to be an old sunken ship from a time long since past. He quickly dove towards the ship and upon getting closer he saw that it was some kind of pirate ship since the sails were black with a white skull on it. The wreckage must have sunk almost a few hundred years ago. He swam into the wreckage and looked around the sunken ship.
One of the first things that he encountered was the skeletal remains of the crew all floating about in the in the living quarters of the ship. Everything was full of barnacles and all sorts of sea life growing off of the wood. Eventually he found what he was looking and grabbed the metal latches of a wood chest. With the chest in his left hand Jason headed for the surface and before he could more than two hundred feet closer to the surface.
A sea monster rose up from the dark depths and went into attack him. Jason tried to reach out telepathically to command it to stop, but the creature's mind was strong against his telepathic persuasion. More violent measures seemed to be only options as the beast opened its jaws showing rows upon rows of sharp fangs. Jason dropped the chest and began to with his spear in hand he began to jab at the best with the weapon. He was trying to make it back off, but the beast was stubborn and kept on the attack.
Jason had no choice, but to unleash the power of his spear at the monster and caused the beast to fall dead to the sea floor. Jason paused a moment and felt a bit of sadness come over him, he didn't want the monster to die, but it left him no choice. He still wished that another course of action could have been taken, but that's life he guessed. Jason quickly swam down onto the sea floor and grabbed the treasure chest and began to swim towards the surface of the water.
It took only a few seconds before his head break the surface and his eyes met direct sunlight. Jason quickly swam to the sandy shore with the chest and once out of the water he opened it. Inside were gold coins and jewels. This was one of the best things about having powers such as his, it meant that the treasures of the deep can be his, but he also had to remember that his Hawaiian ancestor's gods had also given him these powers to protect the oceans and his people.
He made sure to do both and his acts of heroics attracted the attention of the aquatic hero Aquaman the king of Atlantis. He thought that it would be best for Jason to attend the Corrigan School for Advanced Learning and Development. Jason didn't like the idea too much, but this would be a chance for him to get to know other superhumans like himself. He just hoped that there weren't any intellectual assholes infesting the school. His parents also thought that it would be a good idea since his powers would grow with time and he needed to learn to control them.
"Somebody! Help!" his thoughts were interrupted by the scream and he turned to see a man waving his hands in distress and from here Jason could see that the man was bleeding and being attacked by a shark. Jason quickly jumped into the water and then swam quickly in the man's direction. As he swam he sent out telepathic commands to the shark to let the man go and the animal did as commanded letting go of the man and swimming. Jason now had to get the man back on shore and get him medical attention or he could bleed out.
Once he made to the man he could that he was barely contentious and was mumbling incoherently as Jason grabbed him to pull him back to shore. He saw the man's damaged surfboard and knew that he must have been surfing when he was attacked. Jason mentally called out to his magical surfboard and the board quickly came to him. He placed the injured man on the board and made the board speed towards the shore. Once back on land Jason quickly called for paramedics and the man was soon taken to the hospital.
"Another life saved, well done Jason" he said to himself and then decided to go and relax for a bit. He sat down on his beach chair and took out a can of soda from his bag and leaned back to enjoy some sun with the warm summer breeze brushing over. He closed his eyes and listened to the beautiful sounds of the beach and the ocean. He was Jason Kama, protector of both Man and the sea, the Hawaiian hero. He would miss these sounds when he went to school where he would only hear the noise of loud students and the school bell.
