@OstarionHow would you calculate the Side Stats? Are they included in the 18 point system or are they scaled on the core stats?
Scaled off of the core stats.
EDIT: I should probably specify that in the post.

@Kimono
Changelog and notes:
-Intolerance will keep her manly Russian voice. For now. Give it a few deaths.
-Lifesteal cape changed to magic resist + CC resistance.
-I mean, Ashifili pretty much has the right of it. If you have a skill that can parry better, why bother slapping points into Evasion? And yes, Perfect Parry is insanely easy to fuck up. It's a damn miracle that Intolerance usually has a 30-50% success rate on it.
-Vodka item changed. Not exactly going to be that useful, just put it in because there was too much of that mass-produced pisswater they call American beer. (disclaimer: American craft beer is the drink of the gods. Too bad Anheuser-Busch basically represents American beer internationally.)
-Stats adjusted to reflect the new system. Everything useless just got dumped hard.
Stats
Stat System:
In Elder Tale, each race has their own set of strengths and weaknesses put into a clever system known as "Stats". Stats are graded from F to S, and a single character is given 18 points to spend in any of the "Core Stats," which influences what your character is good at, or is lacking in. The amount of points put into a stat correlates to a certain grade for that stat. These are the grades:
- S (6 points) - The stats of grand warriors, near superhuman. You can suplex boulders, just because you can. You can run a bit faster than Usain Bolt while on the wall. Your magic can destroy houses with ease(ish). You can heal empty health bars. You can find the rarest of rare drops more frequently. You can dodge a bullet (?).
- A (5 points) - The stats of strong people. You can bench a boulder. You can run as a low-tier Olympiad. Your magic can destroy a wall. You can heal a significant amount. You have great luck! You can dodge a throwing knife.
- B (4 points) - The stats of an specialized person. You can move a couch to a new home by yourself. You can run as fast as a college varsity track member. Your magic can destroy large enemies (RUNDELHOUS CODE). You can pull your weight in healing. You have good luck. You can dodge a wrench.
- C (3 points) - The stats of a normal person. You can help move a fridge. You can run as fast as a high-school track team member. Your magic can destroy medium enemies. You can heal enough so that your tank won't get mad at you. Your have average luck. You can dodge a Frisbee.
- D (2 points) - The stats of a weakling. You carry anything under 15 pounds. You can run slowly. Your magic can damage weak enemies. Your healing is okay, but nobody should rely on it. You have bad luck. You can dodge a pillow.
- E (1 points) - The stats of a NEET. You get tired after lifting 5 pound weights for 3 reps. You can run for 10 seconds before your ankles hurt. Your magic tickles enemies. Your healing is negligible. Your luck is terrible. You can dodge a scarf.
- F (0 points) - What stats? You can't lift anything except for your own clothes. You can't run at all. Your magic does nothing. Your healing damages, for some reason. You were born on Friday the 13th and on that day, you were jettisoned from the womb so quickly, you went under a ladder and broke a mirror while flying over a black cat. You can't dodge anything.
Of course, these stats don't actually mean anything in terms of combat. They're just to give a general idea of where people are at in terms of ability. Strength is how hard you smash a tomato. Agility is how quickly you slice or create a tomato. Intelligence is how well you cast tomato-based magic. Wisdom is healing the smashed and sliced magic. Defense is how much pain when a tomato hits you. Evasion is how often the tomatoes miss. If you want a more specific list of the Core Stats and their effects, look to the hider.Core Stats
Core Stats are the stats where you would distribute your 18 points. Core Stats influence your Side Stats.
- Strength (STR): A stat used by mainly Warrior classes and Weapon-based classes. Strength influences Physical Attack (P-ATK).
- Agility (AGI): The core stat of Agility influences Attack Speed (ATK SPD) and Cast Speed (CAST SPD). It also influences Movement Speed (MOV SPD) slightly.
- Intelligence (INT): Influences Magic Attack (M-ATK).
- Wisdom (WIS): Wisdom is mainly used by the Healer classes, but can also be used by other classes if they have self-heals or something along those lines. Wisdom influences Healing (HEAL).
- Defence (DEF): Influences... Defence. Reduces the amount of damage you take versus an opponent. Defence also increases Block chance (take no damage when hit) if you have a shield equipped, and Parry chance (take 50% damage when hit) if you have a weapon, but no shield.
- Evasion (EVA): Influences your chance to escape an attack that would otherwise hit you.
Side-stats
Side-stats are just that; stats that are on the side. By distributing your points across your Core Stats, you determine how strong or weak their side-stats are.
- Physical Attack (P-ATK): How much damage you cause when using a physical weapon (such as swords, daggers or axes). Whether it's an regular attack or such, versus a skill which does physical damage doesn't really matter.
- Magic Attack (M-ATK): How much damage you cause when using a magical attack (spells from Magic classes are a prime example).
- Attack Speed (ATK SPD): How fast you can attack based on the speed of the weapon equipped.
- Cast Speed (CAST SPD): How quickly you cast spells / skills.
- Healing: How well you heal others and yourself.
These stats will be used for things such as boss damage, dealing damage, taking damage, etc. Of course, numbers will be more based on strategy. Take note that these stats follow your level, so a level 1 could totally have S ATK and S DEF, but that would still be the weaker than a level 90's F ATK and F DEF.

Ivy
Name:
“I’m actually one of those people that value privacy on the internet.” Fair enough
Age:
“Sounding like a broken record isn’t my thing, so I’ll say I’m at least of drinking age in the UK.”
Gender:
”What was that internet acronym again? G.I.R.L.?” lol
Personality:
“So here’s the thing, I’m not one of those assholes that crafts their own personality for things online. Surprising, right? Well, I’ve got nothing much to hide, unless you count the time I didn’t read the EULA and terms of service for this game. Yeah, does anybody read that?
Well funnily enough, I don’t really play this game for an escape or anything like that. I started playing for the social factor, but I guess I’ll talk more about that later. Anyway, this is more of a hobby thing for me, and the different environment makes it fun for me to dick around and do sandbox-y things. Call me a casual, but I really dig the whole housing and property mechanics of this game. Decorating and trading decorations is the true endgame.
That doesn’t mean I don’t like PvE or PvP content though. But Christ, some of the other players are really toxic or uptight about things. It makes me glad I found a pretty decent guild and stuck with it.”

History:
“You probably know what I’m going to say about my past. I will say though, I’m British, and I do plan on going to culinary school. That was pretty on track for me, at least up until now. But we’re not here to talk about my culinary accomplishments, since everything I make tastes like mush or stale cardboard now anyway. Step your game up :P
I’ve been playing since the beginning of secondary school, so basically when I was a little shit. As it happened, my older brother gave me the account he got from launch; that’s why I have such a fancy three-letter name. I don’t really remember much about when I was new; it was probably likely that my character died a lot. Probably to stupid things like mice and low-level, twenty second cast time AOEs. I ended up getting fairly on top of things though, and I’d be at level cap pretty quickly after the release of a new expansion pack.
For the most part, I’ve been in-and-out of various guilds, mostly raiding getups, for various reasons. Sometimes they didn’t click. Occasionally, core members would go inactive and the place would fall apart, or on one occasion, there was a spectacular drama that imploded the guild in one day. But all’s good, I made friends, and all my enemies are banned.
As things were, most of the friends I made ended up creating a guild called BDC, started by an androgynous looking kid named Reisstan. I’ve been rolling with them since, and it’s done pretty well for me.”

Build:
Fast Weapon Attack Specialization.
Like a certain other shield-specializing healing class in a similar MMO, Ivy's specialization focuses on exceptionally high DPS output from the healer. More specifically, she uses a sword as a mainhand, and in a very un-magelike manner, goes stabby on somebody’s face in before they can deal a significant amount of damage to her HP pool. As such, the bulk of her regular healing is done in significant amounts of buffing beforehand, or in between lulls in battle.
Spells/Skills:
Cleanse – Basic healing spell. Solid
Sanitize – Removes a single debuff on a target. Solid
Divine Nullification – A long cast spell that creates an invisible barrier for each party member. It takes half a minute to get done, but provides mitigation for 15% of a person’s health and lasts an hour.
Reflective Mitigation – Creates a powerful barrier around the target that counters a single attack and debuffs the attacker of the target's defense for 7%. Very nice counter spell
Destructive Mitigation – Takes all shields on the caster and fires the conserved energy at a target for the full mitigative potency. Nice
Emergency Recovery – Shields target for 100% of health, and heals for 50%. Instant cast, but has a one day cooldown. I like this alot
Emergency Cast – The next skill or spell only takes one second to perform. Takes an hour to cooldown. And this
Purification Barrier – Simple and dirty 5% damage reduction on a target. I think as a level 90 exorcist, you could buff the percentages up for sure.
Protective Barrier – Damage mitigation up to 5% on a target. Same as Purification Barrier. These stats could actually use a buff. But this spell seems redundant? Is there a difference between damage reduction and damage mitigation? Your call though.
Degeneration – Reduces an enemy target’s attack and defense by 5% over the course of a minute. Again, could use a percentage buff to be honest.
Decisive Exorcism – A slow to cast AOE group heal. Solid
Line Break – The one skill that doesn’t belong to the exorcist skillset. Conveniently enough, it meshes with her sword specialization; it’s a fast jump with a piercing fall. It has a 25% chance of breaking a guard and dealing double damage. Okay, I'm guessing cause of the Fox Tail race skill switch thing that happens. Alright.
Equipment:
<Tabard of the Unforgotten>
“A sleeved cloth coat made for the last of the Alv royalty, this tabard has withstood the test of time through the ages.”
Artifact-class Robes
A piece of level 85 healing gear. It provides a substantial boost to spellspeed, in addition to providing a base 5% damage mitigation to the party with the wearer of this armor. Sounds good!
Weapons:
<Duelist Archel’s Colichemarde>
“An exceptionally light rapier wielded by the Duelist Archel. It is said to have been the fastest blade in all of Eureddo.”
Phantasmal-class Rapier
A level 85 sword that grants a large addition to agility and evasion. It’s very light and seems to have the weight of an aluminum rod. On hit, it has a 33% chance of slowing an enemy's agility or evasion.
<Forged Steel Frying Pan>
“Created using metals meant for broadswords and heavy weapons, this kitchen tool is unnecessarily strong.”
Production-class
Level 70 one-handed weapon that serves nothing more as a gag joke. It does deal damage though. LOL
Inventory:
<Ivy’s House Keys>
“Keys to an adventurer’s house.”
Allows access to your hard-earned abode.

The war has been won. RNG has been removed. Probably a good idea to add numerical values alongside your letter grade for stats though. Makes it easier to calculate and all.
And John Cena's stats are so red mage-y. Min max like crazy.
@Kimono
Roger. Just want to clarify damage mitigation vs damage reduction first. It pretty much breaks down to preventing damage entirely, or reducing damage. They're different mechanics with the same end effect, but with a place for different scenarios. Let's say Bill has 1000hp. If Ivy mitigates for 15%, it would take 1150 damage to kill Bill. If he takes 150 damage, then the shield eats the damage and is destroyed, with him taking no damage in the end. If she instead reduces 1000 damage for 15%, then Bill only takes 850 damage, but he will always take damage unless he has some other mitigation buff on him.
-Buffed both barriers and degeneration up to 10%
-Changed stats to new system
-I added this just before you posted the review, so you may have missed this: Soul's Reserve - Takes all Shields on target and turns them into a heal for the shielded value.
-Added a new inventory item.
I'll also have to find a theme.
Wait, we're doing themes now o.o?
Well, here's Alec's I guess xD
