"This is the Salem Minutemen, multiple attackers have just landed along the coast. Were evacuating the town but their cutting through our defenses and our men like nothing. There in some kind of new power armor, carrying plasma weapons and- Shit there here! Fire, keeping firing, for the Commonwealt-" The transmission ended, then all was silent in the Castle. The message had been on an open channel, all the Commonwealth had heard their cry. The recently named Elder Lyons sat across from the General McCoy, the two leaders surrounded by Ambassadors from the biggest towns. They were the Council of the Free peoples. A recently formed Government that united wastelanders from the Commonwealth to the Capital Wasteland. They had been meeting to discuss the idea of using old systems of Government when the message came though.
The General slowly stood. "We are at war, whoever that was certainly didn't like the idea of them calling for help. I might not know much but I know the stories of the Enclave, advanced power armor, plasma weapons, and killing all who aren't with them? That sounds like the stories your mother told me Elder Lyons." The gray haired General replied, He'd known Sarah Lyons when the Minute Men had first met the BoS. Of course now he had her son, James Lyons the was in his fifties and just as selfless as his mother. "That means they will want only one thing, our complete and total destruction." He finished pulling a pipe from his jacket and lighting it, ignoring his doctors warnings about his health.
Lyons simply nodded. "Yes, however if they have already hit Salem then that's going to be their base of operations. We need better information, soldiers to go investigate." With the mention of soldiers the Ambassadors jumped up screaming and shouting about how each of their towns were vital, how the outlying farms would need help and such. The general drew his pistol and fired into the air.
The bullet wedging itself in the ceiling as he blew smoke from the steaming gun. "I'm assigning three of my men from the Castle. If you don't want more taken from you garrisons then you will each cough up two thousand caps. We will hire the soldiers we need to scout and fight in Salem, the rest of the money will go to arming each of the towns and defenses. Those who do not chip in will have their garrisons removed." He finished putting the gun in it's holster. "Sound fair Lyons?"
The young man nodded looking at the other councilors who all mumbled among themselves. "I can also promise Vertibird Evacuation to those who give another two thousand caps." The Elder spoke softly, gently as if this wasn't him forcing even more money out of their pockets. In truth the towns swam in caps these days, with trade booming and many using the money to purchase luxuries. They all paid, now all that was left was to assembled those brave enough or dumb enough to face the Enclave.

Hello! As you might have read things are rather different in this timeline, taking place sixty years after Fallout four with a few timeline and canon changes. Sarah Lyons lived and served as Elder for many years, the NCR was victorious on the East coast and the Sole Survivor was used to make the Synths as Shaun died. The Institute and Railroad still fight however the are both much quieter as they now fear reprisal from the Brotherhood and Minutemen.
No if you want more detail on all the the things that are going on look here.
Rules:
1. As GM my word is final.
2. No arguing in the OOC, if you have a problem take it to PM.
3. Power armor is rare and you will need training to use it.
4. Avoid power weapons and god modding.
5. Have fun, if you aren't enjoying this then what's the point.
6. It's a wild wasteland, take the crazy with the normal.
7. See rule five again, it's that important.
