Here it is! Might have screwed up some math but it should be fine.

Name:
Orihime Taiyoka

Age:
26

Gender:
Female

Nationality:
Japanese

Alias:
Carnival

Psychological Analysis:
Orihime is calm and collected, or she should be at least. Although her training should have made her calm and cool, her natural hot-headedness and head-strong attitude often counter acts it. Her height and appearance is no measure of her actual self with remarks about it generally leading to bad things. While she does try to remain true to her teachings by holding herself to a high moral standard, she's had better luck at other things. One major thing she lacks is subtly; even though she wears lighter armors, she doesn't carry any form of cloaking device believing that a hiding is a cowardly act and some things can only be solved with a good brawl. It goes without saying that this level of subtly (or lack of) means that its not the best idea to get her rilled up or be around her when she's angry as she's prone to punch things at that stage.

One interesting point that should be mentioned is Orihime's seemingly her lack of confidence in herself as a Ronin, never actually having called herself that. She always thinks that what she does pales in comparison to what her brother Nosu can do and what her father, the famous Ronin Ota, could do. Despite her skill, she still believes her abilities are but a shadow of their's.

Employment Record:
Orihime's family is no stranger to the streets and alleys of the underworld, her father an infamously successful ronin and her mother a prostitute-turned Ronin. And with their grandparents and grand parents bfeore that, nne could say its a family business. In large part, they were affiliated with a Yakuza Clan known as the Saiyotama Syndicate who ran the surface organization of Pixel Dream Entertainment Corp. Although most often working for the Saiyotama, the family was free to pursue other Ronin activities as long as it didn't harm the clan.

From her youth, the daughter of the Taiyoka bloodline was taught exclusively in the ways of the sword. A traditional, if not conservative move on her father's part but it was part of his ideology that the gun takes away from the skill and abilities of a Ronin. As thus, swordsmanship was drilled into the heads of Orihime and her brother for a very long time. However, her brother, Nosu, always managed to one up Orihime's fiery passion in trying to out do him which ultimately culminated into Nosu beating the absolute crap out of her in a fight and racking up his 100th straight win against her and Orihime realizing that she could never beat her brother in a duel, at least in her mind. Even though later on she racked up an impressive number of contracts, kills and even won against her brother in training duels, she never felt like his equal.

Once she was 18, she was let into Neo-Japan proper, no guidance and only her training and a generous gift of 50k credits, given to her by the Saiyotama Syndicate, under her name. A few years later, she'd already cemented herself as a worthy Ronin of the Taiyoka family and the clan even though she still thought of herself unworthy of the title of Ronin. Then, when she was 21, her father had been killed in a fight with another Ronin who shot him six times in the chest. In a fit of rage, Orimhime hunted down this Ronin who went under the handle of Temple. Killing him by stabbing Temple in his sleep, Orihime took his gun as a trophy but would eventually go on to incorporate it into her fighting style.

Now, looking for more work, she decided to join up with a team who promised good pay and offered to help with the itch for fighting Orihime was wanting recently and now has racked up six months with them under her belt.

Enhancements:
  • B-Grade Cyber Legs (x2), 10,000Cr - High grade that move faster than normal legs and boast internal springs that let Orihime jump higher and further which supplements her highly mobile fighting style.
  • C-Grade Auto Filtering Respirator 2,500Cr - An artificial set of lungs that work better than an organic lung.
  • A-Grade Cyber Optic, 10,000Cr - Custom military-grade recital cybereye that has a 20x magnification, night vision, a variety of camera settings and can even mark targets for Orihime. But perhaps what Orihime calls the "limi breaker" is its ability to see the where firearms at aiming at her with the use of a Linear Targeting Matrix (basically a line from the barrel of the gun to where the bullet would land that only she can see). Also resistant to EMP and comes in 20 different colors, now including rainbow and colorblind.

Equipment:
  • B-Grade RK5-S Pistol, 1,000Cr - A slightly modified version of the semi-automatic RK5 pistol used by corp-sec and lower ranking military members, the RK5-S chambers a slightly larger round and fires in three round bursts.
  • Type 40 Energy Blade "Liberation", 5,000Cr - A blade with a jacket of energy around it, cuts better as it doesn't use the force of the blade alone to slice. Orihime calls it Liberation since she thinks it sounds cool.
  • Built in Blades "Circus" (x2), 5,00Cr - Hidden in the heel of Orihime's cyberlegs, these pair of extenable blades are sharp and lightweight, perfect for Orihime's fighting style even when unarmed.
  • Civilian Grade Armor, 250Cr - Basically Orihime's entire wardrobe. She doesn't wear any of the actual armor sets since she tends to think that anything heavier than what she wears will only slow her down.
  • Armored Coat, 2,000Cr - A longcoat made of ballistic and nanofiber weave, its very durable and surprisingly warm. Orihime actually uses the coat as a blanket if the weather permits.
  • Armor Supplements (x3), 3,000Cr - Five custom fit pieces of alloy plating that give Orihime additional protection without sacrificing her speed. She has a pieces for her forearms and chest. These are kept in meticulous order and constantly polished by Orihime.
  • Jetmatic Personal Transport Unit, 10,000Cr - Built into her legs, Orihime's JPTU's are more like jump jets, giving short but powerful bursts of speed that Orihime uses to run, dodge and do acrobatics that are key to her fighting style.
  • Forged IDENT Card, 250Cr - Self explanatory, the card marks Orihime as Ryukyu Matoi.
  • E-Nades (x2), 500Cr - Explosive Neutralizing Anti-Personnel Device. A small cylinder packed with explosives, capable of causing injury or incapacitation to individuals within a 10 yard radius.
  • PharmaCon Medical Gel (x2), 500Cr - PharmaCon multipurpose medical gel. Useful for most injuries, and comes with a painkilling salve. Applied directly to injury or applied into Body Armor-medical ports to be automatically distributed.

@ClocktowerEchos
- That blade would be a good example of a 'Hybrid weapon', which only costs 1,500.

Melee weapons are different from firearms in that price doesn't necessarily mean better quality- with firearms, a more advanced firearm costs more money. This somewhat true for melee weapons- a Steel Katana, hybrid katana, and energy katana are all katanas, and they all have different advantages- a steel katana is cheaper, and will deal more "damage", as energy and hybrid weapons cauterize wounds as they cut through, an energy katana can cut through most armor with relative ease, and is easily concealable due to its only physical component being the handle, but its fairly expensive, a hybrid weapon is a middle area between these factors of price, concealability, cutting power, and "damage" potential.

- Where on her legs are the blades deployed from? Toe? Heel? Knee?

- I admit that I never exactly specified the degree to which different grades of cybertech are compared to human ones at, but both the legs and the lungs provide benefits that befit higher tier enhancements. On the other hand, the eye enhancements could do with a couple more abilities- a linked targeting system perhaps (essentially a laser from the tip of the gun barrel that only she can see), or a very short period of improved perception(the advanced link to her brain means that she could potentially "slow down time" for very short periods at a time)

- The Taiyoka family sound like they could've been part of a Yakuza clan, which would be an interesting take, and wouldn't be out of the ordinary as the Yakuza are one of the biggest employers of Ronin- second to the mega-corps.

- A minor nitpick, but the way you worded "Only 50 thousand credits".. 50k is quite a lot- A Credit has a bit more buying power than a US dollar today.

- 16 is also a bit young to go doing merc-work on your own- and also meaning she'd been a Ronin for 10 years- which is pretty impressive for one so young. The typical lifespan of a Ronin is 20-30 years, due to hazards of the job. Ronin typically die on the job, or live to 'retire' and run services like safehouses, or becoming fixers(ones that find jobs for Ronin)

Overall, good character sheet.

@vietmyke

For the sword, I was thinking of something like a Progressive Knife from NGE but wasn't sure on how balanced it'd be.
As for the Age, I bumped it up a little. The reason she started at 16 is partial due to a "trial by fire" tradition in her family. They are supposed to be good after training for most their lives and if they can't survive on their own as Ronin then they failed the family.
Holy shit that sounds Asian af xd

As for the other stuff, I'll get to you after the edits

EDIT: Some of the edits have been made.

Would my current equipment need more power or less? I'm a little iffy on what would constitute an S-class implant in terms of power, so...

@Leviathan, those Cyber-eyes are probably supposed to be B-Grade right? due to the cost being 5000. No real other notes to give- tech seems fine, personality seems fine. Just waiting on background at this point.

@BytheSpleen, As far as the S-Rank implant goes- you're going to have to have a very good reason for his ability to have such a high quality augment. I'm also going to increase the "recharge" time considerably, at least half an hour between every 30 second burst of processing time, though I'll also allow a passive boost (like x2 processing speed) while the burst is not being used. The rest of it looks to be fine. Also waiting on a background for you.

Look at you, GMing so many RPs at once xD

Colour me interested

EDIT: Considering we already have a few sniper characters, I was thinking of making Evie a more support oriented sapper/drone user kind of character. How much would a combat drone cost? I just kind of combined a regular transport vehicle's cost with an A-grade weapon to account for its weaponry and cameras and stuff.

Name: Karen Chung
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Nationality: Chinese-American
Alias/Handle: Swallowtail

Psychological Analysis:
Karen comes off as a harsh, no-nonsense Ronin, expecting the best from her teammates while on-duty. Results come first. She is perhaps the most likely out of the team to worry over their reputation. In this sort of business, one has to have a sterling image. Karen keeps a close eye on the rest of the team in the field, to better orchestrate the most successful outcome. She radiates authority, carrying herself with a haughty demeanor and steely confidence. She is loathe to display any kind of weakness, or failure to measure up to the rest of her team. On the inside, she is actually very reserved and apprehensive about herself, which is likely what drives her to perform at her peak. Of course, she makes no effort to reveal her softer side to her associates. Despite her reputation, she enjoys a laugh over drinks, and will not shy from an occasional insult in good humor.

Employment Record:
Karen was never an ambitious child. She was not wanting for friends, or hobbies or necessities, but she lacked enthusiasm in most things she did, save for hitting the gym, blogging and shooting guns with her father. Come her 16th birthday, she had no real aspirations to learn to drive. No real concern over jobs at 18. And when she graduated college at 21, she'd put off career-searching and largely kept to herself. With a niche degree and a desperate need for some form of income, she was forced to look into local job postings. The security corporation GSM had an opening, and without much to lose, Karen looked into it.

Following a seven-week-long period of training, Karen was employed by GSM as a full-time security officer. GSM had a strong presence in the States, providing surveillance and protection to client businesses; most of which were arms manufacturers or cybernetic companies. Karen was assigned to a posting at Ceres Aeronautics. Originally a designer and manufacturer of aircraft, Ceres had just taken the leap into the cybernetic market as well, taking licenses from designers to manufacture prosthetic limbs and implants.

Ceres's entering the biotech industry unnerved other local corporations, wary of the growing competition within the market. DynaCorp was especially anxious when Ceres unveiled its latest series of neural developments. DynaCorp was starting to lose a number of prospective clients to the upstart company. It hired a mercenary unit to assault Ceres's manufacturing plant with the intent to deliver the message “stay out of the industry.”

Karen was among the GSM personnel assigned to the facility, who had been caught off-guard by DynaCorp's attack. The mercenaries mounted a sudden, powerful offense and hammered Karen's partners into submission before totaling the plant. Her trips to the gun range with dad had paid off. Although she held out with a grim determination and downed a few of the hired guns, there were too many for her to deal with, and she was forced to hide and wait out the assault.

The incident prompted Ceres Industries to respond by hiring the same mercenaries that had been sent after them with an extremely lucrative contract. Not only did this get DynaCorp out of their hair momentarily, but it gave them a means to retaliate. The mercenaries took a liking to Karen, praising her for her performance during their raid. The leader, a Ronin, convinced Karen to quit her dead-end job at GSM and join his unit, following the expiration of their contract. He sensed potential in the girl, and he felt he owed it to himself and the fallen mercs to make use of it.

Karen was trained extensively by her new crew, molded from humble beginnings into a lethal professional soldier. She was taught the ins and outs of the Ronins' underground society; how to thrive, who to (dis)trust and how to do business. For what seemed like the first time in forever, Karen felt truly alive. By augmenting her body with credits earned from operations, she felt herself becoming stronger. There was a kind of euphoria in it, coupled with the danger, the prestige of being a Ronin. This was finally something she could dedicate herself to.

Karen's team has been involved in many operations since her induction, and has had a moderate turnover rate since. Ronins have come and gone before her eyes, and even her mentor was consigned to meet his end. At the moment, it consists of only a handful of Ronin; some new, some old; each one a finely-honed instrument of their client's will. Karen's hope is to mold the group into the most effective team as possible, aiming to uphold the honor and legacy of its Ronins before her.

Enhancements:
  • A-grade cybernetic optical implants – Karen's eyes feature an advanced HUD, giving her access to thermal, night and infrared vision. They interface with high-grade weapons with the proper software to allow for precision aiming and target acquisition. They also have recording software and 63x zoom. Karen can interface with TVs and monitors to display and record visual data. The eyes' most impressive feature is probably its 'smart vision' – enabling the user a degree of x-ray vision through thin walls and objects with thermographing technology. 10,000Cr
  • B-grade dermal armor – Karen's body has been modified with a composite, microfiber weave, suspended in a dilatant fluid beneath the skin in vital parts of the body. The fluid becomes rigid when struck with kinetic energy. It also protects against fire and electric damage through conductive elements woven into the armor. This enables resistance from EMP attack. 5,000Cr
  • B-grade arm prosthesis – Artificial arms made of myomers, and held together by a polymer and metal frame, interface with high-grade weapons to provide shooters with a rock-steady firing platform, even on the move. They also grant the user considerable strength and reaction time beyond what would normally be possible. 10,000Cr (Left/Right)
  • A-grade thermo-optical camouflage – This system consists of a series of wires that link the brain to a control implant located along the ribcage. The grid is layered beneath the surface of the skin and over prosthesis. When activated, the implant generates a precise electromagnetic field that manipulates the EM radiation in the user's immediate vicinity. The result is a high-quality optical cloak, that bends the light hitting the user. It affects all wavelengths, rendering detection through lasers or infrared and ultraviolet light impossible. Temperature regulatory systems mask the user's thermal signature, making them difficult to spot, if not invisible, through thermal optics. 10,000Cr

Equipment:
  • Combat-grade armor. 5,000Cr
  • Kryton CR12 carbine (A-grade) – The CR12 features a helical magazine across the length of the barrel, much like a P90, and a bullpup action with a forward-facing ejection port. Although the weapon is very light and compact, it retains the barrel length and accuracy of a conventional rifle. It fires a 6.5x39mm armor-piercing round, with up to fifty in each magazine. The weapon has Picatinny rails for mounting various accessories. Karen typically equips it with a silencer, laser aimpoint and holographic sight. As an A-grade firearm, it features a complex suite of recoil-dampening systems, and interfaces with Karen's implants for easy target acquisition and auto-stabilization. 5,000Cr
  • Seburo M-5 (C-grade) – The Seburo M-5 is a simple, 5.45×18mm handgun. It has a concealable 3.5-inch barrel and fires using a rotating breech locking mechanism. It is a common firearm in the hands of security and law enforcement personnel, and is ideal for anyone requiring a light, concealable weapon. Its 5.45×18mm round is capable of penetrating multiple layers of kevlar. Karen's magazines hold twenty rounds in a double stack pattern. 250Cr
  • Standard combat knife. 250Cr
  • 4x E-nades. 1,000Cr
  • Trade tools – Karen carries an array of virus and data-hacking software loaded into portable USB drives, through which she can overload or invade encrypted systems. Useful for causing havoc to security networks or digging up secure data. 1,000Cr
  • 4x PharmaCon Medical Gel. 1,000Cr
  • PharmaCon Emergency Trauma Solution. 1,000Cr
  • Street Chems – Karen doesn't use them herself, but she carries a handful of substances that could be used to... entice locals into owing her favors. 500Cr

@Reaper sure looks good, a .50 cal might be a bit hefty for a flying drone though- depending on how it propels itself or is prepared to handle the recoil.

I can drop it down to a .308 or something. It's not meant to be fired full auto. I was basing it roughly off the WASP from Advanced Warfare. Quadcopter with a .50 cal barrett
