Yay called out to the void. There was no answer. He asked again. This time there were a few moans and coughs. He instantly recognized one voice thought. The swearing of Derek the Sergeant who was supposed to help them up here. Wasn't much use after the bullet hit. There was also the sound of the new girl who was at the helm at the time they were knocked out. "Is everyone alright?" More groans and coughs. He could catch the muttering of the comms officer. He rolled over to his right and grabbed a console. He slowly stood up bending and looked around the room. In the red light of the emergency lights, the bridge looked more grim that it should have. Torn terminal and scratches all across the wall, bodies dismembered and lying in pools of blood. There were some who moved, thought he couldn't catch who they were, apart from the ones he heard. He slowly walked to the Captain's terminal, but he only found a hole where everything was supposed to be. The bullet came right through here. At least the captain didn't suffocate in space. The other terminal in the room all went haywire, some gently blinking, some in pieces. There was one however that was blinking stronger than the others. He looked over to the blinking terminal, where a man was doing something. Suddenly the terminal lit up, and it revealed a robot. Actually the terminal WAS the robot.
- Rebooting sequence activated. Critical Error.
- Oh you piece of crap! Work goddamnit!
The man continued to tinker for some time until he gave up.
- Error. Error. Error. Error....
- Shut up you tin can! - The sound of something hard hitting metal vibrated through he room, echoing like a ghostly rhyme.
- Rebooting complete. MARTYN unit operational.
Jay couldn't help but grim over this funny sight. His face hurt, but he relaxed a bit at least by smiling.
- You just had to ask kindly, see? Are you alright? Is everyone alright? Someone needs help? - He looked around the room once again to see who is injured and is in need of help? - Any medics here?

It wasn't really noticable at the time, but if one was to listen they could hear the quiet vibration of the engines running through the metal plates, which hinted that the manouvering systems were online, trying to set the ship on course.

The pounding in her head grew and ebbed with the creaks and groans of the ship's hull. A shower of sparks drew Layette into consciousness and she blinked several times, holding her head. She took her hand from her head and pushed her glasses back up her face, noting the smear of blood on her hand she checked her head once more. She felt a small gash where her forehad had hit the console moments earlier. It was shallow, not a terrible wound; the risk of a concussion would be more severe.
Gathering her thoughts, she pulled herself to her feet, leaning heavily on the console as she took in her surroundings. The bridge was mostly in ruins. Shattered terminal screens lined the walls and the bodies of the crew who had been on the bridge lay strewn haphazardly like macabre ragdolls. Some of them seemed to be moving slightly and across the room she could see the captain at his terminal calling for a medic.
"CMO Macintyre, sir! I'll attend to the wounded." She called to Yay. "What happened?"
She retrieved her standard issue medkit from her belt, it wasn't much, but if with some dumb luck there was nobody else more badly injured than she was it would suffice.

Derek felt like he had been at a very bad barfight. The kind that ends up with you and your pals getting beaten up and thrown into a dumpster. Derek wished that was what actually happend. However the reallity was a bit more grim to say the least.
He awoke on the cold and hard floor of the brige his head pounding with a horrible
Headache. He could smell the fresh blood spilling of dead or soon to be dead.
His eyes then started to get used to the dimly lit room. And he could see the destruction that had taken place. Consols destroyed or barely operational. Crew members rolling around in there own blood. And Derek could swear he smelled a hint of piss. Some of the crew members where just sitting there staring into nothing. As if there souls had been sucked out. The reallity was that they where in shock.

Derek the slowly started to stand up feeling for any broken bones. Which, to his good luck where none. Thats when he started to itch his. Nose wich seemed to be a Big mistake. It seems that his nose had been broken. He cursed in fruatration as he made his way over to where the captain was normally located. He was saddend to find the remains of where the cap once stood. He then heard the second in command. Who had apparently survived. He asked if there was anyone with medical skill. So Derek responded and and said with a sad smile on his face." In all respect sir. It would be betyer if we just put the worst wounded out of there misery." He hated saying that but it was the sad reality of it.

Sif "Regu" Artii had been having an eventful day. She had been roused from her sleep as the only available MP unit in order to respond to a crewman making threats and waving around a hand grenade in a corridor. Sif had to admit, it had been fun ordering anxious corporals (who were actually above her in rank) to hold back. In that kind of a situation, as an MP, she had the authority to do so. Then again, it came with the disadvantage of one of the corporals getting fussy at her until he was held back by others. Immediately after the situation had been sorted, she had to deal with a second occurrence of two men having a fight in their cabin, and the filling out of a form afterwards of why exactly she had pulled her 9mm on one of the men. Sure, he was holding a metal lamp over his head as a crude weapon, but it still meant paperwork. Not that much, though. After that she finally had time to herself.

Now, however, was the best part of the day. It was always fun to go up to the bridge, but at the same time, it also meant she had to do something there, and do it as professional as possible, since there were people up there that had the authority to just sit her in the airlock and let her fly into the milky void of space. Once there, Sif had spotted the person that she had to detain, and had done so swiftly, as there was a battle on outside and there was no time for dilly-dallying.

That was when it happened.

Just as Sif grabbed onto a railing, she was tugged by great strength to a hole that had formed before it was sealed up, her grip thankfully keeping her in place. The person she was escorting, however, had been taken out entirely. Sif, however, even though she was left there, she was completely deprived of oxygen, and began to pant rapidly, trying to get air into her body. A few tears ran down her face as her chest rose and fell.

Once she had regained oxygen levels, and in return gained a headache, she stands up and wanders around aimlessly, her sidearm drawn, her breathing heavy. After a few more steps, she opens her mouth to call out, however upon speaking the simple word of "I'm", she stumbled and fell forward onto the ground, suffering from minor asphyxiation. "I'm... Okay..." She breathes out, even though she looked worse for wear.

After rebooting Martyn rose to a seated position and ran a self-diagnostic. He'd found very little damaged with himself, he wasn't that close to the actual point of impact and his metal-plated body was decidedly better at stopping the flying pieces of debris and shrapnel than the rest of the human crew. The few repairs he would need could be performed later. While a full report was compiled and stored he called out a summarized status immediately, the full report could be requested by the ship's engineers or officers.

"Unit operational. Minor damage"

With that Martyn stood up, lights activating on his head to help illuminate the bridge. The light swept across the room as Martyn scanned it to find the lifesigns of the remaining crew, Locating several survivors. He began trying to reestablish a connection with the ship's mainframe as he moved to help a pinned crewmember. Once the crewmember was free he left him for the medic to take care of and looked to to see what systems would need repairing and which were beyond repair.

Yay looked around the bridge as everyone started to wake up. He frowned an bent over a console. His face was full of wrinkles from the stress, and confusion. He saw all these man in distress, but he himself was in such a shock, he didn't know what to do. How was he supposed to protect all this people. And not just the ones on the bridge. What about those who were in different parts of the ship when the reactor exploded and everyone was knocked out? What about them? How is he supposed to do anything. He slammed the console in front of him full of anger. To his surprise the terminal crackled to life and displayed an error message. It was such a relief to see a terminal working, but such a shock to see the content.
"Inertia Dampeners OFFLINE. Manual reactivation needed." He cursed the day he got onto the ship and decided to switch the terminal off.
- Medic! I need you to treat everyone who is in a critical condition. But please only attend to those that CAN be saved. - He peeked over to the sergeant who looked like he was bored. - Derek! Please attend to those that can't be helped, and count me the losses. We will bury them later.
He signaled the MARTYN unit to come over to him. The bright light from the lamp shone across the bridge, illuminating it. The dead, and the debris laid in piles all over the place. It was a huge fucking mess. He took a deep breath from the thin air and looked at the robot.
- Can you help me access this terminal? .he pointed at the console that he managed to lit up a second ago. I need all the data we can get from it, on my PDA ASAP. Also don't tell anyone what you found. Now go!
He sighed and went to help medic attend to the wounded whilst the robot did it's job.

Being called up for repairs was a pretty common thing for Aldous, and he never complained, seeing as it was his job. But this time was quite a bit different. In all the times he'd been asked up to the bridge, he'd never slammed his head against a rail and was knocked unconscious. As he came to, he was greeted by darkness on all sides and a sudden sharp pain on his forehead. Aldous struggled to lift himself up, using the rail that knocked him out in the first place to lift himself to his feet. Almost as soon as he was standing upright, he nearly collapsed onto the ground once more.

The mechanic landed on one knee and supported himself on the rail with both hands as he began to cough hysterically. It took quite a bit for the oxygen to actually breach his lungs. Aldous took a moment to wonder if it was worth waking up on a broken spaceship with a ridiculous near-asphyxiation headache. He quickly decided that these thoughts weren't his and he finally stood to his feet in time to hear some of the other crew speaking and waking.

"Mechanic over here!" Aldous called out, awkwardly shuffling around things over to them as he stubbed his toe and accidentally walked into literally anything possible on the way as he uttered every swear he knew in any language.

Arica lay slumped over her console only semiconscious her vision still blurry as she tried to regain her breath. Everything was going in and out of focus though she didn't need to see anything to tell that everything had gone to pot with the smell of electrical fires and charred flesh filling the air. Finally managing to lift her up head up she looked around her sight no longer blurry she saw the sheer and utter devastation that had befallen the bridge. Arica had to slide out of the gap between her chair and console as the chair was wedged in place by debris. The only good thing about this situation was the ship still had some life in her but how much was yet to be determined.
"Helmsman Arica reporting in condition minor injuries medical assistance not required" she sounded off as she checked over her body to find only minor scratches and a bump on her head where she had hit the console when she passed out.

After a few moments of looking she couldn't find a working console that wasn't unoccupied so she decided to comfort and help the injured as best she could. She began checking the pulse of anyone who might still be alive. Some unfortunately on closer inspection had the backs of their head missing or a jagged piece of metal in their backs. However what was truly horrifying were the people who looked like they should be dead but somehow still clung to life. Arica knelt down next to a man who's console had clearly blown up in his face as his eyes were shredded and he had a large piece of his console imbedded in his chest.
"Hello is someone their" the man said weakly.
"Yes don't worry I'm here... the medic will be with you shortly your going to be just fine" she said pausing finding it hard to lie to him as she didn't know how long it would be or if he was going to make it.
"I can't see and my legs I can't feel them... what's wrong with me" he said in a slightly raised voice.
"We won't know until the medic arrives" Arica replied not wanting to tell him about his condition. She signalled the medic to come over pointing down to the injured man not wanting to say anything as it might panic him.

After having slung three broken limbs and sealing five lacerations, Layette jogged over to Arica and the injured man. She stared solemnly at the man for a brief moment, looking him up and down. His eyes and mot of his face was burned and lacerated, reparable, but only in the surgery bay. A large shard of console was jutting from his chest and bleeding profusely. Not in the right position to hit the heart, but might have punctured his lung. A quick inspection of the bloody spittle around his mouth confirmed this. She sighed softly and looked to Arica. Saying nothing, she shook her head before turning her attention back to the man, a young corporal.
"Relax, corporal." She said, calmly and firmly, placing a hand on his shoulder and taking his arm. "I am CMO Mackinyre. Please hold still. I am going to give you an injection."
She removed a needle gun from her medkit and placed it against the soft flesh of his forearm. There was a soft hiss of CO2 and as she removed the needle the corporal slumped in his seat, unconscious.
"I am afraid that is all I can do for him." She said to Arica.

Alistair groaned, slumped over in his chair as life slowly returned. Following on the heels of that was a wince at the throbbing pain in his head which did not make things pleasant, to say the least. And as if that wasn't enough, the room seemed unusually dark once he had opened his eyes, even with the emergency lights to add to the illumination. At least the warning klaxons weren't going off and making things worse.

Shaking his head for a bit, and wincing against the pain that raised, he looked around to see others in motion, the rest of the bridge crew apparently recovering from what had happened as well. He was just glad that he had buckled in, so as to not be thrown across the room by the sudden impact, or something like that. That wasn't the sort of thing he needed for his day, that was for sure.

"Ugh....I'm alright," he called, forgetting to identify just who he actually was. He had more important things on his mind. His attention returned forward to the flickering console in front of him, and he reached forward to try and mess with it, see if he could restore some life to it. He got that far, before the throbbing in his shoulder intensified, preventing him from a full range of motion no matter how much he tried.

So after a pause, he posted an addendum to what he had said. "Actually, something's wron-ahhh, with my arm." A hiss escaped in the process, indicating his current state. "My terminal's broken too." Well then, this was a fine mess wasn't it?

Once recovered, as well as she could, anyway, Sif blinked out dark spots in her vision, and began to make a mental checklist in her head and check it off. The checklist had nothing to do with the current situation, not with anything around her at the time. It was just a simple checklist of things she wanted and had to do for the day. This was her technique for calming herself, and she had used it since the first time she had looked down from the top of her friend's apartment building's penthouse balcony. The insane height of the balcony had made her quite nervous.

Taking a deep breath, Sif climbed to her feet and, upon realizing that no threat was going to pop up and start shooting from some unseen boarding, she returned her sidearm to it's holster. "Private first class Sif Artii, reporting status green!" She calls out, before moving to see who was up. Her first instincts were to move closer to the ship's second in command, wanting to defend him, as it appeared the captain was no longer within the ship. However, when she came to a proper decision, she moved over to CMO Macintyre. "Do you need assistance with the wounded, ma'am?" She asks her, after a quick salute.

Already busy with removing a shard of metal from a private's thigh, Layette didn't bother with the formalities of a salute and simply nodded, gesturing her over.
"Hold her leg down, private." She said, grasping the shard of metal in one hand and a strip of synthskin in the other she waited for Sif to hold the leg in place before she pulled the shard out in a single motion. The woman cried out and Layette pressed the synthskin over the wound, discarding the bloodied metal scrap as the synthskin began to adhere over the wound.
"Thank you, private Artii." Sh said, wasting no time getting to her feet. She paused a moment to take stock of her medical supplies. The initial chaos had used up almost half of them, most people being either only minorly wounded, or beyond the help of a first aid kit. The only thing she was nearly out of was sedative.
"I am going to need to get to the medbay if I am to treat any more severe injuries." She said.

Derek nodded and turned around to get a good view of the mess that was the brige. He could see a few dead bodies there heads caved in like it was paper. They where the lucky one's. He then spotted the first of the unlucky one's. He saw a man his guts all over the floor. He looked pale and Derek knew he would't live long. He walked over to the poor sob and grabbed his gun. Luckily for him he was unconscious so his last seconds would not be that of fear. He aimed at the mans head and pulled the trigger. The gun sound echoed through the brige and someone started to scream.
Derek sighed knowing that everyone would panic if he kept up like this." Alright everyone listen up. If i see someone who is not save able i will shoot a bullet through his skull. Now you might be thinking that that's inhuman but i'm not gonna let these poor man suffer." He then started to walk around looking for some sorry sod who he had to put down.

As the shot rang out, Layette's attention focused squarely on him, brow furrowed. She stormed up to him and grabbed his arm firmly, staring him down.
"Stay your weapon! What the hell do you think you're doing, sergent Hogan?" She barked.

"Yes, ma'am. Pleasure to be of-" Instincts cut in as soon as Sif heard the shot, her hand darting for her gun before whipping it up, safety off, pointed straight in the direction of Sergeant Hogan. However, she noted that miss Layette managed to get to him first. This didn't stop her lowering her gun, though. In fact, it made her more protective, her aim always wavering to any point of Derek that wasn't shielded by the Lieutenant-commander. "Sergeant Hogan, you are breaking section eleven part thirty-one of the SNMRG (space navy military regulations agreement) by firing your weapon intentionally or unintentionally at an injured member of the space navy. I therefore order you to put down your weapon," Sif demands, her aim no longer wavering, sighted straight at his chest.

Yay wondered what God saw fit in giving them this fortune. Was it for teaching an important lesson? To forge relations for life? Or the almighty one was so bored, he couldn't think of anything else, and amused itself with their suffering? Nonetheless the bridge was in a terrible state. He felt really sad for the medic as he took in all the details of the situation. One medic to dozens of wounded. His muscles tightened and relaxed as Derek shot the poor soul. At least they won't suffer any longer.

But not everyone appreciated this effort. Both the MP and the medic stopped him. What a fucking commktion. This was exactly his problem with soft people. When someone makes a hard decision their will falters, but they themselves are too weak to make sacrifices. Even if that means killing other people. He slowly walked over to them and pressed down the MP's gun. "At ease! No need to shed more blood! Derek is doing the best of his abilities to help the others. If you would have your gut outside of your body, wouldn't you appreciate a bullet to the head? I dont care about military rule now, we should act humane, not civilized. As far as I see things have gone shit, so lower your weapon goddamnit!" His eyes were fierce and he gazed right into the woman's eyes. Which was no small feat with the height difference between them.

Layette stepped back from Derek, releasing his arm. She looked toward Yay and hesitated a moment before addressing him.
"With all due respect, commander Yay, as Chief Medical Officer aboard this vessel the wounded are under my direct care. I have already sedated many of those who cannot be saved. There is nothing else that can be done for them without intensive surgery but I have already ensured that they will die painlessly. This kind of brutish execution is unnecessary."

Derek was about to give mercy to another wounded when someone grabbed his arm.
Supprised he looked into the eyes of none other than docter Layette. Who for some reason did not realise the situation they where in. Before he could say something
Sif aimed a gun at him and told him to stand down. And before he could respond to that the now newly promoted to captain mr Yay aimed his gun at Sif. Not even two minuets in and they where already trying to kill eachother. Atleast Layette got the idea as she released him stating that she was in charge of the wounded. Aplogies miss but this wasn't execution. Killed that man out of mercy nothing more nothing less. He then looked at Sif and said. Honey could you please lower the gun?"

Yay couldn't stand being adressed by his name. Not even his friends called him Yay. He hated when people called him like that. Especially arrogant people. He pushed the MP's arm away and turned to the medic.

"Doc I understand you want to save them all. But you cannot! You should use the sedative meds on those who can be saved, and let us use bullets on those who cannot be! This is a warship not an ambulance, so I am sure we have plenty more bullets than medical supplies. If we waste all the meds who knows when will we get new ones. If we waste bullets, there is probably one right around the corner!" He was enraged, and he probably sounded like a ferocious beast. But he didnt care. Intimidation is the best way to end a battle before it even starts. "Doctor there is a guy in pain just across the room. Will you let him live in vain just cause you wasted all the sedatives on those who will die anyways? Can't you see the bigger picture?

"I am doing the same thing with sedative that you're doing with ammunition, sir." Layette said, her usual poe faced expression giving way to a slight snarl. "If these men are going to die, they deserve to dies peacefully sedated, not terrified with a gun to their heads." She turned on her heel and crossed the room to the aforementioned injured man, tending to his injuries.
