Yay called out to the void. There was no answer. He asked again. This time there were a few moans and coughs. He instantly recognized one voice thought. The swearing of Derek the Sergeant who was supposed to help them up here. Wasn't much use after the bullet hit. There was also the sound of the new girl who was at the helm at the time they were knocked out. "Is everyone alright?" More groans and coughs. He could catch the muttering of the comms officer. He rolled over to his right and grabbed a console. He slowly stood up bending and looked around the room. In the red light of the emergency lights, the bridge looked more grim that it should have. Torn terminal and scratches all across the wall, bodies dismembered and lying in pools of blood. There were some who moved, thought he couldn't catch who they were, apart from the ones he heard. He slowly walked to the Captain's terminal, but he only found a hole where everything was supposed to be. The bullet came right through here. At least the captain didn't suffocate in space. The other terminal in the room all went haywire, some gently blinking, some in pieces. There was one however that was blinking stronger than the others. He looked over to the blinking terminal, where a man was doing something. Suddenly the terminal lit up, and it revealed a robot. Actually the terminal WAS the robot.
- Rebooting sequence activated. Critical Error.
- Oh you piece of crap! Work goddamnit!
The man continued to tinker for some time until he gave up.
- Error. Error. Error. Error....
- Shut up you tin can! - The sound of something hard hitting metal vibrated through he room, echoing like a ghostly rhyme.
- Rebooting complete. MARTYN unit operational.
Jay couldn't help but grim over this funny sight. His face hurt, but he relaxed a bit at least by smiling.
- You just had to ask kindly, see? Are you alright? Is everyone alright? Someone needs help? - He looked around the room once again to see who is injured and is in need of help? - Any medics here?
It wasn't really noticable at the time, but if one was to listen they could hear the quiet vibration of the engines running through the metal plates, which hinted that the manouvering systems were online, trying to set the ship on course.
