Legion
It was just business as usual for the Golden Guardians in the city of Infinitum. Though perhaps this occasion was more unique due to the slight adjustment to the guard patrols: Quite a few where allowed to take the day off to celebrate the festival. A few were kept, and would be accommodated for their overtime, though even if they were few in numbers the city was still well protected. Because replacing the guardsmen who were allowed to take the day off were the Golden Guardian themselves. Normally there were ten in the city if Infinitum, working in pairs to ensure the law and order. But just for today there were twenty, allowing them to patrol a larger area to ensure that these feast goes undisturbed.
These angelic warriors walked the streets, flew through the skies, and always dealt with whatever troubles they could pick up. Their very presence was both unnerving and appreciated: everyone knew that the golden guardians would not hesitate to cut down a criminal once they draw their blades, but at the same time would protect and help them at a request. Being one of the more publicly available guardians gave the Legion a bit of a better reputation than some of the other guardians, though their aloof professionalism still kept the citizens at a distance.
Two Guardians were walking on foot through a particularly dangerous neighborhood (By citizen's standards). They were quite aware that most citizens would be out in the city enjoying the day, rather than staying here where thugs and vagabonds would congregate. But there was a reason the Guardians were here. The two headed straight towards an old building, with crumbling stonework and a moldy thatched roof. The guardians simply opened the door as the building was suppose to be vacant. But it was not. Inside were a surprised gang of men, who drew their weapons. But the fear in their eyes were apparent when they realized who had found them.
"Lower your weapons." One of the guardians commanded. The men dutifully did as told, slowly dropping their assortment of blades and bludgeons on the floor. The other guardian reached behind him and took out a set of scrolls. "Fear not. We know that you are part of an organization known as 'Keeners Crew'. You have been involved in unlawful vigilantism and extortion of the Infinitum citizens." Which wasn't wrong persay, but there was more to Keener's Crew than the Guardians would let on. They were a gang, sure, but they did their best to protect their neighborhood, and their "Extortion" was just them getting paid by their neighbors to provide protection they otherwise couldn't get. Not that anyone would speak up: if it were anyone else but the Golden Guardians themselves they would have had a fight.
"In light of your actions, we of the Legion have decided to extend an offer to Keener's Crew. You will cease your operations in this location and come with us to Midgar and undergo training as official guardsmen. You may refuse, but you must cease your operations regardless. If you do not comply this will result in an immediate responds." The leader of Keener's Crew was not even present, though that was intentional on the Golden Guardian's part. Where the leader could have potentially devised some way to weasel out of this deal, his underlings did not have such cunning. They were being forced to make a decision for their gang without their leader.
Ultimately they took the deal. Keener's Crew weren't bad guys and they did want to protect their neighborhood from the less savory influences, but many feared what would happen if they were gone for too long. While they weren't the only ones trying to protect their homes, without them maintaining a hold over their territory who knows who make take over. But that wasn't the Golden Guardian's concerns. Their job, or at least this one, was to disband the Keener Crew from taking the law into their own hands.
Meanwhile another two Golden Guardians were in a much more populated area where festival goers were eating, playing, and drinking in merriment. There were too many people for the guardians to walk by foot, and so they flew. Their golden halos on their shoulders and back glowed with a incandescent light, allowing them to shine even among the flashes of fireworks. No one seemed too perturbed by their presence, at least the ones who are being law-abiding citizens. These guardians did not have much to worry about aside from drunkards, though they dealt with them cordially. They knew their inebriation made them make bad decisions, from bothering the Golden Guardians with offerings of booze to mouthing off at them. The worse the guardians would do back to them was use their magic to "Heal" them of their alcohol-induced poison, forcefully sobering up any drunkard fool enough to bother them.
A child began to cry as he was lost among the crowd. He called out for his brother, but his voice was drowned out in the sea of people. When he thought all hope was lost, one of the guardians flew down to the boy. "Let's go find your family, okay?" The guardian gave the boy a smile, which at least made the child stop crying. Carefully putting the boy on the guardian's shoulders, he flew up into the air. This brought the boy great joy seeing everything from such a high vantage point, but also made him squeeze the guardian's head tightly, to prevent himself from falling. The guardian stayed in the general area looking for the young boy's brother. Soon he was found when one of the guardians were approached by a young man looking for his brother. The guardians reunited the two, and after receiving their thanks, went about their business.
Another pair of Golden Guardians stopped by a nearby guard outpost. It was fortunately not particularly busy, though this may change as the night goes on. One of the guardians carried a fairly heavy bag of tributes and offerings given to them by various citizens of the Infinitum. It was mostly snacks and drinks, with the occasional engraved cup or plate. The Guardians had no desire to partake, and instead chose to pass the gifts off to the nearest guard outpost. They approached from the air and noticed a lone, spear wielding guardsmen. They flew down towards him, staying a few feet above him. "Greetings guardsman. Are there others with you?"

Syn Kor
Enjoying the festival like any other citizen of the Infinitum was Syn Kor, the strange orcish woman who also doubled as a teacher during her off times. Food, drink, company, all these things she enjoyed. At least until a little bird came along and passed along a message. She signed, finishing off her spiced wine before paying her tab. "Back to work..." Syn left the tavern she was in and headed towards the execution grounds.
Syn's task was simple: get the prisoners out of there. Most of aligned with the Librarian, thus they took priority over everyone else. Additionally, if Syn could stir up trouble while they were at it, all the better. But Syn needed to be fast and her destruction rampant: she knew there were more Golden Guardians then usual, and they'll be quick to respond. Not only that but the operation was being overseen by the Bloody Mary (Eleonor) herself, if Syn's sources are correct, which would leave her very little room to try anything heroic. Fortunately for her, Syn won't be risking her neck.
Once she found a fairly secluded area, Syn took out the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum. She summoned forth five demons and Eligos. Eligos bowed his head to his master while the other imps just stood their scratching themselves. "Alright here's the plan. You five, I want you to head to this location with torches, and light the place up." Taking out a map Syn showed the imps where they needed to go: various towers around the city where the fireworks were being shot out of. Each tower had enough to last the night... Or make a really big explosion all at once. "No killing. Or at least try not to, but more importantly I want you to light up all the string there, get out, and move to the next one. Once you're done go to here." Syn then pointed towards the execution grounds. Next she turned towards Eligos. "Eligos, you're with me. We're going to head to the execution grounds first and get ready to disrupt things there. I want the imps to already be blowing things up to divide the forces, while you and me free the prisoners. Your task is to defend me, because they'll be many powerful warriors there."
Once Syn made sure everyone understood their mission, she took out a scroll. But this wasn't any normal scroll: It was an experimental Tome Page she created. This scroll, though only once use, would allow her to use the ability of a different scroll. This one in particular was a glamour: It would disguise her as someone other than herself, though as an extra precaution she still put on a disguise if/when her glamour breaks, considering the experimental nature of her scroll. Regardless she was ready as she'd ever be, so Syn and her demons separated and moved towards the specific destinations.
