Mina

As the two continued to speak, Mina was the one that felt left out. But she was used to it though. Thankfully they replied back to her as the korean girl smiled at Henry, "Thank you guys... and sorry for the bother." said Mina in a low shy tone of voice as she bit her bottom lips softly, before walking away from the others and heading inside the school. Good thing that she was early, now Mina could go to the classroom in time and get some work done before classes truly begin. At times she wishes to have friends in the school, but there's always that student that is alone and people make fun of em, right? That student was Mina, but she didn't care. Soon enough, Mina would make friends... hopefully.

As Mina walked inside the school, she made her way towards the girls bathroom, going up to the mirror to fix up her hair. It looked messy because of how rushed she was but it didn't matter! As long as she doesn't have to do it all over again, and needing to buy a new clock, everything will be fine! Mina got out of the bathroom, walking towards the nearest weater fountain, taking a sip from it.

She was wearing a high waisted skirt, long sleeved shirt and her heels. Typical fashion for the girly girl like herself!

Henry

"Hey, wait I-" He called out but she was already gone and he was left alone once again. He pursed his lips for a moment, whining when another girl walked by and spoke to him.

"Hey Henry." She called out, waving back at him as she continued walking. He grinned and followed her in, making small conversation. The two walked down the hall. The girl, he'd just learned her name was Felicia, for the second time, was a blonde haired beauty and from what he could tell was on the cheerleading team. Henry grinned as he walked with her, straightening his button up shirt under his black vest. The baby blue shirt and black skinny jeans really made his orange/red hair pop out rather nicely.

He said goodbye to Felicia when he noticed Mina drinking from the water fountain. After all, he still had a misunderstanding to clear up. He bit his bottom lip before sliding in next to Mina, leaning against the wall coolly. "Come here often, little miss?" He asked her in a playful tone. "I myself find that the watering hole is the best place to meet pretty ladies." He continued, grinning as he looked over at her.

"Anyway, jokes aside. I wanted to make sure I cleared up any misunderstanding you had. You, as you will never be, were not a bother to me at all. If anything, I'll be the one to annoy the crap out of you, little miss." He explained, winking at her.

Maggie

"Yeah, but I'm comfortable admitting I'm weird." She replied, chuckling at the poke. She looked around when Audrey mentioned the lack of people and nodded. "Yeah, but I dunno. I'm feelin' lazy right now. If you want to head out and meet people, we can. But I'd prefer stay here and relax before class starts, you know? But again, I'll do whatever you want to do, chickie."

He may have looked like the typical bad-boy, fitting the stereotype down to a T with his tattoos and MMA physique, but Liz could tell underneath all his "armor", Kyle was more, a young man trying to better himself and everything around him, which was more than she could say about herself. "Ditto." She replied giving a slight nod, still no eye contact between the two. "It was just a bad week. I needed to medicate, you know...drop off the face of the earth for a while." She sighed, insecurely rubbing her shoulder and letting her hand drop to her side. "But...what were you doing there...if you're okay with me asking?" Why was Kyle there? He didn't seem to be the type to take drugs, nor to go looking for trouble. No...if anything it seemed...the trouble always came to him.

As Mina was about to head to her classroom, she accidentally bumped into Henry, thus causing a bit of startle towards Mina. She placed a hand over her chest, breathing heavily before calming down as she smiled at Henry. He was sweet and very cute but he usually does this with everygirl he sees, always flirting. Typical guy, right? Mina ran her fingers through her hair, speaking softly. "What? Oh. That's good... and uhhh thank you... aisssh.~ I have never been called pretty before! U-Unless you meant as in other pretty ladies..?"

Even-though he flirted with half of the girls in school,it still made her blush though!

Kyle

For a moment he was perfectly quiet and still, as if contemplating the potential outcomes. Then, almost abruptly, he raised the can of coke to his lips and chugged what was left. Looking down, eyes glaceed over, he crushed the can between his large hands then tossed it into a nearby garbage can. "I had been over at Andy's that night. Sometimes I cover security shifts there. I was walking back to my motorcycle when I saw you two." He explained. Slowly he ran his hand over his head, his stubbly hair brushing against his palm. "I suppose it was just luck that I was there." He added and then glanced briefly at Liz.

Audrey

As she softly drummed her hands against the desk she looked around. "I don't know. There's probably not a lot of point in going anywhere, we'd just have to rush back." She rambled out and then huffed. "We could always go to the bathroom and tease the cheerleaders for wearing eight layers of makeup." She joked. That couldn't be further from the type of person Audrey was though. She would never seek someone out just to put them down. If you really poked her buttons she might out lash with some none to kind words but she wouldn't ever start it. "Eh, not worth it to agitate the queen bees. They would make our lives a living hell." She added in hopes that Maggie wouldn't take her up on the idea.

His reaction had perturbed Elizabeth a tad, thinking either she had inadvertently hurt him or pissed him off in some way, but after a brief silence, he spoke.

Luck...? Maybe...or maybe it was something else. Who would've thought Billy Princeton would snap and pull a gun on her? Who would've thought that very moment, while she was pleading the psycho not to shoot her, Kyle would be there to rush in, knock the gun away, then proceed to beat the fucking prick senseless? It did feel like something else....but luck? No...perhaps fate... One thing's for sure. If Kyle didn't save her....she wouldn't be standing there. She'd be dead, just a lowly, disheveled corpse lying in that cold, filthy alleyway on the rough side of town with a bullet in her head. Then again...who would've missed her? "Yeah...lucky me I guess." She mumbled under her breath with a short glimmer of her eyes towards him. "I mean if you hadn't been there, who knows what the hell would've happened, right? Anyways...don't worry. I won't tell anyone you were at Andy's, just as long as you don't...you know...tell anyone I was trying to score weed from Billy Princeton."

Classes were about to start. She should get going, but...nah...if anything she would just end up doing her usual, skipping them just to waste the day away, pissing off her foster parents...well...mainly Rob. Maybe she should just stay here and chat with Kyle a bit more.

Henry

A soft chuckle escaped his lips at her response. He watched with interest as she pulled her fingers through her hair and spoke to him.

"What? Oh. That's good... and uhhh thank you... aisssh.~ I have never been called pretty before! U-Unless you meant as in other pretty ladies..?"

He chuckled once more, a bit more heartily, at the 'aish' she added to her sentence. He hadn't heard someone talk like that since he went on vacation like 5 years ago. "People are blind if you've never been called pretty before. Either that or too lazy/shy/jealous to express it to you. And no, you're right in thinking I was referring to you. Though the world is full of pretty ladies." He explained, grinning at her.

"So, are you from Korea? I noticed the small 'aish' you added. Haven't heard that sort of dialect in a long time." He explained some more, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "I'm.. ahh... I'm not a very good Korean. I'm from South Korea but was orphaned at a young age. My parents are American now and I've spent my life here except for the few vacations I've taken to South Korea with them. I still don't really understand the language." He added and rubbed his neck some more.

"Maybe you could... teach me?" He asked, biting his lip playfully.

Maggie

"Yeah... You're probably right." Maggie started, sighing. She chuckled at Audrey's suggestion. "You know, I honestly feel badly for them. They feel the need to put on, as you put it eight layers of make-up to feel better about themselves. I myself don't really like make-up much. I only wear it around my grandmother and that's because she's such a stickler for it." She rambled. "But yeah, living hell." She added quickly.

"I know this is really weird and sudden so feel free to ignore the question but... What were/are your parents like? Mine were pretty liberal and fun growing up. Probably too much so." She asked, laughing. "I've traveled a lot through my childhood. Never really stayed in one place. I'm glad to be able to spend my last year in high school in one single place." She explained further.

Mina

Mina smiled at Henry as he spoke about not knowing much of Korean even though he was born from South Korea himself. She giggled softly while biting her bottom lips softly once again, giving him a nod. As if accepting his request. "Yes, I will help you. I was born in South Korea too! But at a young age I came here. Though, my parents did teach me Korean so I know how to speak it and read it. I can teach you then." Mina blushed softly, clearing her throat before nodding her head towards her classroom.

"Well. There's my classroom, I should get going before the bell rings. I have no idea if you take the same classes as me but hopefully I will see you around then?" Mina asked with an eyebrow rose, taking a few steps back while staring at Henry. But as she did, she accidentally bumped onto the water fountain. Her face quickly turned pink, turning around from embarrassment, without saying anything else Mina walked away to her classroom. What a clutz!

Audrey

The question was a surprise, and the expression that flashed across her face said just that. However, Audrey wasn't at all offended. Suddenly she found herself at a loss for words. Her parents were people she was very familiar with, loved, and respected. The unexpected question somehow caused her thoughts to go blank. All the details she knew so well simply disappearing.

"Uhhhhh...." She stammered, eyes darting around. Realizing what had just happened she started laughing at herself. "You ask me the worlds simplest question and somehow manage to break my brain." She half joked. With a deep breath she calmed herself and thought seriously about the question. "They are good parents, even though they drive me crazy sometimes. They put a lot of effort into teaching me, about what I'll have to do as an adult, how to take care of myself, respect of others, how to look after and care for animals, lots of things like that. And they expect a lot out of me. Not necessarily school related, though they want me to do well with it, but more so with the type of person I'll be. Being a liar, cheat, thief, or even just a slacker isn't an option. I was always taught to work hard and be responsible. It isn't always fun, makes me kinda boring, but I suppose it also makes me a good person." She explained, hoping that what she said made sense. "They are also fun. Despite being busy a lot of the time they make it a point to relax and have fun with the family." She added.

Kyle

As he listened to her speak he felt that he could trust her to not tell anyone. She didn't seem like the type to gossip, or to pointlessly betray someone. Just when he was about to speak several of the guys from the football team walked passed. As usually they stopped and greeted him, making a large commotion. Kyle never understood why they insisted on being so loud and obnoxious. "I'll catch up with you guys at practice later." He said to get them to go ahead and leave. Thankfully they did just so.

"Sorry about that. I guess they need to prove that they're the stereotypical jocks." Kyle said with a huff. "Anyways, I guess I should get to class. I'll see you around." He said with a quick nod and grin to Liz, then started walking to his first class of the morning.

"Yes, I will help you. I was born in South Korea too! But at a young age I came here. Though, my parents did teach me Korean so I know how to speak it and read it. I can teach you then."

Cute AND helpful. How refreshing. He mused to himself, chuckling once again. "I'll call you sensei! Oh wait... That's Japanese isn't it? Huh... What do you call your teacher in Korean?" He asked, tilting his head in confusion.

When she talked about her classroom, he smiled awkwardly, trying to hide his disappointment. He'd have to seek her out during lunch or something, provided they had the same lunch. But wait... He couldn't remember if the school was big enough to even need two lunch periods... He sighed and waved at Mina as she left, suppressing a chuckle at her little accident.

He let out another sigh, a small huff, and looked longingly in the direction she'd left as he watched her disappear into a classroom. Yep. Definitely worth going for this year. He thought to himself, smiling as he turned to walk by to his classroom, waving at the girls that spoke to him, giving them his standard princely smile.

Maggie

"You ask me the worlds simplest question and somehow manage to break my brain."

At that, Maggie chuckled and was prepared to tell her it didn't matter but she'd already started talking and similar to Maggie, once talking she didn't seem to want to stop even for a breath.

She laughed at the end, smiling at her new friend. "Boring isn't bad. Boring, in fact, is quite calming. Just being around a person like you can make a person feel at home. I like it." She explained, grinning at her. Before she knew it though, the bell sounded and she looked back down at her friend. "I suppose that's our cue?" She asked chuckling as she turned back around to face the front, pencil at the ready. She was wide eyed and ready for whatever new information that would come her way.

Her parents had drilled that sort of lifestyle into her. Always eager to learn something and always eager to try new things... It wasn't bad but she wasn't really good at any one thing like most people were...

Typical jocks...

Liz just remained silent while Kyle palled around with his fellow teammates, every one of them a musclebound neanderthal, spouting the usual dimwitted, inane prattle of dude and brah, fist pumping and testosterone abound. Liz merely ignored the whole spectacle, opting to light another cigarette to take some of the edge off. After a few drags, the dipshits headed off, probably to jerk each other off in the locker rooms or some shit.

Still, it didn't change how she saw Kyle. He looked like he didn't want to be part of their crowd either... maybe that's why she gravitated so much towards him, an outsider...just like her.

The goodbye...it was abrupt, yet still sincere. "Umm...y-yeah. See you later." Liz sighed, a wry smile returned as Kyle went his separate way, and Liz her own. None too soon did that small light darken and her smile revert to a soft frown. Oh well, she could still catch up to him after school...maybe.

After a while she had shambled in to her first class, taking her seat at the far back per usual next to the window. She slumped into her desk, laying her head on the polished, chilled surface with her arms cradled around her, her distant, apathetic glance only towards the window, towards the cold, gray sky and the leaves flickering through the wind.

~Magical time skip to lunch~

Audrey

Sooner than expected the morning classes were over. The idea that the day would breeze by didn't bother Audrey though. After exiting her classroom she made her way down the bustling corridors. Finally she arrived at her locker. "Here I come sandwich..." she mumbled to herself as she pulled the brown paper bag from her locker. Then came the question of where to eat her lunch. She could simply gotto the cafeteria like most the people,or maybe outside in the fresh air.

Kyle

For Kyle the morning seemed to drag on. When the bell rung to announce it was time for lunch he sprung to his feet and quickly exited. His vigorous exercise routines required him to eat a lot, which he never complained about. When he arrived at the cafeteria he was pleased to find that he had managed to beat the crowd. Taking a tray he began to fill it up with an assortment of foods.

Mina

It was such a boring class, and for some reason.. she couldn't stop thinking about Henry. He was so adorable and was the first guy who ever complimented her. Other than her father of-course. Mina was writing small hearts, around her paper, was she in love? Not really. But it was the first guy who has ever payed attention to her, so it's something special for her.

Ring Ring Ring!

Finally, the bell rang and it was time to go to the lunchroom. Mina was starving, but at the same time she felt nervous because of the Korean boy. What if she bumps into him like last time? No, it cannot be done! "What to eat today... I'll just get a salad then.

Mina reached for the tray with the salad, as she made her way towards an empty table, sitting alone.

Jacqui

The class came and went like clockwork. Jacqui, as usual, had her hand up to answer every question, however, her mind wondered to new places so often as she lightly tapped on her desk until a question arose. She was quite relieved when the bell chimed, her group of friends where dating the best Doctor the last lunchtime and It was getting intense, well as intense as a debate can get at least. She slides her books off the table, holding them to her chest before making her way out of the classroom and to her locker where she places her books before she continues on the the cafeteria.

Tyson

Truthfully Tyson didn't notice the bell had gone until the other students cleared the classroom. Tyson was off with the fairies, again. He snatches his books and makes a beeline for his locker. He shoves his books into the locker not paying much attention to where they went before he pulls his iPod back out of the locker shoving the (intended) left earphone into his right ear without notice before placing his music on shuffle, Mayday Parade beginning to flood into his right ear as he taps along with it on his thigh.

Tyson walks into the cafeteria collecting a tray before walking over to a table where a girl with black and red hair sat alone.
"Mind if I sit here?" He asks, in his usual slight mumble.

Liz

With the persistence of time to press onward and the ringing of the bell, her first few classes had gone by without a second glance, and really, it just felt like the usual day for Liz, more homework, more teachers pissed off at her for not turning in her homework, more detention hours for knocking out someone for calling her a name or two in scoffing, yep....pretty much the average day at school. But the bright side of it all was after the same old grind, lunch had soon arrived, just in time because she was already starving.

She treaded into the cafeteria, cutting in line per her usual style, snatching up a turkey, tomato and avocado sandwich with gouda on wheat with light mayo and an iced coffee. After she paid for her lunch, she decided to leave the cafeteria for the outside, where she sat at a picnic bench on the school campus by herself, sticking in her earbuds and pressing play on her MP3 player, bobbing her head softly to Mountains by Message to Bears and scribbling in her sketchbook while she ate in peace.

Kyle....her thoughts went to him for some obscure reason, some reason she couldn't fathom. Well...he was a cool guy and just about the only person Liz could relate to somewhat. She thought of maybe hanging out with him sometime, if he wasn't busy always working his ass off. Wait...no...bad idea. Besides, he probably enjoyed his peace, just as much as she did. He wouldn't want some druggie wasting his time.

Finally Audrey decided to go outside, where she felts most comfortable. After stepping out the door her eyes scanned the yards for a good place to sit. She saw a picnic table with only one other person sitting at it. She didn't recognize the girl but decided to approach anyways. "Hey, can I sit here? or are you saving it..." She asked stepping closer.

Kyle

Taking a seat next to the wall Kyle began to eat his lunch, hoping the rest of the team would choose to sit elsewhere. As he ate his foot tapped against the floor and his thoughts jumped about. He toyed with the idea of looking for Liz to hang out with. He found her to be easy going and unlike most people he could actual tolerate her company. Who am I kidding? I don't have time for friends. Between school, practice, and work I have no personal life. He thought to himself.

Henry

He stretched as the bell for lunch rang and everyone ran out. He'd had a lovely nap that last period and his stomach growled for sustenance. With a silly grin, he stood and walked out, stopping when the teacher stepped in.

"Henry Chyul. Next time you sleep in my class, take care so that I don't see it or I'll have to have you eat lunch in here. With me." The old woman scoffed at him, glaring. she certainly wasn't the most attractive teacher in the school, but she had her charms. She seemed like the motherly type and he liked that.

"Oh, lunch with Ms. Talbot? I should sleep in your class more often, huh?" He returned, winking at her as he slipped past and towards the lunchroom.

Entering, he grabbed a plate and piled it high with his special salad mix. Lots of leafy greens, tomatoes, nuts, and the best vinaigrette the school had to offer. With a bright look in his eyes, he spots the girl from before and rushes off to sit with her.

"You never told me how to say teacher in Korean. How am I suppose to address you if I don't know your name or how to refer to your title?" He asked, leaning in towards her ear. With a chuckle, he pulled away and sat down. "Though, I also realized that I never told you my name. I'm Hyun-woo Chyul but most people call me Henry." He continued, reaching out his hand to shake hers with that stupid grin of his.

Maggie

Maggie banged her head against her desk as the bell rang for lunch. She'd expected boring, hoped for it even, but still this was too much. She'd already learned all of this before. She was hoping for something a little bit more... advanced? Maybe she could request a move of classes. It wasn't like she'd made many friends in any of her classes, just her homeroom and that wouldn't change, would it?

She sighed and pulled her bag over her shoulder and made her way for lunch, stopping by her locker to place the books she didn't need anymore inside. She pulled at her t-shirt nervously and walked towards the lunchroom. This... this would be new and exciting. Yeah? Right? It was supposed to be fun and awful all at once, right?

She steadied herself and marched the rest of the way, not letting herself back out now. She slammed through the doors and marched her way to the lunch line, grabbing whatever food was left available, a sandwich here, pizza there, a cookie here. And then with a quick look, her resolve diminished. W-Why were there so many people here and she didn't know a single one of them.

She let out a violent puff of air and marched herself over to the nearest table with people at it and sat down. It was full of other seniors who all stared at her in silence until she finally just got up and left the lunch room with her plate.

That... could have gone better...

Her head hung low, she found a place near the lunchroom to sit down, against the wall. She would have gone around to look for Audrey but she didn't see her and felt too nervous to go and look for her. What a rotten day this was turning out to be.

Mina

Lunch-room time was loud, lonely and depressing. Mina didn't actually want to eat her plate of salad, she wanted something more.. a hamburger, but she was trying to watch for her figure. Then suddenly, someone spoke towards Mina, asking if he could sit with her. Mina smiled at the guy before giving him a small nod with a friendly wave. "Yes, of-course you can sit here. I mean, It's not like I actually own this table or something.... she'd say with a giggle before turning her head towards Henry. As he sat down besides her, she happily spoke to him, showing him how to say the word teacher in Korean.

"Seonsaeng.. and my name is Myoui Mina... It's nice to meet you, Hyun-woo oppa.~" Mina bowed her head as most Koreans do, before turning her head slightly towards the other guy. "My name is Mina, nice to meet you."

"Hey can I sit here, or are you saving it...?"

Taking a sip of her iced coffee, Liz's apathetic eyes scanned upwards to the source of the voice, a girl she knew from one of her classes. Lightly she shrugged her shoulders, as if to indicate yeah she could sit here, then went back to drawing in her sketchbook, pausing a moment to nibble on her sandwich. "You're...Audrey, aren't you?" She said while in the midst of putting the finishing touches on her artwork, her eyes never once leaving the drawing in question. "We have literature together."

"Seonsaeng.. and my name is Myoui Mina... It's nice to meet you, Hyun-woo oppa.~"

"Sayon-sang?" He repeated, a bit confused. "Mmm... Seon-sung? Sayion-song? Oh, god. I'm a terrible Korean." He continued, hanging his head over his salad. With somber movements, his lifted a fork full of his salad and shoved it in his mouth.

After chewing a bit, "Hey, Mina. How do you say that again?" He asked, suddenly turned back to look at her. "Sayon-sang?"

Then as if finally realizing the other guy was there, he lifted a hand and waved. "Henry." He greeted curtly before turning back to look at Mina. "S-Saiyon-Sueng?" He started again, getting tongue tied this time.
