Henry
He stretched as the bell for lunch rang and everyone ran out. He'd had a lovely nap that last period and his stomach growled for sustenance. With a silly grin, he stood and walked out, stopping when the teacher stepped in.
"Henry Chyul. Next time you sleep in my class, take care so that I don't see it or I'll have to have you eat lunch in here. With me." The old woman scoffed at him, glaring. she certainly wasn't the most attractive teacher in the school, but she had her charms. She seemed like the motherly type and he liked that.
"Oh, lunch with Ms. Talbot? I should sleep in your class more often, huh?" He returned, winking at her as he slipped past and towards the lunchroom.
Entering, he grabbed a plate and piled it high with his special salad mix. Lots of leafy greens, tomatoes, nuts, and the best vinaigrette the school had to offer. With a bright look in his eyes, he spots the girl from before and rushes off to sit with her.
"You never told me how to say teacher in Korean. How am I suppose to address you if I don't know your name or how to refer to your title?" He asked, leaning in towards her ear. With a chuckle, he pulled away and sat down.
"Though, I also realized that I never told you my name. I'm Hyun-woo Chyul but most people call me Henry." He continued, reaching out his hand to shake hers with that stupid grin of his.
Maggie
Maggie banged her head against her desk as the bell rang for lunch. She'd expected boring, hoped for it even, but still this was too much. She'd already learned all of this before. She was hoping for something a little bit more... advanced? Maybe she could request a move of classes. It wasn't like she'd made many friends in any of her classes, just her homeroom and that wouldn't change, would it?
She sighed and pulled her bag over her shoulder and made her way for lunch, stopping by her locker to place the books she didn't need anymore inside. She pulled at her t-shirt nervously and walked towards the lunchroom. This... this would be new and exciting. Yeah? Right? It was supposed to be fun and awful all at once, right?
She steadied herself and marched the rest of the way, not letting herself back out now. She slammed through the doors and marched her way to the lunch line, grabbing whatever food was left available, a sandwich here, pizza there, a cookie here. And then with a quick look, her resolve diminished. W-Why were there so many people here and she didn't know a single one of them.
She let out a violent puff of air and marched herself over to the nearest table with people at it and sat down. It was full of other seniors who all stared at her in silence until she finally just got up and left the lunch room with her plate.
That... could have gone better...Her head hung low, she found a place near the lunchroom to sit down, against the wall. She would have gone around to look for Audrey but she didn't see her and felt too nervous to go and look for her. What a rotten day this was turning out to be.
