Leos

A new school year meant a new roommate. Leos observed as students hauled their luggage and scurried into the building. Pokemon eagerly followed their trainers, and it was relatively easy to pick out first years, who all seemed to be more frantic about finding their dorm building. Leos had arrived early, alongside his brothers, and had taken a walk around the property, only to find it exactly how he remembered it to be. The dark-haired young man's hands rested in his pockets as he walked into his dorm building, careful to avoid trainers rushing about attempting to find where they belonged. The beginning of the year was almost always a hassle. Due to being one of the head donors to the school, he was allowed to come onto the property early.

The dorm building was cleanly, and he could see his reflection in the floor. Leos shuffled down the hallway, before finally arriving at his dorm room. He had decided to devote the upcoming year to building another pokemon team. Older, more experienced trainers often had multiple teams. He already had bred two new pokemon. So far, he had exclusively been a fairy-type trainer. However, he decided that he would train dragon types for his newer team. He twisted the bronze doorknob, opening the entrance, only to find that his roommate had not yet arrived. He entered the room swiftly. His side of it was neatly-kept, very tidily organized, as he preferred his living spaces to be. Still, he wondered what type of person he would be meeting.

He simply hoped that they were pleasant. Gender didn't matter as much to him as it mattered to Mathias. Leos had gone out of his way to remind Mathias not to pester any young woman that might be his roommate. But Arceus knew if his advice was taken to heart. More often then not, Mathias preferred to do things his own way. Which Leos would be fine with, if only his brother wasn't such a lackadaisical figure. At times, Leos worried for both of his brothers. He only just wished that they'd be wiser with their life choices. Mathias was overly energetic and often a handful to deal with. Sighing, Leos plopped down on his bed, bending down to reach into his suitcase, so he could unpack the remaining items within it.

----

The school year had started! As Mathias paraded all over campus, he greeted many people and reunited with old friends. He was one of the most popular young men on campus and he was heavily aware of that. Thankfully, he lacked the terrible arrogance that many other popular young men had acquired. More than anything, he was excited to meet his new roommate! He hoped that they were a girl! He loved girls! The tall blond was practically skipping over to his dorm building. His Umbreon was perched on his shoulders--although she was barely holding on. The poor dark type was forced to cling on for dear life as her boisterous trainer entered the dorm building. Grinning from ear to ear, he began to move into the hallway, and towards his room.

He gave loud, enthusiastic greetings to familiar faces along the way. The bulky blond hurried down the hall, eyeing all of the room numbers. He had been into his room already and put his luggage down, but he had left in order to sign up for the opening tournament. Now that he was a second year, he definitely had a shot at winning! Unlike his poor little brother Nikolai, who had just arrived at the academy for the first time ever. For once in ages, Leos had allowed Mathias to show Nikolai around somewhere. before arriving at his dorm room, where he inserted the key and tossed the door open. Rushing inside, he proclaimed.

Kaede pushed through the crowd of people on the first floor, checking behind her often to make sure Fi and Is were still there. She had considered putting them in their pokeballs until she got to her room, but they wanted to see the new school as much as she did, so it wouldn't have been fair to them.

The noise was overwhelming, the chattering voices of dozens of excited students was nothing like she was used to traveling Sinnoh, moving from quiet town to quiet town on roads built around nature, instead of through it. The closest place she could remember was Jubilife, but she didn't spend much time there. Kaede quickly found her room and unlocked it, escaping the chaos for a bit.

Fi immediately claimed of the two beds, curling up into a ball and falling asleep, while Is poked curiously around the room, looking for anything interesting or, more likely, anything edible. Kaede plopped down on the bed next to Fi, causing the Flareon to roll over until she was wrapped around her legs, and looked around the room. The other bed already had a suitcase on it, meaning her roommate had already been here. Taking a look at her letter, Kaede read her roommate's name out loud, absently reaching down to stroke Fi's soft fur.

"Mathias... I wonder who he is?"

Cameron glanced at the sheet of paper with her room assignment, and decided she would have to change it. She took a marker from her worn, grey messenger bag and crossed out the last name. Her grandfather's reputation had followed her to Team Plasma, but she did not intend for that trend to continue. Reading the sheet further, she discovered she was living on the first floor with a boy. That news was certain to thrill her parents, she thought, with a smirk.

Upon entering the first floor hallway, the first thing Cameron heard was a boy shouting, "DADDY'S HOME!" She couldn't see whoever it was, but expected that she would get to know whoever it was rather quickly. She dragged her single suitcase behind her, and wondered briefly whether the other students brought more to the academy. Regardless, she was confident that anything she needed wouldn't be too difficult to obtain, especially since she was encouraged to bring her pokemon to this academy.

What a weird place. This was something she had thought often in the weeks leading up to her departure. Sure, this was supposed to be a prestigious school, but who goes to trainer schools except ten-year-olds and people who have already failed in their pokemon journey? And since the academy was limited to older students, she wouldn't be training with ten-year-olds.

Finally, Cameron arrived at the door to room B. It looked rather sturdy, but Cameron was confident that she and her team wouldn't have too much difficulty breaking into it, or one like it, when the time came. Regardless, this time she decided to use the key she had been provided. She opened the door slowly, and spent a moment looking around from the doorway before entering. Immediately, she claimed the bed farther from the door, and flung her hefty suitcase up onto it. Then, she grabbed Chimes' and Magnus' pokeballs and let them out. The Seviper happily curled up in the closet, and Magnus, the Quilava, was quick to invite himself onto the bed. It's lame, Cameron thought, but I guess we can make it work.

"I'm finally here!" Marie smiled brightly as she looked at the school. She had just gotten off the boat and after carrying her luggage from the docks, she stood in the school's courtyard, taking it all in. She knew her father had sent her here to learn about Pokemon in general..but there was so many cool Pokemon here that she wanted to take a photo of them all! But she had to hold herself back. These were her schoolmates. There would be plenty of time to take pictures of them all later, maybe even later that day! Even though Marie usually only took photos of Pokemon, she was also kind of excited to get pictures of people too. Because people and Pokemon lived and worked with one another, and that was especially so here at this school! There was so much potential for a lot of good pictures! For now, Marie settled for a single shot of the courtyard, capturing a moment of the hustle and bustle of the first day.

Marie was contemplating taking another picture when her swablu, Cotton, who was perched on her head, gave a little impatient cry. "Oh! Right! I'm supposed to be moving in!" Marie laughed and added, "Thanks for reminding me." With that, Marie picked up her bags and started along to her dorm. As she looked around for her dorm, she couldn't help but to wonder what her roommate would be like. This was the first time she would be sharing a room with someone she didn't know for longer than a few days. Well, Marie couldn't see herself not getting along with someone, and even if she didn't, she didn't plan on spending a lot of time in her room. The least she was looking for in her roommate was someone that didn't mind his or her picture getting taken at least once.

After a few minutes of walking, and a few minutes of getting distracted by interesting sites or Pokemon, Marie finally made it to her room. "Oh wow!" Marie said as she looked around her room. Her roommate wasn't there yet, which was good! That meant Marie would be able to get of them soon! But for now she would get settleed in so she sat her bags down and started to unpack. Swablu jumped off of Marie's head and tried his best to help her set up, though he ended up mostly trying to keep the blankets on her bed all nice and neat.

Mathias had lost the letter he received from the school. Not that it mattered too much to him. The paper said the same thing every year, so he didn't think of it as too important. Unfortunately, he had gotten quite the earful from Leos, who had more the disapproved of his recklessness. Mathias stretched his heavily-tattooed arms out in front of him, whistling a merry tune. The hallways became less and less dense as he came closer and closer to his room. He was understandably eager to meet his roommate. He was just hoping that Nikolai was doing okay. Even if he wouldn't admit it, Nikolai perhaps had been nervous about his roommate.

Regardless, Mathias completely believed that his easygoing and "lovable" nature would be able to win any roommate over. He was absolutely social (and completely overbearing at times. When he found someone he particularly liked, he'd follow them around like a lost puppy.) and he was also athletic. His roommate had to like him. He had never had a roommate that disliked him... (But he had only been in the academy for one year previously.)

"Looks like we're here, lil buddy!" His Umbreon gave a squeak as he spoke, nuzzling against his cheek. Grinning, Mathias twisted the doorknob and eagerly launched himself like a torpedo inside. Immediately, he spotted the girl who he would be rooming with! Yay!! Girl! Girl! "Hi! I'm Mathias!" He gave her a sunny grin. His towering form approached her own. "It's nice to meet you!"

~Abigail Blanchett~

Well, she for one was finally glad to be here. What she wasn't glad about, was the other first years running all over the place. Most of them seemed completely lost. Amusing, to be sure really, but it meant most hadn't already prepared for their arrival here. Tsk, amateurs. She doubted any of them would at all be a challenge for her, or even provide at least a little bit of one. She supposed though, one couldn't judge a book by its cover. She'd reserve judgement until everything was settled and things got started.

She probably looked out of place among the other first years, calmly striding through the mass of them with her Gliscor, Flit, peering at them from over her shoulder while she hung onto her back. The pokemon gave her cheek a small pinch as a rumbling noise emanated from its stomach.

"I said you can eat once we get to the room, Flit." She huffed. It wasn't the first time this gluttonous little Gliscor pestered her for food. The Gliscor shifted on her back, popping its head up over her other shoulder and giving her other cheek a poke in a dissatisfied manner. She sighed, but ignored the pesky pokemon for now. Her room was on the first floor, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. She honestly was looking forward to her time here. Maybe there would be some good people here that could challenge her.

The only thing she wasn't looking forward too, was being made to have a roommate. She hoped whoever it was, was a competent trainer and not some bumbling idiot.

"See, that didn't take so long, did it?" She said, giving the pokemons ear a little pet. "You should be more patient, we're here already." Flit simply clicked her claws in response, obviously eager to get some food. She opened the door to the dorm, somewhat dreading she wouldn't like her roommate. When she stepped into the room...well, she supposed she could have done worse. He was a well dressed individual, rather unlike herself. He kind of reminded her of those posh men her mother would hang out with at some fancy party or something she never liked much. He lost a couple of points there, but other than that he seemed pretty good.

"So you're my roommate, huh?" She said, walking through the door and closing it behind her. Gliscor jumped off of her shoulder, landing on the other bed. "You look like you just crawled out of a party or something." She gave him a small smirk, throwing her bags onto the ground next to her bed before sitting next to Flit. She reached into it, looking around for something for a few seconds. It was obvious she wasn't exactly all that organized.

"Name's Abigail," She said, pulling out an apple from her bag and tossing it to Flit who happily started munching on it. "Guess we're roommates this year."

~Lynette Baines~

At the back of the crowds and the noisy first years, followed a little girl who was followed by a not so little Cofagrigus. The girl moved slowly, doing little twirls and spins, almost as if she was dancing with some unseen force as she completely ignored the odd stares of the other students who were straggling behind like she was. Well, if she was straggling anyways - she was right where she wanted to be. A quiet place in the back where she could go unnoticed. As she approached the building, she finally stopped doing her slow, partner-less waltz, coming to a stop by giving a little hop and landing on her left foot.

"Hmm...so many people, wouldn't you agree Chuckles?" She asked the Cofagrigus. The ghost type chuckled in response, one of its four ghostly arms giving its trainer a little pat on the shoulder.

"Aww, aren't you a sweet little thing, but It's okay, I'm not scared." She replied with a twirl, facing the larger pokemon with a grin. "In fact, this is going to be so much fun! So many people to play with, so little time! I do hope they have some fun people here." The Cofagrigus chuckled eerily again in response. "Lets be off then! We should get to our dorm so we can give our roommate a warm welcome!~" Once again chuckling in agreement, Cofagrigus set off after Lynette who was happily skipping along towards the second floor and the dorm.

It didn't take the duo long to reach the dorm, and she waltzed in without even knocking on the door. The room was about as typical as she expected of a dorm. She was a bit disappointed at that, but well, whatever. That was alright, the main thing was if her roommate was going to be fun or not! She hoped they didn't mind the occasional prank, or minded her ghost friends. T'would be sad indeed if they didn't, but she supposed that was life.

A sad little bucket of hopes and dreams that could be easily spilled.

She walked over to the bed in a mostly normal fashion, plopping down on it and throwing her bags carelessly onto it. She'd unpack later. For now she'd eagerly await her roommate to see who they were. Chuckles seemed to have the same idea, and set his body down right in front of the door, facing it and ready to greet any who would enter. Its red eyes, sharp teeth and lovable chuckling would definitely make a good impression on anyone entering, definitely.

A wide grin appeared across Izzy's face as he took in the sight of Lumi Academy. The ferry ride over had been mind-numbingly dull, especially compared to the mad dash to port that had preceded it -- Izzy had spent the past several days hopelessly lost in between Verdanturf and Petalburg City. His decision to forsake the routes and instead traverse the wilderness had been bold, especially given the rapidly approaching date for his ferry, and though a somewhat convoluted trip, it was well worth it. Izzy had even made friends with a Lotad along the way -- a Lotad that had evolved into the newest member of the team. Izzy grinned even wider -- Yes, the memorable journey made the destination that much sweeter.

Izzy looked down at the two papers in his hands. One was a small pamphlet; a map of the entire academy grounds, and the other was his student information, which included his dormitory number. Though eager to explore the campus, he decided that it was best to drop off his things first.

"Besides," he said to himself, looking down at his dirty and slightly torn shirt, "I think I need a shower."

-- A few minutes later --

"Room 1-B." Izzy glanced from his information sheet to the plate on the door. "I guess this is it. Hellooooo?!"

Following a quick rap on the door, he headed inside. A rather bare yet welcoming room awaited him. The dormitory was clearly well-maintained. Izzy took quick notice of the furniture -- beds and dressers had been an uncommon luxury recently. Not that he minded. What he paid more notice to, however, was the other occupants of the room: A giant snake in the closet, a fiery hedgehog-like creature on the bed, and a girl with glasses and a braid of reddish-brown hair. His roommate(s), he presumed.

"Heya." Izzy said, plopping his lone rucksack at the foot of his new bed. "The name's Isaiah, but everyone calls me Izzy."

With another wide grin, he extended his hand. "Nice to meet'cha!"

Sam walked onto the school grounds. Because of his backpack, he wasn't able to carry his partner on his back like he normally does, but instead he let him rest inside his pokeball. It was crowded, but Sam liked that. In a big crowd, it was hard for people to spot him, and that made him feel more secure in some way. Now, all he had to do was find his dorm and hopefully get along with his new roommate.

Once at his room, he found out he was the first one to arive. Looking around the room a bit, he saw it wasn't anything too special, but rather a bit average and predictable. Sam liked that as well.

He set his bag at the back of the room between the two beds, not wanting to claim a bed yet, and waited for his roommate to arive. He hoped he would be nice, so becoming friends wouldn't be that hard. It mostly didn't matter who his roommate was, as he had many while traveling, but none of them were for a long time though.

The idea of having a roommate for at least a year was a bit scary, but Sam knew it would be all right. Even if he didn't like his roommate, it would just be another challenge which he had to face, and he wouldn't lose a challenge without a fight.

Kaede reached out her hand to take Mathias', still seated thanks to almost fifty five pounds of fluff reclining on her lap, when Is pushed her way onto her lap, deposing Fi and interrupting the handshake with an icy stare.

"Is..." Kaede grumbled, exasperated, pushing the offending pokemon sideways onto the mattress and standing up. "He's going to be living with us for a while, so you're gonna need to get use to him."

Brushing her hair back out of her face, she reached out her hand again, this time firmly grasping her new roommate's. "I'm Kaede, and these two are Is and Fi." She indicated both in turn, noticing that Fi seemed to have simply rolled back onto her stomach and fallen asleep again after Is shoved her. "Usually these two are better behaved, but I think the excitement is getting to them."

Cameron looked up from petting Magnus as Izzy knocked on the door and entered the room. "Hey, what's up?"

The boy in the room looked far different than she had expected. He was coated in dirt, smelled rather like he hadn't showered lately, and wasn't much taller than she was - if he was taller at all. She immediately noticed, and was somewhat annoyed by, his cheery grin. However, it was somewhat nice that he hadn't brought a mountain of stuff with him; the mediocre dorm furnishings filled the room sufficiently, in her opinion. I can't imagine what there is for him to be so perky about, she thought, but decided it would be best to figure out why later.

Even if it was an unreasonably happy boy, Cameron was sure that she could cause some skin to crawl back home when she wrote about her living situation, as though this were more of a miscreant situation than camping with wanted criminals.

Cameron walked across the room to Izzy in three steps and shook his hand, working up a congenial smile. I'm Cameron. I guess you can call me Cam, or whatever." Then, looking back over her shoulder, she motioned to the Pokemon behind her. "That's Magnus on the bed, and Chimes claimed the closet. They're with me. I guess we're roommates?"

As far as roommates go, he's not the worst of the draw. Still, I hope he showers.

Mikazuki Izayoi
Going through the crowds was something she had little trouble doing so considering her Noivern's glaring at people who got to close it or its trainer. "Come now Valzy none of that we are not here for you to stake your territory" Mikazuchi said with a sharp turn getting the bat like dragon to let out a small whine. With a shake of her head she continued her trek forward ignoring the rather pointed stares she was getting if it was due to her or her pokemon she had no clue but it didnt matter to her much in the long run.

With the pace they were going and the people avoiding her Valzy for reasons beyond her it was like they never saw a dragon type pokemon before. Either way they made it to the dorm with another pointed look at her starter pokemon to make sure it didn't come up with any ideas. Hopefully her dorm mate wouldn't mind her Noivern to much since it did not like staying in the pokeball all that much. Either way she supposed Noivern would probably want to be let out tonight so it can get a grasp of the area soon so it was probably for the best that they got used to the pokemon.

As she reached the door to her room she knocked to be polite as she did not want to make sure she walked in on something she would rather have not done so. Hearing no response she slowly opened the door awaiting whatever waited her in the end.

While waiting on her new roommate, Lynette decided it was probably best for the others to get a bit of fresh air as well. None of them liked staying in their pokeballs. She could sympathize, really! Being cooped up in one all day wasn't fun at all. Well, aside from Skully. Him and Chuckles together would take up too much room in the dorm. No need in overcrowding it, she'd take the Dusknoir on an evening waltz later. She released the other two from their pokeballs. Dolly, the Banette decided her head would make a good perch, while Wisp her playful Lampent floated around the room, excitedly exploring the new room.

"Hehe~ What do you think, Dolly?" She asked the Banette. "I like it. Nice and simple! Hey hey, who do you think our new room mate is gonna be? I do hope they like all of you." Dolly simply gave a small, somewhat dismissive cry before landing in her lap. She wrapped her arms around the small ghost type, giving it a small hug. "Heh, you're right. It doesn't matter at all, does it?" And then, there came a knock at the door. Wisp froze, hiding behind the Cofagrigus. Lynette did the same, waltzing over to the door with Dolly in her arms, not saying anything.

The door opened, and Chuckles made his move. With a low, eerie chuckle, two of his hands opened the door all the way, practically throwing it open. The Cofagrigus' red eyes started at the newcomer, its mouth contorted into its typical grin. It tossed out one hand at the newcomer while the other rested on the ground. Following this, Wisp poked its head over the top of Cofagrigus, giving the new trainer a curious, but friendly look. Lynette poked her own head around the side of Chuckles, wearing her usual grin. Dolly managed to escape her grasp, however and floated over to the bed, completely uninterested.

Following Chuckle's welcome, Lynette continued.

"Hehe, hello!" She giggled.

Wes maneuvered his way through the crowd of students, a Jumpluff floating beside him. He was an introverted person by nature, but he felt uneasy when he didn't have some sort of companion – his Ninetales hated crowds more than he did, and the Krookodile took any chance he got to glare and growl at people in the hopes of starting a fight. So that just left Tilly, his bubbly Jumpluff. He was more careful than normal as he moved through the people because of the swaddled egg he held under his leather jack close to his chest.

Wes pushed through the doors of the dorm building, a red duffle bag (stuffed with what few possessions he had) over his shoulder and headphones playing music in his ears. Wes didn't particularly like the idea of rooming with someone else, but he'd gotten used to it after two years and he typically didn't spend much time in the room, anyway. Finding room 2-D was simple enough, and he nudged open the door with his shoulder.

He glanced up to see someone already in the room. Wes… had no idea who this other boy was. This wasn't surprising, as he didn't socialize much and paid little attention to his classmates. But still, it would've been nice to have had an idea of what sort of person he was to start off with. He looked around Wes' age, maybe a little younger, but there was little else to go off of. He looked like he had the concept of basic hygiene down, at least. Tilly trilled in greeting at this new person, while Wes just gave a little nod.

"Wes," he said by way of introduction. He looked over to the beds to see them both unclaimed. A bag was set behind them, but not particularly close to either. An eyebrow quirked up at that. Polite. Wes took the invitation for what it was and tossed his duffle onto the bed closest to him. Reaching up to slip the headphones out of his ears, he looped the wire over the back of his neck. He nodded in the Jumpluff's direction and said, "Tilly." She just gave another happy trill and floated over to their roommate to inspect him. Wes turned back to his bag and started yanking out his thin bedsheets after carefully placing the egg in the center of the bed.

As Sam heard the door behind him open, he slowly turned towards the opening to see what he presumed was his roommate. He had a Jumpluff with him, and seemed about the same age as himself, if not a bit older. A trainer about my age with a stage two pokemon... If he has more pokemon like that, I would say he is well experienced. As the trainer introduced himself as Wes, which Sam presumed would be short for Wessel or Wesley, he noticed the introduction was short and simple, yet not blunt. He liked that. He got a sly smile on his face, seeing he already liked the person even though they just met.

"Sam," he answered in a similar way. Wes claimed his bed, so Sam took the other bed and moved his bag next to it. As Wes introduced his Jumpluff as Tilly, Sam nodded and took out his partner's pokeball from his belt. Pressing the button and inflating it, it opened and a small light came out, forming the shape of two swords crossing eachother. "Doublade. Just Doublade," Sam said.

He knew many people liked to give their pokemon nicknames, yet somehow Sam never liked doing this himself. It was probably because he thought that giving a pokemon a nickname was to stengthen the bond between the pokemon and the trainer, which he personally didn't find necessary, as he already had a strong bond with each of his pokemon.

That, and he was never good at coming up with names for his pokemon.

As Sam took out his bedsheets out of his bag, and his Doublade was trying to become friends with Tilly, he saw that Wes put a pokemon egg on his bed. Sam looked at this, finding it a bit weird, but didn't question it too much. "Are you a pokemon breeder?" He asked while making his bed ready. Sam heard about the options of the Academy for studies like breeding and contest coordination. He wasn't sure what to do himself yet, as he was always a friendly battler, never competetive. He thought it would a good idea to just let the basic studies happen and see what would interest him along the way.

Not really caring that a ghost was the first one to welcome her to the room Mikazuki smiled softly and decided to return the greeting "Hello its a pleasure to meet you my name is MIkazuki Izayoi I hope we can get along." With a slight nod of her head one thing she learned was to never bow to deeply to dragon type you at times had show who was dominant which made the habit of not really doing a traditional bow when greeting someone. "So you like ghost types?" She asked trying to get some read on the char of her new bunkmate since it really was a curious thing to know about or for her it was. Stepping in she let Valzy enter the room before turning to the dragon "Come now Valzy be polite and greeet the person." She said with a side glance since knowing her starter pokemon he would rather growl to try and claim it as his territory or ignore the person entirely. With that said the Noivern with a grunt of displeasure looked at the person before growling softly and bowing his head.

Wes paused when he looked over his shoulder to see a shining crimson Doublade. He raised his eyes to look between it and Sam, but otherwise made no comment before turning back to his duffle. Tilly was overjoyed at having someone new to play with and flitted around the Doublade, white feather-like seeds floating to the ground. Shaking his head at Sam's question, Wes finished pulling out all the sheets and started working on making his bed.

"Undecided," he said. "Someone asked me to watch the egg for a bit and then she bailed. Guess it's mine now." He dropped his bag onto the floor and then carefully placed the egg on top of it so he could straighten out the sheets. It was then that Tilly lit up and trilled some more at the Doublade. She flitted over to Wes and nudged two more pokeballs out of his jacket pocket. When they fell to the floor, a flash of red lit up the room. When the light faded a Ninetales and a Krookodile were standing there, taking in this new environment.

The Ninetales was quick to see everything and after glancing at her trainer to make sure he was ok, she walked over towards his bag and sat next to it. Her tails curled around the egg in a protective, warm cocoon. Tilly darted happily around the Krookodile's head, trying to get him to play. He just swatted at her half-heartedly, but his eyes lit up when he saw the Doublade. A potential challenge. He tilted his head to the side, cracking his neck, and opened his mouth in some mix between a smirk and a snarl. Sharp claws were already being raised in a ready stance. But before so much as a growl could escape his throat though, a wilted pillow collided with the side of his head. The Krookodile snapped his eyes to Wes in a glare, who just glared back. They were frozen like that for a moment in a silent battle of wills. Then the Krookodile broke the stare in a huff and lumbered over to drop next to the Ninetales. Unperturbed by this display, Tilly just floated over and landed on his head. She chirped again to the Doublade and Wes turned back to his bed.

"Don't mind him. He won't give you trouble."

Mathias gave Kaeda's softer hand an enthusiastic, energetic shake--perhaps a bit too eager to greet his new roommate. He eyed the two Pokemon in an interested manner, before grinning widely again as his gaze moved back to Kaede's face! They were gonna be best friends! ...Maybe more? Mathias could feel the excitement for the upcoming year broiling in his mind.

"Nice to meet 'ya! We're gonna have such a great year!!" He stated enthusiastically. "It's fine!" He told her in regards to her pokemons' behavior. "I'm so excited for the welcoming tournament!" He launched himself back on his bed in a sudden show of athleticism, laughing as he landed. "It's the first year we've had any big welcoming... thing like it! Have you signed up for it? Enrollments are going throughout the entire week~!" Mathias seemed like an incredibly uppity fellow. His Umbreon, Luella, squeaked up as she jumped onto the bed, curling up next to his large form.

"So... Kaede!! Are they your only two pokemon?" He questioned, peering over at her. He had an entire team of dark types, plus his Umbreon. And he was just beginning to start a new team, as he was determined to one-up his brother--who had just started on his second team.

"Crawled isn't exactly the right term." Leos's tone was glossy as he gazed over at his roommate, who introduced herself as Abigail. He gazed over at her pokemon for a brief moment. "My name is Leos Adderley." He stated. "Nice to meet you." He stated kindly, folding his hands as he leaned forward. "You're a second year, aren't you?" He questioned her casually. "Were you in one of the tournaments last year?" He remembered her last name very faintly. Perhaps she had been one of the more notable competitors? That, and he was Student Council President. It was his duty to look after the student body and govern over activities and such.

More often than not, it was he who suggested new festival ideas and whatnot. Leos was rather well-known throughout the campus, for his academical success, alongside his status as student council president. The fact that he had won multiple tournaments throughout his years at the academy also helped him gain recognition throughout the student body.

Kaede sat back on her bed across from Mathias, placing each of her hands on a pokemon. Tournament? She thought to herself, Maybe I'll enter.

Outloud, she said "I used to have a full team, but I left the rest with my mother when I left Sinnoh. Now it's just me and these two troublemakers." She knuckled each of their heads affectionately.

"So what about this tournament? What are the rules?" She hadn't been in a tournament since her early time in Sinnoh, back before she knew what she was doing. Since then she had grown quite a bit, and wanted to see what she and her team were capable of. Besides, it sounded like a good way to meet people.
