~Lynette Baines~

Chuckles moved aside, allowing the other girl to enter the room unhindered. He seemed quite happy, the large grin on his face wider than usual. Wisp stayed rooted firmly on his head as he found himself a comfortable spot to stand next to Lyn's bed. Lynnette was pleased, as well. She didn't seem put off by Chuckles at all! How wonderful, then! Perhaps they could become besties! That would be fun! They could do all kinds of fun things together. She wondered if this Mikazuki Izayoi liked going ghost hunting? Hmm~

"Hehe!~ Yes yes, I love my adorable little friends here. Pleasure to meet you, Mika~" She giggled, doing a little twirl and ending it with a little bow facing the other girl."Lynnette Baines! That's me. Just call me Lyn, though. It's what Chuckles calls me, anyways! He's the big guy you met on the way in. The cute little girl sitting on his head is wisp. The rude lazy one over there taking a nap is Dolly." Lynnete hopped, landing on the bed on one foot before doing another little twirl before sitting down and giving Mika a grin.

"That's everyone but Skully. But he's kind of a big guy, and it'd be kind of cramped. I'll let ya meet him later, I'm gonna take a walk with him later tonight." She looked over at the Noivern, giving the dragon type her usual grin. She didn't particularly like dragons herself, but well - hey, if that's what Mika liked then she wasn't gonna judge!

"Hehe, he's an adorable little dragon." She said, "Valzy is his name, right? You like dragon types, then?"
~Abigail Blanchett~

"Second year? Nah, this is my first year here." She replied. "This time last year I was traveling around Johto. If I was in your little Tournament though," She continued, a smug smirk crossing her lips. "You'd definitely remember it, because I would have won." The amount of confidence she said that with, could have been mistaken for over confidence. To her though, that was just a fact. She would have won, and there wasn't anyone who would have told her otherwise. That said, she had never participated in one because she wasn't entirely sure she could win easily...and well, she wanted to be as prepared as she could, which was why she enrolled here.

"I plan on graduating from this school, and then challenging the Elite Four right after I do." She continued saying, giving Leos a rather smug smirk. "I plan on winning all the tournaments this little school has too, so you might as well just give up now...Leos was it?" What kind of stupid name was that, anyways? "Because I'm going to win anyways, might as well give up while your ahead."

A touseled mess of hair stared back at Izzy as he wiped away the fog from the bathroom mirror. He looked somewhat unfamiliar to himself now, having had spent the last two months outside of civilization -- or the reach of a mirror -- for the most part. His chalky locks had grown even longer and thusly had become more unmanageable than before. Not that such a thing bothered him; it was too much of a hassle styling hair to something fashionable -- such time could be spent doing something more worthwhile. Like cave diving. Or climbing a tree.

Refamiliarized with his own appearance, Izzy exited the washroom and made his way back to his dorm room. Rather, to his half of a dorm room. Sharing a room was something new for him. His home back in Sinnoh was fairly large; enough so that even he and his older sister both had their own rooms. Izzy wasn't opposed to the idea of sharing. Cameron had struck him as a nice enough person -- he was certain they would get along fine. As long as she didn't drag him into her...girl drama. Did girls really fight that much? Izzy had never spent much time around women save for his sister, and he was pretty sure she was an exception to every human norm.
There was that one girl, though...

Izzy walked back into the room and threw himself onto the mattress, which made a satisfying ploomf. "So, Cameron? Where are you from? I come from Sinnoh -- originally, anyways, but I've been traveling several regions for a while now."

Leos was absolutely amused. However, he definitely wasn't taking her seriously. "You're cute. I think we'll get along fine." Leos praised in a sweet manner, as though he in no way actually considered her a threat. He had no issues in complimenting her, even if she would become insulted by it. What a lovable personality. "Your attitude is becoming. Ava? Adeline? Abigail, was it?" He teased her. He leaned back, against the wall as he eyed her.

"Anyways," He continued on, as though he hadn't of just disregarded her over-confidence and called her cute several times. "I'm thoroughly interested to see what you have to offer to our humble academy." In all honesty, he believed it was likely that she would become quite agitated. But it was something he had no problem with. He honestly found it sweet that she thought she could win a tournament during the first month of her first year at the academy.

Mathias was too eager about the new school year, wrapped up in his thoughts about all of the possibilities. He couldn't wait for the tournament! He couldn't wait to start cooking again! And he had multiple sports matches to look forward to!

"Really?" His eyes practically sparkled upon hearing her answer. "You're from Sinnoh. That's so cool! I lived in Snowpoint for most of my life--but then we moved."

"The tournament...? Rules? Oh! It's double-battles, four pokemon being the maximum amount you can enter." He told her quickly. "My team is all dark-types, but I'm sure we'll get really, really far!" He cheered in an enthusiastic manner. "Although, my bet for this year is on Leos. He's my brother, and is a fourth-year!"

Nikolai had been roaming around campus. Truthfully, he had been quite eager to explore the different facilities. While the campus was fairly huge, he had covered a decent amount of it. He had unpacked mostly all of his belongings, and organized them neatly within his living space. He had brought his Meowstic, Marvin, with him on the brief trip, and now after getting a quick bite to eat, they were on their way back to the dorms. He wasn't all that eager to meet his roommate. Nikolai was a tough and frank person--but he disliked sharing his living spaces with others. He just hoped that his roommate was clean.

He walked into the dorm building and swiftly down the hall, ignoring another first year who he practically steamrolled as he continued towards his room. He looked carefully at the letters. Due to how large each room was, it was tough to arrange more than four onto a single floor. Each room was spacious, which he was glad for. Eventually, he located his room after ascending a flight of stairs. He reached out, twisting the doorknob in order to open the door. A young woman, on the shorter side with black hair, was in the room. He walked in without a word, only greeting her after he shut the door.

"Hello." He was curt. "I am Nikolai."

Sam saw Wes looking between him and his Doublade, but not saying anything. He knew that his Doublade would attract many eyes, but he just ignored it most of the time. He was used to the fact it was shiny, so it has become kinda normal for him.

As Wes answered his question, he didn't know how to react. He didn't know the person he was talking about, yet the way Wes talked about her made him feel a bit sad for both him and the pokemon in the egg. However, he shook it off his mind, and continued to get the most important stuff out of his bag.

When the two new pokemon got out of their pokeballs, Sam looked at them curiously. A Ninetails and a Krookodile. He must be quite a strong trainer. The Ninetails didn't pay much attention to him, but the Krookodile got into fighting stance as soon as he laid eyes on his Doublade. He knew Doublade wouldn't attack without Sam telling him to do so, because where Sam trusted Doublade's skills, there Doublade trusted those of Sam, and both of them knew that keeping your head cool was important in a battle.

However, before the Krookodile got his chance to attack, Wes interfered, and without saying a word, he made the big Dark-Ground type calm down. Impressive, making such an hard to handle pokemon listen to you by only staring at him. As his Doublade and Tilly were chatting with eachother again, Sam simply said: "Thanks."

After Sam got most of his stuff out of his bag, he turned to Wes and said: "There is supposed to be a point around here where you can apply for stuff like school clubs. Want to come with me?"

Marie unpacked as quickly as she could, she wanted to try and get out and find out all she could about where the wild pokemon were, and maybe take a few more pictures of the new students around the campus to send to her dad. Of course, she should probably try to make friends. It wasn't a top priority, but hey, why not? She was going to be staying here for a little while after all. Speaking of new friends, Marie was getting her camera ready to go, when her roommate walked in! Though it seemed he was a man of few words.

"Howdy!" Marie smiled at him. "I'm Marie Ray, Pokemon photographer in training! Nice to meet you Nikolai. I guess you and I will be getting to know each other pretty well. I guess you should meet my team now. Well, this is Cotton," as Marie said that, Cotton flew up onto her head and perched there. "And my only other pokemon is Jeanie." She got out Jeanie's pokeball and let her come out. Jeanie floated quietly next to Rosie but waved one of its small, string arms at Nikolai as a greeting. "I'm thinking about expanding my team a bit to help me more later on in the year, but for now, this is it!" She told him, her smile growing.

Marie was about to stop to let him speak and say a few words about himself, when she realized she almost forgot something "Oh! Also would you mind if I took your photo? As a photographer, photos are important to me and I feel like I should have at least one of my first ever roommate! But if you don't want me to do that, thats cool too."

When Izzy left for the bathroom, Cameron decided to unpack her suitcase. There wasn't terribly much to unpack - and everything important was in the messenger bag at her hip, anyway - but at least she would get something done in the empty time. She shrugged off her precious messenger bag onto the bed, and shoved her clothes somewhat haphazardly into the top two drawers of the dresser. When she finished, the top drawer no longer closed on account of the purple sleeves hanging out of it, and the second drawer held only her two uniforms for classes. It's not like it matters how I organize things. Cameron thought, as she tossed her notebooks and pens for class onto the top of the dresser.

All that remained to move into was the bottom drawer. "Chimes, let me know if you hear that kid coming back before I'm done." Carefully, she pulled a jewelry box the size of her fist from the bottom of her suitcase and set it in the center of the drawer. She looked over her shoulder nervously every few seconds, but still somehow managed to make progress. Beside it, she placed a framed photograph of her immediate family, face down, a small bottle of perfume, and a package wrapped in brown paper, which was a little bigger than the jewelry box. With a satisfied sigh, she pushed the bottom drawer shut. If only I could lock it, she thought, somewhat hesitant to leave her prized possessions in a dorm room. "Watch those for me, okay, Magnus? And Chimes, you've got company." She said, as she pushed the suitcase into the closet beside her favorite reptile. "Don't worry. I won't take up much more of your space," she told Chimes, patting her on the head.

Having accomplished everything she really had to do, Cameron flopped onto the bed beside Magnus. Shortly, Isaiah emerged and started asking her personal questions, like where she was from. Although sharing space was nothing new - just remembering the Team Plasma dormitories made this place seem like a castle! - having to get to know her roommate was a foreign experience. Cameron rather preferred to spend time with people who didn't put stock in the past, unless it was a great story, completely disconnected from how the past felt and the circumstances and choices that led up to the story. It was just better to keep the past separate from the present. But here was Izzy, and he wanted to know where she was from. Who really gives a shit? She asked herself, but after an inordinately long pause, she answered the question.

"I'm from Johto technically, but I'm really more of a nomad. I spent some time in Sinnoh, not too long ago. Maybe we have friends in common." By Arceus, she hoped not.

What other things do people who want to get to know each other ask?

"Do you, uh, have any siblings?"

Way to be awkward, Cameron. Way to be awkward. Sensing her hesitance, Chimes had begun to slither out of the closet and across the floor towards her trainer.

Wes reached down and grabbed the pillow off of the floor when Sam invited him to the club fair. He paused, glancing up at the other boy before continuing to drop the pillow at the head of his bed. His first instinct was to just flat-out decline. Wes wasn't all that interested in spending more time with this person, no matter how bearable he seemed, and the idea of going out to brave the crowd again was unappealing. Besides, he never signed up for any clubs, anyway.

His Ninetales, Claudia, opened her crimson eyes to shoot him a look, knowing him well enough to guess at his thoughts. The ends of her tails flicked back and forth through the air. It was no secret among the team that she didn't approve of his introverted ways. (Tilly didn't either, but she'd never challenge him like this. Gambit… didn't really care. Or at least, he tried not to.) Normally he ignored her looks, but lately… even he had to admit he'd been more withdrawn than usual. The edge of Wes' mouth quirked down for the briefest of moments before he gave a quiet sigh and looked away.

"Signups are usually in front of the library. I needed to go there anyway. I'll show you where it is."

Claudia closed her eyes again, looking far too satisfied, while Gambit tried to look grumpy beside her. Tilly lit up and floated off of the Krookodile's head and over to flit around Wes in happiness. Picking up the two fallen Pokeballs, he returned Claudia and Gambit – there was no way this room was staying intact if those two were left alone. He slipped his earphones back in, picked up the egg and swaddled it in a patchy grey sweater, and started walking towards the door.

Sam was happy his new roommate would show him the way. As Wes picked up his egg and headed for the door, Sam went ahead and opened the door for him. After they both them and their pokemon left the room, Sam locked the room behind them and his Doublade got on his back. As he followed Wes through the hallways, he noticed Wes took the egg with him even though it would be safe back at their dorm. He thought that whoever this person was he got the egg from, she must have meant a lot to him.

As they reached the library and the sign-ups, Sam saw there weren't many people yet. He used this chance to get to the sign-up before it would get too crowded. Hmmm... Art looks fun, but Astronomy also seems interesting. Then again, Football seems very energetic, and being in the Student Council wouldn't hurt either. You know what? I will join them all! Sam thought as he filled in the application for each of the four clubs. Besides that, he saw the sign-up for the welcoming tournament, and seeing as it was a double battle, he signed up for that as well.

Sam turned back and walked towards Wes. "I think I'm done. How about you?" He asked him. He looked around, seeing as more people began to gather around them. He was wondering what the people of his team would be like. That reminded him of something. "I almost forgot to ask, but which school team are you in?"

"Yah I like dragon types grew up with them majority of my life considering I am from Black Thorn City." Mikazuki said with a small smile gracing her lips. "So what type of pokemon is Skully? Also as you can probably guess my main party is full of dragon type pokemon" She quickly added as she put her things up on the opposite side. Setting up the room was going to be easy seeing as she preferred things rather spartan in tastes and most of her personal items inlcluding things like berries her pokemon liked to other such things.

"Skully is a ghost type, obviously! I found him when he was just a baby little Duskull. The little guy doesn't really get along with other people so well, unfortunately though." She sighed, her grin fading into a momentary frown, just as Wisp plopped itself down on her head, gazing across the room at Mika. The pokemon gave both her and Valzy a friendly wave. "He loves me though! A little too much sometimes I think." She giggled, hiding her mouth behind one of her hands as her usual grin returned.

"So what are you here for?" She questioned, though she didn't particularly care if she got an answer or not. She was mostly just curious as to why someone would bother coming to this place at all, considering she didn't really wish to attend herself, but her parents insisted and Chuckles had agreed with them...so she reluctantly agreed. Skully was against it as much as she was, though. Dolly didn't care one way or another, and Wisp was just as happy here as anywhere else.

This.

Little.

Bitch.

In any other circumstance, being called cute may have quieted her down really quick, especially if the person calling her that meant it. But right now? This guy...she was gonna give him a piece of her mind. A smirk right on her face, she walked right over to him - once again glad that she was fairly tall, especially for a girl. Gliscor jumped onto her back again, giving Leos an equally challenging stare, leaving the leftover apple on the bed.

"You don't sound convinced." She calmly replied, but there was a definite edge to her voice. "I'd be more than happy to thoroughly give you a good trashing if you want me to." Flit clicked her claws in a somewhat menacing manner, probably just as eager to prove that she was better than him or his pokemon. She hoped he did accept her little challenge. If he didn't, in her opinion he was just all talk and no substance then. Just a weak little trainer who was too afraid to accept a challenge.

Kaede nodded to herself, seeming to have reached a decision. "Alright, sounds like fun. I'd better hurry up and put my name down then." She levered to her feet, moving to the door in two quick steps. Fi and Is bounded to catch up with her, slipping past into the hallway as she opened the door. She stopped and turned when she was halfway out the room, an almost forgotten question coming to the front of her mind.

"Uh... Where do I do that?"

"Siblings? Yeah, I have a sister."

Izzy rolled onto his back and looked at the ceiling. He hadn't seen his older sister in nearly two years now. She had left home a couple years before he had to begin her own journey into the world. Last he'd heard, she was in Unova researching something about the relationship between Pokemon and plants or something -- it was the sort of bookish snorefest she had always liked. The kind Izzy usually took measures to avoid.

"She's a few years older than me. We're not very much alike." Izzy spoke flatly. He didn't very much want to get into the details regarding his kin; that sort of conversation usually went down an awkward path of questions he couldn't answer. Frankly, he didn't get his sister, nor did he know a lot of the things about her most siblings should about each other. She was calculating and always focused on understanding every little thing about whatever. Instead of wanting to experience new things constantly, she would rather latch onto the object of her fancies until her curiosity was sated. Izzy loved his sister without a doubt, but he never "clicked" with her.

"What about you? You seem like you'd fit the "big sister" bill."

Cameron had asked the question expecting some sort of monologue on the joys and tragedies of being a sibling, but was pleasantly surprised by Izzy's nearly-monotoned and unexcited response. He hadn't even mentioned the sister by name, apparently didn't like her, and wasn't making eye contact. As far as Cameron bothered to care, all of that was perfect.

What about you? You seem like you'd fit the "big sister" bill." Cameron wondered how she had given off that impression. Maybe I'm similar to the mystery sister. I guess it doesn't matter, though. She hadn't decided whether she was going to be honest with this kid - er, her roommate - about her life before asking the question, and now she was feeling a little stumped. However, at the last second, she decided it would be better to not start of with a lot of things she'd have to remember.

"You think so? I've got an older brother, and there are some younger ones, too. Big family." In Johto, it seemed like most families had three children at the most, and her parents' hearty crew had never quite fit in among other families, and being in the Elm family hadn't helped matters. Things might be different in other regions, but Cameron hadn't been particularly interested in family dynamics during her travels. Actually, if her travels hadn't been forced to an unpleasant halt, she probably would have never seen her family again. There had been one benefit to returning home: she met her youngest brother for the first time. He was four, and the person in her family she related to the best at this point. That was actually kind of a depressing thought. It was definitely time to change the subject. This whole 'getting to know people' thing had become less and less comfortable for Cameron with each passing year, and family was definitely not a helpful topic.

"So, uh, I heard there are clubs here? Are you gonna join any?"
