I'm HylianRose, or Rose for short. (sometimes HR, Roze, Hylian, Hylioo, etc.)
I have tried this RP a few times and it usually dies but I really enjoy the idea and would like to give it another shot. However, I would like to get RPers that are also willing to help develop and build the world with me. A lot of it is already fleshed out and many of the final decisions will be made by me, but I need RPers that are willing and able to step up and take lead should they need to. (I'm in college and very nearly busy 24/7, so I need a capable co-GM.)
Now, for the idea...
The school, Saint Valerius Academy is a year-round academy that's located in a relatively remote place in Northern Europe, with the closest civilization being the town nearly twenty miles distant. The academy proper is atop a small hill in a valley, surrounded by lush, heavy forest. Its classes are for a high-school only, with college level classes available for the more advanced students. Dorms are provided on-site, and located away from the main school buildings. With each advancing grade level, students are awarded with more freedom(Both in selecting classes and outside of school hours.) One day(Sunday) is given as a relaxation day each week, and the students are allowed off the premises to go to the village.
The Nobles are sons and daughters of the very, very rich, making this a school that's very exclusive and almost impossibly(For an average person)expensive to afford. In return, the school promises to create an exceptionally safe(Via both the highly-trained and paid guards, and the Knights) learning environment that promotes interaction and skills that such future captains of industry would need. While all the classes are available to everyone, the Nobles will only get Nobles as classmates, and so on(The Knights may, in fact, sit in on these classes).
The Middle Class are usually local children who graduated with exceptionally high grades from their schools, and got a scholarship into the academy. The others that make up the Middle Class are rich(But not the super-rich) who can afford at least some of the school's fees and then the sons and daughters of the faculty and staff.
Knights can be selected from the Middle Class, but more often than not they are transferred into the school for the explicit purpose of being a Knight to a specific noble.
What we need are the fleshing out of select places such as 'the Village', the different dorms as they span out across the property, other school owned facilities including parks, waterfalls, sports fields, etc.
I also need help filling in the Rankings with NPC Knights and Nobles for those that aren't being played by RPers as well as RPing other NPCs such as school personnel. Such as, Deans, President, nurse, and a few select teachers. Ranking works as such, each Knight is assigned a rank based on the skills they show through their years in the academy. When a Knight graduates with their Noble (Who MUST be in the same grade), they are removed from the ranking and everyone moves up, another entering on the bottom at 25. Not many freshmen usually end up on the list as there are well over 25 knights in the school, however exceptions exist. Nobles, and Knight with their Nobles permission, are free to challenge other Nobles' Knights, there in starting a duel. The medical facilities of the school are top notch with the latest technology, even able to reattach limbs and implant hearts should they need to. However, there have been times where Knights have died in these fights. The only reprimand the Knight who kills another Knight gets is a mandatory training (week long) with a particularly strict professor, and are not able to enter another duel until the next year. The philosophy is that if a Knight isn't able to protect himself, he wasn't worth the time protecting their noble. (All Knights are required to sign a waiver.) (Knights are all male.)
There is also the small matter of conflict. I have a knight/noble pair in mind for mild shenanigans, but I need a greater conflict of some sort.
That being said, this RP will not focus much on the classes but will focus mainly on the interactions between the students and teachers outside of classes.
