So after watching the newest episode of RWBY I thought it would be interesting to do an RP of the one side we never seen an RP for. The 'bad' guys of RWBY. The gangs, the White Fang, rogue Huntsmen (Which admidtly we haven't seen yet but would be cool to see in RWBY) and all that good untapped stuff!

That's the basic outline of the RP, but I need to know which one people would like more, an AU where the plot of RWBY isn't happening exactly as it is, or an RP happening outside of the plots events? If you have amy questions please ask me!

I like the sound of being a member of the White Fang or a rogue Huntsman that's a cat faunus but a bit more cheery than Blake, as in, not Blake at all.

I forgot to mention what I'd prefer but I'd say an AU where the plot in RWBY canon isn't happening as it is since I'm behind and need to watch Vol. 3.

Well, I'm all over this.

A few questions: can I have my own team? I have an AU that I've been dying to try out that focuses around Vacuo being a desert wasteland filled with crime and all of my characters are wrapped up in it. The story follows them going to Tiki, a school in Vacuo that raises bounty hunters, treasure hunters and so on.

Of course, if you aren't okay with this, I'll totally understand.
I'm still all over this idea no matter what, if you'll have me!

Edit: I love your avatar, OP. Imported Fire Emblem Fates: White Kingdom and it's amazingly fun.

They would be students, ideally. Though I could easily raise their age or whatnot if that's needed.

I'd prefer if everyone wasn't a student and already in a gang of sorts.
Making everyone students will make it feel like a glorified school RP (as if there aren't enough of those already).

Would understand why you'd feel that way. Personally, I only added the school twist as it's usually required in EVERY RWBY ROLEPLAY that has ever existed. I'm perfectly fine with taking it out, quite frankly.

The title of the thread is "Gangs, Renegade Huntsmen, Civil Rights Terrorist and the many Groups of the Criminal Underworld of Remnant", I don't see how a school can fit into that all too well unless we're infiltrating a school. Saying that a RWBY RP absolutely needs to be in a school just seems like lazy writing to me, we know enough about Remnant to the point that we don't have to be stuck into a school setting since its not like school RPs have got beaten to death, resurrected and beaten to death again.

Yup!

I love Qrow and I can't wait to see more of him. I also like the new characters that competed in the Vytal festival like Neon and the NDGO girls. I'm also happy that we get to see more of Emerald Sustrai and her kick-butt moves.

*raises hand* Yeah, the tension between Qrow and Winter makes for a pair of characters that entertain me thoroughly. And Mercury... Well, Merc's awesome, all there is to say there.

Nah, just kidding xD I like Neon as well, but don't know enough about her yet. Qrow seemed bad-ass in his first appearance, but I have the feeling it became a bit less next couple of episodes. However, there is one who will always rule above them all:

Outside of the plot events, have our own thing is what I think is better.

See, the main plot of RWBY isn't finished yet, so we shouldn't follow it in any way other than taking from the world it has created.

It's likely that invented fairy tales for the series, like shown in the current plot with the Seasonal Sisters, that there would be other fairy tales in the world of Remnant that happen to also be true.
