Technically they only saw him get dragged away. It's better than just pretending delta just disappeared, per se. For all they know he is dead, but if Jedly ever wants to come back as delta, he can. Pretty much MIA for now.

Basically what Nyte said Lugu. While Delta's fate is less then bright, I didn't make it explicit that he's dead, just gone. I may resurrect him as an NPC at a later date if it tickles my fancy. The point is to torture Robert anyways, so which ever will make him feel most horrible will be fine with me.

It's starting to look like Sand will have to help Robert get to the fort alive. Might be a bit more complicated now that the rest of the team (or at least Grane) seems ready to bail out on him.

Honestly, Trad is about ready to knock Robert out and drag him with them. He's wounded, acting irrational, and already tried to take on more Grimm than he can handle.

Yeah, in case this isn't obvious, I'm giving y'all the chance to escape and figure out a battle plan to take on the fort, since I even was so merciful as to decrease the amount of Grimm there in order to make things easier for both infiltration and/or assault. If you wanna make a last stand in the forest I can oblige, but I won't be as vague as I was with Delta in regards if you make it out alive or not.

@Awesomoman64 Yeah, I figured he wouldn't just leave him. Only Grane stated where he stood on the matter.

Well, one way or another, most Grimm would be coming from the fort, so if the group wants to get there, they'd need to get past them somehow. Might have a better chance of getting everyone there together if they don't split up. If Robert tries to play bait, the others might get through, but then we have the one wounded guy trying to outrun the pack of evil wolves.

And that is quite exciting, no? The action! The drama! Grane confronting Robert, giving the leader a stern talking to about leadership! Grane revealing his parts of his past and letting Robert's know what he thinks about poor leaders. Sand being strong and independent black woman who don't need no men! Very exciting.

One month into missions, we are. I get the feeling that everyone is making good progress. The two I'm antagonizing are going well, and so is the one Abel's participating in. As enjoyable as missions are, however, we cannot linger forever. I would like everyone to have their missions climax pretty soon (like, within the next two two major posts) and begin the resolution, so we can move on as an RP.

Tbh, a timeskip straight after a set of missions really kills character interaction.

They need a breath of fresh air, some acclimatisation back at the Academy, and more chances of chardev/forming char dynamics with others.

The key, Krayzikk, is smoothness. Timeskips are utterly ubiquitous in shows, RWBY being no exception, but those didn't hurt too badly. They're inevitable and fundamental to keeping things interesting.

<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>

Well, what do you suggest? I'm not sure how many other people are in the same boat as you.

As for a timeskip after missions, it will occur after a brief cooling-down period in which developments can occur. Succinctness will be the key to resolve the aftermath of a mission without holding back players whose missions were less dramatic. And I don't mean dramatic sarcastically, but in the literal sense.

A solution to not getting the time you wanted for stuff within a certain timeframe would be to work on a collab with the team while putting up posts that follow along with current developments, and then when the extra stuff is completed it can be posted with a disclaimer that tells when it actually occurred. This would mean multitasking for those players, though I can't imagine that to be an issue for people whose praiseworthy writing skill leads them to in-depth character development.

As stated numerous times, I want the best time possible for everyone, and while I can make some people wait and make others speed up, I'd prefer we continue moving forward. The solution I mentioned might work for fitting in other stuff retroactively while the main IC pace continues to progress.

For example, we might go through the cooling-off period and then move ahead to an event in a week or two, and during which the players of VNGB can work on
They need a breath of fresh air, some acclimatisation back at the Academy, and more chances of chardev/forming char dynamics with others
which they then post later to fill in a blank, possibly in flashback form.

plus we'll have two characters who haven't had any interaction whatsoever.

This is true. I would be much happier if we did not make Lazo and Chukklehed, the new members of our fabulous HOB family, sit on the sidelines.

Yeah, but you said it yourself; the key is smoothness. Not only is repetitive uses of timeskips not smooth (especially in a written medium, versus a visual one), the use of jump cuts to show everything that isn't relevant to;

-Classes
-Missions
-Combat

Is most definitely not smooth. It'd be like if every quiet scene in the show was handled via a flashback. Actually, that's not even what it'd be like; that's what it is.
