@romanaria If I'm not mistaken, it's likely our characters would know each other if you're playing the Roman Empire. I'm sorry, the Romans didn't get Egypt this time. But I think they were or would become close trade partners? Does that sound right? My Egyptian history is rusty as fuck, haha.

I am totally well up to date on Egyptian history and could teach it at a college level.

@Obscene Symphony xD History doesn't matter here. We can have our characters know each other beforehand, from trade talks or something. Egypt and Rome didn't get along so well but for the sake of the RP I'd imagine we can mess with that.

I was going to keep my Roman Empire confined to modern-day Italy. A mere afterthought of the Empire's former glory.

@Obscene Symphony xD History doesn't matter here. We can have our characters know each other beforehand, from trade talks or something. Egypt and Rome didn't get along so well but for the sake of the RP I'd imagine we can mess with that.

Perhaps our countries wanted to ease their tensions with a merger of sorts? Sounds like reason for a betrothal! Hahaha. I think the GM actually picks the betrothals.

Heh, Britiain would have a drastically different history in this universe, since they wouldn't have conquered a lot of countries. I'm sure that alone is enough to get creative with!

Let's go with simple modern dresses and suits. Really, this could depend on your Kingdom/Empire. If it's more traditional, then the clothing style may or may not be. So on and so forth, if that makes sense.

So what you're telling me... in a roundabout sort of way... is that I can make the Imperial Dynasty of South Canadia? (Not to be confused with the dirty People's Democratic Republic of North Canadia)

Seriously though, I'm guessing that these countires are a full monarchy and don't just have the monarchy as a figurehead?

Full Monarchy, yep. You can't make it the exact same, but go ahead and base the Kingdom/Empire off of it if you do so wish.

All the names when we get done with our characters will be put into a randomizer and then posted on the first official page of the OOC.

Well, if I do do Britain I'm probably going to make it the descendent of my last Crusader Kings 2 dynasty, resulting in a very... Interesting history where the 'Empire of Britannia' basically rules all of the middle east and Britain has an arabian queen at once point because yay genealogy lol. It also owned most of north Africa, chunks of western India, a considerable slice of modern day turkey and in the mid game got control of most of France and half of the Iberian peninsula but I'll cut that bit out because it'd be unreasonably restrictive to people who want to have characters coming from those places. I'd chop out Egypt too since interest was expressed in it, and dial back control of India. Basically, its a history where Britain would end up expanding east ways from the start instead of initially expanding west ways simply by virtue of the Pope giving the King of England the crown of Jerusalem after a crusade.
I think its going to be very interesting, especially since potato might be making a nation which kicked the Brits out of Britain. So basically you would have have a Catholic Arabian Empire calling its self British.

TL;Dr: I want to play a descendent of my old CKII dynasty now that the games reached its end. Crusades and Holy Wars in CKII are broken as fuck and if you are lucky enough to become big, you can go around chewing anyone out whenever an opportunity arises. Then you get bad RNG and end up with an heir with low stewardship and goodbye half the empire lol.

@ayzrules I see no problem in that. For instance, say that the Kingdom was special or something or covered such a wide area that it had to have two royal families to rule it? Something like that?
