Just so I have my timeline straight, aren't all the light-saber forms readily available to the Jedi order during this time, excepting possibly Juyo which was developed during this era (probably later on though).
I also need to sure up and change my backstory, as well as add a rank. I'm thinking Specialist or Corporal, but I'm not sure.
@HeySeuss I was wondering if you had a preference for a "medic" or a tech specialist. If I go tech specialist, I can reasonably tie in some skill as a pilot, as well as kind of fit into the three sentences I call a backstory.
As for the timeline, yes. By this time, the most prevalent lightsaber forms are Soresu (III), Ataru (IV), Shien/Djem So (V) and Niman (VI), all very well-developed. The development of Juyo (VII) had been completed, but it was relatively young. It
was possible to learn it if one had advanced training in multiple other forms, but finding a Master who would be willing to teach it would be difficult.
Makashi (II) was by this time considered out of date, as it focused too heavily on lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat (weak against blasters), BUT there were still those who clung to it as a masterful art (for a later example, see Dooku). In this era, those who wished for a practical offensive form usable against both blasters and lightsabers would usually train in Shien/Djem So or perhaps Niman instead.
Shii-Cho (I) was usually delegated to training form status by this time, though there were always a rare few Shii-Cho masters who were considered incredible duelists for their unpredictability in combat.
(I know you asked HeySuess, but I thought I'd mention that my character is going to be primarily a healer, if that influences your decision to go for medic or techie)
