@Ruby A bit of the point. He's a problem child that shows promise. In my eyes, I see a few Master or teachers arguing his potential and kindness. In his small past, he's done more good than bad.

Seems reasonable to me. He's just a padawan, still has plenty to learn. Javan will take him if Aya won't ;)

Well I really hope you guys have more room since KOTOR was one of my favorite game series (Should've made a 3rd that wasn't online, just saying, and or maybe one that was before the games for what we're doing here, hence another reason I'd love to do this!), but anyway. As for relationships, I'm looking mainly at the three Jedi Knights that have been proposed so far. Would any of them have been educated at the Jedi Tower on Taris, or worked as part of the Exploration Corps? Kona has only been to Coruscant once or twice, and hasn't met that many other Jedi... If anyone would like to have a bit of collaborative backstory, just let me know. Otherwise I'll simply have them all down as "They're Jedi, they must be trustworthy and wise!".

Hm, hadn't thought much about Javan's training. I don't actually know all that much about KOTOR era jedi training.

Well, this particular era (Great Sith War through Mandalorian Wars) is just before the first Jedi Purge. There are a LOT of Jedi in the galaxy right now, and training is a lot more decentralized. There are a great many Jedi Academies and Jedi Temples, and it isn't all centered in the big Temple on Coruscant. There are Jedi who are discovered, initiated and fully Knighted without visiting Coruscant or meeting the High Council even once. There are even lone Masters who find and train Padawans all the way to Knighthood without the benefits of an academy at all.

The Jedi Tower on Taris is just one of many academies (an important one that is occupied and destroyed in the Mandalorian Wars; I chose it for drama).

It's an interesting time, for certain.

Yeah I'm very rusty on the era, and keep on thinking of TOR era things. Have to remind myself that the Jedi haven't recovered Tython yet XD.

@HeySeuss I was wondering if you had a preference for a "medic" or a tech specialist. If I go tech specialist, I can reasonably tie in some skill as a pilot, as well as kind of fit into the three sentences I call a backstory.

I was involved in the first iteration of this RP but unfortunately things got hectic both in my own personal life and with the RPG itself, so I kind of fell off. But with TFA just released and a playthrough of KOTOR II underway my hunger for Star Wars related media is insatiable, so here I am.

If there are any open roles I'd love to fill them in, though I am kind of keen on playing a non-Jedi.

I'm still accepting because, quite frankly, I am busy as hell until the weekend and that is essentially my work schedule at all times. I barely have time in the evenings to work out, get food and plant my ass in bed.

As for the timeline, yes. By this time, the most prevalent lightsaber forms are Soresu (III), Ataru (IV), Shien/Djem So (V) and Niman (VI), all very well-developed. The development of Juyo (VII) had been completed, but it was relatively young. It was possible to learn it if one had advanced training in multiple other forms, but finding a Master who would be willing to teach it would be difficult.

Makashi (II) was by this time considered out of date, as it focused too heavily on lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat (weak against blasters), BUT there were still those who clung to it as a masterful art (for a later example, see Dooku). In this era, those who wished for a practical offensive form usable against both blasters and lightsabers would usually train in Shien/Djem So or perhaps Niman instead.

Shii-Cho (I) was usually delegated to training form status by this time, though there were always a rare few Shii-Cho masters who were considered incredible duelists for their unpredictability in combat.

(I know you asked HeySuess, but I thought I'd mention that my character is going to be primarily a healer, if that influences your decision to go for medic or techie)
