There's certainly a lot of submissions. I'm wondering if it's possible to split the group into smaller ones once we get actually started, if only so it won't turn into a clusterfuck?
Is the game going to close sign ups after starting, or can I join after the IC is made?
Lot of swordsmen holy shit.
NOT NEARLYENOUGHMUSCLEPOWER!!!
Kristof BrandtName: Kristof Brandt
Alias: Strongman
Age: 42
Gender: MANLY MAN
Alignment: MANLY HERO
Appearance:
Kristof is an incredibly well built man of middling years hailing from Germany. Standing quite tall at 6' 8" when compared to that of the average citizen he tends to stand out, even when not clad in uniform. It doesn't help that the man is heavily muscled and prefers to flaunt his physique.
While most people first notice another's eyes in first contact, it is hard to do so with Kristof as they are seemingly always squinted. Instead the most noticeable feature found upon the otherwise bald man's head is a thick, well-groomed mustache that twirls in on itself upon the ends. Slightly less notable are the numerous wrinkled that dominate his age worn visage.
The bulky man is often seen wearing green slacks along with similarly coloured suspenders that wrap around his broad shoulders. He also seems to have a penchant for sporting button-up shirts of light colours that are entirely too tight, whether it be because shirts of the correct size are simply too rare or Kristof enjoys showing off his physique is unknown.
Personality
Kristof is a very patient man with a great deal of interest on the theatrical, this is likely due to a great majority of his life spent as a circus strongman, which he can also thank his well-trained body to. There are very few people that anger or irk the man through incompetence or immaturity, in fact Kristof prefers to share in the naivety and innocence of those redeemable.
Always touting on about reaching perfection in some trait, this large man always forges onward his hardest to push himself beyond the limits of what makes a man a man, and thus encourages all those around him in the same manner. Whether they be underling, equal, superior, or enemy, Kristof wishes only to inspire those around himself that they may one day do the same for others.
Some may say that he is too old to be a hero, he only laughs it off with a hearty smile. Though due to his age, Kristof often finds himself acting fatherly, even to those far more powerful than he, occasionally landing him in hot water. Not to mention the mishaps through his straightforward attitude and honest nature.
Kristof's traits are of staunch manliness and perseverance, to see a better tomorrow and brighter future for all things. Deeply ingrained within the man is a love for all creatures, whether they be beast or bird, man or monster. Things are not nearly so black and white to Kristof as they are to many others of the land.
His heart is warm, his demeanor inviting, Kristof is a difficult man to anger and one of surprising tranquility. On top of which he is honest to a fault, finding it nearly impossible to hide anything through his very transparent feelings. Many say that he is far too soft, and perhaps it is true. But someone has to desire peace, no?
Powers:
Kristof's strength is, well, his *strength!* The man excels in physicality, and is extremely durable to boot thanks to the immense amount of time he spend perfectly sculpting his body. Just the same, he holds a large well of stamina to draw upon that outlasts most other living beings. Not to mention the grand machismo, the manliness, the moostache, the muscles! This mighty man oozes what it truly means to be a man in one's own right.
Kristof would argue that his truest and greatest strength is his unconditional ability to sympathize and care for others, even those deemed as his enemies. However rare, his ire is to be feared to which only the truly evil are deserving of.
Weapons: Muscles, Manliness, Mustache.
Fighting Style: With heavy-handed strikes and mighty grapples he battles, able to burst of in short bolts of speed through his toned physique, he tends to subdue targets through moves more akin to a wrestler.
Signature Moves: THE MIGHTY SUPLEX! THERE NEED NOT BE ANY OTHERS!
History:
Kristof Brandt was born in Germany into a family of circus performers, where many of his ideals came to fruition. Traveling around constantly, across plains and seas to far away lands the man learned of many cultures and traditions. And while there are many societies that differ from others, there was one thing that he would always find during his performances of daring feats of strength. All people have a certain love of life, even in dire circumstances. Through such, he himself truly realized that all there was to life was to love and be loved. To find peace within the world and within one's self.
Most of the man's life was spent honing his body and soul to their maximum potential, strength and spirit drove him onward. Where other men would give up, Kristof would stand strong as a mighty pillar of morals, a code unbreakable by the most devilish of corruption. However, such innocence is easily eroded by a steady stream.
As time sailed ever forwards, Kristof eventually desired a home, a place to settle rather than the fleeting life of travel of tricks that had held him close for so long. And thus, after his final performance in the streets of Megatropolis, he decided immediately not to go very far from such an atmosphere of energy. Unknowing of the path that it would eventually lead him down.
The years soon after had taught him things of humanity that he had never learned in his life of travel. Learning of the creatures and villains that had risen up to threaten the city, and their apparent place within society. Through first hand experience of the way that these clashing groups treated one another, and occasionally even themselves. Kristof was determined to forge peace within this world.
He currently resides in an out-of-the-way-far-too-small apartment in district-E
Skills: In his spare time, the strongman enjoys light-hearted gardening.
Weaknesses: Due to his body's bulky nature he is not the most maneuverable of heroes. While not necessarily slow on his feet, many opponents who are more swift would find it easier to deal with him. As well as those immume or much more resistant to physical attacks.
Nemesis: THAT WHICH IS NOT MANLY!
Story Arc Ideas:

Name:
Levi Raven Lynn
Alias:
Static or Raven
Age:
20
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Neutral - More Anti-hero than anything.
Appearance:
Levi stands at about the average height for his age. He has a striking accent, but not many people know off since he tries to seldom speak. The most unique and odd feature of Levi is his striking amber-yellow eyes as if they could see right through your psyche. He also has raven-black hair that makes him somewhat stand out. If you remove his mask, there are many scars eskewn on his jawline. Despite this, his looks seem to attract alot of women, particularly because of his eye color, but also because of his 'good looks.'
He tends to wear dark clothing, with a bit of white underneath everything.
His most distinct feature that people would notice is his peculiar gas mask, which doesn't even follow the traditional gas mask as it's somewhat sliced in half and only covers the lower part of his face. This odd gas mask works just like a normal gas mask, filtering out gases and the like. Said mask has scratches all over, and is also a matches the black theme of his 'hero' outfit.
Personality
Levi, by definition, is damaged. He has a cynical outlook on life and always believe that someone- even heroes, have an agenda. In fact he thinks that heroes are as much of a plague as villains as they have some sort of hidden meaning to their 'good doings.' This mean he has disdain for most- if not all, heroes.
He prefers to work alone, and if needed will work with others to achieve a goal, albeit begrudgingly. His disdain for life also extends to himself, he loathes himself more than anything. He blames himself for everything wrong that goes wrong for if he's out doing something.
He values people who he himself deems as incorruptible, but this is seldom and far in between. Levi believes that there are a few actual 'good' people on this earth. Because of this trait of his, he hasn't delved into the realm of villains. He's not above helping people, and will try to help them silently if there are no heroes around to help them.
As for his battle sense, he is a gifted tactician and strategist, able to make a plan when fighting enemies and tries to identify their weaknesses. He never underestimates his enemy, as he is unconsciously humble and believes that even the most mundane and normal person can beat and surpass the strongest hero. Because of this he trains tenaciously and always believes that he will never outdo his inadequate skill.
When you become acquainted with him, it's difficult to crack his shell, but underneath he is somewhat nice, as taught by his sister, and always help others out. Another reason he hasn't become a psychopath, the light that was his sister.
Powers:
Electricity Manipulation, also his lightning is a dark amber-yellow, like his eyes.
Weapons:
Two Kukris- Silver and Aegis.
Small concealed knives around his body.
Fighting Style:
His fighting style mainly consists of speed and agility. He uses his electricity to augment his speed and to imbue his Kukris and anything else with electricity. He is methodical and technical rather than brute and raw strength.
Signature Moves:
Static aura:
Lightning cascades and crackles around Levi, giving him an intimidating air/aura. It can also be directed towards enemies or objects. Levi tends to unconsciously keep this 'move' on, especially when he's wearing the mask.
Imbue:
While not a move per se, he tends to imbue the weapon(s) he uses with electricity, that makes them solidify and harder to break, while also giving a numbing feeling of electricity jolting through you.
Lightning's indignation:
He pulses electricity through his right hands and slams the ground, breaking said ground and lightning travelling through the floors in a cone infront of Levi.
Thunder's gait:
Each of Levi's step is augmented with Lightning, allowing him to travel great distances easily. His speed is augmented as well, allowing him to fight toe-to-toe with the fastest combatants Megatropolis's finest speed-freaks.
History:
Levi was born to two non-descript parents, whom he never really had known as they died of unknown causes when Levi was only a few years of age. The only figure he knew of, and loved is his siter, Jaine Lynn. She was the one who practically raised Levi, because of this, he has had a never ending adoration for her. They lived a hard life but they never really detested his position, instead humbly accepting it. His sister took many jobs to try and make money so that they can get through the day, Levi soon took jobs when he was legally possible to.
Until that happened. At the ripe age of 12. The day was cloudy and cold, out of the norm as the day was warm and sunny. Levi was walking to his new found job- a simple dishwasher at some restaurant. As the air grew colder, the light turned to darkness. Levi had been knocked out and then dragged into a van by dark clothed individuals and drove away.
By the time Levi came to he was on a metal table. He had a gag on and he was tightly strapped against the cold, metallic table. He was in a dark room, the only lights coming from the two lamps above him. Doctors with masks and glasses that glistened against the light, preventing Levi from seeing their eyes, were all around him, silently whispering amongst themselves while writing things on their clipboards.
What looks to be the head scientist walked up to him, "Hello subject 627, you will be our human test subject for Project E.H.L.M." the doctor said, a frigid and aloof voice, "I see that look in your eyes, but you will thank us for gifting you the next evolution of mankind, infact you should be grateful."
After that, Levi became privy to days upon days of 'tests.' They ran lightning and electricity through his body each day, all the sessions taking many hours. His screams echoed throughout the dark room. It seemed like the room was sound proof- otherwise someone would have heard his agonized and bloodcurdling screams. The tests would stop a few times, and he was allowed to catch his breath for give minutes. After each day, he was escorted by stoic people in uniforms to his cell. They would throw food in there, which Levi would scramble to it.
After a few months, they would find little to no result in Levi's 'tests', he would have not been able to manipulate electricity as they expected. This had made the tests three times worst than before, and when even that didn't work, push came to shove. Soon after, he opened his eyes after hours of tests, and he found his sister standing infront of him, her eyes filled with fear and worry. Levi tried to scream but it was all for naught as it was muffled. They began torturing his sister infront of him, in an attempt to stimulate something within him. Through eye filled tears he tried to struggle free. The restraints were too tight, but he struggled anyway, the restraints now lightly tearing his skins.
His struggles were cut short, as his sister's body fell to the floor, blood budding all around her. Levi stood there shocked, and something in his eyes snapped. His eyes glowed yellow, and electricity began to dance around his body. The scientists were all overjoyed, but they did not expect his power to be that strong. The lightning had burnt the restraints off, and with tears dripping out of his eyes, lightning crackling strongly around him, he released an outburst of lightning that reached and touched all the surrounding people around him. Their bodies soon dropped, and their eyes into the back of their heads.
The head scientist cowered in a corner, Levi turned his head slightly towards him as he was turned around. His scowl deepening, as lightning silently sizzled around him. He started walking towards him, his eyes wreathing with anger and pure rage. He stepped infront of the cowering scientist, "We- We made you, the next iteration of humanity!" he said, shaking in genuine fear, "Don't- Don't kill me, I- I CREATED YOU, YOU MONSTER." Levi silently watched him tremble in fear, he raised his hands and made lightning run through it. He stabbed the scientist through his chest, instantly killing him.
He promptly went infront of his dead sisters body, not even being able to hear her final words. He dropped down and began softly sobbing on her body.
After many hours of sobbing, he began loathing himself- not being powerful enough and warranting his sister's death. He got up, and carried her body outside. After making a ways away, he made a grave for her. To which he visits alot.
Now his mission is to find who was in charge of this 'project' and get vengeance. Now he lives in District E of Megatropolis city, as he had found a lead.
Skills:
Likes reading and cooking in his spare time, as he has to feed himself.
He is also a master of gathering information and 'extracting' them out of key people, albeit, painfully.
Weaknesses:
Water can short circuit his powers, he is also not the 'tanky', meaning he can't handle hits as good as much as other strength based heroes can, but he can take a few.
Because most of his skills are oriented towards speed, he lacks in the other areas, but tries and makes up for it in training.
Nemesis:

Story Arc Ideas:

Heyo, thought I'd make a character! Also, I've got a question about what year this RP is set in. The city was built in 19105. Was that a typo, or are we 17,000 years into the future?
Name: John Pierrot
Alias: Red-Hand John
Age: 286 years
Gender: Man
Alignment: Villain
Personality: John is cocksure, arrogant, and excessively violent. Any matters not directly related to his current goals are of no interest to him, and he will respond to any stopgaps in his plans with bloody retribution. The Black Map: The Black Map is a set of directions that will lead to where the great pirate Captain Flint has been imprisoned. The Black Map has been split into pieces and hidden in and on five immensely valuable treasures scattered across the world. Exactly which treasures contain pieces to the Black Map changes almost daily.
Flint's Compass: A valuable tool that previously helped Flint pick his targets, Flint's Compass points to the nearest piece of the Black Map. Flint's Compass is built into the guard of the Red Stinger, his mighty cutlass.
The Albatross: Red-Hand John's very own pirate ship. The Albatross is a first-class ship of the line enchanted with a battery of exotic and dangerous magics. The Albatross is capable of flight, and travels between worlds, allowing it to traverse vast distances in seconds. With sixty-four magical cannons and a crew of loyal buccaneers, The Albatross is easily capable of aiding John in a fight. John's arrogance keeps him from relying on The Albatross's armaments, and generally only uses it to move from place to place and call in Ship's Mates. The Albatross's sails are always full, and its food and rum stores are always full.
Ship's Mates: Red-Hand John's crew of monsters will follow him to hell and back, and many of them have in fact done this already. At John's word, one of the monsters crewing The Albatross will leap down and fight for him. John's mates are dangerous in their own right, and come in all shapes and sizes. For some dramatic reason, John refuses to ever call down more than one mate, and won't even fight alongside them. The Albatross can hold exactly forty-seven mates at any time. John affectionately refers to his mates as "Monsters of the Week", and takes an unusual pleasure in ensuring that each of them have a uniquely obnoxious gimmick of their own.
Lubbers: Separate from the Ship's Mates are the Lubbers, a self-replenishing army of low-quality fodder. Formed from coins and sent out by the squad, John has absolutely no compunction against having bunches of Lubbers accompany him and his Mates whenever possible. Every Lubber is slightly weaker than a normal human and wields whatever he can get his hands on. Faceless, nameless, and shiftless, the Lubbers are almost entirely useless except for distracting enemies and performing gruntwork. Lubbers speak in nothing but shrill cries and screams.
More valuable coins create more powerful Lubbers. John's prefers to use 50-yen coins and American quarters.Red Stinger: An antique cutlass enchanted by Captain Flint himself, the Red Stinger can penetrate any barrier as effectively as a chilling wind through bare skin. The Red Stinger is useless for stabbing, and so John can only cut deep gashes in his targets' armor, instead of piercing straight through it. Repeated strikes will logically cut deeper through his enemies' armor. The Red Stinger is intrinsically linked to John's existence, and will immediately teleport John to its location if lost.
Sting Jet: The Red Stinger can project intense gusts of wind either away from or towards where its blade is pointing. The gales produced by the Red Stinger are strong enough to knock people off their feet and can be controlled enough to drag priceless treasures into John's hands.
The Black Spot: Less of a weapon and more of a tool, the Black Spot is both John's calling card and primary mode of entry. If John touches a lock, any lock, with his off-hand palm, it will rapidly decay into uselessness. John will then be able to open the now-defenseless opening at his leisure. The Black Spot only works on locking mechanisms and enchantments he can reach.
Fighting Style: John prefers to fight with as much brute force as possible. With wicked chopping motions and veritable gales of wind, there is very little room for finesse in a fight against him.Know Where Your Sword Be: John abuses his linkage to the Red Stinger, and throws it. Wherever the sword lands, John will appear there. This allows him to evade dangerous obstacles and gain the upper hand in combat fairly easily.
Come About!: An advanced technique taking advantage of the circular quality of wind in an enclosed area. As the wind produced by Sting Jet has nowhere to go, it is deflected by the room's walls and wraps around the room instead. While John has had plenty of practice to deal with the sudden gales blasting around the room, his opponents generally will not.
Full Broadside!: John can order a full battery of shots from The Albatross, delivering a veritable tempest of hot death. John dislikes using The Albatross in combat, but will force himself to put it to good use if the situation demands it.
History: John Pierrot was born and raised in the golden age of piracy, and found himself hired on as a sailor after a squalid childhood. The captain he served under was an incompetent drunk, and was a burden on the entire ship's crew. When a ship full of filthy pirates intercepted John's ship, it didn't take very long for the battle to fall out of his favor. In short order, John was beaten, kidnapped, and recruited into the pirates' crew. The pirate captain, a legendary figure known only as Captain Flint, seemed to resonate with an unnatural power, and granted it to his underlings astonishingly casually. For his devotion to his Captain, John was granted the gift of immortality, linked to his enchanted cutlass. So long as even a shard of the cutlass survived, John would never be felled.
As Captain Flint's crew grew in wealth, so too did they grow in power and infamy. Within the year, Captain Flint was the deadliest pirate on the high seas, and had plundered the world's greatest treasures. It was only due to an unlikely alliance between the world's greatest heroes that Captain Flint and his crew were brought down and sealed in an enchanted prison at the bottom of the sea.
By some miracle, John Pierrot was the only man in Flint's crew to have escaped imprisonment. With no small amount of effort, John Pierrot swam back to the Old World and went into hiding. John waited for the world to forget about the terror of the seven seas, gathering up a new crew and reclaiming his Captain's old treasures in the mean time.
Some centuries later, John Pierrot has discovered one of the Old World's most dangerous secrets: there is a way to open Captain Flint's prison. The process for doing so has been carefully written down and split across the old world's governments, just in case mankind was so threatened that a world with Captain Flint free and able was preferable to a world without. With his crew at his side and a quest in his eye, John set off on a whirlwind tour, plundering and robbing anything that his compass pointed to. Any day now, he'd unlock Captain Flint's prison and unleash the Old Pirate King into the world. The New Golden Age of Piracy awaits.
Skills: John understands French, German, English, Spanish, all Slavic languages, and Hungarian.
John is a master shipwright and coxswain... exclusively for ships circa 1730.
John fully understands the language of Semaphore and has managed to grasp the basics of morse code.
Weaknesses: John has very little staying power at range, and has an unbreakable habit of leaving a Mate to handle his enemies after only a few seconds of combat. John is also compelled to state his motives and plans whenever he is confronted.
Nemesis: All of John's long-term nemeses have long since died.
Story Arc Ideas: By sheer chance, the most recent five recipients of the Black Map are situated in the same city! Can the heroes stop John's attempted plundering before he learns how to bring back the King of all Pirates and usher in an age of anarchy?
Other: Though John is functionally immortal, it takes him time to heal his wounds. Permanent damage takes around a week to heal. Also, he's a tokusatsu villain.
Name:
Yamato Tanaka
Alias:
Beastmaster of Despair
Age:
21
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Hero
Appearance:
“Truly I am mankind's natural foe! Evil incarnate! A walking cataclysm! A shapeless insanity! The Beastmaster of DESPAIR!”
Personality
Personality: Yamato speaks in grand gestures and overblown histrionics, making his every word brim larger than life. He also treats even mundane people and events immensely significant and special, embellishing them and adding his own perceived reality upon them. He considers himself to be quite a ladies-man, though his disjointed perception from reality pushes away anyone he puts his moves on. Though he constantly proclaims himself to be evil and attempting to take over the world, it is a fake persona for his true nature of being kind and caring, especially to his pets whom he treasures, and animals in general due to being an animal breeder.
Powers:
-The Four Dark Devas of Destruction: Yamato's scarf is home to four hamsters who are Yamato's primary means of combating his enemies. They are loyal to him, and come to his aid when called upon. Yamato can use his power as Beastmaster Overlord to awaken all of their true forms, turning them into fearsome creatures of great power, until they revert back when beaten or commanded by Yamato. They include the following members:
*Cham-P: The hamster that fits inside Yamato’s scarf easily despite his large size. His awakened form is Invading Black Dragon, a mythic creature of legendary origin only bested in sheer strength by Maga-Z. He is able to fly using scaly wings and breathe green fire. Yamato rides on his back when he enters combat, as befits an Overlord.
*San-D: The hamster that always looks like she’s having fun. Her awakened form is Star-Destroyer Grey Fox. She is the swiftest of the four, able to run at the speed of light despite being the size of a motorcycle, leaving only trails of white light from her glowing fangs. Yamato may ride on her for lightning-fast travel.
*Jan-P: The hamster that’s always taking a nap in a precarious place. His awakened form is Mirage Silver Falcon, an avian predator the size of an aeroplane that soars through the skies. His glistening wings mesmerize, confuse, and can even put to sleep any weak-willed being who looks at them. His feathers can also turn light-refractive, turning him and his rider completely invisible and making him perfect for Yamato to ride on if he needs to travel undetected.
*Maga-Z: The hamster that has a torn ear that makes him look tough. His awakened form is Crimson Steel Elephant, the slowest, but also the most powerful of the Devas, able to sunder the earth with his stomps, crush buildings with his imposing frame and pierce through anything with his adamantium tusks. His trunk can also constrict and crush bones, and his diamond-hard skin is virtually impenetrable. He is often mistaken for one of the monsters that attack the city.
Weapons:
Yamato wields no weapons, for he fully believes in the power of his Four Dark Devas of Destruction.
Fighting Style:
Yamato directs his beloved pet hamsters against his enemies while riding one of them as a mount, often hanging back and watching the ensuing carnage. He is also versed in the use of a couple of forbidden arts.
Signature Moves:
-The Evil Eye: Yamato has a magical eye that allows him to see a far distance, through walls, illusion magic and trickery and hypnotize animals and make them do his bidding. Yamato can also use it to see his opponent's moves before they are done, but continuous use of the power drains him. He also can't avoid moves he physically can't dodge, such as bullets and sound-speed attacks.
-Infinity Unlimited Flame: A dangerous power Yamato only uses as a last resort or in dire circumstances: he releases the magical bindings of his sinister arm, and unleashes an ever-consuming blaze from his cursed palm. The fire replicates through oxygen alone, spreading into the air and to every surface like a wildfire from a nightmare until Yamato stops the spell, is knocked unconscious, or the world has burned to ashes.
History:
Yamato is a Beastmaster, a member of a clan of animal breeders that hide themselves from society and practice the forbidden art of "Awakening", a technique that releases the unbound energy of animals and turns them into Yokai-like entities. Only the greatest Beastmasters, who are titled Overlords, can master the art and have complete control over the awakened beasts. After Yamato gained the title of Overlord he set out with his four trusted companions and use his skills to protect the natural order of the world, and stands vigilantly in watch over the city.
Skills:
Yamato is the Ultimate Breeder, and thus knows all there is to know about animal breeding and handling. He always has a bag of seeds ready to use, and he can imitate animal and bird calls fluently.
Weaknesses:
The Four Dark Devas of Destruction turn back into hamsters when Yamato is rendered unconscious or otherwise disabled. He himself has no ability for close quarters combat, and can be easily taken out by a persistent enemy.
Nemesis:
(There is an original character I can provide as a nemesis to Yamato if requested.)
Story Arc Ideas:
-Him meeting his nemesis, see above
Other:
Yamato's blood type is B.
Also, I'm okay with Etherpad or Discord.
White Knight
Name
Real name Unknown
Alias
White Knight
Age
Unknown
Gender
Male
Alignment
Hero
Personality
Silent, serious and benevolent. He rarely speaks, only when he has something to say, preferring to let his deeds speak for himself. He is dedicated to protecting the innocent, showing kindness and compassion to ordinary people while displaying absolutely no sign of mercy to monsters and villains. In general, he sees other heroes as compatriots yet this opinion can and will shift depending on the hero itself. He is a man of honor, showing respect where it is due and always welcoming a challenge. He is confident in his skills but does not flaunt or brag, again letting his deeds speak for himself.
Powers
Surreal speed, strength and endurance as well as heighten senses are his core abilities, combined with his skills in hand-to-hand combat and his swordsmanship, he is a formidable opponent. His ironclad discipline has also strengthen his mind, allowing him to concentrate even in stressful situations and making him virtually immune to mental manipulation.
KI
His training has granted him the ability to influence his KI, allowing a great increase of either strength, speed or endurance. These influences are most apparent when using his Signature Moves. This also allows him to ‘sense’ the presence of others around him, or at a large distance provided he can properly concentrate.
Weapons
Ookami-Ken (Wolfblade)
A larger than average dai-katana with a precious blue gemstone stored in the pommel. It’s exact properties remain a mystery yet it is known to be virtually indestructible and can cut through even the hardest of materials. While he himself appears to wield this weapon like any other, there are records showing that anyone else has trouble even lifting it, no matter their physical strength.
Fighting Style
He is a master swordsman, exceling in fighting in a variety of styles and techniques, mostly inspired by the Japanese samurai yet has been known to also excel at hand-to-hand combat, even combining the two arts. He is a keen observer, adapting in battle as the situation demands it.
Signature Moves
Genzoo (Phantom)
Focusing his KI, he can achieve a short burst of impossible speed. He usually does this when facing a particularly powerful incoming attack. The attack will appear to hit but rather than connect it will simply pass through him, striking nothing but an afterimage and leaving the opponent open for a counterattack.
Ten no Ikari (Heaven’s Wrath)
Focusing his KI, he can deliver a singular forward slash with devastating force behind it, causing a shockwave to be unleashed in the direction of the attack. Alternatively, he can deliver a powerful punch or kick with the same amount of force, while doing so will not unleash any shockwaves, it is known to be capable of demolishing a building or send not particularly large foes flying though the air.
Mugen (Infinity)
Focusing his KI, he can force deep wounds to close, bleeding to stop and stamina to recover. It is also possible to mend broken bones with this technique, provided he spends sufficient time meditating and concentrating for this exact purpose.
History
No not much is known of the mysterious hero. The earliest record of him dates roughly 50 years ago, when the D-District of Megatropolis was being attacked by what appeared to be a small army of sea creatures. People report that an unknown swordsman in an odd getup was seen fighting and slaying these creatures one after another until the gross majority were dead while the rest simply fled back into the sea. Since then, there have been plenty of similar reports from all districts. A swordsman clad in white, wandering the streets and dispersing justice, protecting the innocent, defeating villains, slaying monsters and even doing mundane acts of kindness such as rescuing kittens from trees.
It has been noted that he rarely if ever speaks and people who actually heard him say that he sounds rather frightening (which has led to the assumption that this is the reason for his silence). The “White Knight”, as people started to call him, can often be seen wandering through the districts of Megatropolis to this day, seeking monsters and villains to battle and people to save.
Needless to say, his deeds have caught the people’s attention, many being grateful for his protection and even forming fan-clubs, yet the hero himself appears to be rather disinterested in such forms of adulation. When not fighting or wandering around, he has been seen siting atop of high places and painting the scenic view, almost always simply leaving his artwork behind for anyone to find and claim. Nothing else is known about him and not all seem to accept him, plenty of people distrust him for the sole fact that they doubt him being human, find his appearance and eerie silence suspicious and claim that all his deeds are merely an act, biding his time and ‘preparing the scene’ for something sinister.
The latest reports, indicate that he has been recently seen in B-District.
Skills
He is a rather skilled artist. He can draw, paint, sculpt and write poetry in calligraphy. While nothing amazing, he also no stranger to technology.
Weaknesses
He is a jack-of-all trades when it comes to strength, speed and endurance but is a master in none. Heroes/Villains/Monsters specialized in those areas can easily overpower him in either one.
He is more orientated to offense while his defense is rather lacking.
While impressive, his stamina does not last indefinitely.
Nemesis
Anyone and anything who would do harm to an innocent.

'Touch that kid and it's life long detention for you, buddy. Meet me at Hell's gate at 4 PM this afternoon, we clear?'
Name:
Masako Mizushima
Alias:
Hero Name: Principal Scarlett
Other: Mount Masako (by former classmates)
Age:
22
Gender:
A girl because girl power
Alignment:
i wanna bE A SAIKYOU HERO
Appearance:
Aside from her skyscraper height (around 178 cm approx which is pretty tall for us Asians), there isn't much to Masako. Her mid-length hair is black with bangs at the front and her eyes are a dark purple. Although she's normally seen in a short sleeved, collared shirt, her appearance changes once she goes full on superhero-sensei on those troublesome foes. Masako dons a tailored black suit, red heels and glasses (because I seem to have a strange attraction to meganes and the colour red), and her hair is secured into a tight bun along with red lipstick on them fabulous lips. She's been noted to be reasonably attractive by some, but Masako seems to gain much more 'recognition' when she's out kicking butt in her superhero-sensei clothing. Due to her physical prowess, Masako retains a fit, slightly toned body under that suit and tie.
Personality:
Masako is one of those people you'd never want to get on the wrong side of. Like, the very wrong side. With a no-nonsense and brutally honest attitude, this woman always seems to give off a bad, stay-the-hell-away-from-me impression. She usually comes off as a bit quiet and aloof in the eyes of passersby, but beyond the shop doors of the florists she works for, her short tempered and impatient nature seems to always get the best of her. Even when she's kicking ass out on the streets her hot headedness is still very present.
However, underneath all that hot headedness is a woman who cares deeply for other people. Okay, a majority of people, but the bond she shares with her older sister is unbreakable. She dislikes it when people get hurt for absolutely no reason, and she's not willing to back down when the lives of the innocent are threatened. Masako is also seen to be a bit self-conscious about her immense strength and towering height, although only a small proportion of her her family know the full extent of this.
Masako doesn't mind making a grand entrance either. Usually a stomp of her heel and the slight push of her glasses for the extra nerdy glint effect puts a confident smirk on her face.
(And maybe a blinding light flashing in the background because Satsuki Kiryūin is the ultimate gangsta)
Powers:
• Sort of magical girl transformation sequence: Since magical girls have become pretty big in the past few decades, scientists have begun to research the exact cause of these transformations. And thus, (for convenient plot reasons) the first artificial magical girl transformation gadget/trigger thing was developed. Once Masako's tie is loosened, the pwetty sparkly magic girl sequence begins.
• Enhanced strength: For some odd reason, Masako was born with strength that surpasses the average human being. She's capable of lifting things many times her own weight and her kicks are something to be feared (as seen when she kicked a car a few metres away with ease in the past).
• Increased Durability: Masako is shown to be quite resistant to physical attacks. While she can still be severely wounded, a normal person's punch wouldn't really have much of an effect.
• Increased stamina: Along with her enhanced strength, Masako is shown to have above average amounts of stamina.
Weapons:
• Glasses: In combat, these glasses can be used to see much farther distances. It helps Masako see far better as well (her eyesight isn't really the best).
• Suit: Durable and strong, this suit shows some resistance against the RAGING FLAMES OF HELL. Okay, maybe just normal flames, but you get the point. Also, touch the fucking suit and this principal gonna put you in a life long detention. We clear?
dun touch de suit.
• Tie: Once the tie is pulled away from thy fabulous suit, it can be extended and used as a whip. Pretty good for long distance attacks.
• Heels: One strong kick while wearing these can cause quite severe injuries. C'mon, they're heels. These heels also allow Masako to jump higher than the average person.
Fighting Style:
With her enhanced strength, Masako is already quite formidable in hand-to-hand combat. She actually prefers to use strong kicks in her fighting style because, well, heels (and kicks do look pretty awesome if you don't end up getting them twisted in the process).
Signature Moves:
The power of fwendshiep
History:was a delinquent. Plain and simple. All that teasing about her height and her ability to lift a fridge with one hand was a bit much for the thirteen-year-old girl to handle. Getting into fights and heated arguments were the norm at her middle school, and God knows how many times her parents had to persuade the school to keep her in. Pretty rough times, especially considering her mother was currently working as a teacher over there. Masako's short temper was known throughout the entire school, earning her the nickname 'Mount Masako' (as she was taller than average and had an explosive temper similar to that of a volcano).
Some time later, Masako's mother took some time to talk with her. She knew her daughter wasn't the type to go around wreaking havoc for no reason, so there had to be something going on. Of course, it wasn't easy, but eventually she got through. Height problems, outrages, her unusual amounts of physical strength, the lot. All in all, the two were happy that their feelings had reached each other, and Masako had sworn to try and control herself more often.
Only a few months later, it happened. A part of the peaceful C-District was suddenly attacked, the destruction causing Masako's school to go up on flames. Luckily, everyone had made it out without a scratch, only to see a monster causing chaos on the vast number civilians living there. Having been a former hero in her earlier years, Masako's mother took action. But, well before she did all the glorious ass kicking, the woman entrusted her with the all important tie she would always wear to school. It was all pretty sudden, but knowing she wasn't as strong as she had been, there was no guarantee Masako's mother would come back alive. Putting it in the most simple terms, Masako's mother taught her how to use it. Just so, you know, her daughter doesn't get her butt smashed into the ground either. Obviously, Masako would question why exactly her mother would go out and try to beat the monster down. With a smile, Mikoto Mizushima's words were,
"A teacher's duty is to protect her students, to guide them along the path of life so they are able to reach the endless potential I see ahead of them. If these children are to die, then what sort of teacher am I? If these innocent civilians are to die, then what sort of hero am I? If the people I hold dearest to me are to die… then what sort of person am I? Remember Masako, that tie isn't just for show… I'm lending this to you so you are able to change this world, and maybe, even yourself. So please, use it with care."
And so Principal Scarlett's runtime came to an end.
Having lost her mother, Masako was down in the dumps for quite a while. Like the others, she grew up, went through her generic school dilemmas and studied to get into college. Somehow, she managed to pull through thanks to her older sister, who had supported her through dark times. It was about time Masako balanced herself on her own to feet and start crushing foes like her mother had done, being the only one who had been born with the same superhuman strength she had possessed. She wasn't going to let her mother's wishes go flying over her head. Sure, it would take some time to get used to fighting in a suit and freaking heels, but it was all for the best. To be fair, defeating monsters and villains sounded pretty fun in Masako's ears.
And so the new Principal Scarlett had risen from beyond the grave. Sort of.
Skills:
• Expert at running in heels
• Chugging milk because why the hell not
• Driving because everyone needs that one badass driver who jumps off cliffs and stuff
Weaknesses:
Personality wise, being the hot headed heroine has its downfalls. It isn't unusual to see Masako act recklessly in certain situations, and her short temper does overshadow her logic sometimes. Physically, Masako is just like every other human being; her stamina and power still have a limit. The more tired she gets, the weaker her attacks become. Let's just say Masako isn't the brightest of the bunch either…

"Fear is just a lack of confidence."
Name: Nadia Penn
Alias: Collider
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Alignment: Hero
Standing at 5'7" and weighing 136 pounds, Nadia's frame is one belonging to a young woman who has put a lot of time toward physical training. With light brown hair and green eyes, the girl is seldom seen without her trusty weapon somewhere on her person. Most commonly, it is holstered at her hip. While her expression can be very serious in combat, it is usually much lighter and friendlier when not in the heat of battle.
Personality The first thing one would notice Nadia is the complete lack of fear on her part. No matter the odds or situation, she simply refuses to be afraid of anything (or so she'd want you to think). While this can make her reckless, what she lacks in fear she makes up for in confidence. There are probably few as certain of themselves and their capabilities as Nadia. To make this confidence even better (or worse, depending on how you look at it), Nadia is stubborn as a rock. Giving up is just something she doesn't do.
With all this said, even Nadia isn't completely without fear. Since the day she was born, she's been afraid of the dark. Not because of the lack of vision, but that doesn't help much. She's more afraid of what might be in the dark when nobody can't see it. Her vivid imagination hasn't made this any easier to manage. She reacts to fear with violence, even more so than how she reacts to evil. Speaking of beating up bad guys, Nadia has sworn never to take a life unless there is absolutely no other way. This doesn't mean she has any respect for lawbreakers, though; quite the opposite. While she hopes they can redeem themselves, Nadia hosts very harsh opinions about villains and thugs alike.
Of course, even heroes have some down time. With hers, Nadia is actually a very casual person who would be perfectly happy just sitting down somewhere and having a drink. She gets that not all the time is business time, and tries to enjoy herself to the fullest between hero jobs, as it's pretty tough work. Her sense of enjoyment is a very relaxed one. Sit down, grab some snacks, maybe watch a funny movie, and just let the hours tick by until it's time to work again. She'd be more than happy to have someone join her as well.
Powers: Typically, when two objects collide, some of the kinetic energy is converted into other forms of energy. Two examples include the sound made when clapping your hands, or a dent made in a car during a crash. Nadia's ability, however, prevents this, causing the full force of the collision to occur without her side being damaged. Aside from making Nadia herself virtually indestructible, this enables her to bypass the body's built-in limiters and use 100% of her power without fear of tearing muscles or breaking bones. As a result, she's far faster and stronger than her otherwise-normal appearance would suggest. It's also possible to extend these properties to an object she makes physical contact with.
While this ability does prevent damage, however, it does not prevent the collision itself. Rather, due to all of the kinetic energy being maintained in the collision, Nadia will get knocked even further than she otherwise would while this is active. Additionally, since this ability involves some pretty advanced science shit, it takes quite a bit of calculation to use, making it hard to use for extended periods of time.
Weapons: Nadia uses a sakabato; a katana forged with the cutting blade on the inwardly-curved side of the sword, rather than the usual katana having the blade on the outward side. Because her power can reinforce objects with similar properties to herself, the sheath is also a viable weapon in combat.
Fighting Style: Ideally, Nadia likes to end fights in one strike. Of course, she's seldom so lucky. Typical Nadia combat involves striking with the sakabato while using the sheath to parry attacks. If she has decided the only way to stop a villain is by killing them, Nadia will holster the sheath to her hip and turn her sword around, devoting both her hands to pure offense.
Signature Moves: Vault Strike: The only really special move Nadia has ever thought up. Nadia slams her sheath into the ground, sending her high into the air. From there, she uses a combination of momentum and raw strength to land one massive aerial attack with both the sakabato and the sheath.Born in a rural town far from Megatropolis, Nadia Penn was the child of a simple mailman and his simple lawyer wife. She lived a simple life, in a simple town, with simple friends and simple foes. She had a pretty notable taste for the cultures of the Far East, but more on that later. One very popular game with Nadia and her friends was that they would play heroes & villains. Nadia was always the hero, and no matter how many of her friends played the bad guys, she didn't let up until she won. That life lasted for twelve very simple, but very happy years. Then she developed superpowers and things got a lot less simple.
Now that she was a real live hero, she had to fight crime and stuff. That was how she saw it. Her enthusiasm for Eastern culture comes into play here, as she turned to such mediums as anime and manga for some pointers. She signed up for classes on how to use a sword, got herself a wooden katana, and set out in her free time as what honestly was little more than a street vigilante. Three years later, something crazy happened. A real live villain had invaded Nadia's peaceful hometown. Being the only one with superpowers, it fell to Nadia to save her town. After a fight like none she'd experienced, the villain was apprehended and sent away. The cheers of admiration and gratitude on that day are sounds she'll never forget.
Using funds given to her for saving the town, Nadia purchased herself a real weapon. Preferring not to kill when possible, but still wanting the option just in case, Nadia had decided on a sakabato; a katana with the blade on the reverse side. Some more years passed, and eventually Nadia realized her fight against evil wasn't going to get very far in this little country town. Purchasing a set of armor to match her weapon of choice, Nadia left home at the age of twenty, and set out for Megatropolis.
Life in the big city was rough at first, but she quickly adjusted. In the interest of keeping an eye on the poor, who were both more likely to become wrongdoers and would be more easily victimized by pre-existing ones, Nadia purchased an apartment in District E, devoting all her spare time to the hunt for evil.
Skills: Outside of her skill with the sword, Nadia is good with machines and technology. Not to a point where she could craft superhero gadgets, but it's a goal of hers. She could probably get a day job as a mechanic or something if she wanted to. She's also a pretty decent artist.
Weaknesses: Nadia's power grows weaker with fear. This normally isn't a problem, as one would think she fears nothing. However, this is not entirely true; Nadia does have one fear. She's afraid of the dark, causing her to inherently be weaker at night or in dimly-lit places. A room with no light would render her completely powerless.

Here's my character idea. I hope we don't have too many heroes. I couldn't find a good picture.Name:
Taiichi Taylor
Alias:
Master Of Business Administration
Age:
34
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Hero
Appearance:
Taiichi’s appearance is unremarkable. He’s not particularly short or tall, his facial expression rarely changes from a small smile, and his hair is always closely cropped. For every public appearance, he makes sure to wear a freshly ironed business suit that matches the current trends but isn’t overly flashy. He’ll add some variation by wearing different ties (all of which are boring patterns of black or blue) and different watches. As a hero, he merely puts on a domino mask, anything else would be too expensive and unprofessional.
Personality
Taiichi is personable and has a strong desire to help people. He also has big ideas and loves to act as leader, owing to his great self-confidence. He considers his attention to detail and his work ethic to be his best attributes. He dislikes doing anything without planning ahead, and does not like rudeness. Taiichi has lingering doubts that sometimes overpower his self-confidence, especially when he meets failure.
Powers:
Business based magical spells
Weapons:
His briefcase which is full of whitepapers, case studies and management books, along with a laptop and projector for presentations. His smartphone also play a role in his spellcasting.
Fighting Style:
Taiichi fights from long range and operates best with a group. He supports them with spells to help strengthen them and harass enemies. He avoids close combat at all costs.
Signature Moves:
Hiring Freeze: An icy blast, best aimed from long range
Andon: A spell that is effective at holding a foe in place for a short period of time
Budget cut: A cutting blast of energy, not very powerful but also not very taxing
Two week notice: A teleportation spell that takes time to recharge and lacks precision, but is very good for getting him very far away very quickly.
Death by powerpoint: Taiichi’s greatest offensive weapon, requiring him to set up his laptop and projector beforehand. Even when it is not enough to finish a foe, it is good for occupying their attention while an ally launches their own attack.
Six Sigma: One of his many indistinguishable support spells, it strengthens allies fighting with him.
History:
Taiichi’s past prepared him for business success, having studied at the finest business schools in the world. Through dedicated study he began to discover the actual magic lurking beneath some of the world’s favorite management techniques and philosophies. After graduating he worked as a model employee of a large conglomerate, bring further success to the company. But one day, Taiichi discovered that his boss, who was also a formidable financial wizard, had been manipulating the corporate balance sheet with dark techniques forbidden by the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The ensuing scandal brought ruin to the company, and Taiichi was unfairly blamed for the fraud. His name was tarnished forever, so Taiichi took his fight for justice out of the boardroom and into the streets, becoming the masked hero Master of Business Administration.
Skills:
Taiichi is an expert at golf, mahjong, and falling asleep in odd places. He is also a connoisseur of liquor and surprisingly decent at karaoke.
Weaknesses:
Taiichi is very bad at taking responsibility for problems and frequently runs away when things get ugly. His powers depend on how much self-confidence he has and how much others believe in him, large setbacks damage this a lot and weaken him greatly. He lacks physical strength and has a hard time dealing with foes who get close to him.
Nemesis:

Name:
Dr. h.c. mult. Nikolaus Graham, RNDr MVDr M.D. etc.
Alias:
Professor Neuro
Age:
Born in 1912
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Villain
Personality
Neuro is a capricious, cowardly, mean-spirited creature defined mostly by his complete and utter lack of respect for human life.
Powers:
Kaijin: Neuro's greatest talent, and the one his parent organization makes the greatest use of, is his ability to quickly create various monsters, mutants, cyborgs, and assorted half-men collectively referred to as kaijin, which are generally a match for your average hero. Neuro normally uses humans as the basis for these creatures, though the majority are so far gone that destroying them is the only option.
Neurones: In addition to the human-based kaijin, Neuro also has an entourage of disposable minions created from lab-grown tissues, medical waste, and left over cybernetics, known as Neurones. They're not very bright, and their combat ability is on the level of an average human, but they are both numerous and fanatically loyal.
Cybernetics: Neuro himself is no slouch in a combat situation, having modified himself to become a powerful combat cyborg capable of matching most superhumans in a straight fight. His body also grants him a number of useful powers, such as the ability to directly interface with machinery and greatly enhanced senses.
Weapons:
Aldo: An arming sword, kept as a momento from his years in Germany. It has no particular powers, but he's infuratingly skilled at using it to parry attacks.
Additionally, he has a number of weapons embedded in his body, primarily electrical or chemical in nature.
Fighting Style:
Cold and calculating, Neuro's cybernetic parts allow him to dodge and parry attacks with effortless grace as he searches for an opening in his opponent's defense, striking with great force and precision- assuming he ever sticks around long enough to actually fight, that is.
Signature Moves:
With incredible speed and practiced efficiency, Neuro hits his panic button, calling Neurones and half-finished kaijin to his aid. He then runs away while the hero or heroes are distracted.
History:
Born in Germany just before the first world war, Nikolaus grew up in a land without pride or purpose. Frustrated with poor quality of life, constant disappointment, and one of the worst economic depressions in the history of mankind, he did what any disenfranchised youth does: He turned to politics. Specifically, he joined up with the German Socialist Workers Party.
Over the course of his time with the party, he gradually worked his way up through the ranks, eventually becoming an officer in the Schutzstaffel and assistant to Josef Mengele. There, he discovered his talent for medicine- specifically surgical procedures- while performing experiments on human subjects. Here, also, was where he began experimenting with "proactive self-improvement", as it were.
Fleeing Germany after WWII, he created a new face and a new name, reinventing himself as the mercenary mad scientist Professor Neuro, purveyor of purpose-built monsters. Currently, he is on payroll for one of the city's largest crime magnates, Papa Labrazio. Neuro's job, simply put, is to keep heroes and the police too busy to shut down organized crime, allowing the mob to operate with relative ease.
Skills:
-Effectively superhuman surgical skills
-Speaks French and German
-Remarkably talented landscape painter
-Skilled pianist
Weaknesses:
-Poor at fending off large numbers of opponents in hand-to-hand combat
-Finds direct confrontation distasteful
-Secret lab has notoriously subpar restraining devices and containment facilities, refuses to invest in better ones for some reason
Nemesis:

Other:
Nothing at the moment
Name:
Oliver Freeman
Alias:
Ironborn.
Age:
20.
Gender:
Male.
Alignment:
Civilian Neutral.
Personality
Oliver is not very well versed in the art of social interaction. When he hasn't spent his time living in D-District fishing and selling his catch, he's spent it avoiding others for fear of getting involved in illegal activities. He rarely speaks to anyone he deems suspicious, and remains guarded at other times. His manner of speech is soft and measured, and he tries to give the benefit of the doubt where he can. He has a vehement denouncement of anything ill-natured or illegal, and will rarely even speak roughly for fear of repercussions later on. Additionally, Oliver's manner may lead some to take him for a pushover or a bleeding heart. This is fair and completely true. Pressure is not a thing he does well with, and he is liable to crumble beneath it. In regards to heroes, villains and monsters, Oliver believes that the unrepresented few deserve the attention of the guarding Heroes, and that most are gloryhogs looking to make a name for themselves.
Powers:Iron Halo
Oliver is the bearer of the Iron Halo. A circle of silver spade-like blades joined by a ring of blackened metal that hovers at his back and empowers him in various ways. Through force of will, Oliver can push the Halo into various forms for the purposes of attack and defense or he can use it to enhance his natural attributes.
Weapons:
Iron Halo, Stinger, Might, and more forms as Oliver learns them.
Fighting Style:
Oliver is new to combat, and doesn't practice with his weapons. The Iron Halo can sometimes act of its own accord, in defence of its host, but otherwise Oliver seems to fight in a way that seems more like a street brawl than structured combat.
Signature Moves:Iron Arsenal - Stinger
Oliver is able to, as well as being able to use the bladed disc as a weapon, mold the Halo's blades into other weapons for short spans of time. Over time the arsenal will expand, but currently, Oliver is able to manifest the Halo as a bladed ring, the Iron Might and a long-headed spear he names Stinger. Due to the nature of the material the spear can easily be mended if broken, taking little more than a few minutes to repair if snapped in half, and will return when thrown.Iron Arsenal - Might
Oliver can also use the blades of the Halo to enhance his natural attributes by molding the blades into a pair of arm-covering gauntlets, knee-padded boots and a circlet. This allows him to move much faster and lift much heavier than his normal human capabilities. This move only lasts a few minutes before deactivating itself and leaving the Halo locked in its bladed ring form for a few minutes.Iron Impetus
Through the power of the Iron Halo, Oliver is able to charge his blows and release them to project concussive force across short-distances and within small areas. Slashes, thrusts, punches and other types of attack are all enhanceable by Impetus, amplifying the force with which they hit.
Actual moves will come as he actually learns to fight.
History:
Oliver lives in D-District with his family. He has always lived in D-District. Its fine enough for him, because he only really enjoys a few things in life and one of those is fishing. He was born to a fisher and his grandfather was a fisher before that, so naturally he learned and mastered the art rather quickly. It taught him patience, kept him away from trouble and showed him that there was more to life than heroes and villains and monsters.
But the day came when trouble came knocking at his doorstep. His father brought home something strange from his usual fishing spot. A cracked blade of silver metal, in the shape of a spade. Father told the family that he intended to try and pawn it off, and make a quick buck for them. Oliver envied his catch, but when he went to touch the piece, it zipped to a space behind his head. There it floated behind him as he went about the rest of his day in fear of it. The rest of the Halo rushed to him as he neared the river for his usual day of fishing, blades rushing up from beneath the water like a flurry of silver snow before they took up position in a ring behind him, and the dark steel of the Halo manifested. He had been chosen.
Since then he has not changed his routine. He still walks down to his secret fishing spot by the wrecked dock, he still casts his line into the water and waits for a bite. The difference being, now and then he goes spear-fishing with the help of the Halo. But recently he's been finding himself closer and closer to crimes in progress, or criminals. Is he finally growing a spine, or could it be that the Iron Halo is having an effect on him? Pushing him to do the right thing?
Skills:
Master fisherman, cooking connoisseur, swimming adept.
Weaknesses:
Electricity will conduct through Oliver and jolt to the Iron Halo, disrupting any activity it is presently engaged in.
The Iron Halo, while not actually made of Iron, is still able to be bent, warped and broken. Sufficient force, heat or energy will damage it.
Nemesis:
None currently.
Story Arc Ideas:
- Oliver decides to learn to be a hero under another character. (Master and Student training montages. Mister Miyagi to the Karate Kid)
- Oliver fights his first giant monster with others and its sink or swim.
- Power-up Episode!
Other:

So if it's really been 15,000 years, how come the city still looks almost completely normal, just with some moderate technological improvements? 15,000 years, especially at the rate we're going by, would be more than enough for humanity to reach the technological singularity and make most contemporary designs for everything entirely obsolete. Has society gone through multiple gigantic wars that sent everyone back to the stone age?
Technology had been lost and found quite often. Most of the development was sideways instead of forwards. It's mostly an excuse for people to have a bunch of super high-tech things.
also, that means there's been at least 3 technology resets thanks to a certain saltlords, meaning that there have been multiple golden ages of piracy.

Name:
Murray, Herald of the Metalocalypse
Alias:
Murray has no alias, for he has no reason to hide his identity.
Age:
As old as sound itself, but didn't achieve sentience until 1968.
Gender:
Whitesnake
Alignment:
Villain
Appearance:
See Above
Personality
At his core, Murray is an entertainer. The Herald is extravagant, loud, and nearly impossible to anger. He simply wishes to put on a show for the denizens of Earth, and honour the Lords of Metal.
Powers:
Genes of Simmons: Murray's tongue is prehensile and several feet in length, allowing him to shred on his guitar even while his hands are occupied.
Making an entrance: Any true son of metal knows that a proper entrance is mandatory, and Murray is no different. His arrival is always heralded by a chorus of fallen angels and a sizable explosion, swiftly followed by Murray himself power-sliding onto the scene whilst igniting the ground with his legs.
Weapons:
The Pick-Axe of Destiny: Forged from questionably holy power ballads and the hair of primordial metalheads, Murray's personal guitar is an instrument of immense power. Surpassing the limits of mortal comprehension, the sound produced by it is a weapon in itself; a brief solo will release an explosion of sound, often followed by any lesser beings & structures spontaneously exploding. In the event someone foolishly decides to interrupt one of Murray's performances, he can use the 'business end' of his axe as a melee weapon; taking advantage of an edge no less brutal than his music.
His guitar is also bound to him both physically and spiritually, responding to any attempt at separation by way of forcibly returning to Murray in a flash of electricity.
Fighting Style:
Murray is less of a fighter and more of a performer. It just so happens that his performances are incredibly destructive. When it comes down to it, however, he is more than willing to partake in a 'traditional' brawl; by way of mighty kicks, headbangs, and swings from his axe.
Signature Moves:
Thunder Road: Requires a motor vehicle. By jacking his guitar into any nearby car, Murray empowers the mortal vehicle with a surge of electricity, thus transforming it into a hellish hotrod with a mind of its own. With the Herald atop its hood, the car can achieve flight so long as Murray continues to play, propelled along a track formed from lightning and thunderheads.
Live Wire: Channeling electricity into his guitar, the Herald channels a lash formed of lightning to awe the crowd and electrocute opponents.
History:
In the past, Murray was a formless demon, a primordial embodiment of exceptionally loud sounds. In the year 1968 on the Gregorian calendar, however, a miracle occurred. A miracle known only as Heavy Metal. With the genre's birth, so too was Murray reborn, finding new life and purpose as a hellish champion of music. As the years went by, Heavy Metal grew, and countless saints of the genre came and left. All the while, Murray remained in hell, belting out mighty solos in their honour.
Now, it is 17095 A.D. (Anno Dio), and an ancient prophecy is beginning to unfold. The four prophecized sons of Metal have been born, signalling the foretold Tour to End All Tours. The time has come for Murray to walk the Earth, find these four sons, form the ultimate band, and bring forth Armageddon.
Skills:
Master Musician: Unsurprisingly, Murray is an incredibly skilled guitarist, leagues above all but the mightiest of metalheads.
Weaknesses:
The Devil You Know: Murray is vulnerable to all the traditional weaknesses of his kind; such as holy water, blessed icons of the church, a rock-off challenge, being killed, and so on and so forth.
Nemesis:
