Name:Rose Raventhorn
Military codename:TBD
Gender:Female
Age:27
Appearance:Rose has a small, meek frame. She would be unnoticeable if it wasn't for her cotton white hair, a genetic anomaly of her family. Her face is ghastly white, one might think she was sick if it wasn't for the soft, yet refined edges of her nearly always serious expression, tinged with a hint of gloom. She has an acute nose, with ivory lips an well kept brows. Her head is always adorned with a bonnet or hat in an attempt to hide her hair and face.
Resting upon her neck is a near permanent scarf, to hide the more permanent deformation; A jagged purple and black scar across her throat. Thick clothing drapes her silhouette of a body, and even with several layers of dress she is still paper thin. Gloves cover her hands in an attempt to hide her mangled fingers. Overall her appearance is quaint, the symbolism of her giving up her search for a suitor, leaving her as forgettable if it weren't for her unique figure and features.
Personality:'......' : RoseRose is difficult to understand. Many find her intriguing from the heir of her family's history. Most find her eerie, bidding to keep their distance from the 'doll girl'. And more often than not she is found as annoying, leading to her being verbally bashed from her silence.
Overall Rose enjoy's acting as an observer, hoping to be forgotten until needed. She will stand idly by during instructions or a conversation, only being noticed when the group has disbanded, staring awkwardly into the mass of people. When it is time to communicate, she shyly uses one or two syllable mouth gestures, combined with minimal hand movements. This allows her to get her point across without too much social interaction.
Though meek, Rose has an explosive temper. While rarely angered, when teased about her lack of a love life (or any social life at all), or at the inclination of her failing at something, Rose become unstable, either breaking down if taunted by a group, or by an unstable, violent outburst (physically she is seldom successful, her bouts of power instability make her an environmental hazard).
Biography:Growing up on a farm was tough, especially in a clan where she was expected to do great things. All of the females on Rose's mother's side of the family adorn a rare genetic defect; Nearly devoiding them of all physical pigment, but granting them the unique skill of amplified magic in the form of dimensional manipulation. This destined her mother, and her mother before her, et all to become great tools of the King. Saboteurs, assassins, the titles were as numerous as the lives saved by her ancestors service to the King. It was even rumored by her grandmother that once some members of her lineage had mastered their magic to the point that they could not only enter the void; they could exit at a different location and take others with them.
Most of what Rose knew from her family couldn't be discerned from truth or falsehood. What she was told was fleeting memories from her grandmother when she was a child. Other bits of information she grabbed from her family history book, stating her lineage had a great relation through 'serving the King' as 'special informants and loyalists'. The only direct line of information she received was from her mother, saying when she was 18, she would be sent off to a 'special school' that she may 'better serve her people'. All the stories ceased at the grim age of 14.
Out helping her father harvest the crops, Rose had a tragic accident with a combine. Leaving her a hideous scar across her throat, mangled hands and presumably mute, her life took a tragic turn for the worse. Though her hands mostly recovered, her mother refused to speak directly to her, calling her a 'disgrace', telling her that the only hope she'd ever have is to marry to a wealthy man. For the next 6 years, Rose did everything within her power to court a male, failing on every occasion.
By age 20 (the upper end of acceptable marriage age within her clan), she had given up hope, and had taken on the position of elder maid, caring for those who would soon come to pass in her family. For seven years she held this position until the burden became too much. One night during an argument with her irate mother, the pressure within Rose's mind began to build until something happened. Her expression went blank, and suddenly a rift appeared, engulfing a retaining wall near her home. Unknowing of this fact, her mother continued to berate her until the wall came unleashed through the rift, launching through one of the family barns, destroying the support pillars and killing the livestock inside.
Disgraced and cast out from her family, Rose wandered the neighboring villages, trying to figure out what had happened. Was this the power her grandmother had hinted at? Determined to find out more, she headed towards the signs for the King's Mecha Carta institute, eager to help refine her power and find a new calling in life.
Military Job:Mage
Magic:Flat-Space/3rd-Dimensional Pocketing Magic
In Rose's bloodline runs a unique form of magic, the key to her bloodline's success in the King's Royal Mage Corps before the advent of mechs. This form of magic allows for the storage and retrieval of objects from an undetermined dimension. Simple enough at first, this form of magic has several uses. It allows for stealthy entrances, removing a locked door from a path to slip into a corridor as guards pass by. For demolition based espionage through use of her magic beacons: Leaving a beacon at the bottom of support columns, then activating them when at a safe distance through psionic command. This devours the bottom of the pillars away from a structure, causing an instantaneous demolition.
But, her powers are not only that of a saboteur. Items stored in the mysterious dimension can be recalled at a moments notice. Large sections of support columns can be ushered back into the battlefield, providing cover for her squad mates or a large throwing projectile for allied mechs. Also, some weapons, armor and other aid supplies can be recalled from the void, provided much needed supplies in the heat of battle.
The key to the flat-space magic is the user's mind. Items, even if on a large scale, such as boulders, can be recalled and stored with ease. It is simple rock, with nothing of significant value to remember. Large or complex weapons, kits, or other items however are a problem to the untrained caster. Due to the fact the caster's subconscious has to remember and store the pattern and makeup from every gear, spring and bolt to pull the weapon back from the void as a functioning object. This makes storing of several complex weapons, or large items such as canons a tremendous mental task only capable of a seasoned caster. Overloading of the caster's subconscious can cause a rip in the dimensional containment, causing everything but the most basic of items such as steel and rock to be consumed and destroyed. Rarely, if a caster is put under extreme duress, a mental containment slip can occur, causing instantaneous displacement or placement of objects in the immediate vicinity, which can lead great danger in combat scenarios.
The magic is operated in two ways. For direct removals, somatic magic is used, 'bending' reality around the object, sucking it into the portal. This is mostly used for objects, but can be used on enemy combatants, but it is much more difficult on moving targets. Secondly, psionic triggers can be used to detonate the beacons she leaves to suck the targets into the warp. Extreme anger or fear can amplify her psionic abilities, and, though unstable, can directly absorb small grounds of enemies into the void. Organic beings brought into the void are destroyed and cannot return.
Spirit Name:????
(Refereed as her 'Family Artifact')

Most cannot stand to hold it for more than a few seconds, claiming the voices crawl through their minds as if they were real.
Spirit Power:Allows for the possession of enemy combatants, human or daemonic. For a minimal sacrifice of Rose's health, the artifact is used to read the mind of nearby enemy combatants. For a larger wound toward's Rose's well being, the daemonic being or human can be controlled; aiding Rose in combat or leading her to a desired location. Her artifact cannot be activated by members outside of her family, but it is rumored that daemons may use it with no ill effect. The power of the artifact may only affect those with evil intentions; No good natured being or friend of Rose may be affected. Most sacrificial injuries are internal.
Spirit Origin:Rose's grandmother never revealed to her where the artifact came from, nor what it's ultimate purpose was. Some of the rumors in her family book point to it being a daemonic artifact. Still rumors in the novel persist it is man made, a gift to her ancestors by a past king for use during their service.

While directly shy towards groups, Rose can open up to individuals in need. Never finding a suitor to marry meant Rose became the primary caretaker of her family's elders, 'a shameful, but useful' position as viewed by her mother. Rose has a soft, delicate touch able to calm those under extreme duress. Growing up on a farm means that she can adapt even scavenged wild plants and meats into a dish worth dying for. Wile not capable of mending extreme injuries, ailments such as lacerations, fever, and allergic reactions can be treated easily by her as long as supplies are available. And, if you just need a shoulder to lean on, Rose would be happy to oblige; She promises she won't say a peep.
